I brought my Mac G4 to Laptop MD in horrible shape!!! The drive was bad, the operating system corrupt, etc., and I use this computer for music/protools applications. My business was in jeopardy!!! About 1 month ago my hard drive crashed, I sent it to a place in Novato and they wanted to charge me $1500.00 to recover my data. These guys were able to recover it for less than half of I was quoted previously by other companies. Thank you!

It has always been my opinion that you should take your computer to a local service, preferably to people "who know what they are doing", if you know what I mean. I was impressed with these guys, they were not only very knowledgeable as they were friendly and professionals.
I have heard horrible computer repair experiences and I've been very cautious when choosing who's going to touch my pc ;-).

these guys are great. had my gateway laptop restarting every 5 minutes. send it to gateway for repair, got it back 3 weeks later, in the same condition as prior to sending for repair. called Laptopmd, had my laptop picked for FREE in 1 hour. Next day, got it back, in 100% working order. for a very reasonable fee. Highly recommended. Quality and customer service is authentic.

I went to LaptopMD when my Aunt's computer was making a werid beeping screch sound whenever I turned it on. They were very affordable and they were able to get my Aunt's computer fixed that very same day. Now it works as good as new.

Wow! I am so impressed by these guys at LaptopMD. My Apple Powerbook needed a hard drive replacement and naturally I took it to the Genius Bar at the Apple store. The "genius" there quoted me about $550 so I was a bit hesitant. Then a coworker of mine recommended me to LAPTOPMD and through their website, I got a quote for under $200 for the same service. All you have to do is call, and i had a messenger by my place within 2 hours. Next dayI got my laptop back, good as new. They send your old hard drive back or can back up your data. The speed and price of LaptopMD really beats waiting in line to pay double the price through the Apple Store... in fact the Apple guys told me I had to wait 2 weeks. Who has that much down time. I highly recommend these guys if you ever need to get your computer fixed -- FAST and CHEAP!

Thank u Laptopmd. Great job. Great service. Great prices. Screen on my Toshiba laptop went dark, all of a sudden. Took it to few big shops, with big names. Was told I need a whole new screen and it would take 2-3 weeks, to get fixed. Plus the price quotes was close to buying a whole new laptop. Laptopmd replaced a light bulb inside my screen the same day for half a price. Can?t get better then that. Highly recommended.

We called almost 5 companies and none could fix our Linux server, LaptopMD came over the next day a fixed our server, so if you have Linux we highly recommend them.

I've been having problems with my powerbook G4 for a while, and things came to a head the other day when the dvd/cd drive died with a cd stuck in there. I made the mistake of going to Apple and Tekserve first, but they did'nt have a clue- they wanted to send it away for about a week- and were quoting me prices that were equivalent to a new laptop!
LaptopMD fixed it for the right price, the same day, in less than an hour, and gave me great advice about where to get a new battery for less too. Don't go anywhere else- these guys know their stuff!! Great value great service.

I was astonished at how much this guy knew about computers. HE took apart my entire laptop and put it back together and it worked perfectly. If you happen to spill a snapple on your computer, this is the person to contact for help!

I'm a photographer and my entire business is on my computer! Last Wednesday my computer crashed and I freaked out thinking I lost all my photo files. I took it in to laptop MD and they repaired motherboard and retrieved data in less than an hour while I waited! They also guarantee work for 1 year. If you have same problem within year they fix for free!! Great company!

My son spilled milk on the keyboard of my laptop. It froze up and I couldn't use it. Laptop MD sent a courier to pick it up in the morning. By about 1:00 I had computer back with functioning keyboard. It was so quick I had borrowed a friend's laptop because I work from home. I didn't even have chance to use borrowed laptop as my was fixed so quickly. Great value and speed of service.

I fully rely on my blackberry to keep my business running on the go... I was in quite the pickle when my screen shorted out... luckily I found LaptopMD :) They fixed my problem so fast that my business didn't suffer from the down time... What's even better is they guarantee their work for a year! If the same problem occurs they'll fix it for free! No where else will you find this caliber of service!

I had a breach in my network security due to lack of knowing how to properly set it up.

I've had so many troubles with my laptop in the last few months and attempted so many "band-aids" that I thought I could get by. I finally got fed up with all the hassle and found LaptopMD here on CitySearch. The guys over there truly know what they're doing and resolved every issue I had, my system has been running perfectly ever since. I have used several computer repair companies, but LapTopMD said that they would finish the job in an hour, and they did it in 30 minutes. This is a company that seriously wants to fix your computers and not waste anyones time. My computer is now perfect and will use them every time.

my computer got a virus and froze. the only way it shut down was to let the battery on the laptop drain. when i plugged it back in it would not start again, took it to the IT guy in my office - he couldn't do anything. aside from losing everything on there, my friend had his thesis for grad school saved - with all his latest revisions, so i totally felt bad. i came across laptopmd and eddie and gave it one last shot before i threw away my computer. i couldn't believe it - he fixed it! - installed new of whatever was damaged and recovered everything that was saved. he works miracles.

Finally, after using three other people, I found someone who really knew computers and got rid of all of my viruses and spy programs, and backed up my old stuff, too, so I could put it on my new computer. Price was good, too! I would recommend!

I owe small business and my laptop crashed. I called Laptop Doctors, they showed up in 2 hours, retrieved all the data, installed a new hard drive along with Operating System and all my data. They are life savers. My data was my whole clients database. Thanks to LaptopMD I was up and running in a matter of hours and for a very reasonable fee. I highly recommend to everyone.

After i lost my data on my laptop i took it to that place, it looked professional on the website but it doesnt look that on site.. it took them over a week to find out that they cannot help get the data back and unable to get the parts needed.

Without Eddie I would have flung myself off the highest building with the cries and whining of our employees echoing in my head. I'm an office manager and can honestly say that finding Eddie was the best thing to happened to me since I got here. Thanks to Dr. Ed, Ididn't have to wait weeks for my computer to be repaired, and I didn't have to pay the outrageous quotes I was getting from the manufacturer. He is an extremely hard worker (took this job last minute and turnaround time was quick) and I was able to pick up and drop off at my convenience, not during strict business hours (when I have to be at work myself). I can't say enough good things about the work that he has done for me, and he is also a very nice guy, too.

Our NT server crashed and we could not get anyone to fix it right away. We had deadlines and desprate to get back up and running.

Dr. Ed was able to fix my broken Mac, even after Tekserve said that they couldn't do it and that I would have to pay approximately $700 to have Mac fix it. Dr. Ed took care of the problems for under $200. I was impressed and highly recommend his services!

Eddy was the first computer tech I had ever hired to help me with a computer problem and he was worth every penny. He knows his stuff, quite responsive to calls and questions and got my big hardware problems fixed within 4 days (including weekend time).
He has great prices on hardware to boot!

If you have computer problems that no one can fix take it to the DOCTOR. I have an extremely old dinosaur-like computer that I've been clinging to for the last 7 years. Recently, I wanted to fix and upgrade my system so I chose Doctor Ed. His rates were extremely reasonable and he was able to correct all the problems in my computer. Plus, he was flexible with the times I could drop off and pick up. And he even makes house calls. All in all he turned a complete nightmare into a pleasurable experience.

Dr. Ed was most reliable in getting my pc up and running after it crashed. I chose his drop-off service, and he was able to provide a turn-around that lived up to his promise (in my case, my pc was ready the next morning). His communications with me on the phone were attentive & responsive, never dismissive. Dr. Ed stands behind his repair work, and did offer to follow-up if my pc still experienced any problems. He makes housecalls, too. Dr. Ed is efficient and honest, and an added bonus is he's a really nice guy!

Dr. Ed helped us convert Quicken and Claris from MAC to PC. In addition provided answers for several nagging cross platform hardware and software issues while he worked. Priced extremely well for house call visits.

Based on the recommendations I read on Citysearch, I called Dr. Ed after my computer was attacked by the Klez virus (and at least one other virus). It was important to me that I have my computer back in 24 hours. In 24 hours my computer was back, the harddrive was scrubbed and my files were saved. And when I needed a driver to get my internet service up and running, Dr. Ed dropped it off himself so that I could get connected. First rate service, reasonable fees.

After going to a computer repair shop in Brooklyn where the guy wanted to charge us $225 and 2 days to get our laptop's hard drive back to normal, Dr. Ed fixed it for a lot less. We've spent more on a meal out then what he charged us. He was cordial, efficient and on time. He answered every question and was very accessible, even by cell phone. We would highly recommend him.
