I went in to have laser hair removal for my back. They looked at it and said since i have olive skin and dark course hair, I was a perfect candidate. Paid the $2500. After six very painful sessions, im the same as i was when I started. Now, thats not what Im complaining and writing about, that can happen to anybody. They agreed that it failed and offered to return the money, but have done nothing but give me the run around for 4 months !!! I still havent been paid, but I am now sending a certified letter, and if necessary Ill get a lawyer.
In summary, Im not upset that it didnt work, just that they jerked me around afterwards.

I went in to remove some brown spots on my legs and chest before a cruise. Daphne talked me into a package deal for $1400.00 for 5 sessions. This included photo facial on chest and legs and microdermabrasion. No doctor did the procedure. Afterwards, I went home to discover burn marks all over my chest. I was so freaked out I went back to the center the next morning. Daphne and the tech assured me this was normal. These marks lasted for 2 weeks and I hid them with t-shirts. I went on the internet and discovered that this was not how photofacial should be done. Thank God I didn't get it on my face. I have 4 treatments left, but don't want to go back. Every time I call I get a recording. I'm so mad that I didn't take pictures!I have read horror stories about other American Laser Centers as well. Apparently, these places are a scam! I guess I will have to lose my money on this one!

I went to american laser to explore my options. I had wrinkles and laugh lines that I really did not want. I also was very scared of botox and botched botox jobs I have seen in the past. Daphne the office manager, said it perfectly "we are not adding or injecting, only enhancing what you have!" perfectly said! I didn't want to add or inject, only enhance. After two affirm laser treatments I already see a difference. THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH

I had been thinking about laser hair removal for a long time and finally decided to go in for a consultation. I had heard some horror stories about laser hair removal but still decided to go in just to see what it was about. I met with the manager Dafney. She really listened to everything I had to say and really made me feel that I would be in great hands with her and her staff. My first treatment was so easy and painless (I fell asleep) that I added another area the same day!

After receiving a gift certificate I went to get info regarding a photofacial package. I ended up purchasing it (9 treatments total) well...the first 6 treatments were no results at all. My skin didn't turn red, or brown to see any kind of results. I have a big sun spot on my face and it didn't even fade away a little.
The last 3 treatment were done by another lady that has much more experience, those treatments were done completely different and my sun spot turn completely dark brown which it was good. After some days the dark pilled off and after the 3rd treatment well done....I can see a big improvement.
That lady Eva moved to another location in Chandler and I will purchase another package to continue targeting those brown areas.
I'll keep updates informing about my progress.
Pros: close to my home
Cons: so expensive for not getting results

Poor Customer Service

Initially I started having procedures at American Laser Center in West Hills because I "won" a gift certificate. Having experienced their sales staff, I'm fairly confident in the assertion that these gift certificates are not hard to come by and are handed out freely just to get people in the door. Once you're in the office, that's when the sales pitch starts. After I inquired about microdermabrasion, I was told that the IPL (intense pulsed light) procedure would give me the results I wanted and I ended up paying significantly more for an IPL/microderm package. Now, I know what you might be thinking, no one forced me to buy the package, and I agree, it was my choice. However, after I had nearly completed my package, my esthetician (who changed every time) suggested I purchase a microderm package, and when I informed her that I already had along with the IPL, she said she didn't understand why anyone would have suggested the IPL procedure as it was entirely wrong for the results I wanted. Apparently she had yet to be indoctrinated as to how to lie to clients. This is where my dissatisfaction stems from, that they will tell you anything to get a sale. I have no problem with paying for services if it will give me the results I want, and if they were straightforward with me, they would be receiving more of my business for some of the other services they offer. As it stands, I will never do business with them again.

Very pushy sales!

I went to the laser center to inquire about some stretch marks on my hips. When i spoke over the phone to a representative, i was told that this was a common procedure and they schedule an appointment to consult with me further about the procedures. When i arrived for the consultation, the consultant asked me to show her the area that i was concerned about. She said there was nothing they could do for the stretch marks, but suggested i needed work done for the cellulite on my thighs! She then spent the next couple of hours convincing me i need this procedure. She made me feel insecure and guilty about my body and talked me into an expensive package i didn't need. After leaving the office and getting hold of myself i called and told them i felt forced into the purchase, only to be giving the run- around. It took months of time and money to get the matter solved! I do not recommend this business to anyone! Poorly run business and POOR customer service!
