Len certainly delivers, as far as this closet metrosexual is concerned. I was sold after my first visit. Since then, upon entering the salon Len instantly remembers my name (and surprisingly a lot about me), let alone recognizes and greets me. Len gives the impression that the most important thing to him is making you look good. More importantly, I always leave with a great cut that requires little effort and looks cool. If you're looking for a great, relatively inexpensive ($50-60) haircut coupled with good atmosphere and friendly demeanor, this is the place for you.

i have been to many salons in nyc, but no where have i found such great results. i am
constantly getting compliments not only on my hair-cut but the color too. the staff are
professional and the atmosphere is warm and comfortable.

Leonard has been doing my hair for a year, and I've never received so many compliments in my life! People have actually stopped me on the street, in bars, restaurants, clubs and clothing stores to ask me who does my hair. In addition to the beautiful work he does with my hair - he is the sweetest, most caring person, He and his staff (especially Teresa) are the BEST!

well i went into the salon ready for a new change, i was really nervous about it because i hadnt done anything different with my hair in six years, and i had never been to this salon. i got there early and leonard offered me a glass of wine. leonard spent a lot of time discussing the style i envisioned before cutting away. he's a talented hairdresser and i was very happy with the results. leonard is patient,skilled, and fun to talk to, just what i look for in a hairdresser.. the only thing i wasnt too happy about was the price..when i called they said cuts start at 65 but they charged me 100.it would have been more professional had they told me that from the beginning ...so be careful about that .but overall i liked my haircut and would definately go back

Everyone who works at Leonard Golino does an excellent job of making you feel comfortable at the salon and as if you are their friend rather than a client. Lucia has cut my hair twice and always does a great job, in addition to giving me great tips about how to keep my hair looking good. Stephanie, who washed my hair, gave me the most amazing head massage of my life! I have paid almost twice as much at other salons for the same quality cut and atmosphere. I think I'll be sticking with Leonard Golino!

You can trust - really trust - Leonard with your hair. In the six months that he's been in charge of my tresses, I've been asked regularly by strangers where I go for cuts. That, and he and his staff couldn't be nicer. If you want attitude, you'll have to go elsewhere. If you want an excellent cut in a friendly place, Leonard Golino's is the salon for you.

I had tried all the top NYC salons: Bumble and Bumble, Vidal Sasson, John Dellaria, etc. 2 years ago I went to Leonard Golino on a recommendation from a friend, and got the best haircut I'd ever had. (At a much more reasonable price!) I've been going there ever since for my cut and blonde highlights. The thing that separates Len's work from other stylists is his ability to work with the natural fall of my hair so that I can keep it looking great in between visits. People are always asking me where I get my hair done and I happily refer them to the salon!

I have tried salons all over the city & I've never been as pleased as I have been with the Leonard Golino salon. I always have a great time while I'm there & I can never believe all the compliments I get after I leave! Leonard has done a fabulous job w/ my color & he's the only man I trust to cut my hair right.

I highly recommend this salon. The atmosphere is fun and energetic no matter what time your appointment. Leonard is fabulous and makes you feel at ease right from the start. Though I've only worked with Leonard, the rest of the stylists are fantastic and share his energy.

I have been going to Victor for a while now, and he is the best! I will never go to anyone else now that I have found him. Each time I go, I walk out feeling so good about my hair because of his incredible skills. Somehow, he makes my thin, flat hair look great and full of body by his expert cut and style! Although he will listen to whatever you want to do, I recommend trusting his expertise because he knows hair and how to make anyone look their best. Further, Victor is always so very nice, warm, and funny that I love going there to see him! Leonard and the entire staff also are all so sweet and fun, they make everyone feel so welcome and comfortable there. I HIGHLY recommend the Leonard Golino Salon and Victor!

I have had Leonard cut my hair for years and have always felt that I looked like a million bucks when I leave his salon. I recently decided to have some hightlights put in my hair and Leonard did an excellant job(of course!) I am so pleased. I tell anyone and everyone where I get my hair done and where they should get theirs done!! I will never need to go anywhere else!

I've been to so many salons in NYC that I've lost count. I was reading reviews on Citisearch and came across Leonard Golino salon and decided to take a chance. Boy, am I glad I did!!! I've been going to the salon for 9 months now and am very happy. Leonard is a fabulous stylist and colorist. He has given me the exact highlights I want - a cominbation of golden honey and caramel. And the cut is fabulous as well - long layers with lots of movement. Besides his superb skill, Leonard is warm and friendly and fun to be with - I feel like I found a friend as well as a stylist. Victor, Teresa, Al, and the rest of the staff are all so friendly as well. I highly recommend this salon - you will get great service and have loads of fun at the same time.

Leonard is truly an amazing stylist. I can go in with the worst hair and come out looking fantastic. He really works with you, but if you let him do what he thinks is best the results will really be spectacular. His color sense is unparalleled and his cuts have such life and movement. I have sent several friends to him already and they look better than I've ever seen them. For the price, he is an absolute steal. He is one of New York City's best kept secrets but he won't be for long!

Leonard is the best, nicest and funniest hair dresser I have ever had. I have lived in the city for 5 years and skipped around a lot to find that special someone (hairdresser). And finally I think I found the one! Leonard definitely has the skills to cut hair very well. On top, he's so friendly and funny. The salon has no attitude and they greet you with a glass of wine when you first sit down. The cut is not cheap, but definitely worth every penny, and better than some of the more expensive salons.

You walk in and know you can relax for an hour and come out looking fantastic. You will always return because of the quality. The owner is one of the nicest and funniest people to meet, and he will make a point to say hello to you. The rest of the staff are a colorful group. You walk in and feel right at home. A very Feel Good place.

Lenny has been doing my hair for the past 3 years and I would nver consider going to anyone else. He is very talented and I feel so lucky to have found him. His cuts are great , he is a perfectionist. I am constantly getting compliments on both the color and the cut often by complete strangers. The other stylists and colorist that works at Leonard Golina Salon are quite good as well. I always notice how great everyone looks as they are leaving. So do yourself a favor and go! It is also a fun time.

I just recently moved to New York and hadn't gotten my hair done anywhere in the city yet so I was looking for a new salon. A friend recommended Leonard Golino to me and I stopped in one Sunday afternoon for the first time. It was such a wonderful experience. They fit me right in, and the entire staff was so nice, they treated me like a longtime client. Martin was really sweet, he gave me a great cut and color and didn't pressure me to buy product at all (but I did anyway!) I've been back to see Martin twice since my first time and I don't plan on going anywhere else. Finding a new salon in a new city can be so difficult, so it's really such a relief to have found Martin at Leonard Golino.

Been going to this salon for a year and I've never been dissatisfied with Victor. I've never trusted a hairdresser more and he always wants to be sure that you're completely happy with your cut/color. There is no pressure to buy products. Victor will always try to squeeze you in-- no matter what. The price is right, the people are great, and the haircut is always perfect!

If nothing else can be said about the LEONARD GOLINO Salon, I CAN say the Staff, Atmosphere & Skill of the Stylists is EXCELLENT, SUPERIOR and INCOMPARABLE. I went as a result of looking on CitySearch...and the result was a FABULOUS CUT !! I had an amazing experience. RACHEL is an amazing stylist. She cuts with great precision & skill and creates with her scissor/razor blade. RACHEL is a cut above the rest, and believe me when I tell you I have been to MANY salons, Uptown, Midtown and Downtown and NOONE even comes close. The atmosphere is GREAT. The LEONARD GOLINO salon is a MUST for anyone who wants a precision and stylish cut, and a look that EVERYONE will compliment you on !!!

Ray was recommended to me by a friend to color and cut my hair. He spent time giving me a professional consultation before he started. I first went to LG when I moved to the area almost two years ago and I will never stop going there no matter where I move to next. I used to feel that getting a haircut was a drag but now I look forward to my every appointment at LG. Len really knows how to treat his clientele and is a master with hair. He goes out of his way to accomodate my schedule, always leaves me with a haircut I am proud to flaunt and a feeling that he really cares about making me happy. Len is an angel and a genius.

My hair has never been healthier or looked better ... since I found Leonard. Great stylist. Great laid-back atmosphere here and very convenient to get to in the heart of Chelsea. No snobby attitudes, even though you will get first-class treatment and style here. All the stylists are very skilled - you can't go wrong with any of them and they use great products to boot!

And the receptionists are a hoot.

I've had my hair cut & colored everywhere from Uptown to Downtown, B'klyn to Baltimore, and if you're stressed out and overdue, this is the place to go! Each time I walk out of the salon, I know I'll be receiving compliments on my hair the rest of the day (rather, until i give in to wash it myself). Give Len some scissors, a big brush and a hairdryer, and the possibilities are endless.
This is my favorite salon in NYC (and i've tried more than i's like to admit)- I've never been "not thrilled" with the results.

Finding a place to get your hair cut is a challenge- I have been going to the same place for years and my guy left. I stumbled across Leonard Golino- formally Bang and took a risk. I have never received such an amazing cut in all of my time here in NY. Leonard is highly recommended and Victor is an excellent colorist. The best thing is the price. I expected to breakout the AMX- but he was totally reasonable. Very laid back and trendy atmosphere- I will be coming back for more!

I was recommended to go here by a friend (who recommends all of her friends to go here), and I was very happy with the results. I saw Oliver, who was friendly, very professional, easy to talk to, and did exactly what I asked him to. I will definitely go back to him, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to my friends.

The staff at Bang takes excellent care of it's clientele, and works with you on an individual basis to make sure you leave looking fabulous! I've been recommending this salon for years, and it has developed a loyal following.

This place is great! Friendly, knowledgeable and energetic staff from the receptionist to the stylist assistant. The atmosphere at Bang is second to none, everybody has so much fun you never want to leave! I am definitely going back again and again.
