Message from Pearl at MGM Grand
Chinese cuisine, specializing in Shanghai and Canton province dishes
- Seasonal menu
- Located inside MGM Grand
- Live seafood
Cuisine with essence of the Canton and Shanghai provinces, with food prepared utilizing the four Chinese cooking methods: Steamed, braised, baked and fried. Live seafood is the specialty. Chef Kai-Wai Yau prefers a menu that constantly changes so he can take advantage of rare and unique seasonal offerings. The atmosphere is serene and contemporary Chinese. A masterpiece both in looks and in taste.

Yummy
This restaurant has the best Chinese food in MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their Chinese food is pretty tasty and very authentic. The restaurant is very clean.

Yummy noodles!
When I get to Vegas, I aim to eat out as much as possible. I usually avoid Chinese food, as it isn't my favorite genre- however, the noodles here are wonderful! I had the lo mein and my boyfriend had the almond chicken. Both were so good we kept eating off each other's plates!

Lousy
Save your money and don't go to this overpriced restaurant. If you want trashy food go to the trash bend, it's fresher and you know what you are getting and you don't have to pay for it it's free.........................
Pros: Food is over priced
Cons: You don't know what you're getting it smells bad like its from the trash

Top Asian Food, Great Venue, Location, Staff
I have eaten at Pearl twice and both times have been great. The location is amazing, and the large water/wall in the right rear of the main room makes for a very cool place.
I had the spare rib appitizer both times, and it was great on both occasions. I had almond chicken one time and a salt and pepper beef dish the second. Both entrees were great.
A meal at Pearl could range from 40-100+ per person, but I think you will enjoy the experience, check out the menu beforehand.
Pros: Food, Room, Location
Cons: Price a bit high.

Highly Recommended...
Very, Very, Very good food. Great service. My parent are almost vegan. They were totally accomadating and overly nice. Service is great. Food is yummy. I recommend the Mongolian Chicken (not on menu) as well as some of the appetizers. Good Noodles.
All in All, a perfect restaurant
Pros: Perfect Experience. No Glitches...
Cons: Maybe the Wine List if I have to be a critic...

Great Food, weird serivce
Stumbled on Pearl by accident, had no idea what we'd be getting into and were pleasantly surprised. The food was awesome - chicken salad and some kind of lettuce-wrap-like appetizer were unbelievably good, as was my sea bass special with some kind of saki sauce. Even the fried rice was light, and didn't seem at all fried.
The waiter seemed mostly confused and could not even discuss the wine, let alone recommend one. But we did get what we ordered : )
It was pricier than you'd expect for Chinese food. We paid $70 each, and only had one bottle of wine.
Pros: Light Fare, Appetizers
Cons: Service, Price

Less than mediocre food!
My sister and dined at Pearl during our recent stay at the MGM Grand; we enjoy fine dining and if we are spending a bit more on food, we expect to get our money's worth. We felt cheated at Pearl! While the decor and ambience are inviting, they are offer false security that the food will be just as good. Not only were 2 of our 4 dishes incorrect (and had to be re-ordered), all 4 left much to be desired regarding taste and quality! The lo mein noodles were very greasy, the beef was fatty, and the chicken with vegetables dish was extrememly bland and the chicken was processed! We are not usually picky about our food; however, not using real quality chicken in their dishes is not acceptable considering the price we paid for them! You and your pocketbook will regret dining at the Pearl.
Pros: decor, service, ambience
Cons: food, food , price
