Luna Studio is a great place to get your hair done for anyone who wants to look their best. When I first went to Luna Studio my hair was an ugly mess... orange, yellow, brown and looked like a skunk had run over it. From the minute I entered the hair salon I knew my hair would finally be fixed. All the staff are extremely welcoming, energetic and top notch hair stylists who not only are extremely knowledgeable but care about making you feel your best. Thank you in particular to my hair stylist Gjonni who really made me feel beautiful once again. Check them out!

Being a professional over 30 year old woman, I look for an elite studio able to provide me with a stylist who knows current trends and more so how to match them to my features. Kara was able to transform me in to a woman that people take notice of. She took the time to understand my likes and dislikes, and explained to me what could be done before doing it. The products of Luna Studio are the best of the best. The environment is top notch and yet very comfortable. As I am complimented on my new style I always recommend Luna Studio and Kara. All us girls deserve a great new look!

This salon was a different experience from any other i've been to. You really feel pampered there. From the hair stylist (Michelle Grabill) actually listening to you, and helping you figure out exactly what would look great on you, to the staff catering to your needs. They offer you free beverages of anything from water, tea, coffee, pop to beer and wine. I would def go back!

I have been getting Great Lengths extensions for years now and I found out at Luna Studio that do do a type of extension that does not involve glueing them in or damaging my hair and was much more affordable. They brought me in for a consultation, explained the process and quoted me a affordable price. They put me with Erin and when they brought me in to actually put them in, I left the salon so happy and amazed at the 21 in length that it added to my hair and the volume that my hair hav never been able to achieve. I have had sever girlfriends ask about them and where to get them. Thanks Erin and Luna.

I have always had the most challenging, rebellious hair and I have always been kind of depressed about it for all of my life. I complimented a coworker on how nice her hair was and she laughed cause she said her hair texture use to be the same as mine, until she went to Luna Studio for the Japanesehair straightening process. She said it worked wonders for her hair, so I called and made an appointment, went to the salon for a consultation, and they even had a special going on for $100 off the process. After the process, I can't tell you what that did for my self esteem and to actually have normal hair after so many years... I love my hair, thanks MIchelle and Luna Studio!

I recently went to Luna Studio and I've never experienced anything like it, I asked for the works and go everything from my base color to lowlights/highlights... I asked them what color line they used as my hair has never shown so much color depth, they told me Goldwell. my hair has never looked so amazing... after talking and getting to know my stylist ( who was just too cool) she told me that she was actually a Goldwell educator , her name was Dawn and she was simply a true artist. I highly recommend Luna Studio.

Fall is my favorite time of year, and I always look forward to my "fall makeover" and I have been looking for a new stylist with lots of knowledge and creativity and i found her in Michelle. When I met her , she was trendy, and fashionable. I gave her my ideas and she added hers and then something awesome happened! she made me very content and I feel like my search for a new stylist had paid off! I highly recommend all my frineds to see Michelle.

I recenetly made the mistake of going to a local salon and they turned my hair orange! I cried for days! I found Luna online and booked a appointment with Gjoni and I couldn't have been happier. I was embarrassed to walk in their with the way my hair looked, but after assessing the damage, Gjoni worked his majic and all was well. I'm not quite sure how he did it, but I'm just glad that he was able to fix it! Thanls Gjoni and thaks to Luna!

My wife has been bugging me for years tp stop going my "barbershop" and to go see her stylist Michelle at Luna, but I have always been leary to go to a "salon". especially one that my wife goes to. lol So finally caved in and wen to Luna Studio and saw Michelle, and I was suprised and what a great job she did, but even more suprised at how comfortable that I felt with the overall salon. I was expecting to feel awkward and I totally didn't. I felt like I was in a trendy art studio and the staff were super friendly, I will definitely be back and I even talked my best friend Josh to make an appointment with michelle.. I highly recomend LUna Studio to everyone.... even the guys

So I just moed from Seatle to the Northville Mi. and I was dreading finding a new stylist that I could trust to give me the same quality that I had come to expect from my last salon. So after reading so many great reviews about Luna Studio, I set up a appointment with Kara. She gave me an amazing color and cut, she is a technical stylist and is amazing just to watch work. I am so pleased with her and with my orevall experience with the salon.... as cornyas it sounds, my major move across country has been made easier jyst by finding a great salon and a great stylist!

omg! I use to see Audra at Gina Agosta for 6 years and then she moved to Beverly Hills CA. to work out their and when I found out that she moved back to Michigan and was working at Luna Studio, I was soooo excited!!! I have had to bounce around town to different salon siance she has been gone and I have not had the same color since, I am so glad that I have found Audra and I'm sure the rest of her clients will be too when they find out!!!!!!

I recently went to Luna Studio, and I loved it from the second that I walked in, from the second that i walked in I was greeted warmly, and my great stylist Tifani walked up and gave me a ton of great ideas during her consultation and worked her majic and gave me a complete makeover! I have never been so pleased with my complete experience at a salon!

I have been looking for a master colorist for years now , who can just give an amazing color and I believe that I found her at Luna Studio, her name is Dawn. The way she gave her consultation about color and then watching her work was amazing! I have recieved so many compliments from people that I don't even know,Dawms works was awesome, and I found my new salon.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well I was served as a male client in this hair salon. Usually men are ushered in and out of getting their hair cut, be we like being pampered too. I have a busy lifestyle and it was nice to come in and be cared after, for an hour. Thank you to the staff at Luna Studio for making the guys feel good too.

I've been reading the reviews and must say that if what is written about Stephanie and Lisa is true, then shame on them. If a client is 10 to 15 minutes late and calls to explain that they will be, then dismissing them by telling them to rescheduled is not good business. I wonder how many times these stylists have kept their clients waiting 10 or 15 minutes. I was going to try this salon, but now ... no thanks.

I have been going to Luna for less than a year and unfortunately had a bad experience with my last visit and will not be returning. The stylist cut over 2 inches off my hair and "point cut" my ends which is not what I had asked for. I asked for a blunt cut as I have naturally curly hair and now I'm left with these ragged, uneven, stringy ends and lots of frizz. I wasn't told they were going to "point cut" my hair until the stylist was cutting it midway. Now, I have to go to another salon to have it corrected and will need to have additional length cut off. Luna Studio overall seems like its a great place, however, my experience with my stylist wasn't so great.

I couldn't agree more with the last review!!!!! I love Luna Studio and I would never go anywhere else! I just came back from the salon and I sware everytime I come back from seeing Marina it looks better and better! I am extremely happy with my hair and my hair stylist! Every single time I have gone in there she is ready and prepared to enhance my look and to suggest something new, from a couple more highlights to maybe more layers! I cant tell you how important that makes me feel. I know that she is thinking of me even when im not in her chair! If you wanna see a stylist that is very talented you must see Marina !!!!!!

I feel that both of the previous reviews are way off. I had been looking for a quality salon in the metro area for years, and could never find one that would do want I wanted. Finally I decided to call Luna, and I have not gone anywhere else since. I lived in Chicago for a year, and I currently reside in Alabama, so when I make appointments, I try to call well in advanced. I feel that they are quite accommodating if you call early enough. I am disappointed in the complaint about Stephanie. She is a wonderful person, and would not just leave without having an extremely good reason to. She works insane hours, and tries to make sure she is available for her clients. I have found that there is a bit of disconnect between reception and the stylists...if you are ever having a problem (rarest of occasions) ask to speak to your stylist directly. And if there was some sort of emergency, then what can you do? Some things come before work. Whether you have a client or not.

Concerning the quality of service...I have not had anything done to my hair since July, and I still get compliments on my great color. That is just insane. It is well worth the price. I can think of no other personal service that you still see results from 6 months later. I love Luna Studio!

I am new to the area, as I just moved back to MI from Berkley CA. I read many reviews stating how great the salon is. So I figured I would try and make an appointment for a cut. Needless to say, when I called the salon last Saturday, I was put on hold for 5 minutes by one of the receptionist. I was forced to hang up due to an incoming call. Called back 10 minutes later only to be put on hold AGAIN by the same receptionist, only this time it was for nearly 10 minutes. Finally when I was taken off hold, I barely got to speak with her before I was disconnected. I am not sure what constitutes getting an appointment made at this place, but it surely is not through there phone service. Very disappointing and not to mention frustrating beyond words. I am sure the salon is fantastic, but I was unable to get past the very inconvenient reception staff. Perhaps I will try to walk-in.

I made an appointment to go to Luna salon to get hair extensions. I have gotten them from here years ago but was living in Chicago and was going somewhere else until I moved back to Michigan. I made an appointment for 6:00 on Friday.

I called the salon at 6:00 and told them i was running late. There was an accident on the expressway but my GPS told me i was only a few miles away. I told them I would be 15 minutes late. The girl said ok we'll see you when you get here. at 6:15 she called me back and wanted to reschedule my appointment explaining that Stephanie had to leave for an "appointment" she had. I couldn't believe it. I told her i was only 2 miles away and that I would be there in just a few minutes. I also explained that it would only take a minute to look at the color we were going to use..........I WASNT EVEN GETTING ANYTHING DONE!!! It would have taken her less than 5 minutes. Nevertheless, she told me she was sorry and had to reschedule me. I told her to forget it. I am just appalled that they refused to wait a few more minutes for me to get there. I think that is terrible customer service. Not to mention a huge loss for the salon. Extensions cost about 1200 and maintenance is a few hundred every 6 weeks. Not to mention the amount in tips! 20% on a bill that big is alot!

I am an employer and if I ever found out an employee left on a client I would fire them on the spot!!!!!!!!!!! I can understand being on time. HOWEVER, when it is a customer that I am handling I would have waited an hour if I had to.

Its a shame because I am an excellent client and spend alot of money on my hair. I will never call this salon for an appointment again. I would be too afraid that if something happened and I was running a little late I would have to turn around and drive an hour back home without the service.

This salon doesn't care about their clients. Don't go there.

The Bad:
Luna Studio is definitely one of the pricier salons in the area. My first time there, I was charged $230 for a cut and highlights (my hair is fine and shoulder-length). The pricing on their web site says highlights start at $50 and cuts start at $35... I'm not sure where the 3X price increase came from! I wouldn't be complaining about this if my stylist--Lisa--had explained this to me beforehand. Needless to say, I just about passed out when I saw the bill at the end (I was expecting it to be $150 at the most)!

The Good:
Very friendly and professional environment. I usually feel anxiuos in salons--keeping a close eye on what's being done to my hair. Here I felt very comfortable--like I was in good hands. The end result was perfect--I got exactly what I asked for. The highlights are very natural looking and the color compliments me well, the cut was also very flattering and low maintenance... still don't think it was worth $230 though.

Despite my gripes about the pricing, I'm going back for a second run this week. Lisa did an excellent job--this time I'm going to ask her to explain the pricing to me beforehand though. I can't find another salon in the area that I trust with my hair so I guess I will have to pay a premium for that.

I had my hair straightened by Maradith last night. My hair has never looked better. I have had curly, frizzy course hair for my entire life and when I left the salon my hair was stick straight and shiny. IMaradith was professional and she also made the process fun. It was well worth the money and I will be going back. I found my new salon and stylist. The entire staff was friendly and professional. You won't find a better salon. Thank you Maradith!

When I was there first time, it was good. The hair cut and color came out good.
She cut my hair twice to get it right.

The second time was....okay. Wet hair cut took 5 minutes. When she dried my hair, it looked AWFUL.
She started cutting more. Finally, the style was reasonable. When I came home and washed my hair, it looked awful again. I had to flat iron and put some gel to get the style. The stylist did not recommend any product, so I didn't know what she used.

I found most of good hair stylist will cut in wet condition then the style came naturally when it was dried.
I did not have to do anything. You could probably find the stylist who has a lot more experience somewhere else. Maybe Luna Studio's top stylist is that way.

Maradith at luna Studio did the Bio-Ionic hair straightening process on me and I LOVE IT!!! I have had countless compliments on my hair including that "You should be in a Pantene commercial." My hair was frizzy and I took at least an hour to straighten it enough to look decent. Now I dry it and it looks better than it ever did in about 15-20 minutes. This is going to sound cheesy, but the process has changed my life. I don't have to worry about humidity, getting my hair wet, etc. My husband is getting tired of me talking about it, but he is glad that it doesn't take me so long to get ready!! I highly recommend it.

I followed my stylist, Gjoni, to Luna several months ago and together they make the absolute perfect package for the best hair services and salon experience. I wouldn't trust my hair in the hands of anyone else and Luna provides a relaxed, spa-like atmosphere that always places the customer first. I haven't stopped raving about Gjoni's talent since I became his client in 2006, after he styled my hair for the cover of Hour magazine. Now, over a dozen of my friends and fellow skaters are all happy clients of his at Luna Studio and we're all constantly being complimented on our hair :)

After seeing my friends terrific hair and hearing her brag about the Luna Studio, I had to see for myself. I found out she was right, this is by far a first class salon. I will gladly drive the 20 plus miles each time to come to this salon. Stephanie did my hair and I would highly recommend her. She absolutely knows what she is doing and I came out with a total makeover. My hair is awesome, and it even looks great when I do it myself at home. I have an awesome cut and color and everywhere I go people ask me where I got my hair done. This has never happened before!!!! The place is relaxing, everyone is friendly - not snooty. It was overall a great experience.

I found Luna Studio online and was quite impressed by all the positive reviews. I went for myself and I was impressed by how the salon looked - trendy, modern and clean. The real reason that I was here was to see how good they were with hair as I have short , fine hair and I have trouble finding a stylist to give me the style that I desire. They gave me a delightful color and cut and I cannot stop talking about them, they are awesome!

For years I have always salon-hopped and I have never been loyal to any one salon or stylist, that is until I drove by and found Luna Studio. I decided to try them because I do business in the area and one of their logos on their windows caught my eye as I love to use that product. When I walked in I was taken back by the stylish and upscale look and feel but yet not snotty or stuffy. I was so impressed by the product knowledge of the receptionist that I decided to make an appointment and I was just as impressed by the color and cut that I recieved. I can firmly say that I will not be going anywhere else than Luna From now on.

I have been going to Luna Studio for almost two years now and I absolutely love their service, so much that my mother, grifriends, and some coworkers now go their based on my recomendation and admiring how great my hair always looks. Now recently I have been deeply touched by Luna Studio and how they run their business and are in touch with their clients in good and bad times. I am a school teacher and recently my husband have fallen on hard times with all of our bills and the cutting of hours at both of our jobs doesn't help any. I was forced to cancel my last appointment due to not having enough money and I was embarrased t call them directly to cancel my appointmnet so I emailed them to cancel my appointment on their website. The very next day I recieved a call directly from the owner asking if everthing was ok because it was not like me not to come in for my appointment, without wanting to embarrass myself he asked me if the reason for me calceling was due to hard financial times, I answered yes and I was shocked and touched by what he said next, he said that he has had several clients fall on hard times and he said that we were their to help him grow and support his business that he wanted to repay our loyal patronage by keeping my appointment and making it complimentry. I was deeply touched that he doesn't only run his business based on the dollar only but on kindness. I went to my appointment and as soon as my stylist started on my hair I started to cry, I will never forget this kind of service and they didn't just rush me through or give me their "free service" , they gave me the same quality service that I have always been accustomed to. No I see why they won "best of" city search in 2007 and on my last visit I learned that they won " Best Top 200 Salon " in North America by Salon Today, not only do they run a top successful hair salon, they stay in tune and are their for each and every client. Thank you Luna , you touched my heart!

I model locally for local clothing stores and clothing magazines and I was cursed with the most god awful tangled coarse hair. I did some research and was told about the Japanese thermal hair straightneing process and I went to Luna Studio to have the process performed. I have never seen my hair look so beautiful, soft and straight. I would have never thought that someone could make my hair look so great ! Thank you Luna Studio!

I went to my first visit to Luna last week and I of course asked for some hair magazines to try and get some ideas as to what to do with my hair. My stylist then sat me in her chair and asked me what I was looking for and now after looking at all the different styles in the magazine was more confused then when I first walked in. She gave be an unbelievable consultaion and then went to work and all during the process explaining to me step by step what she was doing to keep me comfortable. I must have come accross as really nervous beacuse she offered me a martini and it was amazing. I still couldn't tell how my hair was going to turn out but as she was blowdrying my hair and styling it, it was fabulous! My hair has never looked so great - my husband kept his eyes on me all evening! When I left I felt like I known my stylist forever, the entire staff was very friendly. I have recommended Luna To about 5 people already!

I have to take a qucik second during this busy holiday season to take my hat off to the staff at Luna Studio. I had several holiday parties to attend this month and Luna Studio styled my hair for each and every one and they made me look dynamic. I recieved a ton of compliments and my confidence was very high and I know that I impressed several business contacts. At times I only gave the receptionist at Luna a same day notice and they gladly accomodated me. They are always professional and full of helpful creative ideas, If you are looking to try a new salon, TRY LUNA!

After having a really short cut for about 4 years I decided to grow my hair out. By the time it was probably 4" in length I decided to get it shaped. As I recently moved to Michigan from NY, I took a recommendation from a friend I decided to go to JC Penny salon. What a freaking nightmare!?!?! I should have known better! I ended up with "helmet head" and an uneaven cut. Once it grew out, I decided to look around to find a better place to get a cut and found Luna on CitySearch. I actually just got back from the salon and the only thing I can say is "God bless the hands of Johnny!" I got the best cut I've ever gotten in my life....seriously! It suits me, my personality and my face perfectly. Not to mention easy to maintain, wash, put some molding gum and GO! I LOVE it! I guarantee I'll be a regular. It's so difficult to find someone who can work with hair this short and I would definitely recommend Johnny!

I was looking for a new salon after being here for the past few years and never getting a cut, I figured I'd look on this site for a place nearby with good reviews. I am SO glad I did! This place is OUTSTANDING!

I admit, I totally felt out of my element, it is very classy, has great color, a great design, and even the staff is gorgeous! I walked in, was warmly greeted and asked if I would like a beverage, and my coat was taken and hung while I waited for Lisa. She popped out and stated she was a couple minutes behind, which I was fine with, and I again was asked if I wanted a drink, they could even go in the back and make me tea....yeah, I felt out of my element REALLY, this place is super nice!

About 5 minutes later, she came out and greeted me, and we went to discuss my cut. I wasn't too picky, and she described what she thought would look good, and I agreed to go for it. We went and washed my hair, and then cut. She dried it, then flat ironed it some, then said she'd put some curls in it because I had a dinner to go to later that night. She did a fantastic job!

Everyone there was super friendly, and from what I'd seen, do incredible work! I will definately go back any time I need a cut or color! Best service I've ever had, Best cut I've ever had! Thumbs WAY up!

I was tired of my last salon and the lack of attention or the "hurry and rush you through your appointment" that I always recieved their. I went online and I found so many posiive things about Luna Studio so I went ahead and gave them a try. As soon as I walked in the salon I was acknowledged right away by girls at the front desk who were actually genuinely friendly and not snobby and I will add that the it was a beautiful looking salon. My stylist Lisa was both charming and impresively knowledgeable , she gave me a thorough consultation and asked me about my hair history and what I was looking to have done that day. She gave me a ton of great ideas and gave me a exact quote for my hair services before she started my hair and then gave me an amazing color and cut and even a nice glass of wine while my color processed. When she was done with my hair she didn't rush me out of the salon even though she was told her next client was there ,and when I was checked out by the front desk I was not finished with my drink and was told that I could sit in their lounge area and read a magazine and relax and finish drink. WOW! , now thats service, I will definitely be back to Luna Studio!.

Ever since I let my last stylist talk me into chopping off my hair ( what a mistake) I have always wanted my hair long again. So I found Luna Studio and they brought me in for a complimentary consultation where they showed me about five different types of extensions that they had to offer nad a price quote for each different one. They then brought me in for my service and I actually choked up a little with how amazing my hair now looked. I have gotten so many compliments from my extensions and I even referred one of my coworkers to Luna because she suffers from thinning hair and hair breakage and one of the types of extensions is specifically for her type of hair. They even sell my favorite hair products - Kerastase and Shu Uemura !

I have had several profesional and personal holiday parties and gatherings to attend in the past several days and I happened to stumble across Luna Studio and I decided to give them a try for my blowouts for my social events. They made me look both amazing and stunning and I recieved so many compliments at every party that I went to and my career depends heavily on networking and attending social events and the blowouts that Luna Studio gave me were amazing and gave me the confidence that I needed to make some great business connections. I have a lot of Christmas gatherings to attend in the next several weeks and I will be getting a blowout every week like clockwork at Luna Studio. Thier blowouts are the best anywhere!

Just got done with getting my hair cut and colored hair. Very disappointed.
The cut is lovely but shorter than I had ask for. However, the color is not at all
what I expected. I know it must be difficult especially since my hair is black and
I had dyed it with a box color but STILL... I expected better results. My hair
is suppose to be brown with different shades of brown highlights. It turned out to be
a base color that I'm not even sure of and copper highlights. For some reason, it looked
different in the salon which is the reason why I didn't speak up. They were about to close
plus I know it usually takes time to get used to but EVERYONE told me the color looked ridiculous.
Not just the color but the price. I felt like I was overcharged. My friend had hers done too and didn't
get what she asked for. Well, we will let them know tomorrow and hopefully they will fix it or give us
some sort of refund. Not satisfied at all. Especially since I drove 45minutes to get here and spent three hours+. I really wanted to like this place. My hair means a lot to me and now I feel like crying!

O.K. so I made the mistake of buying color from the local cvs and tried to save some money and I tried to color my own hair. It turned out disasterous and I started to cry and started to think what was I going to do with my hair with work and just going out. So I googled color and highlights and Luna Studio popped right up and after reading all of their comments I figured that i would not be able to get in right away but to my suprise the receptionist listened to what I had to say and put me on hold while she asked one of the stylist if they would stay late and perform the color correction for my hair. To my suprise they said that I could come right in and they would fix it for me. As soon as I walked in I was made to feel at ease ( which is nice for a change at a salon) and then my stylist came and took me to her chair and took the lead like a true professional and explained to me my options and then she worked her majic and fixed my hair . I was so relieved with the was she made my hair color turn out. So take it from me if you are not a certified stylist never try to color your own hair at home and if you are looking for the best color and highlights in town go to Luna Studio.

For years I have avoided salons, opting to cut my own hair instead( rather than subjecting myself to the typical negative experience) . This has obviously limited my hair style sptions. Recently I visited another salon - a highly -rated establishment. Since I am experiencing hair loss this was not an easy taask for me and unfortunalely, the salon was anything but respectful of my condition. My stylist conspicously announced (as her colleague casually looked on ) that I had very thin hair, stating that it must take "no time " for my hair to dry. Humiliated and unhappy with my results, I quickly paid the re ceptionist and slipped away. Then I discovered Luna Studio and I bravely made an appointment and braced myself for and unpleasant experience.
I was blissfully suprised with the decor at Luna Studio, which had the feel of a hip, cozy coffee bar: it was luxurious, mellow and professionally warm. The staff was welcoming, yet polished and immediately acknowledged my entrance into the studio even though they were with other customers. I felt respected, and immediatley at ease. My stylist Stephanie, was wonderfully personable - a true compliment to the Luna Studio experience.
Luna Studios business philosphy is ground breaking and the entire staff is stellar, I cannot stop relaying my " Luna Studio Experience" to others! Compliments to all the staff at Luna Studio!

Me and my girfriends all made our appointments this last Saturday at Luna Studio for our event styles for homecoming at our high school and they made us look absolutely amazing! I mean we walked out of there looking like a million dollars. My parents and my boyfriend couldn't believe how amazing I looked. Everyone at homeconing kept asking me where I got my hair done at and gave me like a million compliments all night. Oh yeah did I forget to mention that I won homecoming queen! I think that it's fair to say that everyone who goes to salons that you are at best extremely lucky if you find one great stylist much less two. I was referred to Luna Studio 7 or 8 months ago and the stylist that I was referred to see was all booked up for that day so I was put with Kara who did an amazing job, I have in the last 7 to 8 months seen Kara, Marina, and Erin and they have all been amazing. Each one was knowledgeable and skilled with their color knowledge and technical cutting skils. I refered my mother to Luna Studio who has seen Emily and Marina and just raves about them. I am not that easily pleased nor do I want just anone touching my hair and all five of these stylist have done amazing work withcolor and cuts. If thats not enough the rest of their staff from the assistants to the front desk girls are so friendly and helpful which is a nice change from the other snobby girls at other salons. If you are looking for a new saln where the entire staff is not just good but amazing then my vote is for Luna Studio. P.S. my hats off to the person responsible for designing the salon it is beautiful!

I have always believed that education is always the key to success and personnaly having my masters degree and still working towards my next degree I must say I was taken back and very impressed when I was told of some of the resumes of the staff at Luna Studio. I have been going to Luna for a little while and just recently found out that these guys have some pretty impressive resumes. Tim just got back from training in Beverly Hills with Jennifer Annistons personal stylist and is being sent to Berlin Germany next week for color training. Dave has traveled to South Africa and recently to London England for training. Lisa, Kara and Julie went to Toronto for color training this summer and Gjoni went to Beverly Hills a couple of weeks ago to train for an entire week. Stephanie went to a hair seminar in Cancun and Stacey went to a hair show in Orlando this summer and Julie just got back form a hair academy in Baltimore. My stylist also told me that the owner has in salon education every single Monday for all the stylist and even brings in national guest artist just for his staff and he has sent multiple other stylist around the country and around town to local education. Now I know why my hair always looks outstanding, like I said education always speaks for itself and it speaks and defines Luna Studio. I think that most other salons in the area hire their staff right out of beauty school. If you are looking for a competent, knowledegeable, veteran group of stylist I highly recommend all the staff at Luna Studio

I had an appointment on the wed before labor day weekend. I left myself with PLENTY of time to get to the studio from Somerset MAll (Troy) to Novi. I gave myself an hour (normally it would take you MAYBE 25 minutes). Traffic was heavier than normal and I ended up arriving 10 minutes late. I came in and apologized for being 10 minutes late, not thinking for a second that it would even matter. Upon check in, I was told that "Lisa does not want to discuss her personal life." I said, that's fine, this is my first time here, I have no idea what you're even talking about. She (the receptionist) then proceeded to tell me EXACTLY what Lisa did not want discussed. Then went back and talked to Lisa to tell her that I had arrived. THe receptionist returned a minute later, and apologized telling me that since I was 10 minutes late, that Lisa could not do my hair and I would have to reschedule because she had another client coming in 10 minutes. WHich is really funny to me since I had an appointment for highlights and a cut (2 hours at least), so I don't know how that would even be possible. I was also very angry since I went to that side of the state that week just to have my hair done there because I had heard it was such a great salon (i live in Grand Rapids), and it had just taken me over an hour to get there from a few miles away, and she refused to do my hair. For the salon's sake I hope she works her personal problems out and doesn't turn away any more would be clients like she did me. I will NEVER go there again.

I'll make this short: Luna is simply a great hair salon. I called on Monday afternoon and asked if I could have an appointment asap and I was immediately given an appointment for Tuesday morning. I was put with Stacey who is a mid range hair stylist ($50 for a haircut). I brought in pictures on my i-pod and after giving her specific details (length, bangs, volume, etc) she gave me the perfect haircut. The layers are great, she was friendly, and gave me a great blowdry. The service was great, I was offered tea, lemonade or coffee, which was from a local coffee shop or somewhere which was great. I was in and out under an hour. Very happy with the results, will definitely be back. The decor of Luna is also nice, contemporary and modern but still had a friendly vibe to it.

I wanted to write a quick note in praise of Luna's excellent service. I just moved to Northville from Chicago and chose Luna after reading many positive reviews on CitySearch. My appointment was with Merina, and she was absolutely darling. We discussed the color I wanted, but when I got home I felt like it was just too dark. I gave it a day, but every time I looked in the mirror I just didn't feel good about myself. Granted, this was more my fault than Merina's as she did exactly what we had discussed. I called to make an appointment for a redo and was able to get in immediately. Merina did such a lovely job of adding highlights to soften the color, and I am thrilled with the results. Everyone was so friendly to me at my return (not snobby and annoyed as some salons are when you return to tweek something), and now I have the perfect idea of what to ask for in the future. I also got a great cut with lots of fun movement and volume. I highly recommend Luna Studio and plan on returning for my next cut/color. Perfect professionalism and excellence.

I took the time to read all of the reviews for Luna Studio and I went to see for myself if they were as good as everyone was saying that they were. I booked my apointment and I let the receptionist know of my hair challenges and they said that Stacey would be a great it for me. So I went ahead and experienced Luna for myself and they were as good as everyone said that they were. From the moment that I walked in the salon was very edgy and stylish, both the receptionist were friendly and accomodating to all of my needs. Then a very perky and friendly assistant came to give me a shampoo.massage. I felt like I had known her for years she was so easy to talk to. Then Stacey came and did her majic with my hair. She asked me what i wanted and deliver it precisely. Some of the other things that caught my attention was how clean the salon was and how all the staff were so friendly with one another. I have literally been to some salons were you could feel the tension in the air but not here there is a fun/friendly vibe in the air. I absolutely loved the whole experience. Nowlook at me , now i'm the one writing a review in favor of Luna Studio, They Rock!

I recently searched online and google top salon in Michigan and Luna Studio popped up. I was tired of going to salons in the mall there is just something not right with them.I am going to be a senior at Novi high school this year and I want a hot new look for my last year of high school. So I went to Luna Studio and they made me feel so welcome and Emily gave me a new edgy-hot look for my senior year. My hair color and cut has never looked so good. My hats off to the people who run Luna Studio they are the best around whne it comes to knowing notonly to be great at doing hair but knowing what guest experience means. I hope that I am not alone when it comes to saying that when you spend your hard earned money that its not only the actual service that is delivered to you but also your entire experience that comes with the service. I will give you an example, when you stay at the Holiday inn vs. the Ritz Carlton there is a clear difference and I don't mean in just the price but with how they treat their guest or another example would be a BMW delership vs. a domestic dealership. That is how I would best describe my experience at Luna Studio, don't get me wrong they are by no means stuck up or snobby but they not only excel in their quality of work but they excel with their guest relations also. The front desk is always smiling, friendly, and helpful and the assistants that wash your hair and the stylist who excel in hair knowledge and professionalism. I have been to a number of salons that maybe did god hair but I have never been to a salon that excelled in "guest experience" I know as individuals we are all different and have different expectations but as for myself I have in the past stoped going to places like a bank, restaurant, or even some stores even if they offered good products. I look for quality products but also great customer service and Luna Studio provides all of that and there are not many busines's much less salons that excel in that and Luna Studio does!

I am in my 30's and I have alwaysbeen challenged with the worlds most coarse,curly, and challenging hair that anyone has ever been born with. I have had my hair straightened before but it never lasted long or looked and felt natural. I searched online and I founf Luna Studio and I went in for a complimentry consultation, Kara gave my a in depth consultaion as to what the Japanese hair straightening process involved and answered all of my questions and quoted me an affordable price quote. I then when in for the actual process and I took my laptop and used the salons wi-fi to fiil in my processing time. When Kara was done with the process my hair looked amazing! It was so baby soft and as straight as anyones hair could ever be I could not stop touching my hair, I mean for the first time my hair looked and felt beautiful. I was able to style it any way that I wanted, my friend and family were amazed with what Luna did with my hair. I loved my entire experience with Luna Studio , from their guest relations to their high quality of work.

I will kep my review of Luna Studio short and straight to the point. I was looking for a new salon and found Luna Studio online and I made an accomodating appointment, was greeted warmly and given a tour of the beautiful facility and offered a refreshing drink. Next came a great shampoo from a charming assistant and then came a consultaion for my new fall color look and a great cut. The entire staff is very talented and that is a good sign when looking for a great salon and where to spend my hard eaned money.

When I started looking for a new salon and I looked on city search and saw how many great reviews that they had recieved I thought let me try them for myself and see if all the review were actually true. I am a teacher for the Northville school system and I wanted to try something new with my hair and with a new stylist. I must say from the minute that I walked in and I recieved a wide variety of drinks to choose from to the assistant that made me smile with all of her great stories and gave a intoxicating massaging shampoo to the stylist who statred off the appointment with a definitive consultation with what I wanted and what her recommendations were. I was so amazed with the end result, and i am telling the truth it was the middle of the week and when I went home and my boyfriend saw me and note that he has never paid attention to any new hairstlye with me hair it caught his attention right away and he complimented my hair and even took me out to dinner, so if your looking for a new salon you won't be dissappointed with Luna Studio, I can't wait to go back to school and show everyone my new hair!

I found Luna Studio here on city search as I was looking for a salon to do my event style and all of my bridesmaids. I was very frightened for them to do my hair as this was the biggest day of my life. Well they brought me in and we did a trial run to make sure that the day of the wedding everything would go perfect. Then the big day came and they went out of their way to have orange juice, champaign, and bagels for me and my bridesmaids. All of us were more than pleased with the artistic work that all of the stylist did for us. I am so glad that I found Luna Studio on city search and I would highly recommend them to everyone.

I have to respond to hayesjdr, I have been going to Luna Studio for a number of years and I am a close personal friend of the owner. I am married to a professional athlete who use to play in Detroit and sadly he was traded a couple of years ago to another city and next to moving away from our friends and family the thing that i miss most from the area was my hair salon Luna Studio. Before I married my husband I was a hair stylist for a number of years and knowing the business the summer can be kind of slow for most salons and people that work at salons do take vacations in the middle of summer and I also happen to know that last weekenf Julie one of their top stylist got married and they shut the salon down so all the workers could attend and the other half took the next day off to recoperate from the celebration the night before and what do you know that happens to be when hayesjdr happened to have her appointment. I always happen to come back to the Detroit area every 6-8 weeks so my children can visit family and friends and I always go to Luna Studio for the best color and cut anywhere, keep in mind I get to travel with my husband all over the country and can afford to go to any salon that I chose to and I always choose Luna Studio. As far as them being slow or busy I tried to bring my friend with me on my schedule my appointment and they were booked for the entire day but they went out of thier way to squeeze her in. In regards to the ladies working at the front desk wanting to go home early what 19-20 year old doesn't want to leave early on a Saturday when its 90 degrees out. I know I am going on but the owner is a personal friend and I am giving an honest opinion. I have learned in life that people lie and numbers don't so when it takes 2 months to get an appointment with Lunas senior stylist and they win national and local awards and I read all the other great revies from people that vist Luna and don't know the owner I think that hayesjdr is being truthful

I hate trying to find a new hair stylist. There's so much out there & you never know what you're going to get. After reading all the positive reviews here I decided to try Luna. I was not let down! I called Thursday & asked to schedule an appointment with Tim, but he was not available for 4 weeks, so I asked about Gjoni & was able to see him the next day. The girl who washed my hair was very nice & helpful & very enthusiastic about Gjoni & how great he was going to cut my hair. Gjoni was very nice too & I have to say the haircut is amazing! He used a razor blade instead of scissors & I love how it turned out. The way he blew it out was also amazing. I was somewhat afraid that I wouldn't be able to get it to look as good since there's no way I could ever work a blow-dryer like he does. Fortunately the cut is so good that I hardly have to do anything to it & it all just falls into place! Needless to say, I will definitely be returning to Luna!

I was pretty excited about trying something new and this salon was rated one of the best in the Detroit area with rave reviews. I thought I had a pretty good shot at getting something great. Maybe my expectations were too high.

I called to make an appointment and was told they were all booked up but I could call Saturday morning to check on cancellations. I called and got in. When I got there the salon was half empty. When I left, it was emptier. One of the receptionists said to the other, "you can leave - it's not very busy." Now, to me, that makes it seem like they tried to sound like they're busier than they are and so popular that you need to call WAY in advance to get an appointment - very pretentious. Like "I'll have my people call your people" or "I'll pencil you in."

Saw Johnny and, despite the fact that I told him I wanted a change, he gave me my same haircut - just shorter. Also frustrating is I told him I thought it looked uneven and he assured me it wasn't. It is definitely not even. It's a long drive, so I won't be going back to get it fixed. I'll just deal with it until it grows out and I can see my "regular" hairdresser. She always gives me a good cut and it's never uneven.

He dyed my hair and cut it for $120. It just goes to show you that you don't always get what you pay for.

The salon is very stylish inside and the people were very nice. That's about all I can say that is positive. If you have someone you like, stick with them. If you're looking for something new, don't waste your time or money here.

I recently went to a charity auction sponsored by our ladies group and the item that me and my best friend bid on were two gift cards that were donated from Luna Studio for a cut and color for the both of us, so we decided to make a day of it. The timing couldn't have been better as my hair stylist moved out of state. I was very scared at first trying a new stylist as I am so paticuliar about my hair but i figured that it was for charity so we made a day of it and what a great experience it was. We we both so impressed by the beautiful design of the salon to the friendly staff and the color and cut were awesome! So thank you to Luna Studio for donating to our worthy charity and thank you for making it easy for me to find my new salon.

I was so mad when I went to make an appointment at my last salon and they informed me that my stylist Gjoni had quit and they would not tell me where he was. I called 7 salon in the area hoping to find him and I screamed when I found him working at Luna Studio. You don't even understand Gjoni gives the most amazing blowouts! He actually has other clients standing around and watching his techniques, he is amazing, and he does amazing things to my hair. If you are looking for a new stylist ask for Gjoni and you wont be dissappointed! (oh yeah and I really love his new salon also which was important to me)

I am only 27 years old and I must confess I have never been loyal to one salon, i have always hopped from one salon to the other. Then I made my way to Luna Studio and there is just something different about this salon. I mean I understand that the economy is bad but its like all the other salons are just so slow and empty and you can feel the negative energy in the air and that is what I noticed right away at Luna Studio, they are just so busy but they still go out of their way to cater to each guest. There is an amazing vibe in the air not to mention the quality of work. I use to go to a salon that uses Aveda color and it always faded in two weeks like clock work but my stylist at Luna Studio says they only use Goldwell color, and my hair color has never looked better. Then to top it off I actually got the haircut that I asked for for a change. I am giving up on my salon hopping days and I am staying loyal to my new salon- Luna Studio

So I decided to take her up on her offer and went for a color and cut and I just fell in love with Luna Studio at first sight. Where do I start, from the friendly front desk to a amazing precise color and cut. Me and my stylist bonded right from the startt, it was like we have known each other forever, and to top it off they sell my favorite Kerastase! Some of my coworkers are being relocated with me to Michigan and I have already let them know not to worry about having to find a hair salon.

I can't say enough about this salon. The staff is extremely professional and my stylist (Stephanie) is the absolute best! My hair hasn't looked better. The color system they use is great. I'm very impressed on how long my color stays in between visits. And my hair is never dried out or damaged after a color treatment. You're missing out if you aren't a client of this salon!

I have seen my last stylist after 25 years and I was terrified after she let me know that she was retiring. My sister told me about her salon Luna Studio and I was to terrified of seeing a new stylist but they made me feel so comfortable and I kept nagging the poor stylist about how to do my hair and then the stylist told me to relax, let loose and let them do their job so I did and what a beautiful job. I couldnt believe they got it right after just one visit, I have friend who go a long time after their stylist leaves and spend a lot of money on a couple of new stylist that never got it right. I am so relieved that i was one of the lucky ones that found a new salon and stylist. I love Luna Studio

I as a interior decorator for a living and I have always taken pride in my sense of style and fashion and lloking my best as it relates directly to my job. My family has always been critical of my hair though and have been telling me to find a new hair stylist. So I spent the other day going into about 4 salons in Novi on Grand River and either they were not impressive or their stylist only did color only or haircuts only. Then I walked in to Luna Studio and I was greeted my friendly receptionist and given a tour of the beautiful salon. (my compliments to whoever designed the place) I was given an accomodating appointment and i knew the true test was my cut and color which have always been challenging due to the fact that have thinning hair. I was so nervous trying a new salon and stylist. After my color and cut I was so happy then I went home to my five children and i recieved so many compliments. As I started this revies my looks play such an important part in my job as my clients are lloking at my personal style and take that into consideration as a determining factor in hiring me. The first two clients that I have gone to both hired me, now know that me being hired wasnt only because of my hair but i also know it played a big part as both my clients payed me compliments onmy hair. I spent my time wisely that day I looking for my new salon Luna Studio stod out amongest the rest and delivered on their work!

I have always bought Kerastase fro Luna Studio for a while but I had never gotten my hair done there. ON a recent visit I was offered a complimentry haircut just for buying Kerastase so I decided to take them up on their offer. When I walked in the receptionist asked for some information to build a personal profile for me and i kindly let her know that I was moving to Ann Arbor and I would not be traveling from there to Novi for my hair services. I was then given the best color and cut in my life by Gjoni. My hair has never looked so fabulous. When i was checking out I let the receptionist know that I needed to book my next appointment because I was definetly coming back!

I am an interior decorator for a living in Oakland county mainly and I have come to learn that when I am out doing my job that my owm personal appearance is key to getting to hire me and in this economy I need every edge that I can get right now. I have a great husband and 5 wonderful children and all of them have been telling me for years that I am attractive and that I have good taste in clothes but that my old stylist did a horrible job. So this last Tuesday I went to 5 salons in Novi all along Grand River and i randomly walked into each one determined to find a new salon. I cannot believe how I was treated at the other four salons but when I walked into Luna Studio they set themselves apart from their competition by far. I walked in and I was immedietly by smiling and warm faces. i asked some questions and I was given a personal tour by the owner and i was so impressed by the awards that they have won, I was taken by the artistic design of the salon, but what won me over was the great vibe I felt just walking around in the salon. So i booked my appointment and I could not looking in the mirror at how great my hair looked! I get compliments all the time from my friends, family. and most importantly my clients. Thanks Luna Studio for the great experince.

I wanted to take a few minutes to thank the entire staff at Luna Studio for their generosity. I have been a client for many years now and have always loved their great work. I recently went home and read my email and saw that i had won a complimentry cut and color to give away to a friend or family member! I gave it to my daugher who i won't elaborate too much but she has been down on her luck lately and has not made it a priority to take care of herself much less her hair. After her visit when i saw her i cried when I saw how beautiful they made my daughter look again and just her confidence was just back again. I asked her how they treated her on her visit being that it was free that there might be some kind of catch or selling point, not at all they treated her just like they have treated me. From the bottom of my heart to all the staff at Luna Studio , Thank You Luna Studio for making my daughter look like a princess again!

I have been going to my old salon for the last 5 years now and I just had to find a new salon, I mean it was like there was no energy or creativity at my last salon. My old stylist never had and new suggestions or excitement. So I had to go elsewhere and I was referred to Luna Studio by a co-worker so I decided to try them. I mean talk about night and day, what a beautiful salon! As soon as I walked in it was just so alive, I mean everyone was smiling and busy , there was just a great vibe in the air. Then my new stylist asked me what I was looking for and then gave me some of her great ideas and we agreed to what we were going to do and it was beautiful! She even talked to me what we were going to do different next time, I cannot wait till then!

I found Luna Studio on City Search this week and called them to set up an appointment. Over the phone I let the owner know that that I lived in Lansing and that i was fed up with the local salolns. I mean it seems like all the salons around Lansing hire only stylist right out of beauty school, I mean why is it so hard to get stylist that are experienced and understand exactly what you want. So I went to Luna Studio and Let me tell you it was worth the drive. I have not had a cut and color like this in so long, i had a consultation with the stylist , let her know exactly what I wanted and low and behold she delivered it right on the money. I t was worth every penny!

I've gone to Luna Studio for years and I couldn't get in on my last visit on the day and time that i needed and I made one of the biggest mistakes of my life and went to a salon down the street where they messed my color all up. So I went in crying to Luna Studio and they calmed me down, took me right in and fixed my hair. I love how they have mastered the art of hair, I mean watching Julie work on my hair is like watching Picasso paint a picture. She is just so precise! I learned my lesson that when it comes to stylist all salons are not the same and Luna Studio is a very special salon with very unique artist. What in the world is going on at Luna Studio? I have been going there for years now and two weeks ago I went there for a blowdry and the place was just so busy. Then I went their this week for my color and cut and it was crazy busy. Now usually when a place starts to get busy like Luna Studio they start to lose their personal touch with their clients but not these guys. From smiling and accomodating receptionist to Natalie the assistant giving a great hair wash to my stylist Stacey giving a great color and cut. I am so excited for this staff , I mean having got to know them personally over the years and watching them grow to this level of success it all seems to be paying off for them. This is truly a professional staff that has got it together, Congratulations Luna Studio! Your busy booking of that many clients coming to see you speaks for itself.

I have been going to Luna Studio for over a year and a half and i have always enjoyed my experience their.Lately I have been noticing the salon just flourish and grow to a new level and their entire staff seeems to have stepped up to their new role as the go to salon in Novi and the surrounding area. I have just noticed a growth in maturity and an understanding of knowing how to master the art of color and cuttting of hair. Don't get me wrong they have always been great but its just fun being a long time client and watching a fun trendy staff put off a great vibe I just love going there just to hang out and see the whole staff their and also watch what seems to be a lot of passion go into their work! My mother-in-law is the so hard to please and when she called meand told me of her experinece at Luna \\Studio I was astonished. I have been a client at Luna Studio for 2 years now and I have always recieved discounts from Luna for sending them friends and family throught their various promotions but I lost it when I came home one day and my husband told me that he forwarded my email that i had recieved from Luna Stuidio notifying me of the free cut and color that I had won from them to of all people my mother in law. Please don't think bad of me I love my mother in law but I just knew that if she wasn't satisfied with their work I would never hear the end of it. So I dreaded my answering my phone when I saw my mother in laws number on the caller id. I thought I better get this over with. Can you believe it she wouldn't shut up about them, she went on and on with how beautiful the salon was and that they gave her tour and spoiled her for free and she said she kept on waiting fot the catch for it being free and they gave her no hastle to buy anything. Now every time I get together with the in laws that is all I hear about I mean I found them. Last i heard she was going again in 5 weeks with her sister and her girlfriend. Luna I owe you guys one thank you very much!

How do they do it? It always boggles my mind how my stylist at Luna Studio have always been consistent with getting my haircut and my hair color so perfect each and every time. I mean the salon I use to go to from seeing the same stylist she never seemed to give me exactly the consistent color and cut, but Kara my stylist at Luna is amazing she is so consistent every time and she gives me the exact sam great salon experience that I have now come to expect from My salon.. Then one day I recieved a phone call that Kara was sick and they wanted me to see a different stylist to keep my appoinment. I was scared beacuse I thought to myself thist other stylist is not going to color and cut my hair like Kara right? This is the part that I don't understand how this other stylist got my color and cut the same consistent way. I am just amazed, I highly recommend Luna Studio

I live in the condos right next to Luna Studio and I have seen several of the designers based on their availibility and everyone of them gave me a great cut . My girlfriend use to make fun of me for being a guy and enjoying visiting Luna Studio until she came with me and experienced it for herself and booked her own appoinment and loved her cut and color and has her mom coming in for a visit. I went to Luna Studio for the very first time this week and I must admit that i was very scared of going to a new salon for the very first time after going to my old salon for the past 8 years. I found Luna Studio on CitySearch and I read all of the reviews and I thought I would give them a try. It was just like all the other reviews said, I was greeted by smiling faces and just like the other review said I was greeted by the owner and given a tour and he gave me his direct number if I ever needed anything. (what a beautiful salon!
) I then got a great cut and color by Erin,I won't reveal my true age but I felt so young and beautiful leaving Luna Studio. I have found my new salon and I am here to stay. I know my review will sound like the other reviews but I will put it this way, I have never taken the time to do surveys or to ever write a review and you are now reading mine. Take my word for it, you have to experience Luna Studio, I highly recommend it!

I have lived in New York my whole life and my cousin from Michigan came to New York to visit me a couple of months ago and I was amazed by her hair and I asked her where she got it done and she told me back at her salon in Michigan. So when I knew that I was coming to Michigan for family visit I knew that I had to go to her salon Luna Studio. I didn't have an appoinment and I just walked in just to take a look at it as I am very paticuliar (being from New York) where I get my hair done. I wasn't able to get a walk in at that time but I was given a tour and set up with an accmodating appointment. Now mind you that I live in New York and I have been to some of the best Salons in New York , I was taken by my entire experience at Luna Studio. I was given a glass of wine, a great massage/wash and a fantastic color and cut by Jessica just like my cousins. Now get this when I got back to New York my friends, family, and co-workers asked me where I got my hair done at and I told them Luna Studio. If the owner that I met at Luna Studio is reading this review you told me on my visit to Luna Studio that if i ever needed anything to let you know personally, well I am letting you know that you need to put a Luna Studio in New York! I can't wait to visit my family again in Michigan. Luna Studio is on the New York level !

I recently visited Luna Studio for the first time based on a recommendation from my friend who insisted I see her stylist Tim and after her hearing me complain about my current salon down the street here in Novi. I was kind of skeptical at first when i was told of the wait time to see Tim but the i recieved a call back that Tim would come in on his day off. upon my first visit to Luna Studio I was greeted with the friendliest staff of any salon I have ever been to. I don't know why so many salons have a rude or stuck up front desk, but not at Luna Studio. I was offered a wide variety of drinks but took them up on their offer of a glass of wine. The assistant gave me a great massage/shampoo and time put the exclamation point with a great color and cut. I thought this was the end of my experience and I was suprised when I recieved a phone call from the owner asking me how my experience was. I let him know that i would be back and with some friends. You can just tell when a business is on top of their game and Luna is on top of their game

I've been going to Dave at Luna for almost 4 years now & my hair has NEVER been better!! I started with long , out of control-frizzy hair-now its short , silky and smooth-and the color is perfect!! I just went to Luna studio for the first time ever on May 15th because my friend recommended her stylist to me. i must admit that my expectations were not very high at all because of my recent bad experiences at my last salon right down the street. Wow was I suprised. They took me by suprise with the smiling faces that greeted me the instant I walked in and offered me some coffee from my fav Coffee Beanery. Then the assistant came and gave me the best ever shampoo/massage. Then my stylist came and gave me a thorough consultation and gave me the best color and cut ever. Then on my way out the owner came up and helped me with my coat and asked me how I found the salon and to find out how my experience was. You just don't find this level of service anymore anywhere. The best was when I got home and my boyfriend who never pays attention to my hair actually took notice! That says a lot of Luna Studio, you guys rock! I'll definetly be back and with some friends

I have been getting my hair done at Luna Studio for about 8 months now by Kara who I just love the way she cuts and color my hair. I have always loved everything about Luna Studio from their user friendly web site where I found them to my ability to make my appointments through their website to getting my appoinments confirmed via e-mail. I am a business woman and it makes it so easy to communicate with my salon with my blackberry. (and I use my lap top with thier wi-fi internet set up while my color processes) I the positive vibe that I feel from the entire staff at Luna Studio its something unique, but what took me by suprise was on May 14th was when it was pouring rain like crazy and Kara had just finished coloring and cutting my hair and I didn't bring my umbrella. I was standing at the front door waiting for the rain to let up when to my suprise and amazement the owner of Luna Studio Dan came up to me and asked where my car was parked and pulled my car to the fron door for me and walked me to my car with an umbrella. I have never taken time to write about services that i have recieved but this experiece has shown me that their are some rare business' out there that are still first class, even on rainy days. I love Luna Studio

I just voted for Luna Studio and I panned down to read the reviews in which all of them were extremely positive except for one that seemd kind of fishy. It was written by "Criterion." I have been going to Luna for about 6 years and except for an occsional receptionist here and there over that time they have been incredibly consistant. From all the businesses I frequent when they hire younger or part time staff who deal all day with the public i don't find it uncommon to run into one having a "not- so-good" day and I am grown up enough to just deal with it. My stylist Tim has been featured in magazines and websites all over North America but I would consider him as far from having an attitude as you could imagine and is the first stylist to really listen to me (even when I am having one of my moments)..So long story short I just don't get that last review and it seems kind of fishy that they wrote one scathing review for one salon and one highly praising another on the same day in the midst of a contest. Pretty low indeed. Go to Luna with confidence and you won't be dissappointed :-) BTW I thnk Tim should hook me up with a free haircut next month...just kidding!

I have been going to Luna Salon for about 6 months and they have completely fixed my once wrecked hair. They are so friendly and attentive. The receptionist (i fogot her name but she had a british accent) even went to another store to get me a coke! They wait on you hand and foot and my stylist really listens to me but thankfully interjects with her opinion. I always love a fresh and honest viewpoint. I used to go to a salon that had their hair stylist only do color OR cut and I felt like I was in a factory.

Luna Studio was my salon in 2005, but I was transferred out of the area in 2006. When I came back to the area in 2007 I couldn't wait to go back. There just seemed to be quite a bit of changes going on in the salon, I didn't feel comfortable at all. The biggest problem I had with the salon was the rude staff, specifically the receptionists. My haircut wasn't what I asked for, the stylist seemed to do what they wanted and didn't care much for my input. As the title says, don't waste your time and money.

I get my hair cut, colored, and highlighted here all the time. Britney does my hair and I have referred all my friends to her also! The prices are reasonable and you get $20 off your first visit plus $20 off everytime you refer someone! The salon has a modern atmosphere with really good customer service. I've been to many salons with stuck up people at the front desk, not here. I will never go anywhere else!

I just had my first visit to Luna Studio for a haircut and color with Tim (sorry I don't know his last name). I had been reffered to Luna Studio by a good friend and I think she was a little nervous to refer me because "she" thinks I am difficult to please. I must say that I was blown away by the both the hair color and the cut. Tim listened, he offered his opinion, and then he DELIVERED! I would also like to mention that the receptionist seemed to wait on me hand and foot and even brought me a glass of wine (nice touch). The whole staff was as about as friendly as one could imagine and after reading the last review I felt really sorry for her because she had a completely opposite experience from mine and maybe she (or her stylist) was having a bad day??? Either way, looking around the place and chatting with the other customers while my color was processing I just sat beck and enjoyed a really cool, fun and relaxing atmosphere and I would HIGHLY reccommend them to anyone.

i change my hair color a lot. i've recently moved in the past year to this area and have been holding off on finding a new salon. i didn't have the money and i was a little scared to try out a new place. my previous salon was absolutely amazing and NEVER let me down.
after searching online i saw that Luna studio had great reviews and one of the highest ratings, plus i've driven by it many times and have always been curious.
my experience, however, was exactly what i feared most. my color turned out nasty and when i went back TO HAVE IT FIXED, the stylists were condescending and snobbish and made me feel quite uncomfortable.
i will NEVER go back. the products were great and so was the cut, but the color mess and overall experiece is enough to make me run.
after spending $150, and 2 visits i'm still unhappy with the color.
perhaps if i had had a different/better sylist this would have ended up better.
it seemed like a great place, but alas...it was not.
BOO!

I met one of the other parents from my daughter's pre-school and loved her hair. I recently came across Luna Studio from several recommendations by more co-workers. So I decided to try them out and I had the best time and a great haircut. The decor and atmosphere is really cool and really laid back. My stylist was Kara and I was so impressed that I sent my wife in as well and she was also extremely pleased. They even have a WI-FI network, how cool is that?! I say give them a try!

I have come to the Detroit area from NYC and I didn't expect to find a salon of this caliber. I LOVE my new David Beckem esque style...thanks Luna!!!!
