Obivia

I had my birthday party there last night and every interaction with the Obivia staff before and during the party was exceptional. Clare did a fantastic job and everyone at my party had an amazing time! Thank you so much!

I had an event on Thursday on July 3rd promoting my wedding planning business. I had approximately 20 guests. The staff at Obivia was so attentive, passing out hors d'oeuvres, asking everyone what they wanted to drink and making sure my guests were taken care of. When I walked in, they had, already prepared champagne glasses and the champagne was chilling. That was impressive. The ambiance, the look of Obivia was chic, classic and a little bit of the old world wrapped in one. This staff was very professional, cordial and courteous. My very good friend referred this place to me for my event. She was right about EVERYTHING! I absolutely love it and highly recommend it to everybody. I would like to once again Thank Claire who was the person in charge/manager of Obivia. She is a sweet heart and made us feel right at home. My guests were so happy and totally enjoyed themselves. The food was exquisite. The DJ was on point, nothing short of great. He played everything. We were grooving, dancing, jamming and singing along with the tunes. Listen, I can go on and on...Just go and see for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

I celebrated my 31st birthday here on Saturday and I am so very happy that I did. Upon entering Obivia you are greeted by the nicest and most pleasant hostesses. I had a table with a champagne bottle waiting for me. The waitress was very nice and so patient with everyone. She really made it a pleasure to be there. I was also greeted by Clare who helped me book a table for the party. Not only was she the nicest person on the phone, but she was just as nice in person too. All in all I have to say that the staff at Obivia is great and the drinks were good too. My party and I had a wonderful time and will most definitely do it again!!

My friends and I wanted to find some place new, and happened to stumble across Obivia. We're glad that we found this place! Excellent specials with very friendly and entertaining employees that helped the drinks keep flowing. A fabulous atmosphere made it exciting to show off our ridiculous dance moves. After stumbling out of the place feeling amazing, we knew we had found a place to come back to often!

Was in NYC for the weekend at the beginning of March and went to this place on a recommendation from a friend. We really had fun! The atmosphere was very conducive to hanging out - warm lighting, good music loud enough get you moving but not too loud to talk, great drinks (loved the spicy Bloody Mary and the drink in the pink cup that glows!!!) Tried some of the tapas - the date-bacon appetizers melted in our mouths, and the guacamole was excellent! But definitely try the chocolate fondue - it comes with fruit, brownies, graham crackers and tiny marshmallows...yum! The staff was attentive and friendly. The manager was very welcoming and we had a great conversation when he discovered we were from out of town. And the movies showing on various screens were visually entertaining - period pieces from the 70's and earlier. Make sure to use the washroom downstairs - it's worth the trip through the crowd to see the giant Buddha head and sense an undercurrent of atmosphere beyond the bar scene...I'm looking forward to meeting friends there next summer when I'm back in NYC.
