I am Asian and basically have no eyebrows! My friend convinced me years ago to get permanent makeup (tatooing). what a disaster!!! The shape was off and it turned this horrible blueish color over the years.
I was watching the Tyra Banks show (not something I regularly do I swear!) and she was interviewing this French makeup artist named Verika Seddik in NYC. So, I figured I would check her out. I was desperate.
Best decision I have ever made. My eyebrows look amazing now!!!!. The color and the shape are perfect. This woman is a true artist. She uses these natural pigments so they will fade over time and I will need a touch up. But this is why they look so natural now. She calls it micropigmentation. If you are in need of new eyebrows you must call this woman!!!! I plan on doing upper liner next. I am so excited.

I had such a pleasant experience at this spa in regards to laser hair removal. i just finished a series of 6 with Elsa the spa's medical aesthetician. My hair is about 95% gone, no burns, fast response and Elsa made me feel so comfortable. There are so many laser hair removal factories in the city and so many horror stories. Medical aesthetics is a very private type of spa. They made me feel like I was very special.

I have been a loyal client of Dr. gerstman's for about 3 yrs now. i adore her. I have mostly been doing Botox and Retylane. But as time passed, I started noticing these tiny lines aroung my eyes and mouth and my cute little "freckles" were not so cute anymore.(I assume too many years in the sun!). Not bad enough that I needed a really aggressive treatment like the FRAXEL or something. But enough that i started obsessing!
So i signed up for Dr. G's Triniti program. Three lasers in three sessions and I am so happy! I did hurt a bit but it was really worth it. I was pink and blotchy after each session and my dark spots would get really dark. But with a little makeup i had no problem going to work the next day. For someone in their 30's or 40's who is starting to see signs up aging on their skin this program is the best. Yeah, Dr G!!

I am a 31 yr old woman still suffering with acne. And i have tried it all; Accutane, lasers, Retin a, Proactive, antibiotics etc. My friend told me I had to go see Dr. gerstman. I was totally sceptical because I have already seen NY's so called "best". But I also had nothing to lose. She was sweet and comapssionate as she listened to my skin drama. But more importantly she treated me with a laser that actually worked!!
It is called the ISOLAZ. It sucked out my pores, calmed down my acne, and it didn't hurt! I know i will have to come back for maintenance but i am totally fine with that. The treatments aren't torture, the staff is really nice, and the teatments actually work! Dare I say i may have really found NY's "best"???

I just finished 6 sessions with the Velashape laser. It is awesome!!! So much better than the Velasmooth. Only 6 sessions once a week (instead of 16!! ) and so much more powerful. It even has this new "contour" attachment that gets the fat really hot so it actually shrinks. So, a paid a little extra and finally got rid of my love handles. I swear. God must be a woman!!!!

Dr. Gerstman has created an urban sanctuary that instantly puts you at ease. While some medical spas are designed with only women in mind, Medical Aesthetics is comfortable for men as well. I highly recommend Dr. Gerstman and her staff to everyone.

Dr. Gerstman is expert dermatologist, plesant and nice. She really listens and doesn't push any services on you. As per her recomendation i've been getting a series of FotoFacials treatments in combination with skin products and results are amazing!

I LOVE Medical Aesthetics. Dr. Gerstman is an expert dermatologist who will work hard to achieve the results you want. She is compassionate and knowledgable and always takes time to work with her patients' needs. Even when I'm emailing her frantically on the weekends with questions, she takes time out to write thoughtful, clear, concise, and always useful answers and advice. Elsa is also really knowledgable and good at what she does. I had seen about 4-5 other dermatologists for acne before I came to Medical Aesthetics, and Dr. Gerstman was the first one to work aggressively enough to achieve the results I wanted. Her Acne program is focused on results and treats all causes of acne, not just one. I recommend visiting them to everyone!

I have been seeing Dr. Gerstman for acne for three years now. I went to her in desperate need to clear up my badly blemished face, back, and chest. As an African-American women, I felt like my blemishes and scarring would never go away no matter what I tried until Dr. Gerstman started me one of her great microdermabrasion/peel regimens. Within a year of treatments, medication, and topical products my face is 95% better. I can truly saw before meeting Dr. G and her warm, compassionate spirit, I was so insecure about my skin and now I am so much more confident in my skin than ever. I would recommend her spa for its sense of relaxation and tranquility, Dr. Gerstman's compassion, her expertise, and her love for her work. She truly is my miracle worker!

Dr. Gerstman is a gift sent to us from the beauty heavens! Her spa is located in Soho, she's fabulously talented, extremely professional, is warm and genuine, will help you look your hottest and will always make you feel special and welcome. Her equipment is state of the art, the spa is lovely and you get to wear a gorgeous kimono for a robe!

Elsa, her medical esthetician, is also wonderful, talented and has great, up energy!

I have been a client of Dr. Gerstman's for around 3 years and I think I look better at age 45 now than I did when I was 35! Their microdermabrasion treatments have kept my skin clear and smooth and recently I have undergone Photofacial treatments that are erasing age/sun spots and improving my overall skin tone and texture. It's a freaking miracle. The general atmosphere in the spa is one of warmth and Leslie has a genuine quality of caring in addition to her medical and skin care expertise. If you've been nervous about getting that first Botox shot or just noticing that sag or bag and don't know what to do, give them a call!

Dr. Gerstman is a delight. She is very kind and professional, and instantly puts me at ease. What I really appreciate is her candor in discussing other treatments that I might benefit from. There were several products/services that I thought I might need, and Dr. G suggested that I wait. Her honesty was very refreshing. I've been to see her several times and see no reason to go elsewhere.

I have been to quite a few clinics in New York and have been rather dissappointed with one thing or another.
Since I have found Medical Aesthetics I am very happy with every treatment I decide to do with them and don't think I will ever leave them. I feel comfortable and taken care of by people who really care; are very skilled and professional. They sincerely are THE BEST !

I have been to dermatologists to treat my rosacea and none of the creams ever worked. I found Dr. Gerstman through online research and after her treatments (a package with one cost and no hidden fees) my skin has never looked better.
The treatment was well-explained during the consultation and I believe my visits will have long-term positive effects on my skin. I will definitely continue to use the recommended products as well.
I felt a real personal connection with Dr. Gerstman ~ she always gives individualized attention, takes her time with each patient (doesn't overbook), and I trust her. I also like that she offers botox and restalyne ~ as I age, I want to do so gracefully and would be nervous to go to someone I do not know/trust for these treatments. She is wonderful, very responsive, attentive and friendly. Highly recommended!

I have had IPL treatments before at a regular spa but it didn't really do much. I had the worst sun damage still so I figured i would try a medical spa. Wow!!!! I admit i looked a little scary right after the treatment. All of the spots got really dark. But then they turned into little scabs and fell off! It was very cool. and my skin looks so much better now
They ofer the treatments as a package that includes microdermabrasion and free products. So, no hidden prices which i really appreciated. Dr. gerstman even gave me some fish oil which has really helped with my eczema. Great place!

I have been a client of Medical Aesthetics since the begining. So, I obviously love the place. But one the most special things that I realized lately is how "real" the place is. Despite becoming one of the hottest spas in the city and having a celebrity following they are still the most humble people I know. Still high quality service, individual attention (no matter who you are!), and genuine honesty.
It's rare to find a "hot" place in the city without the attitude!! Keep up the good work Dr. G!!!

Since I've moved to New York I've tried a small handful of spas and clinics that provide treatments and care for the skin. Medical Aesthetics is the only one that I would recommend to friends or anyone. Having a great Esthetician is equally as important to me as having really good Dentist. Elsa is the one. While being extremely positive and reassuring during my treatment, Elsa took great care in explaining the procedures and products she used on me. Beyond the nonpretentious comforting service, the spa had extremely great energy. I am so happy to have found a one stop shop for all my skincare needs. The prices are average and thus reasonable, as you cannot get a powerpeel anywhere in the city for less than $100 and if you can, beware.

Medical Aesthetics is a breath of fresh air. It is a very private boutique spa down in SOHO. When I left I felt so relaxed and happy. The place just has such great energy. Dr. Gerstman and her medical aesthetician, Elsa, are just so nice and helpful. They seem so genuine. I never feel rushed.
They always make me feel special when I am there.

It is very time-consuming just to find out the prices for simple services. No prices on their website. They will require you to come in and pay for a consultation just to ask the price. This is a trick to get customers in.

I am so excited to finally find a spa in NY that has the CACI microcurrent system. I'm originally from the UK and the CACI non-surgical facelift is the hottest treatment there. All the celebrities and models get this facial. I'm also really impressed with the aesthetician Elsa. Her treatments were as good if not better than what I'm used to getting back home. They include ultrasound also. The prices aren't cheap but much cheaper than flying to the UK every month!!!

I followed my favorite aesthetician (Elsa Reyes) from Yasmin's, an UES spa, to Medica Aesthetics and I am so thrilled with the SoHo location. Since Elsa joined Med. Aesthetics, I've gotten some of the best laser hair removal treatments ever and my skin has never looked better- and that's saying a lot, since we're in the winter season! Anyone looking to pamper themselves in a chic downtown location while getting glowing results should definitely book an appointment here. Two thumbs up :-)

During the two prior weeks before my wedding my skin was a disaster due to all the pre-wedding STRESS! I had to find a quick repair before my big day and fortunately for me I was able to get an appointment at Medical Aesthetics with Ms. Elsa Reyes. Thank God! She treated me with the most advanced facials and lasers. Service was first-class and the results were rapid and amazing. My skin was radiant on my special day. Dr. Gertsman administered some Botox that made me look beautiful not stressed or "fake". This was a wonderful experience and I strongly recommend anyone who needs days of beauty and relaxation.

The myolift machine at Medical Aesthetics is really special. I've been to all the "top" spas in the city who do "remodelling facials" but this is totally different.

Right after the treatment you look tight and refreshed and not saggy and tired! I did the 10 session package and there is such a difference in my face from when I started. My eye brows sit higher, my checks look more defined, and I just looks so much better in general. This is a great treatment before a photoshoot or special event.

Her products are great as well. (and I've tried them all!).

I just finished 16 sessions with the Velasmooth laser for cellulite. I look so good!
This machine is soooo much better than endermologie and creams do nothing! The aesthetician was also so cool and made me feel really comfortable. They are also so accomodating. I actually look forward to seeing everyone each week. If you have cellulite, the only thing worth spending your money on is the Velasmooth machine.

I'm hesitant to let people know about my little secret but this place just has to get credit.
I'm a bit of a "spa snob". I've been to some of the "top docs" in the city who run these "medical spas". I have never been impressed. But doctor Gerstman has gotten it right. She provides effective results-oriented services in a spa-like setting. It is a true hybrid. The products are all physician strength, she employees medical aestheticians only, the facial are effective not just pampering, and it is an incredible private boutique atmosphere.

She also has a great injection technique. Very slow and meticulous. She is a real perfectionist and takes her time. No rushing. She is also a very sweet person.

I'm only 30 years old but I was starting to look so tired because of these dark circles under my eyes. I wasted more money on eye creams than one can imagine. So, my friend suggested I see Dr. Gerstman. She explained to me that I was starting to get "hollow" under my eyes. She used a product like Restylane to fill in the defect. After a few days of bruising I now look awesome!!
People at work now tell me I look like I got a good nights sleep!. I'm so happy.

Dr. Gerstman has the best skin care program. The laser treatment with microdemabrasion plus fabulous skin care products that work great and smell wonderful. I go monthly now for maintenance my skin has never looked this great. I love the way my skin looksits healthy, smooth and clear! The Medical Spa is a beautiful and relaxing place offering many services from skin care, anti-cellulite treatments, beauty and skin care products, make-up, fillers and much more. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Dr. Gerstman is extremely knowledgeable, warm, and caring. She is an amazing doctor that creates an experience that leaves you feeling and looking great. Dr. Gerstman has the best Acne program. I basically paid one price up front for the progam and she saw me twice a week for a month. She did everything! The laser, peels, microdemabrasion. And gave me these great skin care products that are fabulous. I have never had such clear skin in such a short amount of time. I really feel like she cared about me and wanted to help me. Now I see her monthly for maintainance and also because I really like going to the spa!!

But I have terrible ingrowns so my friend convince me to see Dr. Gerstman.
She's awesome!!! She's really cool and made me feel relaxed. She also used this great numbing cream which really helped with the pain. And 5 sessions later and I'm ready for summer!!!! Her staff is also wonderful

Dr. Gerstman gave me the most beautiful lips!! They are fuller but look so natural. I don't look like a duck! She also used novocaine which helped alot with the pain. I didn't even bruise. I just love my lips!!!

Dr. Gerstman is my hero!
Ok. First of all, she spent an HOUR with me going over my entire history and actually listening to me!! She even educated me on why acne occurs in the first place. It all finally made sense. She was also the first doctor to ask me about my lifestyle. (Yes, I love junk food a cheese! Apparently no-no's.) So, she came up with a customized plan for me. Acne laser, microderm, peels, topical products, supplements, and I met with her nutritionist, Barbara. Long story short... 1 month later and my skin looks great!! Even some of my scaring has faded. I really can't put into words how happy I am. I actually felt like the team at Medical Aesthetics
really cared about me. For anyone who is suffering with acne, you just have to see Dr. Gerstman and her team.

I found Sohos well kept secret here at Medical Aesthetics. Not only was my medical facial beneficial to my dull skin but the aesthetician was great. Sonia spoke to me about the facials they offered and then helped me pick one that was best for my skin. Sonia the aesthetician made sure I was comfortable at all times. She was very gentle that I almost feel asleep while I was under her care. I enjoyed that she recommended some products but wasn't pushy like other places I have been. When I told her that I was happy with another product from a different line that the office didn't carry all she told me was great then continues using it. I booked a standing appointment before everyone hears about this place and I can't get my facial. I felt like a celebrity the way I was treated.

This is by far the best medical spa in NY. It is a ""true" medical spa. Dr. Gerstman has created all of the treatments and performs almost all of them herself. She has one medical aesthetician, Sonia who is more knowledgeable about skin care than some doctors I've met! Dr. Gerstman't treatments are also really innovative. (ie. the "Myolift Non-Surgical Facelift Program"-she is the only one in NYC who does this treatment!) This spa is really one of NY's best kept secrets. I just love them!

I have since gone back for some additional age reverting treatment. I have had fillers(restylane) before at other places, and was hesitant to do again because it was painful. Dr. Gerstman took time to assure me this would be different. It was, she used a local anesthetic (novacaine) to decrease the discomfort in the lip area and injected slowly, which further decreases the pain. This time I had barely any discomfort and was able to tolerate more filler therefore improving the appearance of my lips!! All I can say is, this is not a "rush you in, rush you out" operation, Dr. Gerstman takes pride in her work - she is concerned with your comfort as much as the final outcome!

I just finished a series of peels at medical Aesthetics and I am so happy with the results. First of all...no pain!!! The peel was called the "Timeless Peel" and apparently it contains a high percentage of retinol. I definitely peeled a lot but when it was over (about 5 days) my skin was really plump and glowing. A did a series of 3 to get rid of some fine lines and age spots. And I would say there has been about a 90% improvement. (No such thing as perfection!) Oh, and the medical aesthetician, Sonia is the most knowledgeable aesthetician I have ever met. She's also a great makeup artist and got me hooked on Jane Iredale makeup. Ok, with the makeup I'm pretty close to perfect!!

This is a fantastic find. Dr. Gerstman is the kind of dermatologist that strives to make you look the best that you possibly can and her treatments have totally transformed my skin. She is personally and professionally committed to her work and to her patients. She is extremely knowledgeable, highly skilled and treats her clients holistically, understanding that a healthy system is the best way to support healthy and beautiful skin. The atmosphere is warm, supportive and open. Her staff is fabulous. This is a special place that I highly recommend.

After a few short and relatively painless sessions, I am free of unwanted facial hair. Dr. Gerstman took amazing care of me, and because of her expertise, I no longer spend time infront of the mirror looking for unsightly hairs that got in the way of my confidence. I exercised, ate well, and still had cellulite!!! Well, that was until I went to Medical Aesthetics. I tried it all, mesotherapy, endermologie, detox, wraps... All a big waste of money. I started reading about his new medical laser for celulite called the Velasmooth and then I found Medical Aesthetics. The program was intense, twice a week for 4 weeks. But I am sooooo happy! My skin is less bumpy, it looks tighter, no more saddlebags. I just can't say enough. I'm thrilled!!!

This is a must for everyone. Medical Aesthetics offers great services for all skin types. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. Also very knowledgeable about all the products. Dr. Gerstman is a great dermatologist she helped with my acne scaring and I am so thankful to her. She made my glow. After years of skin neglect and the accumulation of numerous lines, spots, and acne scars, my wife finally convinced me to do something about it. As a man who tends to sit around with his friends watching football, eating chips, and drinking beer, I put up a huge fight trying to avoid a place like Medical Aesthetics. But thanks to Dr. Gerstman and her staff, I could not have been made to feel more at home. Dr. Gerstman made my skin feel great and gave me special products to maintain that look.
