Red Square at the Mandalay Bay Hotel is one of the must see on your trip to Vegas you have to order one of the specialty Martinis and then sit it on their bar completely made of ice. EXCELLENT!!

This is a very fun place to eat. The food is not expensive at all. It is at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and after dinner you can stay for the dancing at the night club. food is excellent and as always, service is superb

I have visited the Red Square 2 or 3 times. They have the best Sputnik Martini. The bartender mixed all our drinks and poured them all out at once. Very entertaining. I always make a point to go visit The Red Square, whenever I am in Vegas.

Ate here while staying at the hotel. Ordered Lamb and it was cooked perfectly and tasted good. They have a vodka bar to go with the theme and it is a popular dining location. Good service.

Great Drinks - Fair Food
by Squid42
I wish I could do two reviews on Red Square. The first review being on the food, and the second review on the drinks (bar). My wife and I have been to Red Square a couple times, and the bar has some of the best drinks around with the bartenders also being very good. The food on the other hand is not very good. I really was disappointed and have had far better meals elsewhere. I ordered Chicken Kiev, and it was very dry and not too flavorful. Our server was very good though and that helped salvage a not so good tasting meal. I would give the food a 2 star rating and the drinks a five star rating. Overall 3 stars.
Pros: Great drinks
Cons: Fair food

Russian? Are you sure?
by mika68
OK...let's have this straight - there is nothing Russian about this restaurant besides beheaded Lenin's sculpture at the entrance, Chicken Kiev and vodka. Service was fine, it is just a wrong concept.
Anyway, for anyone considering to open a Russian restaurant in Vegas - go for it, there is NO competition!
Pros: Attentive service
Cons: Don't call it Russian, food is lackluster

Just a very cool bar.......
by karlsegura
If you don't have patience to wait in line at the bar don't go, but this place may be my favorite Vegas bar. It's not very big which contributes to the waiting in line but its well worth a few minutes of your time. Great selection of Vodkas and just a cool place to check out. I have dined at the restaurant several times and I also recommend trying it.
Pros: Unique, great vodka selection
Cons: Small, difficult to get a drink

Butthole Waiter - dark hair, goatee, and glasses
by ummm_sweets
I sat at the table waiting for a server for 20 minutes. (Actually we watch the server walk around ignoring us for 20 minutes). I had to ask him twice to come take our drink order. After bringing us our drinks, we never saw him again. So after another 20 minutes, I chased him down for the bill. I asked him for the bill three times. (This is not him coming to my table. This is me running around the restaurant trying to find him so I can pay my bill.) So he brought the bill. I paid in cash and walked out with my girlfriend. He chased out after us accusing us of not paying!!!!! I asked him if he had check the table if I had paid and that I will go back to the restaurant and check with him. He then said (ironically) ?It?s okay, I TRUST you.? He is a dark haired man with a goatee and glasses. If he comes to your table as your server, get up and walk out.
Pros: Bartenders were nice. Provided more service than the waiter.
Cons: worst service on the strip!

amazing food
by paranoidpyro
i've been here multiple times and it's a pleasure to dine here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. the food was prepared amazingly. Foie gras is wonderful. the steak was done to my liking. the lamb is great too. The caviar is awesome. The decor is fun and trendy and also a great thing to stare off at. I can't wait to go again.
Pros: food service ambience

Slightly depressing ambience and food was okay
by lvp
I had heard a lot about Red Square, mainly about the vodka locker, but was frankly kind of disappointed with the dinner I had there. Food was okay, ambience was slightly depressing because the furnishings looked kind of shabby and run-down. Just go for drinks. The martinis are quite good, but very strong.

Best Martini in Town at the Coolest bar
by delany13
It's ceratinly easy to see why The Red Square at Mandalay Bay has the coolest bar, it's made completly of ice. That said, the service is great, and the drinks are wonderful. The only problem I have with this place is that the bar area is too small for the number of patrons waiting outside the door for the doors to open. Another plus though is the strong drinks! The husband and I shared one lest we go over our limit for martini's! I would recommend that every martini lover stop here at least once while in vegas.
Pros: Great Ice Bar- a must see. Great drinks!
Cons: Small bar area. Doesn't open until 5- in Vegas???

Have a Martini or White Russian the way it is supposed to be!
by vegasj
Ice laden bar helps keep the martini of a lifetime cool but, you won't need it. The drinks will go fast because they are so well made. The white russian comes with a red square and a large man sized glass. The martinis speak for themselves. Great for out of town visitors and locals.

Very cool place to wear black
by turbodiesel
We stopped in for a couple of drinks, a Chernobyl (great Russian history engulfs the place), to be exact. At $13 a drink we walked out pretty tipsy. It was well worth it. The bar was pretty much packed. It's too bad they didn't have a larger section, it was the best spot!
Pros: everything was red, great vodka selection
Cons: lots of men, not enough women

Cool Place
by stooks
The bar is the coolest feature of the place. Alot of seating at the bar, but I had to stand because there were alot of people. Good drinks. A comfortable place to drink, and away from the "cool" crowd.
Pros: The Bar, Drinks
Cons: No seats, Price

horrible expensive food, not russian at all!
by annmat2
I am from Russia and I really wanted to experience russian food while in Las Vegas. My and my american husband's favourite russian dish is Beefstroganoff , so I ordered it from the menu that actually seemed the only russian on their list. When they brought it it was as if you call a hamburder filet mignon!!! Shredded beef with pearl onions and sour cream on the side instead of sour cream sauce! We left luckily without paying for that crap! The cocktails on the menu had russian names like Chernobyl! They sell cheapest russian vodka there for 200 bucks! Overall, if you search for good russian cuisine, this is Not the place to experience it!!! If you are russian craving for russian food ,you would just get mad at the absurdity of prices and ignorance of the dish selection and cooking!
Pros: "warm" interior, big drinks menu
Cons: crowded, very little entrees m

low-class across the board
by miked9999
I went to a friend's birthday dinner for 10 at Red Square. One of the waiters spilled a tray of drinks on one woman at the table, and wrecked her purse. The manager was rude to her and didn't offer to comp anything, let alone pay for her purse! After the meal, he was very argumentative when we noted that we were charged us for food we hadn't ordered! He then said to the woman: "I already gave you your dinner and all of your desserts for free, what else do you want me to do?!" But he had actually charged us for the dinner and the desserts. He was not again not apologetic for being so rude to us.
Overall we spent $550 for dinner - this is probably the worst service I've ever had for this class of meal. I would discourage anyone from eating at Red Square.

Pros: atmosphere, great selection of dr
Cons: food average

very unvegas
by tallawa
this place felt more like something in Chicago, San Francisco, or an equally cool urban area, wasn't the vegas flashy facade-y place... we didn't eat, were a little disappointed the kitchen closed at midnight as it was such a great place to sit and drink. He had a vodka flight that had him happy as a clam, I had two bolshevik bellinis made with peach vodka (yum). We sat at the ice covered bar (very cool) the bartender was very friendly and knowledgable...
Pros: atmosphere, staff

Dinner Pork was tender
by wallstpup
I had the filet mignon with cheese. It was prepared perfectly. It was undercooked but they fixed that quickly. The cheese was too thin. Not nearly enough for such a steak. The sauce and presentaion were right on. Now the find was the pork slices. It was the best pork I ever had. Tender and full of flavor. It was as good as the steak if not better. The pork dish is not served everyday. The service was snappy although our table was uneven and rocked from side to side. I guess the effect is to make you feel you really were in Moscow. The prices are a bit much considering the whole experience.
Pros: pork, the bar
Cons: price, noisy

Great!!
by wickednwild
Significant other and I went there for a nice romantic dinner and we weren't disappointed. The service was great. They were out of the wine we ordered but the sommelier advised another one, ended up being wonderful. I had the Beef Stroganoff which was just awesome. Spinach salad had a great taste to it. Not being a fan of either mushrooms or seafood I must say that the portabella mushroom with crab was outstanding. I made the mistake of ordering the ricotta cheesecake which was extremely dry. Thinking maybe some rasberry sauce over it would make it perfect. I helped him finish off his caramel creme brulee though...yummy!! Would definitely go back even though the bill totalled a little over $300 with 2 cocktails, bottle of wine, two salads, appetizer, main course and dessert. But I must say those cocktails were pretty strong. Would've loved to do the vodka flight.
Pros: Lighting, Cocktails, Service
Cons: Little loud

Great Atmosphere
by otternam15
Great experience in dining, not for the perfection of the food or service, but for the experience of the atmosphere. Dishes are continental european, but are diverse enough to satisfy all. Good sized portions. Dinner for 2 with drinks and dessert should run $150-200 w/tip, which makes it more of a special event. Go early then walk next door to RumJungle for after dinner entertainment. Not perfect, but perfectly enjoyable.
Pros: atmosphere, menu, VODKA!
Cons: , always busy

Red Alert for Vodka Lovers!
by aka_tus
A vodka bar with a Russian theme and an ice-topped bar, this place was awesome! I'm not even a big vodka fan, but this place mixed some of the best martinis I've ever had. From a seemingly endless variety of international vodkas to vodka martinis to vodka fusion drinks (you've got to try the veggie infused Absolut Peppar!), the drinks here were awesome, and the bar staff did a great job making sure that everyone had a drink and was having a good time. Definitely a place you should check out the next time you're in Vegas.
Pros: hip, attractive room, great bar staff, awesome drinks
Cons: on the small side, not open at 9:00 am

Good starting spot
by kurant
The variety of vodkas here makes this a must stop for me. Step up to the "ice bar" and get a martini. Good crowd, usually younger in the early hours. Good place to meet if you are going to Rum Jungle or House of Blues.

Relax and Chill
by kailuakoana
With the amazing amount of Vodka to choose from I must say, being the non-drinker of the group I still enjoyed the best Virgin Bloody Mary I have ever had.
The ambience was most enjoyable. My friends tried the sample block of the Vodkas and found it to be a great way to try such a nice selection. I did try a sip of their rasberry martini. Awesome. The ice bar is pretty cool!! (hahahint).
We were a bit disappointed by the food menu. We were hoping for more authentic Russian cuisine. The choices seemed quite American - steak house, not Russian. What we did order was prepared average.
Still, I would recommend it just for the enjoyment of the atmosphere and the cream cheese stuffed green olives which our server made sure we had plenty of. Go for drinks, skip dinner.
Pros: Excellent Vodka, Stuffed green olives, Atmosphere
Cons: Average food

You're gonna love it and fit so well in here. It is a "mixer" place and you'll still find class in this place. Tovarich!

It is what it is... A Martini bar.
by deke_nj
I enjoy a quality martini, made as asked, and decent service. This is what I got at Red Square. I dug the decor, and lighting... and it was a nice break from the Rum Jungle, next door. My pals and I used the Red Bar as a kick-off to a long evening - and as a spot to finish our evening with. The martinis were solid. As far as the clientele - I apreciated the fact that the 20 somethings, as well as the need-to-be-seens, came in and then left. The crowd seemed to be pretty chilled out and cool, and doing what my friends and I were doing... enjoying a good martini, laughing and meeting people, enroute to somewhere else. This was an easy place to start a conversation with someone you didn't know... it was cool.
Pros: laid back, solid martinis, cool decor
Cons: cool crowd, solid bartenders
