Welcome to the nation's most historic square mile! In the heart of downtown Philadelphia Old City, 8 miles away from the international PHL airport, the Holiday Inn Hotel Historic District Philadelphia offers the best in Philadelphia accommodations! We are only 5 minutes' walk to the major historic attractions: Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, National Constitution Center and Betsy Ross House. Walk or take a short subway ride to Pennsylvania Convention Center.Visiting Thomas Jefferson hospital or Pennsylvania hospital? Reserve a room at the smoke free Holiday Inn Historic District Philadelphia in a safe neighborhood with 40 restaurants. Government offices within walking distance to Holiday Inn Historic District Philadelphia Hotel include US Federal Court House, IRS, US Attorneys office, Department of Labor, FPS, Social Security Administration, FRB, Department of Justice and DEA.
It's walking distance to the historical buildings (Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, etc) and shops and restaurants. Hotel staff/management and housekeeping were nice. But there was a lot of noise - rowdy hotel guests and street noise. And the wifi was slooow. I would stay at a nicer hotel if I ever go to Philly again.
Pros: Close to attractions and restaurants, Nice hotel staff
Cons: Noise, Internet

We stayed there using the weekend websaver fare found on the Holiday Inn website. We found everything to be to our liking, except that the front desk seemed to be totally understaffed. Rooms were clean, hallways were a tad dirty, but we had a nice stay, Probably would try another hotel the next time we go to Philly.
Cons: Understaffing
