Southwest NY consists of 13,000 sq ft of indoor and waterfront outdoor dining space at the World Financial Center in Battery Park City, across from the new Freedom Towner. The restaurant features indoor and outdoor seating, an open/vision kitchen, a bar and café area, a made to order quick service salad shoppe, meeting rooms and a large table for communal dining. SouthWest NY is a moderately priced restaurant featuring contemporary Southwest cuisine. Specialties include in-house smoked products such as chicken and meats, as well as house prepared desserts, ice creams and sorbets, and baked goods. The bar feature fifty plus types of margaritas. We also offer full service catering, so whether you want to order a hamburger to go, sit waterside and sip one of our delicious margaritas or treat the office to a catered event, SouthWestNY delivers it all!

Big bar crowd 
Southwest is a good after work place to hang out with friends. Its usually loud and crowded. The views are great. The prices are a bit steep and the food is only decent with a limited menu. The quality of service varies. If you are looking for a fun place to drink this is it. If you want fine dining, think twice.

This place is one of my favorites in NYC. The outdoor seating area gives you a beautiful view of the river, boats, and city lights. The food is consistently good and the atmosphere and decor both inside and out make this place a must visit. Sit outside on a warm night and you'll feel like you're on vacation :)

every dish was perfect
Just took my mom there this past weekend for her SW. It was recommended by a friend of mine. They have a nice location. We had two starters , the calamari and pork tacos. The calamari were definitely the best I've had. Very tender and fresh on the inside, and tasty on the outside. We tried two different main dishes, the pumpkin ravioli and skirt steak. They were all very good. All dishes had great presentation. To finish up we had a pumpkin cheese cake for desert.
The service was very good and the staff very friendly. We didn't have to wait too long for our dishes. Throughout the meal they kept the table clean by cleaning up after each course. The setting was quiet and dim, great for a family gathering or romantic dinner.

What a view!!
This place has the most amazing view in NYC!! During work hours I go to the retail area and pick up a salad and snack, always fresh with great customer service. After work, I go for the bar and the view. It's the perfect spot to chill out after work.

AMAZING MARGARITAS!
I went there last week for the 1/2 Price Drink Promo. It was amazing. All I had to do what sign up for their mailing list and show the promotion to the bartender. They have the best margaritas... and for 1/2 price, they are even better. The staff there is great, all of the hostesses are so friendly and willing to above and beyond. I am very excited that they decided to keep their promo through the rest of the month. I plan on going back!

Delicious with a Beautiful View
The food is so great here. The prices are amazing. The service is unbeatable. The view from the restaurant is absolutely stunning, especially at night with all of the boats and lights. Delivery is quick and convenient.

Avoid
Me and some co-workers went out to enjoy a nice lunch outside. We get there and we are told 25 minutes for a table outside, understandable, so we go and eat inside. Food sucked. Had some pizza and it was horrible, tons of cheese on a tortilla slice with no sauce. There is nothing special about this place, best go to Pizza Hut, at least you don't have to pay 3 dollars for each additional fountain drink refill. What a joke. Stay clear of this train wreck.
Pros: hmm, I did see one hot waitress, location is nice as well
