Theresa, the dentist's assistant, was awesome! She had such a pleasant personality, and really made me comfortable. She was extremely informative about my condition and the course of treatment. Who wouldn't want to be around her with that beautiful Hollywood smile! Theresa is like a diamond in the rough- a true gem to be treasured!!!!

I had a dental emergency and they got me in right away. Walking into the Dental Salon is like walking into any other salon-- it's beautiful! Dr. Kathy Valcarenghi made me feel special, cared for and totally confident in her expertise. I have already told friends about the Dental Salon and look forward to going back.

Dental salon is a dental experience like none other- i actually look forward to my appointments. I have had interactions with several doctors and hygienists and they have all been fantastic- efficient, professional and friendly. They explain everything so that you actually understand what is happening in your mouth!

My sons and I had our 1st dental visit at the Dental Salon on Sunday. The office is in a nice upscale, CLEAN, BRIGHT, AIRY space. Excellent hours. I was so happy to find there is parking available in the building. The staff members were really nice and friendly. Dr. Scott Overholser and his assistant made me feel really at ease. They answered all my dental questions. My boys really liked Dr. Sara Sheffield. Dr. Sheffield sat with us and discussed the boy?s dental care. I?m looking forward to returning for my follow-up treatments. It took me 18 months to find a dental provider who accepts my insurance plan, yet meets my high standards. I plan to refer all my friends to the Dental Salon. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

You've found your dentist for the rest of the time in the city. I've had some bad experiences at the dentist and was nervous about trying a new dentist, but the Dental Salon helped ease my fear and made my experience delightful.

Dr. Sheffield was my dentist, she was great! She was not only extremely nice but took the time to explain the procedures to me and was kind when answering any questions I had.

The price is resonable. They give you an estimate of cost and the front desk double checked my insurance to make sure I was covered.

If you are looking for a dentist, look no further, the dental salon is the place to go.

Had two terrific experiences, first for my cleaning, second for a cavity filling. Both times, I enjoyed prompt service (minimal waiting time) and excellent communication on the part of the receptionist, dental hygienist and dentist. It's clear they have a great culture there and train everyone thoroughly.

I even knew how much my fillings were going to cost ahead of time, so that I could anticipate my payment accordingly! I would highly recommend the Dental Salon to anyone looking for a positive experience at the dentist (and who isn't?)

This is by far, one of the best dentist offices I have ever been to. The staff is very friendly and appointment making has never been easier. Have a question about insurance coverage? They are one top of it!! They bring everything to the next level. I would recommend DS to anyone in search of a great new place to get your dental work done!

Apparently most people don't like going to the dentist or getting their teeth cleaned etc. I happen to like it! I feel so much better afterward. The staff at Dental Salon help make your whole dental experience a great one. As soon as you walk in the door.

Favi is the greatest!!! I do not want to go to anyone else! And Dr. Desai was wonderful and helpful!

I have been going to the Dental Salon for over 1 year. I have had a range of services from a crown procedure to fillings. I will say that both of the dentist I have seen, Dr. Gloud and Dr. Platson, were both phenomenal. We all hear horror stories about the dentist. The most painful portion of the procedures were the tiny pinches I felt from the needle filled with anesthesia, and trust me I have a low tolerance for pain. The ladies made the time fly by and always make sure that I was comfortable. I do not feel that any of the prices that I have been charged are to expensive. I do feel that I have always received quality service and I never have to worry if the person who is servicing me is competent. Not only do you receive great service, but the atmosphere makes the experice complete.

I've been going to the Dental Salon for 3+ years now. The staff is friendly and the place is very clean. It is very conveniently located as well. I also love that they have weekend hours since I travel a lot for work. I go to the Dental Salon at least twice a year for cleanings and they have always done a good job. I have recommended this place to a few friends and they have all seemed to like it as well. My only glitch with the place is that I've seen a few dentists over the three years instead of just having one dentist. While this has not affected the quality of work done, it would be nice to have continuity with one dentist.

I chose Dental Salon because it is easily accessible to public transportation and has late hours. When I went for the first time, I was surprised at how friendly and knowledgeable all the staff were. The place is clean, the equipment is high-tech, and they make sure you are comfortable 100% of the time you are there. I've never been to a dentist that has taken the time to explain in detail (including showing me videos) what is happening in my mouth.

I'm definitely very happy with the choice I made.

My daughter's wedding was coming up and I wanted to be able to smile for the pictures on this special day as I had promised her. My teeth were in bad shape because bad previous experiences had caused me to neglect caring for them. My daugthers recommended Dental Salon & from the moment I first walked in I felt comfortable. I felt that the entire staff had my welfare at heart. In a month's time I had major work completed and on the day of my daughter's wedding, there was her dad with the biggest smile - one I had not shown in years. I am continuing with my dental plan and care and I could not be happier. If you have ever had a bad experience or if you just neglected your dental care take my advice and make an appointment today at Dental Salon. You will be very glad you did - and you will smile!

I have the worst dental insurance on the planet. My "plan" dentists include an elderly man who yelled at me in Bulgarian until finally the janitor stepped in and convinced him I only spoke English (then he yelled at me for that), and a basement office with visible dirt on the floor and equipment, including flecks of blood and spit from the previous patient in the sink ... or maybe the previous year's worth of patients...I was so traumatized, I paid over $4,000 in cash for dental work this summer, because I figured no decent dentists would join my dental HMO. Then, out of money and having cancelled the family vacation to fund a root canal, I searched again, widening the zip code range. IMAGINE MY JOY when I entered the sleek, professional, up to date, modern, exceptionally clean, friendly, compassionate, affordable confines of the Dental Salon. I am still reeling from the shock that they actually honor my plan, and I have already had the pleasure of some excellent, painless new dental work and a very affordable whitening scheduled for next month. Parking is tricky, but there's a paid lot for the building. Seriously... even if you are far from the neighborhood, it is worth the trip. They will also individualize your treatment based on whether you have specific fears or preferences, and they have very accessible financing options if you don't have insurance. It's a collaborative and respectful practice... and it's also MERCURY FREE, which even today is still hard to find in this area. Visiting the Dental Salon feels more like a trip to a down to earth, welcoming, non-snobby luxury spa.

I have been a client from almost the time the Dental Salon started. Dr. Mark Morris, Dr. Scott, and the entire office was extremely friendly and accommodating. They listen to their clients and I feel their prices are affordable. They carry all types of insurance and make that part of the process seamless. Scheduling an appointment was never a problem and they call or email you to remind of your upcoming appointment.. They are very caring when working on your teeth. I feel that it is the best dentist I have ever been to. Their office is has the latest technology and is very attractive. The overall feeling is one calm and comfort. I am not fearful of going to the dentist, but if anyone has any fears or worries about going to the dentist, I would strongly reccommend going to the Dental Salon--you will find that you are in the best hands.

I've always disliked going to the dentist because even cleanings were painful for me, but Dental Salon has given me a new perspective. Dr. Wong and his staff made me feel very comfortable and at ease with everything. I went in for a root canal and wisdom teeth extraction few months back. The whole procedure was pain-free!!! The dentist gave me nitrous oxide and I don't remember the rest!!!

I first tried out the Dental Salon based on my girlfriend's high recommendation. I have been another time since. The first appointment was for a routine cleaning- I was impressed that everything was running on-time, even with the dentists performing the cleaning procedure, as opposed to the hygienist. I love that they frequently have appointments available before work as well.

The second visit I was equally happy with. This was a free consultation on veneers/crowns. Again, the appointment was on time and I was given good information to help me make my decision. WIth free validated parking too and good appointment times, I don't see any reason to search further for a dentist.

Only thing, they do get busy. So I try to make appointments really early so I don't get delays. Either that or bring a book.

I just returned from my third visit to the Dental Salon for the amazing $99 teeth whitening deal! I was in and out for the molds and received the trays later that same afternoon! I got plenty of whitening paste and am seeing amazing results already. I continue to be impressed by the professionalism, availability, and efficiency of this place.

This is my second visit to the Dental Salon for a routine cleaning, and again I am thoroughly pleased. I have since moved out of the city, but will still return every 6 months. Once you find a dentist/doctor that is as good as this, there is no need to look further. The Dental Salon is committed to excellent customer service- I even was emailed after my visit to see how things went! I was impressed that the dentist cleaned my teeth herself - I'm used to the hygienist doing the whole thing and the dentist just checking the job afterwards. The hygienist was great too- she gave me a demo at the end of how to floss properly.

I just can't say enough good things about this place, did I mention affordable prices too for those of us without insurance??

I think I'll be back for the $99 teeth whitening soon!

Dr. Scott and Kelly were wonderful. They made me feel welcome and took great care of me. They answered all questions that I had and gave me great suggestions based on my issues. Instead of pilfering me out of all my money, Dr. Scott even told me what was absolutely necessary and what would be simply up to me. I'm glad I chose Dental Salon.

I had problems with a few dentists in Chicago either selling me on things I didn't need, wasting my time by cancelling appointments, causing me to wait in the waiting room for up to an hour, or that looked dirty and unsanitary.

I've been going here for 18 months now and will never go anywhere else. They always get me in on time, The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and they never try to up sell me on something I don't need. And since losing my dental insurance that I had with my previous company, I look more closely at the cost of procedures and they are very affordable.

Having just moved from NYC where i've had way too much dental work in my life, i was thrilled to find dental salon. the offices are beautiful, the staff is lovely, informed, and kind, and my dentist was terrific - dr. weisz. He explained my treatment plan thoroughly and gave me several options. He understood that i have had dreadful experiences at the dentist before and took that into account. While i hate that i need a new crown, i am at least happy to have found dental salon to do the work going forward. I can't speak to all of the dentists there, but he was terrific. And i loved the folder with the pictures of my teeth to take home : )

When I came to Chicago a little over a year ago I was in need of a new dentist. I have had many dentists and I have seen good ones and bad ones. I found this dentist through the Internet and decided to try it given the great reviews. The location of a good dentist was less important to me. I would drive rom one part of town to another to ensure I have a good dentist, rather than a poor dentist that is easily located around the corner of where I live/work. And so, this dentist is a bit further for me, but it is worth it for me. To date I feel that my first pick was the right choice. So far I am very happy with this dentist and have absolutely no ideas about changing. I think one important aspect in my consideration is that at one point I needed two crowns. And my dentist, Dr. Scott, indicated that if was early enough I would not need a root canal procedure. I would do anything to prevent that, and it was obvious to me I had to have a crown. An old filling cracked a big molar. It was sooner or later. This very proactive approach has built confidence in me, saved me lots of money, and time and pain. So thanks again Dr. Scott!

The Dental Salon met all of my needs on the first visit. On the first initial consultation I had my teeth cleaned and inspected. Dr. Platson and her dental assistant are very knowledgeable and the service is top notch. After Dr. Platson?s dental assistant finished cleaning my teeth, I thought I had brand new teeth. Wow, the dental salon is the best dental office in the Chicago land area. I can?t wait to return to complete my follow-up visits. Don't wait any longer, this is the place to go for your dental needs.

Dr. Desai performed a minor miracle in my mouth, a root canal and filling a cavity all in the same sitting. It was done with minimal pain thanks to a nice dose of anesthesia. The shot didn't hurt. Afterwords the meds wore off, I could certainly tell I'd had a root canal, but the jaw pain is gone and looking forword to getting the crown in place. I've just found my dentist for life.

Dr. Harrington was easy to communicate with and was proficient in her job. She identified a problem with my filling that was causing pain without any knowledge beforehand. She did not pressure any services but was able to replace the filling on the same visit.
The teeth cleaning was of standard quality.
The patient care coordinator followed-up post treatment to make sure everything was okay with my visit.

I have been going to Dental Salon for several years. The friendly staff and beautiful office make each visit a wonderful experience. I am always pleased with the professional service I receive --- from not having to wait forever in the waiting room, to my cleaning by the dental hygienist to the dental exam.

As far as the office, the atmosphere is always quite and relaxing. The decor is cool, modern, and very clean, which is important to me. These are the same qualities that attract me to other services --- like spas, restaurants, nail salons, stores, etc.

I just had my last check-up this past week and must give a big SHOUT OUT to the hygienist, Favia, who did my cleaning. It was the best cleaning I've ever had!!! You know that feeling you get after getting a great hair color and cut or a great day at the spa --- That's how I felt after my cleaning. My teeth were cleaner and whiter than they've been in a long time without that stripped or chalky feeling. Favia was very thorough and gentle and she provided excellent dental hygiene advice. She makes me want to go back for more than my twice-a-year cleanings!

Having never been a fan of the dentist after bad childhood experiences, I put off a visit for 3 years. However, I needed to find one when I was in alot of pain and looked on yelp to guide me. I found Dental Salan on Yelp and chose it purely due to the great ratings and recommendations it received, as well as the convienience of location and hours.

Dr. Sheffield met with me and examined my teeth, she didnt make me feel bad even though she diagnosed a number of problems. They also took xrays and photographs of my teeth, so I could see the problems - there was no getting away from them!! They then discussed the treatment plan and showed me videos so I would understand what needed to be done. There was never any pressure to do the treatment.

So far I have had a root canal, filling and crown and still have more work to be done. They are great at fitting you in at short notice, provide you with the costs upfront - there are payment plans if you want to space out the cost, are lovely to chat to and make you feel at ease. I had a fear of needles and they were very accomodating of it and calmed me down more than one time! Dr. Sheffield and also her assistant Anna are lovely and very welcoming.

Another thing I like about Dental Salon is they follow up after your appointments and I was able to discuss my concerns with them after the root canal which took a few days to become painless. Their replies reassured me that what I was experiencing was normal.

Anyway, I am very happy with their service and have already recommended one friend who has now become a client.

I went in to have a crown replaced. I thought they would just replace it and send me on my way, but Dr. Weisz went over the treatment plan, photos and cost before proceeding. He was very considerate and efficient. I highly recommend him. The support staff is super helpful on the phone too.

My experience at Dental Salon has always been pleasant. Dr. Palella is knowledgeable about every aspect of dental hygiene, and he is always a pleasure to see. I was still seeing my dentist back in Indiana, a private dentist office, when I decided that making a trip back every (6) months was not going to be beneficial to me. I made my appointment with Dental Salon after being referred by my best friend. I was cautious because I have never known a dental office to advertise on T.V. before, and I thought it was a little odd. My experiences at the Dental Salon have always been positive and I have never had a complaint about any of my visits.

I met with Dr. Palella for my first appointment, and after my first visit I knew that I had found a dentist that I could trust. Dr. Palella takes the time to answer any questions that I have thoroughly. If you are looking for a dentist in Chicago I strongly recommend making an appointment with Dr. Palella or any other dentist at Dentist Salon. The office is always clean, and the staff are always ready to great you with a smile. The Dental Salon is a ?one-stop-shop? for all you dental and oral hygiene needs, so it is worth checking them out to see what they can do for you.

This was my first dental experience in the city of chicago, and I must say I was quite impressed. I had a 4pm appointment and I was seen right away by the dentist. All the staff were very kind, especially since I can have toruble with taking e-rays! Not only that, but they explained every procedure up front and during the process. Then if they recommended an additional procedure they explained that and worked hard to help keep the cost as low as possible.

I typically hate dentist visits but this place makes them about as nice as possible. They've got fancy tvs in some of the rooms showing Planet Earth so you're not bored. All the rooms that I've been in have windows and everything is well lit. They're more than willing to work with you just to make sure that the work gets done and your teeth don't fall out of your head. Also, they're great at explaining exactly what is going on and showing you specifically what they're doing and why they're doing it. The doctors and hygenists that I've had are all top notch with great chairside manner. Honest to god, I haven't met one person there that I don't like.

So yeah, obviously I'm a big fan, but no one really likes going to the dentist, so when you find one you like, it's kind of a big deal.

Very skilled and friendly practitioners. With such a large practice, you may not end up having a relationship with one dentist or assistant, but you can always be sure to get an appointment at a time that's convenient. You also don't spend much time waiting. Once they call you, you sit down and they get started right away. I appreciate the efficiency.

If you are looking for a new dentist, go to Dr. Scott at dental salon - he actually performs my cleanings and notes any potential "problems" for my teeth/gums - it feels good that a surely busy doctor can spend time with his/her patients and give that personalized experience. I was so impressed with the Dental Salon. The decor and the ambiance of the dentist was so chic, so modern, and so appealing. It didn't give the stingy and sterile impression that a lot of dentists will give you. The receptionists were friendly, helpful, and efficient. I loved my dentist-she was young, hilarious, and down-to-earth. She made me feel very comfortable and spent time talking with me before digging right into my mouth--literally. She made me laugh more than any other dentist, and it was hard to keep my mouth open and not talk to her in conversation. I was able to watch videos on some procedures that they wanted me to have done, received my teeth pictures in the case I wanted another opinion, and got an estimate for the procedures they wanted done. I was so impressed with the Dental Salon-I'm definitely going back!

After a few years of going to a cramped dentist office that was in the loop, I decided to look around and found the Dental Salon. The office is beautiful! And, seriously, they have the most comfortable chairs I have ever experienced in a dentist office. I recently met with Dr. Palella. He is very nice, thorough and made me feel very comfortable. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist.

Having "shopped around" for a dentist for four years since moving to the city, I finally found Dental Salon last year and have been a patient there ever since.

On one end of the spectrum was a dentist who painfully scraped away for hours at my teeth with devices that looked to be from early last century and charged be $500 on top of my insurance. On the other end is the dentist who cleaned my teeth for all of two minutes before declaring me good to go, and then didn't charge me my co-pay on my insurance. Dental Salon is the high point in the middle. While it's a bit more expensive than some other dentists I've seen, I have found it to be completely worth every extra penny.

The office is set up like a spa, which might matter to some people, but isn't really a big deal to me. Doesn't hurt, but isn't a big factor for me. What really matters is that my hygienists have always been fabulous - really thorough cleanings using the pressure washer and lots of information about areas that I'm not brushing as well in, what kind of toothbrush they recommend, etc. The dentists are also highly skilled and friendly and not at all weird. Dr. Liphoff did my veneers and I get compliments on them all the time (from people who knew my teeth before - anyone who didn't can't tell they're not my original teeth!) I absolutely adore my teeth now and find myself smiling all the time. I've also seen Dr. Palella who was also incredibly nice and spent several minutes talking to me about my teeth - not the usual "no cavities" and run I've gotten from the actual dentist most places.

So all in all, I completely and highly recommend Dental Salon!

they're open evenings and on weekends (even sunday) so they can always work around a tough schedule...and they'll really go out of their way to make sure everything possible is covered by insurance. really friendly staff and knowledgeable doctors who are constantly bettering themselves to help their clients! even conveniently located to the brown and red line!
