Most of the time I have felt that there is a disconnect between what I am envisioning and what the colorist interprets, resulting in corrections. Not this time! I read reviews of this salon on citysearch and booked my appointment with Mayra. I was not disappointed. She is amazing. She looked at my eye color and complexion and figured out what hair color would look best. I was pleased beyond words. She has extensive experience and she is very professional and pleasant. I know that I will be coming back to this salon to see her!

When a best friend of mine told me that I needed to search the city for an expert "blonding" salon because my hair had no shine and the color was dead--- I researched the web and found Oleg Kaz. After reading all the reviews I made an appt. with Myra and I got the best color ever! When I lived in CT I went to salons that thrive on the many blondes living in Westport, and their constant need of highlights, however I never got these kind of results and the treatment there, that I got at Oleg Kaz.The experience was above and beyond. Myra knew exactly what she was doing. She paid careful attention to my skin coloring and chose shades of highlights that brought out the gold in my brown eyes. She is extremely professional and very warm and friendly at the same time. I really felt that I was in good hands and I couldn't be more satisfied with the results. My hair looks amazing.She brought it back to life. It moved and it had shine and it was the perfect blonde for me. Everyone is commenting on my hair and I couldn't be happier. So glad I picked you.

I only joined citysearch because Oleg said they were registered here and I want to tell everyone how amazing he is!
I have had my naturally medium blonde hair butchered so many times with color I have stopped counting. I didn't have an appointment, I just walked in because I had just had my color completely ruined by another hair salon. I was in a state and just asked the first person I saw (Oleg) what he could do with THIS (pointing at my hair). He smiled and said no problem, I will take care of that myself.
My hair was black with red underneath and he turned it into a lovely coppery blonde as a transition and now I went back after my hair grew for a few weeks (8 to be exact) and I said do whatever you want. I now have an even more gorgeous honey blonde. I was so happy I had to hug Oleg! Don't let his height or Russian straightforwardness scare you, he is a teddy bear. A teddy bear with a natural eye for color.

I have finally found my colorist and I'm not going anywhere else, ever again.

It is very difficult to find a colorist who can give you an exceptional color that really works for YOU. I found Oleg Kaz Salon here on CitySearch, trusted their reviews, and had Agata give me highlights that suited me 100%. It was better than I dared to hope for. The soft, sandy high and low lights are perfect for the summer. Olga cut my hair after, her hair cut speaks for itself, it moves, it flows and it?s a great style. I am so excited that I finally found two truly creative and talented hair designers.......

Oleg Kaz has been coloring and highlighting/lowlighting my curly hair for over 8 years! I first discovered this master of hair color in his former salon on Fashion Avenue. I can honestly say that Oleg changed my life! Do you know how difficult it is to make highlighted curls look natural? Well he does it with ease. Oleg's eye for color is amazing...he is truly an artist. I can't begin to list how many compliments on my haircolor that I've received throughout the years.

I look forward to my visits to Oleg Kaz Salon! In fact, I travel from NJ every 8 weeks religiously. I would never be able to afford to visit most of the other NY salons this frequently, but Oleg's prices have always been very reasonable. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. If you haven't already booked an appointment, you are truly missing out on chic European salon experience!

Ruth Madoff isn?t the only one with stale hair color these days. I can tell that some of my friends have been scrimping on their hair color too. Thank goodness I haven?t had to experience that. Sure, my household has been affected circumstance lately, like everybody?s I guess. But I am fortunate that Mayra from Oleg Kaz Salon has been coloring my hair for the past 4 years. Not only is Mayra?s color service impeccable, but the price of the services at Oleg Kaz is really a bargain, especially compared to the prices at the east side salons. I have never had a hair colorist like Mayra. She produces the same precise effect consistently, time and again. The consistency of Mayra?s work is unmatched in my experience. I have recommended Mayra to several of my friends, and each friend has been as delighted with her services as I continue to be. As an added benefit, when Mayra colors my hair, I also feel spiritually uplifted, like I?ve been touched by a healer. When it?s all said and done, I look like a million, and that makes me feel like a million. I don?t hesitate for one second to recommend Mayra?s color service to anyone. That?s why I?m not surprised to see my east side friends heading over to the west side to have Mayra work her magic with their hair color too.

This was my first time in the salon and I will definitely be going back again and again! Mayra is fantastic. she helped me decide what kind of color would be best for my hair. I needed something low maintenance and semi-permanent. No roots! She was thoughtful and listened to my concerns-I've never had professional coloring done before! It was a great experience and I highly recommend Mayra to anyone looking for a talented colorist.

I cant believe it. I just had my hair cut and it is exactly what I didnt want. I stopped by as a walk-in, mostly based on the positive reviews I saw on this very site. I told the girl cutting my hair that my last haircut was very short and I wanted to leave it as long as possible- but also give it a little style. My hair is now soooo short! I couldnt believe it. I started crying in front of everyone. Okay maybe this was the misunderstanding of one stylist- but still, even though everyone was watching- no manager or senior staff offered help or even a tissue. I still paid in full and left- still crying. Very disappointing. Lesson learned, only go to placed based on recommendations from a person you know- not a website- I think many reviews could be by the staff/owner themselves.

I had been going to the same hairdresser for 13 years: during his good and bad days, in his upper west side salon and then to his new salon in Astoria. After three horrific final cuts and highlights, I finally gathered the strength to find a new stylist. Everyone recommended to me were way too expensive and I finally gave up enough to just try the place around the corner from me, even without a recommendation. Surprise, it was amazing! Mayra is a godsend! She's fun and professional and made sense out of the mess that had been previously made to my hair. Her color was incredible too (the neatest foild I have ever seen). I've been back 3 or 4 times since (and am scheduling another appointment now), and she has been consistently fabulous.

I started going to Oleg Kaz a couple of years ago and am absolutely in love with this place. All the hair stylists are really skilled at what they do, and always wear a smile on their faces. Agatha and Oleg are great with colors, and I love how Olga blowdries my hair, and the women who wash my hair are fabulous too. But I do not hesitate to use the other stylists - they are uniformly good with my hair. When I enter the salon, everyone recognizes and greets me, but they also recognize not to bother me if I appear busy with my Blackberry! Oleg knows to put the Food Channel on for me when I sit down, as I sip their wonderful lemon-infused water. And all this great service won't leave a huge hole in your pocket either. I do hope they stay this good.

I was walking by Oleg Kaz and saw Mayra working in the window, I thought to myself what a beautiful woman, and she looked like she was having a blast with her client in the chair! I needed to go see her and get her help with my look, and absorb some of her energy. I went in for a half head of highlights, and trust me I have tricky hair, she spent time with me going over what would be best for my hair texture, skin coloring, and overall style. I was very appriciative of the consultation, it really put me at ease. LET ME TELL YOU.. my finished look was better than I could have ever hoped! I walked out of there feeling like a million bucks! Not only is Mayra super talented, but really friendly and easy to talk to also. I'm so excited to see her again, that I booked my next color before I left. I would give my experiece 10 stars if they would let me!

I had spent two years letting my grey hair grow in and was glad to be free of the tyranny of coloring every three weeks, but I wasn't quite happy with exactly how grey my hair was. Mayra helped with very subtle low-lights, which allowed me to go from more salt than pepper to more pepper than salt, but not a soul asked about what I'd done. I just got general compliments. Now I won't have to go back and do it again for three to six months.

At the same time I had clear hair glazing done to improve the texture of my grey hair. This was not so successful. I actually saw very little difference.

One thing to know in advance is that having one's hair blown dry is not included in the price of coloring here. So plan for that extra.

Overall a positive experience. I liked Mayra very much and will go back. Love my low-lights.

Cons: Extra for blow-dry. Clear glaze had almost no effect.

This is my first experience going to Oleg Kaz Salon and it was great. I recently relocated from San Diego to UWS. I visited several salons before deciding on Oleg Kaz Salon. What one me over first was the ratings on CitySearch and secondly when I visited, the gentleman at the front desk was very pleasant and recommended that I see Agata for a consultation. The salon was very Professional, Love the brick walls!! and with a great ambiance. It felt like great things happen in this salon. It had a vibrant vibe that matched my personality. I scheduled my consultation with Agata for next week. I got there a few minutes early and Agata was waiting for me. During the consultation she asked me many questions about my hair color and gave me options that was best suited for me. I showed her a photo of a hair color I liked from the magazine and Agata was honest about how she could create the highlights but more suited for me. She even discussed hair care and things I could do in few months after my hair grows out. I was impressed, Agata gave me a hair color and highlights that made me look like a STAR !!! it was like transformation before my eyes. My hair looked fabulous. The girl at the shampoo area massaged my scalp so tenderly that I felt myself drifting off. She was very attentive offering me something to drink. I was also impressed that color, highlights, and style took less than 2.5 hours. I felt special going there and that is the feeling you want to have when you go to the salon. They have a new customer and I can't wait to go back!

I came here based on the good reviews on citysearch, but I was very disappointed. The service was very poor and most of the people were very rude. Also don't look at the listed prices because you will not pay what is on that price list. I was estimating about 125 for my cut and color, but it was $240. I wouldn't mind if the result was positive but it was the worst cut I have ever had. I wish I had looked at other places and I will not go back. My advice is make sure your stylist knows what you want. I wouldn't recommend it.

NO ONE CAN MATCH MAYRA?S HIGHLIGHTS

The dog days of August make me feel stressed. The thought of my therapist relaxing on Cape Cod for a month makes me feel anxious. So, I take lots of deep breaths. I also take solace in my highlights. Thank goodness my colorist Mayra doesn?t go away in August. If my shrink is out of town, I insist my hair look great. I keep my hair mid-length during the summer because of the NYC humidity. Mayra says perfect highlights are essential for mid-length cuts. She literally weaves my hair into more foils than I can count, then finishes with a glaze. The result is amazing. Sun-kissed for the rest of the summer, ready for the fall social season. I feel like a million bucks. Next time you find yourself on Broadway and 88th street, look in the window of Oleg Kaz Salon. Mayra works in the window. Watch her work for a few minutes and you?ll be convinced. Ask Mayra for an initial consultation. I?m glad I did.

I have been going to Reagan for the last four months, and every single time she has given me an immaculate cut. She is wonderful! She has such a great, sweet manner, and gives such a good cut that all I have to do is tell her what length I'm going for, and the general look, and she'll make me look awesome. We've done a classic bob, a bob with bangs, and just yesterday she gave me this super cute pixie cut. Yesss! Not only is Reagan fantastic, but the entire salon is adorable, and everyone there is very sweet and attentive. Not an ounce of pretention, just sweet people and great hair! I love this place!! I've been to several high end salons here in the city, and never have I been as happy with a cut as I have been with Reagan. She rocks!

The staff at this Salon were simply marvelous. I walked in for my 530pm appointment for highlight and haircut and both Agatha and Regan met with me immediately. They were extremely nice and asked what they would be doing for me today. They were very professional and I was impressed with how attentive they were.

Agatha spent so much time on my highlights and made me feel very comfortable. She did an amazing job, I love love love my highlights. As time went on it was almost closing and she did such a careful job on my hair that it was 7pm, closing time of the salon. I apologized and said I would come back for the hair cut but they said nonsense your getting your haircut.

Regan was awesome, sweet and did a great job cutting my hair. It was so nice of them to stay till 730pm when the salon closes at 7pm. I definitely was treated like a princess. I enjoyed every minute I was there. I definitely will be going back here!

My old stylist moved shops, and my hair has been neglected. No more.

Olga was exceptionally attentive for my style and highlights. Her blend of strawberry blond and golden blond highlights was exactly what I wanted. And her very fine comb work makes the color seamless with my own. Yeah!

The shop was a bit far from my office, but well worth it -- I'll be booking my next appointment soon.

My first time at Oleg Kaz Salon was today, I have been bouncing between different hair salons trying to find the right one and finally I am wildly pleased. Oleg Kaz is the BEST!! He fixed my awful, stripy, outgrown highlights and made them subtle and sophisticated. Then Olga gave me the exact haircut that I described to her. Everyone was so friendly and polite. There is absolutely no attitude here. I highly recommend Oleg Kaz Salon, and I am not going to anyone else!!!

I was daring and desperate and did something I have never done, I asked some one on the subway, Who does her color!! I was well rewarded for my courage. I found Agata! She is a professional, intuitive, courteous hair color specialist! Agata did an amazing job highlighting my hair. The place is very friendly and quiet. There is no drama or self- importance and you will be out in no time! Every body was very accommodating, and I love my highlights! definitely going back to see Agata! I really recommend this place. I came across Oleg Kaz Salon by paging through the reviews on the best highlights in NYC. I am 26 years old and have been getting my color done for 10 years. This is the first time anyone has ever cared about my hair. Agata was amazing, she made me feel so comfortable, and she didn't make me feel that my request to be platinum was unattainable. I can't wait until I have roots so I can go to see Agata again. They are reasonably priced, and conveniently located in the Heart of UWS.

My hair needed to have color- correction because the last person who did my highlights (at Jeffrey Stein) totally screwed it up!! My hair needed to be colored back to its natural shade to get rid of all the over highlighting and than be re-highlighted all over. Oleg Kaz colored my hair, and he was very accommodating and he explained the procedure I needed to me in a very professional manner. He did a beautiful job. It looks very natural. He also recommended that we glaze the hair with a gloss. That made my hair incredibly shiny. He told me that I am not leaving this salon unhappy and he would do everything to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. I am very pleased and can't wait to go back. I was not expecting to spend the extra money to have my hair corrected but I am glad I did, because it looks great now. I was hesitant to go there, but I will go back again and again. I can't wait to see Oleg Kaz for my highlights again.

I found OLEG KAZ SALON on CitySearch and I don't regret it. As a first time client the man at the front desk welcomed me to have a consultation with Agata. When she looked at my hair she told me what needs to be done in order to make it healthy and tones of colors would be good for my complexion. I had asked Agata for caramel highlights, but she advised to have them more blonde for the summer and towards fall and winter time we would go back to caramel. My hair was so damaged from the previous highlight job, but Agata took a GREAT care of my hair. I couldn't believe I had beautiful blonde hair with two tone highlights. After, Agata recommended me to have Glaze done to my hair, this was such a great thing to do!! It brought lots of shine to my hair and back to being healthy. No one ever gave me such an AMAIZING color and highlights Agata is FANASTIC at what she does. I was standing next to the mirror for half an hour and couldn't stop looking and touching my hair. The price is right for my highlights and healthy hair!!

As a theater producer I'm used to having a vision and then picking talented people to explore it and
bring it back, usually better than I first ocnceived it. So it was when I went to Oleg Kaz Salon
and worked with Marya Bocanegra, who is a sophisticated colorist and understands the word
"subtle". Tito did updo and I have very little hair. He made me look like I had lots of hair.
I had found Oleg Kaz on the internet and from the reviews I read I could tell that real, different
people had written them so I took a chance. Welcoming, skilled and attuned to listen to
what this customer wanted. I was thrilled to show up for my son's wedding. I would certainly
go back. i highly reccomend these two artists at Oleg Kaz Salon. It's pricey but I felt
I was paying not just for labor but for two designers..

I?ve been going to the same hair colorist for 12 years, but in the last year or so, I felt like he wasn?t paying as much attention to me when I came in for color and highlights. I felt like he was spending more time talking to me about his problems than focusing on my hair. Long story short: last week I had him color my hair before a public appearance, and I was horrified with the results. I had skunk stripes that looked brassy, the color was more red than blonde, and there were yellow spots.

I needed corrective color immediately and I knew I needed an expert to take care of it. One of my friends recommended Mayra at the Oleg Kaz Salon. Mayra is a corrective color specialist. That same day, I stopped by the Oleg Kaz Salon for a consultation with Mayra, explaining that this was a 911 situation for me.

Mayra reassured me that she could correct the mistakes of my previous colorist.
She explained the process very clearly to me and I said let?s go. First and foremost she repaired the hair itself, then she re-worked the color.

When she was finished, my hair looked the way I expected it to the in the first place. Shiny, highlighted and healthy. I?m hooked on Mayra now. I won?t go anywhere else. The bottom line? My hair was badly abused, and Mayra had the formulas and expertise to make it beautiful.

I had an appointment set already with my colorist Mayra! I was super excited because i hadn't seen her since i left overseas( which not to mention was at the beginning of the summer)!!! My hair looked dull and dry because of all the sun and salt water i had taken this year....:( When i got to the salon i had explained to her exactly what i was going for this time around and i now wanted a fall look!. She sat me in her chair of wonders and just worked me to a T!!!!! I absolutely love the way she works! Her hands work miracles! I colored my hair and added a few highlights to make it stand out and it was just as fabulous as i pictured! I also needed a cut to shape and form my hair! I have short to mid length hair and i just wanted a cut to work the fresh color. The cut was perfect! It made my color stand out more and i didn't stop getting compliments from my husband and coworkers!!!!!! I am always impressed at her creativity and she just knows what works best! I love her and i wouldn't change her for the world! :) The prices are def. worth paying for! I would def. recommend her to ANYONE! This woman can def. take on a challenge! Thanks Oleg for having such a talented colorist who def. knows what color and style is about!!! :-D

A GOOD EYE FOR COLOR

I MUST STOP BY and put a good word in for Mayra Bocanegra.
In my opinion, Mayra is one of the top colorists in New York City.
She?s been doing highlights for me since she moved here from La Jolla 3 years ago.
Her training is most impressive. Vidal Sassoon, Louis Licardi, L?oreal.
She learned from the best, and it shows in her work.
Her highlights are impeccable. Mayra seems to weave the hair into the foils,
which creates a healthy sun-kissed look. I have her finish it with a glaze.
Her work is so finely crafted, a lot of my colleagues have no idea I have highlights.
Mayra makes me look like a million bucks. She has a great eye for color.

The other day, I was standing behind my boss while she was showing me an image on her computer monitor. When I looked down at her head, I noticed she had a lot of grey hair. I diplomatically mentioned that she should have Mayra put a glaze in her hair.

She turned to look at me and said ?If I color my hair, I?m buying into the tyranny of the beauty industry.? I told her with all due respect that survival in the business world demands an attractive, healthy vital image. I also reminded her that she?s competing in the job market with women in their 20?s. I think survival in the employment marketplace depends on looking great as well as being good at what you do.

Mayra has been glazing my hair for about 3 years now. I have a barber cut my hair weekly in a military fade cut and every two or three weeks Mayra applies a glaze to my hair. Mayra says I?m 60% gray (or silver, as she says).

The thing I like about the glaze that Mayra puts in my hair is that it is not a permanent color. A glaze is a semi-permanent color that washes out after a few weeks. With a glaze, my hair always looks natural, I never have the look of roots. My colleagues have no idea that I have my hair darkened. (Full disclosure?Mayra also darkens my eyebrows with the glaze.)

In my opinion, it is essential to my success to maintain a meticulous appearance. Especially in New York.

I went here on a whim to get an updo for a very important social event... and I'm ever-nervous of New York City salons that I'm not familiar with. I met Nico, and he gave me the exact updo I was looking for, perfect for this event! He was fast, and the service was wonderful ... the owner actually checked on me twice and was very cordial. Not terribly pricey, either. Going back for my NYE updo! I'd highly recommend it.

I was recommended by a few friends in the nieghborhood to see Mayra, as she is a color specialist. I must say she knows her stuff. I work at a popular restaurant by christie and rivington and have received tons of compliments! I have not colored my hair in years because I could never find anyone who did a good job. The search has ended! I highly recommed asking for Mayra. You won't regret it!

I just wanted to give this place a shot since I live just around the corner. I had no wait time and the bikini wax experience was quite good. Well, Challa knows how to pull the cloth from your skin so that wax hurts the least, she cleaned the un-pulled shorter hair with a tweezer (I never got this extra anywhere else), she was very quick and efficient. She is also very friendly and informative throughout the process, so that you get yourself ready for the unavoidably painful experience (but again, she hurts the least). Running into a native for a very special service was the highlight of the overall experience (she speaks Turkish), and I will definitely go again.

Oleg Kaz is one of the only "classy" UWS salons. Mayra, who previously owned her own salon in San Diego, will take care of you. She uses kind, honest tact to provide a person with the perfect color, highlights, cut or style that works for him or her. Not only does she take special care without rush, she gives you the choice of enjoying great conversation while she is at it!

Granted it was just an impulse change in hair color (ok maybe it was a mid-life crisis decision) and I'll admit that my decision to choose Oleg Kaz Salon was based purely on location but the level of service and skill made me very glad that I took the chance. The service I received at Oleg Kaz Salon was very courteous, timely and skilled. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating despite the fact that I was a first time customer. The level of service was some of the best I have ever received and I would highly recommend the salon. Plus I love my new hair color.

I went to Oleg Kaz today to get my first bikini wax ever. I was a bit scared because I thought it would be awkward and painful. Challah, the waxer, did a great job of minimizing both. I don't have any other waxing experiences to compare it to, but it the pain was surprisingly not that bad. I definitely will be going back.

Just wanted to stop by quickly and give kudos to Myra, the colorist at Oleg Salon. I recently moved to the Upper West Side and found Mayra when I was checking out the neighborhood listings on City Search.

When I first went to see Myra, I had just returned from a month vacation at the
I went away for a month to Jamaica on vacation and when I got back to New York my hair was a wreck.

Myra explained that she is a corrective color specialist. My hair had been damaged by the chlorine and ocean salt during my vacation. It was dry at the ends and brittle. The highlights that I had done two months ago in Chicago looked like straw.

Myra touched up the highlights and applied a glaze that corrected both my roots and the texture of my hair. When I walked out of Oleg Salon, I looked like a million bucks, and I felt like a million too!

I recommend Myra?s color services to anyone. Believe me you won?t be disappointed.

I just saw Challa for my second brazilian wax. I found this salon on City Search last month, and decided to give it a try. The first time was so pleasant that I had to come back and see Challa again. Girls, this is the waxer of the century! Not only is she quick, but I must say that this was the most pain free wax I've had in NYC. (Of course, by yanking hair out by the root, there is always SOME degree of discomfort.) I also loved that after getting everywhere that not all waxers will go, she tweezed all of the spare hairs and trimmed the proverbial "landing strip" so that the complete area looked extra groomed. There's nothing like having "b*sh confidence" and I must say that I'm now a happy and regular customer!

Based on all of the reviews I expected a great job on my single process color. I came in knowing exactly what I wanted, articulated it, but the results were far from what I expected. They charged an exorbitant amount, and the finished product was not at all worth it. I wouldn't recommend it.

I called to make 2 simultaneous appointments for me and a friend. We were trying to make a play in the late afternoon, and the person on the phone couldn't have sighed louder as I tried to come up with a time that would work for us. With so many fantastic salons in the city, why waste our time at a place with no customer service? No thanks.

I live in San Diego and work at a local news station here. When Mayra Bocanegra was the head of the color department at the Mark Dearinger Salon, she did highlights and a glaze for me every three weeks for six years. I?ve been reading some of the other comments about Mayra?s work here on Citysearch, and I just wanted to testify that they are true?Mayra is truly a magjcian with highlights and color. When she moved back to New York a few years ago, I was devastated. I?ve worked with several colorists since then, but no one has been able to match the natural look that Mayra consistently achieved. In fact, I?m actually thinking about taking a job with a New York station just to be closer to Mayra!

I found the Oleg Kaz salon on citysearch. Based on the high reviews I made an appointment. Mayra did my highlights and I love them...very natural. The entire staff is very nice and the salon itself is clean and very well maintained.

I found this place on citysearch this afternoon. I called to make an appointment and the guy on the phone was very nice and told me i could come over as soon as I can, as they were closing at 7. He could have told me to make an appointment for tomorrow but he didn't. Anyway, I met him when I walk in, what a nice guy!!! Very friendly and I didn't feel like i was in a stuffy salon on the upper west side! I met the waxer, Challa, and she took me downstairs to the "waxing room". Which was vey clean!! Now mind you, i have never been waxed besides my eyebrows and she made me laugh and feel very very comfotable! This girl is a doll!!! She let me yell, scream and curse and just laughed at me and with me! All and all it was a great experience and I can't wait to go back (well kinda, if you catch my drift ladies)!!!

I recently went to Oleg Salon for the first time. I?ve been using a colorist at another salon in the
neighborhood for a few years, but Yevka (my former colorist) went to back Russia for several months and I wasn?t sure that I trusted anyone else in her salon.

I live on the Upper West Side, so I naturally prefer a salon that?s in my neighborhood. One day I walked past the Oleg Salon, and I couldn?t help but notice the colorist who was working right by the window. I studied her for a good while, putting foils of different colors in the hair of a very pretty young woman. I could tell she had an expert touch with blonde highlights.

I introduced myself to the colorist, Mayra Bocanegra, and made an appointment for the next day. Even though I?m going to the beach for memorial day weekend, my husband?s colleague
is hosting a cocktail reception in Hyannis on Saturday night, so I needed to touch up my color before the weekend.

Usually I have highlights in my hair, but Mayra suggested that I try highlights with a glaze.
I didn?t know this, but a glaze is a great way to revitalize highlights and improve hair texture. She explained the glaze is a treatment with grape seed oil derivate and emollients for the hair?s cuticle with a touch of color and shine.

I was impressed with Mayra?s knowledge of color chemistry, her mastery of technique and her artistic flair. When I saw my hair after Mayra was finished, I knew that Mayra had delivered on her promise, and the glaze was a great idea. I recommend Mayra to anyone who wants to look great over the Memorial Day holiday!

I was here yesterday and Challa did a fantastic job with my manicure and pedicure. Challa was very professional and my nails look great. She is also very friendly. I highly recommend Challa for your next manicure!

Was here earlier tonight,got a french manicure and french pedicure.I am really happy with the service challa give,not only is the place beatiful but the challa was nice and carefull.She really do a thorough job on the actual mani and pedi,hate when the nail tech just gets the polish nice but does a really quick job on everything before that.prices are really fair for what she did.Its worth checking them out

Have tried several places to get my waxing done but the only places that proved to be good were way too expensive.At work people were mentioning this place for threading for eyebrows so I gave them a shot.Place was really busy and a live music,people drinking wine sort of looked like a mini party,lol . They took care of me for brows and bikini wax and were really professional and pain free.For eyebrows,defenetly ask for threading but for body wax,make sure they use the chocolate wax its far less painful.Hard to say a bad thing about this place,they took me on time,did the service and the [price is extremely reasonable considering its the city.Keep up the good work.

Mayra has colored my hair since the Oleg Salon opened last year.
I happened to be walking by one day and Mayra was the colorist working in the window.
I noticed that she was impecably dressed and groomed. I could tell she had
a superb technique doing highlights.

The first time she did MY highlights, I felt like I'd been reunited with a birth mother.
It was the best color I ever had. I told her then and there, don't ever leave without telling me!
Mayra is the colorist that you find only once in a lifetime!

My highlights look so natural that no one even knows that my hair is colored.
Mayra consistently delivers a perfect job every time. On top of that,
my hair is never ever brittle or dry...it always feels and looks like silk.

In a town where women are accustomed to paying upwards of $600 for a full head of highlights,
it's certainly comforting to know that I can be camera-ready for much less.

I reccommend Mayra's highlights
to anyone who needs to look their best in a competitive town like New York City.

The Oleg Kaz Salon is one of the best and most charming in our area. Starting with Oleg -one of the owners/manager- and the team of stylists and colorists. A very friendly and interesting group of people coming from everywhere in the world, a small sample of what makes our City the greatest.
I have been loyal to my stylist -Ofelia- for many years now, and she has always been there for me, reliable and professional. That's how this salon - and my stylist in particular- is able to maintain a faithful clientele.
