House of Brews

Hmmh !. I had the pleasure of an evening here recently and although it wasn't my first time here it was by far the best. A knockout social event without a doubt., this bar caught my attention because of the great beer selection but last week I met and mingled with some regulars who are also neighbors of mine ! and I was amazed at the interaction between staff and customers here. That's what makes a good place great. Food is solid, drinks are resonably priced and I'd give this place an overall 10. Hopefully someday I'll bump into grumpy pants that wrote the last review !.

Pros: Neighborhood feel.

WOW this is the sort of place that i could call a local bar if it was not as crowded. friendly staff and a huge selection of great beers. looking forward to my return.

Dropped by this place on the way home from work and was really impressed. The waitress was very attentive and friendly, the snacks were good and the selection of beers hard to fault. The place has a nice relaxed atmosphere too. Glad to have found a nice local.

Great selection of beers. Good bar food. Service sub par - even for an area that totally caters to the theatre crowd and tourist. I was there with a very attactive female friend and the service was almost non existent. I can understand them ignoring me (a middle aged male) but come on - a nice looking lady with any empty glass....hello!!!!

They have a great burger! The coldest beer, and a fun crowd. This is a favorite of mine since I live in the area!

This was a nice place to meet up with some old freinds. The service was a bit slow at times, but the atmosphere was cozy and not dank. Looking forward to going back.

I just moved into an appartment on West 46th street and after unpacking some stuff, my boyfriend and I went excitedly on the hunt for a beer and a burger. We went to an Irish place on the block, not so friendly !!. Then tried the house of brews. Fantastic !. Great athmosphere, great bartenders, and really great beer and burgers. Going back on Tuesday for two for one stellas !.

I stopped here after work... I got lucky because their beers were a dollar off! The bartender was very patient and helpful when I couldn't decide what kind of beer I wanted. There were too many to pick from! After testing a few, I settled on the Kona Longboard and was delighted. Great place to go if you love to try new brews.

I love Restaurant Row on 46th street and this bar is a great addition to such a famous street. The friendly staff here and extra attention given to myself and my husband brought me to right this review. Also the waitress suggested that I might !. Keep up the good work.

We got great frozen mixed drinks for $4 !. I couldn't believe it. I't now our regular stop, the last place we used to hang out at charged us $8. Go Get your own !!!. Look out for me (tall blond, short skirt , drinking a Pina Colada !) and if you see me, send a drink over. xxxxx Jen.

What a find! In Hell's Kitchen on a street crowded with restaurants and bars. It's not crowded. It's super friendly. It's not too loud. And they allow you to rearrange the furniture. Drink Club had a crew of a dozen with no reservation and there was no problem. With a ton of specialty beers you never heard of, what more could you want? --Drink Club is a roving group of NYC drinkers

Comfortable, safe, fun, great food, big party platters for my group. Lots of different beer to choose from. Overall very nice, good for happy hour after a long work week.

That guide can be on the mark sometimes. Great service and tons of different beer, I had Hoegaarden from Belgium and I tried a beer called Winter Warmer from Harpoon Brewery up in Mass. The waitress (who was so cute) told me it known as Christmas in a Bottle because of the added Cinnamon and Nutmeg. I can's fault this place and I will make it a regular stop as it's right in my part of town.

Great party last night. Very good German food (complimentary) and 2 for 1 Octoberfest beer all night. They have 4 different types of Octoberfest beer, cool.

My favorite thing about fall is Pumpkin Ale, this bar serves it on tap. Lots of info about the beer too. They know their stuff.

Great place to hang out. The waitstaff, Shona in particular, were freindly, knowledgable and greatly contributed to the enjoyable time spent there.
