Beauty & Wellness Day Spa

About 5 years ago I was introduced to this spa and I must say that the time & expertise that is put into skincare here is absolutely amazing. My skin was awful! After trying all the "chic" & commercial spas in NYC I was about to give up, but it was just about that time when this spa was recommended to me. I love the fact that its intimate, serene and sells all the right products for for my skin...This place is wonderful and I recommend it to everyone that is on the path of discovering the RIGHT treatments for skincare!

For the last several years, every other Saturday, is my massage day. The therapists are thorough and really know their stuff. I find the rate VERY reasonable for a professional treatment. BW takes the time to take care of the clients. If you can really appreciate good service, this is the place to be.
I am not convinced by others claims, maybe some people are in spas just for the fluff.

Ever since i started going to B & W, i get nothing but great compliments about my skin...and its true! My skin looks better now in my 30s than it did in my 20s!....the ladies are very professional and expert (no one in there is a newbie)!

I was very disappointed by my experience here. I booked a massage for spa week as a special treat for myself and wish I had gone elsewhere. The "spa" is in dire need of remodelling, it reminded me of my grandparents house. I was willing to overlook the outward appearance, convincing myself that it was really only the service that mattered, but then the massage was mediocre at best! My appointment began 15 minutes late yet ended on time, so I paid for 60 minutes but got 45. The therapist didn't even introduce himself. He asked me where my problem areas where but not what type of massage I wanted. No special attention was paid to my problem areas, which was the reason I booked the massage! There is no attempt to control noise either, during the whole appointment all could hear was the traffic on 40th street. This was a frustrating experience and a waste of money. Go somewhere else!

The staff/service is professional and experience. However, there IS sale pressure during my visit. The place is tiny but peaceful though it might need renovation in the near future. I like the white wallpaper but I felt it was at the hallway of my aunt annie's house. For the same price, I'd go to somewhere else.
