Sake Bar Satsko

This is by far the best bar in the East Village. Go there once, and the bartenders will all know your name! The crowd during the week are real East Villagers and I have gotten to know lots of people just by sitting at the bar. The people are great, the vibe is the best The bartenders are the best! The food is really good, especially the shrimp dumplings and the spicy tuna soy roll.
I have been coming to this place for years and it has only gotten better! Satsko is such a wonderful hostess and makes everyone feel welcome! It is her good vibes that carry this place and my only regret is she is not there often enough (now that her new place has opened)
Go to Satsko's, you won't regret it!

I can't believe this place is still around! With the smarmy service and unoriginal menu, it's surprising - at least the new place is a little bit better - but just a little bit.

Great amotsphere! Small and very open to anyone who is a regualr and 1st timers great service (good looking on the drink tips Warren) didnt get to taste the food but they were kind enough to give us the # to a pizza spot and had it delivered to our table talk about making the customer feel at home very trendy and a def. place to sake bomb yourself away

loved it very hip and very cool staff. would recommend to anyone to go . lots of good energy and a nice staff. not from new york so it was a great treat for me, my family and friends to go here. try anyting on the menu, yoiu will absoutely love it.

Such a great feeling to still find places in thg EV where people care about details without crossing the line, good music, good food, nice sake repertoir, and a very funny crowd. Good prices considering the vast variety of food and drinks the space has to offer. My boyfrined and I can't wait to go back to that friendly cozy oasis. One great discovery at last!!
