I felt compelled to write, to dispel the scathing reviews here. I go to Rolfs every January and always look forward to going back. Going on a weeknight has been comfortable and friendly. Although some would find the atmosphere kitschy

We trekked in the snow from Soho to see the restaurant.
We wanted dessert and coffee. The waitress Ali was livid that we weren't interested in ordering lunch. Our dessert and coffee came to 40.83, I guess not enough for her. The Black

Went here with 3 friends last weekend and will never return. Seems that the owners are just trading on the history of the place and counting on tourists coming to ogle the decorations. (Speaking of which, they are fancy but no longer

The atmosphere is absolutely adorable. Very cluttered, very Eurpoean. But, the food is pretty awful. Go for a drink instead.

I am a German who just moved to New York. To get good German food I went to Rolf German Restaurant, because I am living near by. I was so disappointed with the food AND the service.

The food did not came as it was promised, they served my rice instead potatoes without noticing me before and there was exactly NOTHING GERMAN about the food nor the service.

The menu looked promising but already doubtful, some of their dishes dont exist like that in Germany at all. Some you can find in a few locations in the South of Germany, but only there. I ordered a chicken with a paprika souse, vegetables and potatoes. I did not get any vegetables except 3 pepper stripes, nor did I get the potatoes, neither a paprika souse, I got a chicken swimming in fad which was spiced with pepper... and the chicken was way to dry and not tasteful at all.

And to the service: I have never gotten such a bad service neither in Europe nor here. The waiter was rude and he did not give us any change, after we were visibly disappointed with our dinner he just pretended we would give him a 40% tip and when we ask for change he got really angry and we needed to explain to him, why we want change and why we did not give him less money. The thought that we did not have a smaller bill did not made any sense to him.

I will just suggest everyone NOT TO GO THERE, my husband and I really had a terrible night there.

I second all the bum reviews lately. Fun decor, but just go for a drink, take a picture, and move on to somewhere else for dinner. The service is appalling, which has apparently been the case for a long time. Management should take a hint and step up the service level requirements. Ridiculous.

The meal I had yesterday at Rolf Germain Restaurant was one of the worst I had in years.
The vegetable consumme was too salty; The vegies looked like the chef used a bag frozen peas, carrots and potato cubes. The loin of pork was dry and tasted as if had been in the refrig for a few days. The potato pancake was heavy and tasted like it came from a mix. All in all a horrible meal.

The place is very tired and dirty. The sink in the bathroom was a disgrace.

I was compelled to write, given the trashy reviews of the service.
The short: the place looks amazingly like the interior of an ornament, the sausage is excellent, and the drinks reasonably priced. The bar is frequented by locals who chat amiably in an area that is a bit cozy (which can be both good and bad).

The long: if you want or expect a waitstaff who will smile at you and bow to you, you'll not find it here. However, the service was impeccable, well timed and professional. Friendly? Well, no. But they weren't hostile either - just stoic.
I find this to be the case in many restaurants in Europe, and this IS a German restaurant, so it might be encouraging to look at it as an authentic experience.
If you want sugar and spice, make your way to Disney World and eat at the Magic Kingdom; I hear their frozen burgers are de-LISH.

I stopped by Rolf's last Saturday night for drinks with a friend. The decor is wonderfully over the top but we left after one drink (at a table) because the service was downright hostile. We'll never go back.

Extremely rude waitstaff and manager/host. Rushed us through the meal. We had reservations but they actually had the nerve to ask us to leave before we had even finished our meal/drinks. They said they were really busy and needed the table. Bathrooms are filthy and not stocked. When meals average $25 per dinner not including drinks, you should be able to enjoy them and finish them and not be rushed out! We were at the table less than an hour when they started to ask us to leave.

Save your money and just take pictures from the window!

Rolf's restaurant used to be one of those gateway places in the city. We'd always come back during holiday time, as Rolf's would transform into a magical fantasy world; Tons of decorations, great food, fun personnel...... NOT THIS TIME! Well, the place look well prep'd with decorations-the remains of good ole' Rolf's...what a hoax. We placed a reservation a week an advance, usually it takes a month, and arrived to celebrate valentine's day to find out the place didn't seem as busy and happy as it used to. It didn't even seem that the reservation was necessary to squeeze in the almost empty restaurant. We ordered the usual "good stuff"....But, we received BURNT potato pancakes, RAW lamb chops, instead of medium rare, topped with long wait, non existent service (the host was reading a newspaper throughout the whole time we were there). We left Rolf's hungry. I guess Indians, the prime personnel of the place, are not well suited to cook and serve German food.

Used to love it. Not anymore. This place has seriously gone down hill. I hope the owners realize soon that you can't thrive on fun decor alone. Where has all the charm gone, and the good food? I don't plan to go back any time soon. Wish I could say otherwise because Rolf's has been a tradition since I moved here 8 yrs ago.

Don't bother.

For years this place had very good German food and a pretty good waitstaff and bartenders. The last two years it has gone downhill on food, serve and bar to the point that we will never return unless it has an ownership change. very little real German left about the place.

I went to Rolf's recently with a date.. it was a great idea on his behalf. I LOVE the holidays.. The decor was great, but other than that, I can't say it was money well spent. I had the beef goulash.. it was just not good. For an $18 dish, even in NYC, I expected at least something decent. The waiter was not attentive, and we waited over an hour for our meals to come out. On a place that banks on holiday spirit, I would have thought the service would be a little more upbeat, instead of seeming stressed out and ready for the evening to end! My date actually apologized at the end of the evening for a mediocre dinner.. no harm done.. the beer was good, and I was plenty happy despite the meal. Def don't plan to go back though..

If you're a vegetarian, you definitely should not eat here. Being a german restaurant, meat dominates everything. the interior is pretty gaudy but the lights outside are pretty. The portions are quite large.

I have already been to Rolf's twice this year (both times since Thanksgiving). Each time, I had a Saturday afternoon reservation. On both occasions, I took along friends who have lived in NYC for years but had never been to Rolf's. Each set of friends loved the food, the service and the atmosphere. In particular, there was no waiting to be seated for my first reservation and only a brief wait the second. Each time the food was delicious (including dessert) and the service was excellent: quick and unobtrusive. We were definitely not rushed at all during what was on both occasions a very leisurely meal. I felt so grateful (and somewhat guilty) that we weren't rushed that I left an extra $10 on the table in addition to my regular tip. Of course, the Christmas atmosphere is simply splendid. The whole experience was wonderful. If you've never been to Rolf's before, don't let the cranky reviews stop you. Try to make a reservation for a Saturday afternoon and enjoy a great Chrismas experience.

I have been going to Rolf's every holiday season for years now and I will tell you of my experiences and impressions:
- Service can be slow without a doubt
- Place is cramped and crowded
- Food is so-so
- Staff can be somewhat overwhelmed and therefore seemingly unhospitable to an extent

HOWEVER....

The decorations are absolutely unbelievable and this alone makes all the negative aspects I and others have mentioned tolerable. If you demand services that typical upscale restaurants offer....don't go here. If you want to revel in the spectacular decor and kick off the holiday season on an inspirational note....then by all means. I'm going again tonight and can't wait....just unbelievable. I'm anticipating a wait past my reservation time so you will see me at the bar wholeheartedly enjoying a nice German brew.
Happy Holidays!

We stood in the cold doorway waiting-the bar was crowded-there was no where to wait.Food just adequate-nothing to rave about. There is no coat check so you have to hold your coat. The place has so many tables crowded together, you cant even place your coat on the back of the chair-it didnt fit! We folded our big heavy coats on our lap and ate over them.By the time we left, the one toilet in the ladies room at backed up....NEVER AGAIN....

Rolf's is a joke! The staff is rude. They spend the whole time pushing you to buy more alcohol. You are squashed in on top of eachother praying there is not a fire because there is no way you would be able to get out. The philistine host asks you to LEAVE while you are still drinking you coffee?!? IF YOU DON'T WANT CUSTOMERS TO DRINK COFFEE HERE DONT SERVE IT AND TELL THEM TO GO TO STARBUCKS!

DONT BELIEVE THE FAKE REVIEWS! Look at the glowing reviews with 5 stars by a person with NO OTHER REVIEWS! It is obviously the staff or owner of Rolfs trying to bolster their rating because real people know the truth! All they care about is making more money by pushing the most expensive item on the menu (alcohol), while serving mediocre food, shoving as many tables as possible into the most cramped environment possible, and all with HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE.

My wife and I have been going to Rolf"s for over 10 years. I doubt I will ever return. The menu has eliminated some of my favorite dishes. Gone is the veal goulash as well as the boiled beef. What remains is a poor representation of German fare. The potato pancake appetizer was as tasteless as it was overcooked. My wife's Sauerbraten used to come with a potato dupling but no more. My loin of pork was tasteless, dry and was reheated in a microwave. My local diner has a weekly special of Loin of Pork for 9.95 that puts their dish to shame. Rollf's was always a local favorite but has become a tourist attraction with patrons shooting pictures throughout their meals. Perhaps the owners will get the message that pretty Christmas decorations are a poor substitute for bad food.

I am a holiday fanatic. I took two visiting friends to Rolf's last night, and although in the past I've had an ok experience, the quality has gone down this year. It wasn't the worst night of my life or anything, and our experience wasn't as bad as some of the other reviews below, but it is obviously run by someone different and just feels now like a tourist trap conveyor belt. The decorations are pretty cool. Pretty unique, and reminded me of holiday fairs in Germany. But I probably wouldn't go back for a while.

Getting down to the nuts and bolts: the food was mediocre. Kinda like kraft mac and cheese.. you can eat it and it's decent, but would be a little bummed if you paid $20 for it!! They clearly have a problem with overbooking their tables. We, like everyone else, had to wait 25 min for a table that we'd reserved a week in advance. The food took a while.. and was probably just microwaved. The service was fine. No one asked if we wanted dessert, and they asked if we needed anything else or if we could go ahead and take care of the bill! Haven't been rushed like that before at a restaurant. The diff German beer options were pretty decent. One of my friends is a bit larger and actually had to ask someone to get up so they could get through.. it's that jam packed.

All in all. Rolf's is ok, but has lost a bit of its magic. If the mgmt would just focus a little more on customer service instead of making a few extra bucks, maybe they'll get it back.

Oh my God! I have never experienced a more festive holiday restaurant. There is no place outside of Radio City or Rockefeller Center where the spirit of Christmas is celebrated as much as Rolf's. When you walk in you are completely submerged in the Christmas Spirit. It's so cute. Although very small, it's part of the charm.
I can understand why some people get a little impatient but hey, if you go there knowing they have minimal seating capacity and offer a sensational ambience that you don't find anywhere else then just relax and enjoy the thrill. We were a party of five and made a reservation for 7:30. OK so we waited 15 minutes for a table...no big deal. we had a drink at the bar and forgot the time. When we were seated we had such a wonderful waitress (Terri) who made us feel at ease from all the excitement going on around us. She was very helpful in explaining all the various dishes. We didn't have to wait all that long as some people here were crying about. Maybe it was because we were in such good company that we really didn't clock the kitchen. We shared as an appetizer the sausage platter which was four different types of sausages. I think a Bratwurst, weisswurst, knockwurst and a smoked sausage. It was delicious. I had the Roasted duck which was a huge portion. It was nice and crispy but too generous to finish. My coworker tried the Roasted Goose. I mean, where can you find Goose? Worked out well for the Holiday spirit. First time I ever tried Goose and must say it was terrific! Schnitzels were great as well as the Rainbow trout. I mean, lets give credit where credit is due. I guess sometimes you can't please everyone from what I read below. I guess you just have to wander in there and see for yourself. Our party was certainly happy. We decided to have our after dinner drinks at the bar because it was very busy but hey, your still in the same fabulous place with (in my case) great fun friends. Can't wait to go back!

I used to love Rolf's and was thrilled to tell anyone and everyone about the magical little German restaurant with fastive decor and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I don't know what changed, but it has slid down beyond recognition.

I went recently with my boyfriend and was disappointed at how embarrassingly uncomfortable the evening was. After an hour of waiting for a table (WE WERE ON TIME FOR OUR RESERVATION), we were finally seated. We ordered drinks and food quickly - drinks were prompt, but the food took over an hour to come out, AND IT WAS COLD. The sausages were not far off from cheap packaged hot dogs, and the stew was bland. Worst of all, before we could even order the dessert, the host asked us how soon we'd be able to clear the table. I hear that this is standard for the course these days at Rolf's (per recent reviews), and we were none too happy to be asked to leave after waiting an hour for our cold food..

It seems to me that the glowing 5 star reviews for this restaurant are all written by name#### formatted usrs who have never reviewed another restaurant, and I would venture to guess that these have been posted by Rolf's employees or owners to boster otherwise lacking reviews.

Bottom line - rude service, blah food.. not worth the exorbitant costs, long waits, and uncomfortably tight quarters. If you want holiday spirit, you can hop over to the Rock Center Cafe and pay for overpriced but much tastier food in a festive atmosphere with good service and ice rink views.

Happy eating! (But not at Rolf's!)

Pros: Festive atmostphere would be nice if everyone wasn't unfomfortably on top of each other.

Cons: Service, Rude Host, Bland Food, Long Wait

.

My wife and I invited out-of-town guests to this restaurant, based on the city search rating.
Summing up, we ended up feeling humiliated, embarrassed, and angry.

Service :
Even with a reservation, we waited for 30 minutes before being seated. Then within 15 minutes of completing our dinner, the host came to our table, and asked how long it would be before we were finished! I can honestly say that in many years of dining in New York, I cannot remember such rude, low-class behavior on the part of a host. One can only assume that the restaurant is seriously over-booking.

Spirits:
The wine selection was minimal, with one German wine! (and that was a Riesling!) The beer selection had more breadth, with 5 on draft, and 5 bottled brews. Not impressive.

Food:
The stew was merely satisfactory. The broth was virtually tasteless, the spaetzel was too heavy, but the beef was tender. Our guests claimed that the sausages were delicious, but I suspect they were trying to bolster my spirits as the dining experience went from mediocre to pathetic.

Dessert
Don't bother. Nothing unusual or unique. Chocolate cake???

Ambiance
I was delighted with the decor, from the moment we arrived. The ceiling was a sea of garland, beautifully decorated with every sort of ornament. The decor was unfortunately completely overshadowed by the cramped table placement. In order to get to the restroom, one had to bother other diners to 'scoot-in' so that you could pass between them.
Another example of trying to squeeze more revenue from a dying tourist trap.

So I went to Rolf's for my sister's birthday and when you walk in you are overwhelmed by the tonnage of garland, ornaments and twinkly lights. If you like Christmas bazaars you will like the decorations- if not you will feel like santa fungus began growing on the ceiling. I don't know how they pass fire code.

We arrived for our reservation and were told the table reserved for us had "unexpectedly" ordered desserts so it was going to be a 20 minute wait (annoying.. but we smiled, crammed into a corner and made small talk about the neat decor). We finally got seated and spent a few minutes perusing the menu (which is full of many German names for the food items without descriptions so if you haven't studied up on your shnitzels lately its a bit interesting choosing what to order).

The drinks came out quickly but it took nearly an HOUR to get our meal. Honestly, being my sisters birthday we were chatting away and enjoying ourselves so normally I would have just let this slide. But the dreadfully rude host comes up to our table after we had just been served coffee and starts pressuring us to leave!?! My dear father is on his one vacation of the year, here celebrating my sisters birthday, and it was such an embarrassment for this poor display of pressure ... Not because we were just sitting around an hour after our meal holding this table, I could have understood that, but when we were not even done yet! The waitress had just asked if we wanted dessert or coffee- we got coffee but no desert (the portions are huge!). Our cups of coffee were still hot and half full. Being asked to leave a restaurant when you have done nothing wrong sure puts a damper on your evening- I sure don't like it and I doubt you do either.

I felt bad for the group who was waiting otherwise I would have luxuriated over my coffee. OVERBOOKING RESERVATIONS THEN RUSHING GUESTS OUT THE DOOR IS JUST RUDE. We left within a few minutes and we will never be back.

Pros: food was ok if you know enough german to read the menu, the crazy decorations are fun for the first few minutes

Cons: looong wait for food, ASK YOU TO LEAVE WHILE STILL EATING, wait even with reservations

If this place does not kickstart the holidays I don't know what will. Walked into this fancy fairytale of a gem yesterday and was overwhelmed with the love that was put into the Christmas spirit. The energy was so powerful that we stayed for several hours just sucking up the happiness. Everywhere we looked was something newly discovered whether it be antique crystal or old fashioned victorian dolls and thousands of lights. We sat at the bar and had this delicious mulled red wine that was served warm with a cinnamon stick. It all just went together so nicely. Definately will be going back to have dinner so made a reservation as I was told it gets very busy. I can see why.

Go after Thanksgiving and eat the schnitzel and spaetzel becaus it's Rolf's at Christmas time.
Food has seriously gone way down hill since it became a "French Bavarian Brasserie" last year but you
go there because its Rolf's at Christmas time.
Though the food is no longer very good, and the prices too high for that food, and the dining area soooo hot from all the lights, and the place unbelieavably crowded nearly every day of the week - you should still Go. Note: You literally cannot move from 5-9 most nights during the holiday season now that its gotten into the tourist hotel guide books, go early or late lunch.
Go because those holiday decorations are beyond description - nary an empty spot on wall or ceiling without some kitschy (in a good way) Christmas decoration. The place will still get you in a holiday mood and that's why you go to Rolf's at Christmas time. Who needs Rockefeller Centers tree?

We were a group of six for an after office gathering. Little did I realize how beautiful the decor was dressed in Autumn leaves! How appropriate for the season. I felt as though we were sitting in the midst of a forest.
My friends had been here on numerous occasions and were raving about this place. I finally understand why. Aside from being with my dear friends the atmosphere sure made me feel so warm and cozy and relaxed. We all had tall half litre glasses of a beer called Weissbeer which was a first for me. I was told it was a wheat processed beer without barley or hops...hum different. and they served it with a lemon. Very refreshing. Since the weather is becoming cooler we opted for some of the heavier dishes such as Sauerbraten, Jaeger Schnitzel, sausages, potatoe pancakes but I noticed they also had some lighter fish dishes such as salmon and trout. Will give that a try next time. Anyway, needless to say we all enjoyed very much. We lingered a bit at the end cause we all wanted to try their many offerings of flavored schnapps and dessert. Go for the apple strudel...it's freshly made there and served warm. yum
We were all very happy and will be back for Christmas. The waiter showed us pictures and couldn't believe my eyes as they take all the Fall leaves down and it becomes this Winter wonderland.

My office recently transferred to the Gramercy Park area and held a luncheon here the other day. What a great find in knowing that we will make this our future "hangout" for after work social life. Loved the atmosphere which they change with the seasons. They are now decorated with colorful Autumn leaves which started their Oktoberfest. Can't wait to see their Christmas decorations which I understand are over the top. The food is very good. It's what you would consider comfort food especially on a cool Autum evening.

Have been coming here for years and must say the food is always consistent. A very romantic spot. In fact my wife and I just celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary so it has great sentimental value.

What a wonderful cozy little restaurant and a nice find!
Had the pleasure of dining here the other day and was truely happy with my experience. To begin with the decor was so wonderfully put together with white birch trees surrounding the overhead. I felt as though I was in the midst of a forest. It made my experience so relaxing. I decided to order the pre-fixe lunch which was a great deal for $19.95. They offered a drink (so I had a beer), an appetizer of French Onion Soup and the Sauerbraten as a main course. It was marinated just right with the ginger snaps and various other spices. It was much better than what I had in Germany and believe me I've been to many places in Germany to know what Sauerbraten should taste like. Instead of desert I had a german Schnapps (Kirschwasser) which finished it off just perfect.
The staff was so attentive and polite which is hard to find in New York. Definately a must and will return. I understand their Christmas decor is over the top. Will definately go back to see it!

Took my family here last Saturday and had a most enjoyable evening.
Were a party of seven and was given a great table in the back. A cozy corner. The atmosphere was so warm and family style oriented. We had a nice tasting of their German offerings and were completely satisfied. Highly recommend it! Will be back

Not too often can one find a cute, little well established restaurant that really matter. My boyfriend and I had heard so much about this place that we decided to give it a try. I am from Bavaria so I know when the food is authentic. This place by far has to come close to what my grandmother has cooked in our household many years ago. Sadly she has passed on and could never quite get that taste that reminded me of her and my hometown of Munich. That is until I discovered this restaurant. And don't let anybody tell you otherwise! Just starting with the beautiful rustic decor that gives you so much comfort. It is layed back and unpretentuous. Nothing fancy but the tastes of their German dishes are wonderful..I must say.
Nice variety of imported German beers and schnapps go great with everything. I'm so happy to have found and experienced this place. They just found a steady customer.

Must have been an offnight experience for the previous writers. Quite the contrary for my family and friends. We made a reservation for a party of 10 as it was my fathers 80th birthday. We were given a great table in the back area and was greeted with a friendly waiter. We decided (since my dad is from Germany) to ordr an array of various German dishes. Sauerbraten, Wienerschnitzel, Loin of Pork,Choucroutte, etc. It was presented nicely and the portions were generous. We asked about the method in which the sauerbraten was prepared and they told us that it was marinated for 3 days which is the way in which true Sauerbraten should be. The Wienerschnitzel is a standard there and is always great. My father remarked how it reminded him of Germany and how difficult it is in New York to duplicate what he had that night at Rolf's.
The atmosphere is a setting straight out of the Black Forest with a garde-like feel. We were told that they change the decor with the seasons. This was their Summer motif. Looking forward to going back when they will have Oktoberfest and Christmas as they always do a fabulous job.

I was really looking forward to revisiting Rolf's for some good German food since I haven't been there in a few years.

What a disappointment!!

The sauerbraten is unrecognizable. The meat was tough - hard to do if you make sauerbraten the way it should be made, the gravy was gray. I sent it back - something I have never done before in any restaurant.

My husband's choucroute was bland. Choucroute should be cooked all together, giving the sauerkraut a real taste. The ham, the sausages and the sauerkraut had never met each other until put on the plate.

I had the most bizarre and worst service in a restaurant ever!

Had dinner earlier tonight at Rolf's (friday, 05/23/08). While having my meal, the waitress approached and asked "are you done, sir?" when it was so obvious I was still eating with a fork on my hand. several minutes later, the busboy approached and asked the same question. I asked back: "Don't you see I'm still eating?". He said "well, sir, you have your back to us so we could not see". so I said, "why didn't you look first before you asked?". So I said, "Fine, I'm done, give me my check". But before paying I asked for the manager to complain my experience.
I told the manager that the restaurant was hardly full (only like 3 or 4 tables of diners, beside myself eating alone, and evidently no customers waiting for a table) and it's far from quitting time (it was not even 9 pm) so why was I being rushed to go out? I told the manager that his staff need some training on how to treat the customers.
A couple of minutes later, still with the bill on her hand, the waitress demanded why I was complaining and then started crying. The manager told the waitress, named Sasha (?) to stop but she kept on crying and asking. She followed even after I left the table and went to the cashier.
I ran out from that restaurant as fast as I can. And for the first time in my life, I actually put a big "zero" in the tip portion of the check. OMG, they have a copy of my credit card!!
Star rating? 2 stars for food, minus 2 stars for service! a big fat zero overall!

Just moved to the neighboorhood and had passed by this restaurant several times and decided to give it a try.
They offered a Pre-Fixe luncheon for $19.95 which consisted of a drink, appetizer and main course. What a bargain!!!! I decided on a glass of beer, French onion soup and the Rainbow Trout in court bouillon. (I have had rainbow trout in other places but their version was by far the best I ever had!) Along with the rustic charming atmosphere and the attentiveness of the waiter I certainly will be back along with my friends.
THANK YOU ROLF"S!!!!!!!!

I have been to Rolf's multiple times over the years and have always enjoyed myself. It can get crowded during peak hours but there is no dining experience like it in the city. They just changed their menu to include a wider range of entrees and was nervous that they had changed a good thing but was happy with what I got as was everyone else at the table. Rolf's does it's best to handle the high volume from my experiences there.

Rolf's is justifiably known as a beautiful spot to soak up the Christmas feeling.
Two of us ate there last evening, and got food not worthy of a diner, at prices
which left us gasping. Particularly galling were the $9 draft beers, and any other
items conspicuously absent from the menu (i.e. no tip-off as to their prices in
advance). The main courses were very disappointing, not well flavored or prepared,
not even particularly hot. (a calamari stew with no flavor to recommend it, a breaded
chicken cutlet with potatoes barely warm). Rolf's used to have good food at reasonable
prices. This is a shame.

Last week,Rachel Ray featured Rolf's German Restaurant on 2 of her shows (10-2007.) She named it as her favorite in NYC for the "extraordinary decorations that change with the seasons & the Yummo food."

So, I went to Rolf's for dinner last week with my close friend who is also from Germany & my daughter. We walked into the most colorful, beautiful, cozy restaurant you can imagine. It feels like you are sitting in a forest in autumn. Our waitress, Elizabeth, is adorable, friendly, charming, helpful and has a great sense of humor. She even speaks German.

We had the Sausage Platter, Potatoe Pancakes, Yeagerschnitzel & the Loin of Pork. We also had a few Biers and the Apple Struedel for dessert. Everything was sehr gut!

If you want a unique dining experience in NYC, Rolf's is the place to go. Bring your appetite & your camera! Danke Schon Rolf's!

Aufwiedersehen!!!

Some friends and I recently wandered in for a couple of beers but found ourselves staying for dinner and then after dinner drinks. We really enjoyed the decor and friendly staff. We were obviously not the only fans as we met several regulars who were helpful in making dinner and drink selections. I would highly recommend this spot to you and yours.
