Delicious
We just love Chompies bread. I have been buying it for quite a while and we think it is the best bread ever. Usually I only buy the Multigrain and an occasional rye. BUT it is absolutely delicious!
My only suggestion to Chompies would be to see if some of the Prescott stores would be willing to carry it unsliced and let the store slice it as they slice thinner. But it is not enough to make us stop getting it!

Love your bagels
When ever we have a special celebration at work I always stop at Chompies for their fresh, delicious bagels and cream cheese spreads. Everyone enjoys them so much. Lunch at Chompies is great. Prices are very reasonable and portions huge. Black and White cookies are special - I had to try them after seeing an old episode of the Jerry Seinfield show.

great jewish deli
I love coming to eat here. They have great traditional Jewish meals, their matza ball soup is absolutely fantastic. I also recommend their corned beef sandwhiches. Their desserts are really what get me though. Huge selection of pastries, rugulah and cookies, all of which are great tasting. Very traditionally jewish.

New York Deli in Phoenix?!?
Yes! And it's awesome!First of all, don't let the pastries on display to the right of the entrance scare you away. Sure, you might acquire 100 calories just looking, but have lunch or dinner first! It seems every time I've gone (I don't live in Phoenix anymore), my server is a native New Yorker. It only adds to the ambiance. So does the New York mural that surrounds you on the walls.First off is the pickled appetizer. One comes to every table, and it's a nice sampler. The entree selections are many and varied, but I just want to talk about my favorite sandwich, the "Jersey Bound". A double-decker of pastrami and corned beef on great Jewish Rye with Russian dressing and cole slaw, this is one of those sandwiches that makes you wonder if you'll have to unhinge your jaw to take a bite. but, take that bite. It's amazing. Served with steak-cut fries, I'm not shy to ask for a to-go box so I can finish it the next day...or maybe just later!Chompie's also does take out and catering, and has a full deli counter...plus that pastry counter. There are also an abundance of flavors of bagels and bialys, as well as several selections of cream cheese to accompany them. And the lox? Fageddaboudit! It's fantastic!OK, time to go plan my next visit to Phoenix, now that the weather is nicer!

Chompies
This is the best place to get fresh bagel sandwiches, awesome liver and onions, and great pastries. The menu is extensive and everything is always good. Service is not very attentive and sometimes is pretty slow. The food makes it worth it.

Nostalgic bread
I live in Prescott,AZ for now and all I know of Chompies is their bread.
I used to eat Miltons but not any more! I can't get enough of the Jewish rye and the multigrain! Swiss cheese, pastrami or even chicken with mustard on Jewish rye takes me back to my childhood in Philly around the 50's! Love those seeds!
Anyway, "It's Da Best"!!

Amazing deli, Especially recommend the pastrami
So many great options it's hard to order because they are all so good. The service is great, but the food is what makes this deli a great place. The deli sandwiches have the meat piled high like you get at the Carnegie in NYC and leave you full and satisfied. The western sliders are also one of my favorites.
Pros: Great Food
Cons: Price

Wonderful breads. Great pastrami, brisket, corned beef, etc.
The staff is friendly and great and, boy, do these guys really know their sandwiches!! I think they bake the bread that they use for the sandwiches because the rye tasted like it was straight out of the oven. It was absolutely delicious. I had the Brooklyner which is a triple decker sandwich with Pastrami, Brisket and Corned Beef and I went back like 4 nights in a row because I got addicted. Its humongous so be forewarned. These guys definitely don't skimp you on portions! I'm an observant Muslim and I broke my Ramadan fasts in the evenings at this place. We all got a kick out of a religious Muslim breaking his Ramadan fasts at a Jewish deli :) Peace in the Middle East right here at Chompie's! Seriously though, you will certainly LOVE this place.
Pros: Staff is friendly and food is delicious!
Cons: Gets super busy at lunch and evenings which can cause waits.

good matzo ball soup though too salty.
Breakfast "french toast" dry, maple syrup cold. Coffee weak but hot, cornbeef hash with potatoes and eggs: do not order. Food portions were overwhelming.

Brooklyn Bridge
Oy! This is NOT the vanilla Phoenix Chompies I visited a dozen years ago. Several things bowled me over here. First, the mature Jewish clientele. (I hope I can get by saying that since I grew up a nice gentile boy -what happened? never you mind! - in Sheepshead Bay). Anyway, you walk thru the door, you're halfway to Bensonhurst.
Second, bakery case much bigger than Karsh's. Cant vouch for anything yet except the chocolate eclairs, but the case looked amazing.
The pastrami makes, as they say, a very nice sandwich and the missus thoroughly enjoyed her kosher combo plate. My 11 year old baptised bubbala settled for his usual turkey sandwich. Goyishe kup. Heck, I was so giddy, I even ordered an egg creme!
Pros: Brooklynesque, full deli, huge bakery selection
