This is by far the BEST place to get a little taste of Brasil's food and drinks. The samba dancers are wonderful and beautiful! Gauchos's energy/vibe has always been fantastic and every single person there treats you like family!

I have been going to this place for many years and Kevin, the owner, has always made me and my family feel special. The bartenders Soraia and Karina always take special care of me after my dinner at the bar. Mouth watering DELICIOUS drinks! I recommend the Caiperinha and Batida de Coco! Amazing!!!

The Gauchos are constantly rotating every meat they have and the servers are just as nice and at times become the entertainment themselves. It really is a Very fun place!!

The critic "AgoodCritic" obviously wasn't paying close attention when the servers, gauchos, managers and owner converse with one another. The majority there are speaking portuguese and are clearly brazilian!!

Bottom line, thier food, drinks and service are all superb and for reasonable price. For $35 you are getting top quality meats and the salad and hot dishes side bar are just delicious! Thier spinach salad they offer is phenomenal! Like thier signature meat, Picana!! Absolutely delicious!!!

Brazilian food is my favorite and the way they make it here is great. It is all you can eat and a variety of meat to taste from. The buffet will fill you up and the drinks is very tropical and exotic. The atmosphere is fun and the staff very friendly.

After reading the reviews on this site (both good and bad), I decided to try Gauchos last night for my finances' birthday. I called earlier in the evening and was told that we could come anytime after 9:00pm. The exact words the gentleman that answered the phone used were, "We will have room for you anytime after 9:00". So we pull up at 9:37pm, the valet opens the door, takes one look at us and tells us the kitchen is closed. I ask him what time the kitchen closed and he tells me he doesn't know but the car before me left because they were told they could not be served. I tell the valet that I am going to pull up call the restaurant form my cellphone and see what they say. I call but get a recording which just upsets me more so I drive down the street to Don Cuco's. We were seated on the patio and had a great dinner. So why didn't they want to let in us at Gauchos? I have no idea. But I would rather drive to Fogo de Chow.

I've been to Gauchos Village 4 times, and I feel like everytime I drop by the service and the food quality is even better. I go to brazil once a year because of my wife, and you can highly recommend this place as an authentic peace of Brazil in LA. We just love it, and the deserts are AMAZING!!!!

I've been going to Gaucho's Village since it first opened 7 or 8 years ago and I've never been disappointed with the food. I've frequented other Brazilian BBQs and this is on top of my list. The quality of meat is great. The caipirinhas are strong and generous, and the service is fantastic. If you're there for dinner, make sure you ask for the leg of lamb. It practically melts in your mouth. And you can't beat the price. And best of all, it's costs almost half of what you would pay at Fogo de Chao.

If you've never been to a Brazilian churrascaria, don't fill up on the salad bar. You'll be too full for all the great cuts of meat.

At first we were skeptical about how this place can stand out above the rest of the trendy eateries in Los Angeles. But, as we were greeted by the warm, friendly staff and service with impeccable service, we definitely became converts!! The icing on the cake?? They surprised us with a most thoughtful, delicious dessert with a chocolate-drizzled message saying..."Happy Anniversary". Now, that's definitely a step above the rest!

We love churrascaria's and we eat out a lot we know when the food has no taste at all. We ate here for our friends birthady and we were overall disappointed with the meats they served. We felt that we overpaid for very bland and very dry meats and we tried everything they showed to our table. Even the Picahna (the Brazilian steak) was so bad very dry.

we stumbled upon Gauchos Village after watch the Travel Channel's show "All You Can Eat Paradise". the minute we walked in we were greeted by such hospitality. The staff made us feel right at home. The place is so warm, pretty, comfortable, it is hard to visually describe just how nice it is. the lighting is perfect, the tables are all set so nicely, the tv screen is playing brazilian artists and the atmosphere is welcoming and upbeat. The caipirinhas were perfectly made, even the passion fruit ones. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and we could have stayed all night at this place we had a hard time leaving. The staff were all friendly, professional, accomodating.. We loved the atmosphere, the food, the company, the sitting, the warmth. It was a true find that we were very lucky to walk into. I would recommend to anyone who likes good food, atmosphere and all around top notch service. As soon as you walk in you feel like it could be any lovely place in the world, Brasil, Portugal, fancy uptown establishment, chic downtown or really anywhere. So classy, fun, welcoming and the food stood up to the rest of it's marks. I hope they never change and just continue to prosper. We already miss the place and our time there. Thank you for making it so special.

my family and i went to g village sunday b4 mothers day. it was good, waiter was cute. and i asked him what kind of drinks were good and he suggested a drink that you would swear it tasted like an "orange julius" but alcocholic. the meats were great!! the filet mignon wrapped in bacon were DELICIOUS!! on friday and saturday they have a brazilian show, which i thought was NOOO big deal. it was 1 girl in the outfit and 1 guy just in white pants and a white tank top dancing around and getting people to dance. for some reason i thought the show would be better. but food drinks were GREAT!! definitely would go back again....

After hearing about this place on the Travel Channel (something relating to Steakhouses) we decided to drive all the way from Orange County to this place and check it out. It was down hill starting from the front door. We made reservations and when we arrived at the restaurant to check in with the host, he turned around and walked away. As we stood there wondering what to do next someone came up and took us to our seat. She was not very polite at all. We sat down and received NO service for about 20 miinutes. Finally we had to flag someone down to ask for drinks. When he finally brought the drinks (15 mins later) they were the worst caipirinhas I've ever had. The bartender might as well have just given me rum and ice. To top it off, the meat selection was not large and it was not very good. I've been to other Brazilian steakhouses before and I seriously think the mgmt paid to have this place on the Travel Channel. The entertainment was ok but I would rather have great service than a live band. Wnen we finally got a server he really tried to salvage our night but in my book it was a total waste. The service was so bad I think we could have walked out with out paying and they would not have even known. We ended up paying anyway, tipped the guy (because it wasn't his fault, he wasn't even our server, he was the only one in the place who asked how we were). I would not recommend this place to anyone at all. If you want to spend the money, go to the store and grill your own meat. I will definitely NOT be visiting this place ever again. The funny thing is that there were people walking around (I think they were mgmt) and no one ever came to our table to ask if we needed anything, etc. That totally surprises me because I had the worst look on my face of complete disgust. I wish they had made us leave afer 2 hours. That would have been the best part of the night.

I ate at Gauchos Village about a month ago and LOVED the food and the service. I liked it so much that I'm planning my graduation party there June 8 for about 50 people! I'm doing it on a Sunday and they've assured me that the 2-hour limit that others have complained about is not a problem on Sundays. Everyone I have dealt with has been nothing but nice and accommodating and I'm looking very forward to the event. I'll definitely be back to write about my experience, but so far so good!!!

I loved this place. I went there a couple of weeks ago with friends and we had a blast! I lived in Rio de Janeiro for a while, so I can attest that the food is very authentic . I have been to other Brazilian Restaurants in California and Gauchos? is now one of my favorites. I love the fact that the people working there are from Brazil and they are warm and friendly. The food was delicious and the band played classic Brazilian songs ? plus there was a samba show with dancers in full carnival regalia! I recommend that you make a reservation because we had to wait about 15 min to be seated. Other than that it was great!

I recently went to Gaucho's Village with a party of 10 (we made reservations) to celebrate a friends birthday. BIG MISTAKE. We ate dinner and were looking forward to having a few more drinks, then coffee and desert while we enjoyed the live entertainment. Just when I was about to ask the waiter for the desert menu, he handed me the check and said that we had reached the two hour time limit for our table. He said that we had to give up the table because other people had reservations. Meanwhile, the place was not crowded at all, and there was no one waiting to get in. There was no mention of a two hour time limit on tables when I made the reservations, nor does it say anything about this on their website. Had I known about the time limit, I never would have chosen this restaurant for my friends birthday celebration. The waiter said that if we wanted to order more from the menu, first we had to pay the check, then move to the bar, or go to the outside patio and start a new bill. I was completely flabbergasted! It wasn't like we were just sitting at the table and not ordering anything. We wanted to order more!! As it was, the check was around $500.00, but we were prepared to spend much more than that on on drinks and deserts. Unfortunately, Gaucho's Village never gave us the chance to do that. We were paying customers and we reserved a nice table by the stage so that we could have a great birthday celebration. They expected all of us to get up from the table and go sit outside?! I felt like we were being treated like dogs. To make a long story short, we payed the bill, left Gaucho's Village, and went to another establishment, where we spent our money for the rest of the night. I will never return to Gaucho's Village.

I will never return to Gaucho's Village.

.

I was looking forward to having dinner at Gaucho's since I heard positive reviews, but I was extremely disappointed by our experience last night. Perhaps the restaurant is in decline. First of all, when I made the reservation and told them that it was my husband's birthday, they asked for my credit card number because they needed to "reserve it in the computer." I was reluctant to do this, but I figured that it was a safeguard since the reservation was for 9 people. When some of our party arrived at 6 pm, the waiter did not ask us for drinks for about 10 minutes, so we went to the bar and brought back drinks to the table. The waiter was clearly upset about this and became angry and defensive. The food was generally pretty good; the "gauchos" were swarming us and recommended that we take our time. Then, things went sour as soon as it was around 8 pm. Our waiter brought our check and told us that we had to leave since we were approaching our 2 hour limit for our stay. I was so shocked. No offer for dessert and coffee--the waiter just brought our check! It was appalling. When I spoke with the manager, she said that it had something to do with the computer and then asked me if the hostess, who made the reservation, informed me of their policy. My response was "no!" They tried to offer us a free round of drinks after we paid the bill and started to leave, and in a rude, patronizing way, they suggested that we have more drinks "on the house" outside in the tented area. It was so rude. I have never been rushed out of a restaurant (and our bill was over $400) like I was at Gaucho's; it was obnoxious. We were still buying drinks and were planning on spending more money. We didn't even get the chance to order dessert and sing "Happy Birthday" to my husband. We will never return to Gaucho's, and thus, I felt compelled to write this review. Don't go!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I recently started a new job in Glendale and had always wanted to try Brazillian Radizo style Currascaria, but there are none where I used to live.

How convenient now that there is one located across the street from my office in Glendale. My boss took me there for lunch on Thursday, March, 20th and I was quite impressed with the atmoshpere and the sampling of meats. Being that it was a work day and I was with my boss, we were pressed for time I did not get to enjoy or sample everything. I was quite hooked though and immediately wanted to come back for Dinner withy my Family. My Birthday was comming up the following monday, March 24th.

So I thought what a perfect opportunity to bring my family that weekend. I showed them the Gouchos Village website, where we learned that if you brought 4 guests the Birthday's persons meal would be complementary. Fantastic, I thought because I would be dining for free. We hopped in the car and drove 40 miles that Saturday to Gauchos Grill. Yes, I conveniently work across the street but don't close.

When We got there, we were informed by Management that the Birthday Discount was only valid the "actual day of your birthday" and there was no lattitude of a few days. I am sorry but it is physically impossible to drag my family out 40 miles away on a Monday to have dinner to celebrate my Birthday,
I am not cheap but, still I could not believe that management would inforce such a tight policy on the birthday offer. It kinda off really ticked me off though and left a poor taste in my mouth not for the food or atmosphere that i so much enjoyed just two days before.

My boss had mentioned that there was also Pincanha's in Burbank and was superior in his opinion, so I called them up on my cell phone and they said that they had a simliar Birthday Discount but would honor it up to 7 days before/after your actual Birthday.
I made a reservation and and we left Gauchos Village and made our way up to Picanhas.

This place is incredibly festive! The walls, the staff, the tables; eveything plays to the fun upbeat mood. The meat is very tasty and there is a great selection. Perfect for a group of friend or mini-party.

Pros: Real Brazilian food

I went to Gaucho's with several friends from work because one of them had suggested the place! The atmosphere was fantastic and the decor was unique with costumes and clothes adorning the walls. BUT the management was absolutely RUDE and of no help.

First of all, we had made reservations informing them the party consisted of 10 adults and two children. When we arrived, they rudely told us that we COULD NOT SIT TOGETHER. True, they do have to cut the meat and it is a very large knife, but we don't mind passing the meat down for the sake of sitting Together! Not only that, but the manner in which they handled our request to put table together was extremely HOSTILE and HARPING.

Secondly, they brought over the child booster seat and , but left it in the middle of the walkway and in NO WAY attempted to assist our friend with his two babies and the arrangement of the seats.

In the end they finally relented and let us sit together, but to top it off, the FOOD was MODERATE and the selection POOR. I've been to many brazilian restaurants and if you're going to pay $30 dollars, I would rather go to Greenfield's, where the meat selection is greater, the salad bar is bigger and medium parties are welcome!

If you're going for atmosphere this is the place to go. It's classy. BUT if you LOVE FOOD and appreciate great customer service DON'T GO!!!

Virtually all of the information I?m about to share is posted repeatedly over voluminous reviews of this place, but since the last several seemed to be pretty negative and that?s all I saw at first (which almost prevented me from patronizing it), I thought I should clear things up.

Gaucho's Village Brazilian Churrascaria is a great time. The restaurant is pretty vast; dozens of tables lined up under a pitched roof that looks like someone flipped Noah?s Ark. The stage is at the far end, near the salad bar. On the salad bar you will find standards like rice and beans and sweet glazed bananas (sooo good). Don?t assume after your first trip up that you?ve seen everything the bar has to offer; they switch things up a bit over the course of the evening. There is no food menu. Like a buffet, you pay one price (it was on $31.99 on the Saturday night we went and on Fridays, but lower during the week). For that you get the salad bar and regular visits from the gauchos who come bearing meat. The meat is varied and delicious and almost always perfectly cooked. This is NOT a perfect evening for a vegetarian! The gauchos are friendly and fun and actually seem disappointed when you don?t say yes to an offer.

The entertainment is also really fun. There are two types during the night: the ?showgirls;? two Brazilian-built dancers in tiny glittering bikini costumes and huge feathered head things shake there most Brazilian feature almost impossibly to percussive Latin rhythms music and the band, an even more attractive young woman singer backed by a trio of bass, guitar and drums nailing the vibe on bossa nova tunes like ?Girl From Ipanema? (seriously, the whole repertoire sounds a bit like ?Girl From Ipanema?). They were really very good.

So, to counter the previous entries, I want to make it clear that this is a truly fun place with a friendly attentive staff, delicious food and pleasing entertainment.

I was first introduced to Gaucho's a few years ago by coworkers while I worked in the Glendale area. I love steaks and the sort and actually fell in love with this place. I ended up bringing my wife here and we now come about 2-3 times a month. It is our favorite restaurant. My wife and I travel often and thus we eat out often. We've been to Fogo de Chao in Dallas and many other Brazilian restaurants, nothing compares to the lively atmosphere and the fresh yet flavorful food of Gaucho's. My wife particularly loves the cheese bread as do I. The flan is to die for too!

My husband and I come here about twice a month. The service is excellent. Everyone is attentive to your needs. Friendly atmosphere, love the live music and dancers as well. The food is incredible. The meat is tender and juicy and packed full of flavor, like nothing I've ever had before. By far the best Brazilian food we have ever had and that says a lot considering how often we travel.

I've been here a few times and I love this place! The ambiance is fun and the staff really polite; it's a cool place for all kinds of events: group celebrations, first dates, cocktails. Dinner service is a bit hectic but there's a lot going on-the live entertainment-that you'd barely notice. Definitely make reservations and just go with a fun, positive attitude; don't let wait time discourage you because it's worth it in the end. The funny thing is I don't even eat meat and I still enjoy this place (they've got yummy side dishes)! I totally recommend this place.

If you have been wanting to travel to Brasil but just haven't planned you trip, its okay!!! You can travel to the next best thing, GAUCHOS VILLAGE in the city of Glendale and experience Brasil up close and personal.

I've been to Brasil over the past 7 years and visited many cities and eaten in those cities Churrascaria barbeque style food; let me say that GAUCHOS VILLAGE offers the same quality and atmosphere as those resturants in Brasil.

I have even had amigos visit me here in Los Angeles from Brasil and taken them there and they too were impressed with the food and atmosphere. I would recommend if you like to have fun on the weekends then Friday and Saturday nights are a time of not only fun but to experience Brasilian music, they offer live entertainment, with musicians from Brasil, and of course samba dancing performances at 8-9-10p.m. This is such a treat not only for you but friends and the kids. I was there last Friday evening and meet a 3 year old who loved the music so much he danced during the samba performances. He stay with his family and friends for all three shows.

So if you what some fun and good food go check the official website of GAUCHOS VILLAGE at www.gauchosvillage dot com and truly experience a taste of Brasil, you will be greeted by many Brasilians working at the resturant with not only a smile, but asking how do you like the food and music. You will more than likely be greeted from the owner, Kevin, personally.

I came here with a group of friends for my birthday. They totally made the experience wonderful and personalized. The band even sang happy birthday to me in portuguese, and get this, the owner gave our table a free bottle of champagne and took four of the dinners off our table. I've never had that happen before at any restaurant. Usually you'd be lucky to get a birthday candle in a cupcake at most other places. The service was great and the entertainment was exciting. I highly recomend this place for any group function or event. The only drawback was waiting for our table, but the bar kept us very happy and the drinks are yummy and strong.

I'm a regular and love hanging out at the bar to just absorb the atmosphere and entertainment. The drinks are sooooo good and very strong. Be sure to try the Caiparinha! The live music and samba dancers are incredible and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is to die for! I usually order the meat platter at the bar which is a variety of their cuts of meat and enough food to feed three or four people. It is very reasonably priced for what you get.
