This is one of my favorite spots in Atlanta. If you haven't tried the fried jalapeno Pickles then you are missing out!!! My favorite dish so far is the El Diablo Fajitas. They serve it to you in the traditional black iron skillet and it's always a fantastic meal for me!

The service has always been very good for me, and so far I haven't run into any problems. The bartender, Christine, always takes really good care of me.

What I like most about this joint is the foosball table! Whenever your drinking there's nothing quite like an exciting game of foosball. This of course brings me to my one complaint and that would be the lack of space in here. It can get very crowded in here, but they do have a lot of HD tv's here so a lot of ppl will be there watching the game.

All in all a great place to drink or watch the game and get great finger food or meals!

Next to El Azteca this place is another one of my favorite Mexican spots in Midtown ATL. The place has a "Texas" feel to it with plenty of HD TV's, arcade games, and a FOOSBALL TABLE!!!!

anywho....I've never had a problem here except for maybe feeling cramped sometimes when it's busy. Parking can be a pain, but they just finished building a parking lot which i tried out the other day :)

The food is always really good especially their Fried Jalapeno Pickles which everyone needs to try! Service is always friendly and very helpful. Twisted Taco I am a fan!

I have been to the Twisted Taco in Roswell and have loved it. Great food, great atmosphere, great service, pretty much have never had any complaints. So today for lunch some coworkers and I decided to go to Twisted Taco in Midtown for lunch. This location is much smaller than the Roswell or Kennesaw location but has a great city feel to it! We were seated in this back room. It felt awkward sitting here because there were only 3 tables bunched together next to some arcade games. I honestly could have turned and started a conversation with the table right next to us. Our waitress must have been serving the whole restaurant because she was very busy; always running around and making quick orders which made me feel extremely rushed. We ordered some chips and salsa for the table (which you have to pay for... it isnt complementary like other restaurants) but it was a combination plate of 3 different salsas and chips and was pretty good. I then ordered some queso dip for myself but when it came it was soo cold. Seriously it was so cold I wondered how the cheese could still be a liquid! So I asked if they could heat it up. When it came back it was scolding hot and bubbling. Well I guess I got what I asked for, but it would have been nice if they could have found a medium in between the two temperatures. I personally ordered for my meal a regular chicken and cheese taco with NOTHING else on it. That's it! You would think that would be simple. When it came it was cheese and chicken and this spicy sauce that they drenched the taco in. It was gross, and I barely ate any of it. I didn't even take a picture of it because it looked like taco soup because there was so much spicy sauce. My coworkers meal looked really good so I took a picture of his. It looks like they give a pretty generous portion of guacamole and sour cream with the salad. He said that salad had way too much dressing on it but was wonderful and would definitely order it again. We arrived at Twisted Taco at 12:30 for lunch and didn't pay our check till 1:45. The food took FOREVER to make. I would have thought being located in the center of a city they would have a faster lunch for business people (like me) who only have a certain amount of time to eat. But no, our meal took one hour and 15 minutes! I'm hoping that my experience with Twisted Taco in Midtown was just a coincedence and that this really doesn't happen to everyone that comes through their door!

Over-priced, over-crowded, just not worth it. The staff is rude and it takes forever to get a drink. Once you get the drink, you need to sell your kidney to pay your tab.

My friends are from Winder, Georgia. They wanted to go to a bar in Atlanta so I decided to take them to Twisted Taco. I had never been there before and had always wanted to try it out.

We went out on a Friday night and the guys with us had to pay an entrance fee on top of the parking fee! What kind of bull crap is that? We ordered drinks which took 5874510 hours to just place the order. The bartender was an ITCH. When I asked her for a recommedation, she gave me a huge attitude. I ordered 2 Long Islands which were EXTREMELY over priced for the amount that I got. I had nothing but ice in my drink. Couldn't taste any alcohol...only coke! So basically I paid $10 for a cup of water-down, too much ice coca cola! Waste of time and money!

I will not be returning back to this bar again!

Good luck getting a table in the evenings at TT, but that's only because its so popular with the midtown locals. They have great drinks specials and a great staff and it's within walking distance to a few of the "it" clubs.

My friends and I had a great time here last weekend. The music was great and so was the crowd. One thing that kind of freaked us out though was the older male bartender that was working upstairs on Saturday. He was fine at first, but as the night went on and after I saw him take a few shots he started hitting on my friend (a male) and being really aggressive, telling him what he wanted to do to him, etc (we are all straight) which was a little awkward, but we still managed to have a great time. I just hope the floor never caves in up there.

Twisted Taco is one of my favorite spots in Atlanta. I have been there to eat, drink, dance and to meet guys! This is truly a great establishment and services many purposes. It will always be one of my favorite places to meet good looking, single men in their late 20's early 30's.

...I won't go back. I thought I'd have a margarita in my neighborhood on Cinco de Mayo. I read the reviews here and decided to try Twisted Taco anyway. I ordered a margarita off their menu, and it came in a 6 oz. plastic dixie cup (no salt, either). When I placed my lunch order, I asked the server if they always serve their drinks in plastic. Apparently just half of last week and this weekend because of Cinco de Mayo (?). She did take my drink away and bring it back in a pint glass...no extra tequila...just more s & s mix...with some attitude on the side. Burrito was fine, but nothing to rave about.
If you are looking for fraternity-house atmosphere in a place that's trying (and failing) to mimick Coyote Ugly's style, you will find what you are looking for here. If you are looking for good Tex-Mex and margaritas made by people who know what they're doing, look elsewhere. Great for 18-23 crowd.

Twisted Taco in Midtown is the WORST BAR IN ATLANTA. The staff is rude, and they need to learn how to treat their customers. I will NEVER return to this bar, and I plan to tell EVERYONE I know not to go too! Only go if you want to have a TERRIBLE time! The food is nasty and the bartenders do not pay attention to their customers. I guess you can't totally blame the bartenders because the problem obviously stems from management (they are the WORST!), so maybe the bartenders don't know any better! There are so many other places to get a taco (try Taco Bell....it's better) or to get a beer (even Wal Mart sells beer)...so don't waste your time by going to this cr@p hole. Or better yet, go around the corner to Opera and take your chances of getting shot.

This is by far the worst place to go in Atlanta. A friend of mines birthday was going on so we all decided to go and she thought it would be fun. The food was horrible, we found two long brown hairs in our food! Gross! Then when we paid they over charged us. Our waitress had long brown hair and was so rude, along with the rest of the staff. We were planning on staying longer, but it was such a horrible experience that my friend topped it as one of the worst birthday outings ever. I've been to several places in Atlanta and never had as many rude waitresses as this place, and the owner even worse!

I am only going to talk about the Tuesday night comedy show (upstairs) at the Twisted Taco.
For the last 4 weeks I have gladly driven all the way from Gwinett County to see an average of 9 different professional stand-up comedians per show. Each week that I have gone, there have a variety of different comics, and never the same jokes twice. I have never been disappointed. For only 7 bucks, you can see a live show with hot new comedians, as well as famous vetrans of the industry that perform on HBO's Def Comedy Jam, Comedy Central, and many other shows that come on TV! ---UNBELIEVEABLE VALUE!!!
- This is a GREAT place to take a date, but only if you do the following: I recommend reserving a table for the show. I also recommend eating elsewhere before coming, simply because the service definitely has room for improvement, (20% added gratuity gives the wait staff NO incentives to excel) and the upstairs is too small and crowded to accomodate the new-found popularity of the show. These are the only drawbacks that I see.
I am still shocked that these famous comedians choose to perform in such a small place, but am extremely grateful that they do! Right now it all seems too good to be true, so I am thinking that you should check it out before ticket prices go up.

This is the WORST place I have ever been! The food and service are horrible, and the staff has a very bad attitude. I agree with the previous reviewer that it would be more fun to sit in a dark corner by myself. DON'T GO! There are plenty of other establishments in town with better food and class. This place is not worthy of patronage by ANYONE!

I've been to Twisted Taco a handful of times with friends and had a great experience each time. The menu is amazing - you can get so many different types of tacos that there is something for everyone. The salsa is unbelievably fresh and out of this world! The beer list is very long and there are so many different types of margaritas that it's hard to decide which to order, but every one I've had (so far!) has been excellent-one of the other reviews made it sound like they skimp on the alcohol - not so in our case! There was an issue with the service once, but it turns out that she was new so it was understandable. Twisted has become one of my favorite places to go when I'm in the area.

This is a fun place to hang out on weekends - but be warned, they get packed later at night, especially when a big sporting event is being televised. My friend likes to go there on weekends for karaoke. I don't normally do that sort of thing, but I've done it twice here, because the crowd is just doing it for fun. Most places in town with karaoke are packed with people who are "serious" about it - despite their talent. At Twisted Taco, anyone can go up, have fun, and get a good reaction - singing talent is not required. Don't be shy about it in this place! The food here is good, drinks are reasonably priced, and service is great.

I love Twisted Taco. First of all, the food is excellent and what a great value! I don't think you can eat anywhere in Midtown for the price and the food is really good. I usually hang out here on the weekends and it can be a little annoying becuase it so so PACKED and the line can be long sometimes, but you are always guaranteed to have a great time so it is worth it. Plus there are always good lookng people!

I've given this place two chances because I've been a server and I know how stressful it can be. My recommendation is to NEVER go during lunchtime unless you have a solid hour and a half to kill. The service was terrible both times I was there. The second (and last time) I went I was with a co-worker and the server actually brought our food out in the same basket-unbelievable! On top of putting our food together she didn't even tell us, but simply put it on the table and walked off. I've heard its much better at night so I may give the alcohol a try but I will never go back to eat. The rice was bland and the taco had hardly any meat and cheese in it! Not worth my time or money, there are many better Mexican restaurants in Atlanta.

After a night of extremely weak drinks at the upstairs bar, we talked to a manager that was incredibley condescending and rude. After a heated discussion where he was disrespectful in which he told us he really didn't care if we ever came back, he finally ended up apologizing. Very immature and definitely not ruled by "the customer is always right" policy. I know that we will never go back. $160 for drinks that left no buzz and nachos were definitely served up with a side of obnoxious manager that left a lot to be desired. If you want bang for your buck, this is not the place to go.

Okay, it's hard to mess up Mexican food, but it's VERY hard to make Mexican food that was that good!
My date and I heard about this place from the guys over at Whole World, and we were starving (dinner was a disaster... don't go to Sal Grosso). The tacos were something else! I had a couple with mangos in there (never seen mangos in a taco before). They also had a beer selection with a bunch of stuff I had never seen before (Flying Dog... nice choice), although we did have to wait a while to flag down the waitress to get it.
But if you are in a hurry, this isn't the place for you. If you are ready to hang out for a while, then this is the right place!

The service at this restaurant is like night and day.. Durring lunch time the staff is slooooooow and unqualified. It takes way over an hour to finish. The management is nonexistant. I've stopped going for lunch. Apparently they don't care, cause at night they do all the business... It gets bumpin and the trained staff arrives. The service is much better in the evenings.. the food is ah-ight.. you pretty much have to be a complete spaz to mess up mexican food. beans, cheese, meat, salsa and fixins... That's 'bout it... anyway it's whatever... C/C-

That's 'bout it... anyway it's whatever... C/C-

Pros: Beer, hot chicks

Cons: day service sucks

I haven't had the food here, but it's nice to see a bar like this pop up in Midtown. It's like any other Buckhead bar with 100% less thugs and drive-bys. Lots of outdoor seating on several different levels and usually a lot of attractive women. Can't dance ... go to Twisted Taco.

While certainly not haute cuisine, this place is a good happy hour joint and is great for groups. The service was great, the food decent, the drinks decent. In midtown, it's the only place you can kick back and relax sans trance music and head-to-toe black. Also a good place to watch a game.

Best spot in Midtown for Happy Hour, get there early it fills up fast. I don't eat there often, but the food I have had was good. Lots of good looking people having a good time. Took much of Frontpage News' Happy Hour crowd. Always good tunes as well!

I went with a big group for appetizers and drinks. The food was okay and drinks were moderately priced, but the service was horrible. We sat upstairs, and unfortunately the only bar in the place is downstairs, so even getting just a bucket of bottled beers took FOREVER. Our server seemed confused with her job and the manager was incredibly rude.

I went with a group of college friends last week, and it was an awesome experience. The nachos were much more than I could handle, and they had 99c tacos and cheap buckets of beer. The atmospher were relaxing and fun. A good place for a casual date or a group of friends.

Finally, a Houston TX type ice house with open windows that open up to the patio. And you can walk to it from many places in midtown. They even put sports on the TV without having an attitude like Gordon Birsch! Great service, cheap and decent tacos, and a laid back crowd. Perfect for a lazy Saturday afternoon.
