Frank Fat's is basically a poor man's version of PF Changs in the sense that it does not have as many chains. so let's review, Satchel and I came here and had heard mostly good things about the joint. Service was good, above average for most Asian places. As the night wore on though, our server appeared less frequently. One big negative is that this is yet again one of those Asian fusion type places that kind of bills itself as Asian but really isn't. so you kind of feel deceived right from the start. Pot stickers were luke warm which was not good. The food was really at best, okay and the prices were, how shall how I put it? Outrageously expensive. Just not a good value at all. You can find much more authentic food at a better price. Just not a fan of this place.

I get Frank Fat's once a year when I visit Sacramento and look forward to it the rest of the year. This is my favorite dining experience! I recommend the Honey Walnut Prawns- they are delicious (I refuse to share)!. The selection of wines is wonderful as well as the atmosphere and service. Take a drive down to L Street for a wonderful dinner experience!

I heard a lot of good things about this place, but when I finally went, I wasn't impressed. The service was very good, but the food was very over priced and kind of bland. I got a plate of chow mein, and it had a very strange sauce on it

Frank Fat's has been in Sacramento for years. I've heard people rave about this restaurant and how fantastic it was. My personal experiance was a little less that the reviews. The atmosphere was great but the food was on the "good" side. The price was a little steep in comparison to the quality of the food. I may try it again, perhaps it was just a bad day at the time.

I am passionate about Chinese food. I came here because I read the reviews and saw they had a "wild game" menu. But, upon actually ordering off of the menu, I saw everything was overpriced. I ordered tea, and it was out of teabags -

Pros: valet service for $3

Cons: overpriced, mediocre Chinese food

There are only about 2 dishes on the menu that were Asian inspired. I ordered the special which was Stuffed chicken with crab. I didn't find any crab only ham...My friend got the mahi and said it was very bland.

We had to wait FOREVER when we came here, even though we had a reservation! But, the staff tried their hardest to make things work out for us. I got to ride the wheelchair lift, and that was an adventure in itself. (I was with someone in a wheelchair.) The food is really great. The prices are not.

I'm starting to think that people around here in Sac don't know Chinese food. Frank Fat's is overpriced, considering you could get comparable if not better food for half the price. My mapo tofu was drenched in sauce, and my friend's

I love the decor of this restaurant and three-story levels. The ambience downstairs with the red lights is great. The food is always good, but portion size is small. Parking is limited.

Frank Fat's is pricey for chinese food but fabulous. Dark and narrow the restaurant is usually at capacity. It's all about the food - honey walnut prawns melt in your mouth, Steaks are great, and banana cream pie is good.
