New York-New York Hotel and Casino's innovative facades re-create the classic Manhattan skyline, complete with 12 New York-style skyscrapers that house 2,024 guest rooms. These interconnected structures are approximately one-third the actual size of New York City architecture. The tallest building replicates the Empire State Building at 529 feet, 47 stories. Other icons include a 150-foot replica of the Statue of Liberty; a Coney Island-style roller coaster, a 300-foot long replica of the Brooklyn Bridge; and a replica of the Soldiers and Sailors Monument. Unlike any other Las Vegas property, this themed hotel and full service casino re-creates the ambience and excitement of the Big Apple. The uncanny realism of the New York theme provides pizzazz, color and energy to the property's larger-than-life 84,000-sq.-foot casino.

Can't go to New York for the weekend?  5 Star Rating - World class

By Tyler L. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,152

Well then check out New York-New York in Vegas. It really creates that New York feel with the model buildings out front. The high light is the taxi-roller coaster which many people rave about. It usually has a long line so get your ticket first before you decide to go off and play at the slots or eat at the buffet. Also, check out Coyote Ugly if you get the chance, and yes ladies can/do dance on the bar if you are lucky enough to get up there. Like all casinos they have their own club card so it's best you sign up for it if you plan on playing a lot or visiting again. Overall it's a good place to check out, if not for the games then the NY style food and the roller coaster.

Old New York  4 Star Rating - Very good

By Jennifer W. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 116

The New York New York hotel really captures the old New York that everyone knows and loves. The slots are great and the restraunts are wonderful. With shows like on the broadway stage and a roller coaster that rocks, this is the best place to go if you want to get the experience of Las Vegas.

We had alot of fun at this hotel. The rollercoaster was awesome especially at night and in the front. It was amazing to walk into this hotel and feel like you were in New York City.

Sewers were perfect!  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

By Anonymous Opens in New Window

As soon as your walk you experience the tall building just like in New York. The "city" inside the hotel was really cute. It had meat stores and deli's just reminded you of city streets. The sewers had smoke coming out of them like in New York. The roller coaster was really awesome. You could see it on the outside of the hotel and in the inside. The rooms were very nice and the rooms service was pretty fast. The coyote bar was so cool. It felt like you were in the movie Coyote Ugly!

RUDE 3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

By torriesue

I reserved a room online and when we checked in and went to our room, we found cigarette butts in the ashtray and the bed messed up like someone had been sitting on it. I had ordered a non smoking room as I am allergic to smoke. I also ordered a king size bed and got 2 queen size. We go back to check in and tell them about it and the guy working was not going to give us a new room!!!! He was very rude and said we would not get a king size bed. We asked to speak to a manager. The guy came back and said we could change rooms. We got what I reserved online. On check out, we told the guy working and he made a note of it. Don't know if that would do any good or not. Beds were comfortable in the room and I have a hard time with beds. The casino was ok. It was good walking distance to anything else we wanted to see.

Pros: good food
Cons: rude when we checked in

Cool place to stay once... 3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

By Carlosbob

My girlfriend wanted to stay at NYNY, so I booked. The price was pretty decent for the strip (100/nt). The rooms were ok, neat, clean but my GF kept complaining about the beds being uncomfortable.

There are a lot of cheap food choices here, but my fav was 9 Fine Irishmen. Irish pub with decent food, good beers, and excellent service. The waitresses' uniforms did not hurt either. Ben & Jerry's was convenient and great as always. Il Fornaio and America were decent, but better food could be had by walking to MGM or Monte Carlo. The only breakfast buffet was at Chin Chin, with an Asian twist.

NYNY was all over location. It's centered in the south strip, across the street from MGM and next door to Monte Carlo. Excalibur is across the street, but I only used it to pass through to Luxor and Mandalay Bay.

Next time I will definitely skip the spa services at NYNY. Their spa is small and overpriced for the amenities. Also, the guy on the men's side was kind of rude.

Pros: Service, 9 Fine Irishmen Pub, location, Zumanity
Cons: Average in every other way, our room views were awful

Crowded - just like NY NY! 2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

By newstome

This property is very crowded, just like NYC. Also, if you are traveling with a group, be aware that the various towers are not easily accessible to each other. If you are visiting room to room, you will spend a lot of time on various elevators, etc. The pool is small and crowded. On the weekend, you'll be lucky to get a lounge chair and even luckier if you aren't bumping elbows with the person next to you. Wait staff service at the pool is lousy -- be prepared to get up and get it yourself. The piano bar is fun. If you want to be close to MGM and Mandalay Bay, this property is a good choice. If you want to spend time up the Strip at Bellagio, Caesar's, Wynn, Fashion Show, etc., wear walking shoes or plan to take taxis - it's a haul. The rooms are small and nothing spectacular. If you're staying here for price, try Mirage or Paris instead. Better location, better property, similar price.

Pros: Cheap property on the Strip
Cons: Crowded, not a good value

ESPN ZONE is Money 4 Star Rating - Very good

By truman0nine

I reallly enjoyed that ESPN Zone they have there. I'm a big sports guy and if your looking for a place to crash and don't like to walk much this is the place. Right around the middle of the strip. Vegas is all about exploring so don't spend to much time at your hotel!

Pros: ESPN ZONE
Cons: More of a family Hotel
