I can't believe that this place is in my own back yard!!! It's amazing! You have to check it out. It's perfect for children, yet get ready! You'll learn a lot as well.

FUN, FUN, FUN! I went here years ago and it was so much fun. If you have never been in a cavern you have to try this place out. They have regular tours, and then tours that are a little more intense for those that don't mind physical activity and getting dirty.

This is a wonderful place to go to get out of the house on a hot summer day. The temp inside is always very pleasant. With the recent addition of gem mining, my kids always look forward to going. Informative, historical geologic tours. The tourguides are knowledgable. Hugh parking lot located on the interstate highway. Be ready to do some walking as the tour takes a route that is about a mile long.

We recently stopped at Inner Space Cavern in Georgetown to take our boys on a tour underground. The tour guide was a bit silly but kept our children entertained. He gave his opinion on the formations and also filled us in with bits of history as well. The tour requires a bit of walking but it was not to much. I do think they need to lower their prices as I feel that it was kinda expensive for a family of 4 to go through the hour tour. Other then that it was very nice and interesting to see.

PROS:
CONS: expensive

The only warning I have is make sure you are prepared to walk a mile for the tour. Other than that, this is a GREAT outing for the whole family. The kids will learn a thing or two and it is a wholesome activity. Avoid the snackbar and souviener shop if you can and it is a GREAT value.

Inner Space Caverns is only 20 minutes away from Austin, and offers a look at our city from another level. They are right off the highway, with that blinking strobe light beakoning everyone to stop by. The ticket prices are a little steep, but the tour is very relaxing and great for young and old people, since there is no heavy climbing to be done. They turn all of the lights off on Halloween weekend to make it a spook house.

Inner Space Cavern is a short drive from Austin north on I 35 to Georgetown. The Cavern was large and easy to navigate with no small areas that you have to crawl through. My daughter's favorite thing about our visit was panning for gold she thought this was great. The prices are a little high but if you visit their web site they have coupons you can print to recieve a discount.

Inner Space Cavern is a total natural underground experience. It's between Round Rock and Georgetown right off the highway (you'll see the blinking lights). This cavern is much larger than Wonder Cave in San Marcos so there's no bumping your head through the tour. It's a history lesson for the whole family and I continue to go back and take out of towners and they enjoy it. Kids can pan for pretend gems/gold and the gift shop is stocked with natural souveniers of all kinds. There's a picnic area and play area for the kids and it's an awesome experience. The prices are competitive with other caverns in Texas and if you visit the website you can print some discount coupons that are good for up to 4 people.

PROS: Amazing, very cool underground, Natural History

Inner Space Caverns offers you a way to experience the inside of the earth, in a fun, exciting and safe way. The air is cold so it is a wonderful place to go in the summer heat. The trek through the extensive caverns is all on a smooth trail, so even wheelchair bound people can visit and enjoy the beauty of a natural Texas cave. I love inner space caverns and I am sure that you will love it too.

Inner Space Caverns is about 20 minutes north of Austin. If you visit their website, they offer coupons for discounts on tickets. They have a really neat cave tour, and also have a mining station to pan for gemstones. It is a great experience for the whole family. Be sure to visit the candle factory across the highway too!

On my recent travels I found a place just under I 35 called Inner Space Caverns. This is a natural underground cave that is still very much alive. Here you can see interesting rock formations, bats, frogs, incects and nice fossil findings. Kids yound and old will enjoy everything this caves has to offer and more. There are even more than just the regular tour groups, Inner Space offers an unique chance to explore the cave outside the normal tour path. You are exquiped with flashlights and protective gear and you can explore the caves and tunnels in a more up close and personal way. I do warn parents with small children to be catious. In some parts of the tour you experience cave darkness. The lights are turned off and it becomes very dark. Most children find this part fun and they do not leave the lights off for long. The staff was kind and very informative. If you are looking for an adventure like none other I suggest you make a stop at Inner Space Caverns.

PROS: Fun tours, kind staff, cool rock formations, cheap prices

Inner Space Caverns are a delightful trek on a hot day. Our guide was informative and entertaining throughout. A little pricey, but worth it.
