over rated  3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

From everything I have heard, I thought this was going to be a dining experience of a life time. First, we had to wait for a table which is unusual in NYC. Second it was really expensive. The food was ok, but not as good as it should have been for the price.

Very Expensive  5 Star Rating - World class

If you like overdone Asian decor, you are going to love Ruby Foo's, a large food palace with 400 seats and a menu to match. It is quite expensive but well worth it and the martini's are great! Service was good as well.

Great Great Place!  5 Star Rating - World class

You have to try this plae if you are in NYC. It is an asian restaurant and everything I have ever tasted has been excellent! The best part of my meal is always the Benti Box for dessert - it looks like a tray of sushi, but it is sweet and delicious!

Ruby Foo  5 Star Rating - World class

I came here for a business lunch one afternoon, and I did not expect to like it. I was totally wrong because I loved it. It is in a wonderful spot in the city located right off of Times Square. The interior is decorated, and it is so interesting, and modern.
It is family style serving so all the orders come in large portions. It was a little expensive but so delicious. We ordered a little bit of everything, and it was all so delicious. The servers were so friendly and really helped us with any questions. She was quick with the food and drink. I absolutely loved this place and can not wait to go back.

Fun, go dunring the day or off-hours 3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

Food is good, fun atmosphere. A bit pricy. Best enjoyed off hours, when they aren't too busy: late afternoon , not a weekend evening.

Overcooked, Overrated 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I have to admit, so many people told us to go to Ruby Foos...so for a special night with our children, going to Kid's Night on Broadway, we took them to Ruby Foos on Broadway Theater District. We had an early reservation (5:30). The service and host was very good since we called a few times to tell them that we were running late because of bad weather getting into the city and they were very accomodating. I would say that was the only good thing about it. We ordered the crispy chicken lettuce wraps and pork dumplings for appetizer. The pork dumplings were the best thing we ate. The Chicken lettuce wraps had very little chicken to put in the lettuce. We ordered the Pad Thai Chicken and Shrimp, the Ruby Stir Fried Chicken and a house sushi roll (I forgot which one). The chicken and shrimp in the Pad Thai were dry and over cooked as was the chicken in the Stir Fried Chicken (which tasted burnt as well). The sushi roll was not fresh, very dry. I cant imagine that it was just the items we ordered. I would have had a much better chinese meal going to a different restaurant, paying half the price and getting a much better tasting meal.

Pros: Good Service
Cons: Awful food

very delicious with excellent service 5 Star Rating - World class

Went to Ruby Foo's uptown location, it was an early dinner pre show. 6:00 reservation. the place was not crowded at that time. We were offered a table in the window, but i asked if we could sit in the main dining room, which is very dramatic with its sweeping stairway and eclectic Asian decor. The drink called Ruby Foo, was potent and delish. It was brought to the table in the shaker and poured into the frosted martini glass by the server. There was enough for two full drinks in that shaker!! When my glass was almost empty the waitress came over and poured the rest into my glass. That's Great Service. Great food recommendations by the waitress too.We had some Cali rolls, tempura rolls, pork dumplings for app's...all very good and fresh. The main course of the Filet mignong with chinese broccoli was amazing, very tender and flavorful. We told the waitress when we got there that we were going to a show and she made sure the service was prompt and everything was hot and served just right!!! We left around 7:15 and it was getting busy, you can see they were setting up for some big parties....also they have a fun kids menu and were very attentive to the children seated near us.

Pros: great service, delicious food

Ruby Fooey 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

Fooooey - anyone that knows anything about asian food would agree that this place totally sucked. i've been there with my husband, looking forward to a nice romantic dinner. the place caught our attention by its nice ambience, but that really all it has. as you feel like sitting in a fridge this restaurant is a big rip off and i wouldn't recommend at all to go there. its not more than an overpriced mcdonald-standart place!!!

Pros: ambience
Cons: everything else
