The food is very good, but the attitude is so bad that I'd rather support establishments that make food that does not taste as good but puts at least some effort into customer service. For a list of the top 10 restaurants

The food was great! and loved the drinks. They push the famous Avacado on you, but it was worth it. Would go back, but have to say prefer west side locations, the crowd here was a little too Bridge And Tunnel here for me.

We went to Dos Camions a few days ago for dinner. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly, as was the rest of the staff. The guacamole was quite good as was the prickly pear cactus frozen margarita--their specialty. The chilean sea bass and chocolate torte dessert were EXCELLENT, though the grouper could have been better. Dos Caminos is great for a pleasant dining experience.

The Food was good as always (this is my 5+ time dining in one of the chain locations) however the music was loud - (to my mother's opinion) as we went for dinner on a friday... they want to be hip and attract the young crowds...

What a trendy Mexican restaurant. I know it is probably not going to have the most authentic Mexican food here and most likely overpriced but it is fun to join the trendy crowd and get some delicious guacamole.

I have a good experience. Ordered the sirloin steak tacos that came with mashed beans and some rice. It came in 3 soft shell tacos, tiny but flavorful. The bean and rice were just average.

This place is great. The atmosphere is classy, but comfortable and their booths are intimate for small parties. The guacamole is a definite must. Although there are not many choices for vegetarians, their seasoned french fries are tasty and unlike any I've had before. Be sure to try their fondue as well as their hot chocolate churro shots. They are good desserts for a complete meal.

My favorite mexican restaurant in NYC. The guacamole is made fresh at the table and according to how spicy you like it. Short rib tacos are accompanied by unbelievable mexican street corn! To top off the meal, try the cosmo del diablo, a mix of juices with pepper-infused vodka. The service is great and so is the atmosphere.

I have been here several times, and the food is always awesome. They have delicious guac made tableside and the margaritas are always fantastic. Try the dos enchiladas....the mole and verde sauces are amazing. Other notable menu options are any of the taco plates and the cochinita pibil. This is a fun place to go with a group, but I did once have to wait almost an hour for a table even though I had reservations, but I considered it worth the wait.

Went for restaurant week earlier this year and had a disappointing experience. We were sat in the back, which is fine for me, but while the restaurant was empty, two couples were seated in the adjacent tables (1 1/2 feet apart) while the rest of the room remained empty. Twice couples asked to be seated somewhere else and were granted this request, but they just kept trying to fill the adjacent tables. My girlfriend and I both ordered the steak for an entree, which was tough, rubbery, overcooked and smothered in an unpleasant attempt at a mole sauce. Furthermore our waiter just seemed uninterested in our experience. He came, took our order and he delivered our check. Great in a diner, not in a NYC restaurant. Never asked how our food was, never checked to see if we wanted a drink refill, nothing. Don't bother going, it's all hype.

I absolutely love mexican food and this is definitely a good place to get some. We were seated almost immediately, although we went on a busy night. Our waitress was friendly and smiling. The menu is good - a lot of options to choose from. One negative - the chicken I ordered was extremely spicy (for me) and I remember drinking a lot of water along with eating many tortillas not to feel it. The Sangria we got was delicious! A good dinner for to with the drinks comes up to $125, but it's well worthed.

OMGosh! The guacamole is to live for. I'm from Dallas, Tx...the home of Tex-Mex...and every time I come to the CITY, I'm at Dos Caminos! When I had the guac three years ago, I came back to Dallas and tried 13 Mexican Restaurants and found no one came close to the guacamole served at Dos Caminos...so twice a year when I'm in the CITY...u guessed it, I'M THERE! The Prickly pear margaritas are delightfully tasty. The fish tacos are awesome and atmosphere is charming and full of life. I heart Dos Caminos & NYC! it

I ate at Dos Caminos with friends of the family and a couple of them did not know what they were in for. This is not a restaurant for people who've never heard of a mole sauce.

The prices were a little high, but the atmosphere is very cool. Hammered copper walls and glass and candles: pretty romantic stuff.

I thought the food was very good, and it wasn't maybe on the smaller side as far as today's portions go.

The fun part was getting the guacamole made at your table, at least if you don't already know how to make guacamole. They have varying degrees of spiciness and the cilantro is optional. They make it in a stone pig right at your table and it is served with fresh, if not greasy, tortilla chips.

It is a pretty bumping place, you're probably not going to be eating there alone (or able to get a table) after 8 or so.

I had fun, and the wait-staff is very accomodating (took back an order of lobster something-or-other for extreme saltiness) and knowledgeable. We actually saw a group of the hot, young, new servers doing a tasting of all the items on the menu.

Margaritas were the best I've ever had. Also they have awesome Quesadillas. Their service was good and accommodating, sometimes a bit slow but we got what we needed eventually. Definitely eat outside- inside I didn't really like - the downstairs area- is the pits. Go on a hot summer night weekday and get a table outside?it was really nice.

Hands down, the BEST margaritas in New York...they can run around $12 a pop, but they're incredibly tasty and chock full of tequila! Guacamole is to die for, as are most of the dishes I've tried. The service? It can be pretty pretentious, which I think is r-i-d-i-c-u-l-o-u-s...in any restaurant or bar. Your customers make or break your restaurant. A mistreated, unhappy customer= gossip through the grapevine. And I doubt any restaurant wants to be known as having 'poor service.'
