We ate here last night after walking by many times noting how nice it looks. Were we ever disappointed. The service was poor - even though the place was half full they took 20 minutes to take our order. Five minutes later another waiter came to our table to take our order. I guess they don't communicate. We received our salads a few minutes later - very bland. I had a casear's and the dressing tasted like mayonaisse with salt. My girlfriends beet salad was also below average...and each salad was over $10 A few minutes later the waiter brought out our entrees but when we noted that my girlfriend's order was wrong, he took hers and left mine (which had obviously been left under a heat lamp based on the temp of the plate). About 10 minutes later her plate came out with no apologies or recognition of the screw-up. As far as the dinner's quality - no good. We left feeling disappointed and noted to ourselves never again. There are too many other places where you can get a quality meal at better prices so don't bother with this one.

I went to One 83 for my Aunt?s birthday. The food was good but the waiter was not attentive or pleasant. We had to wait forever for him to come to our table to tell us about the specials and when we were ready to order another waiter had to take it because our waiter took too long to come back to the table. I also had to send my drink back twice because the bartender could't get it right after the second time. I do not recommend this place at all. I can get great food, excellent service at a better price elsewhere and so should you.

I went to this place with my boyfriend and thought the food was over priced and horrible. The waiter recommended a unique cheese appetizer so we decided to give it a shot. It had absolutely no flavor, which is tough to do for a cheese dish! I also ordered a seafood ravioli item as my main course and it tasted like it was straight from a can. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I took a first date to ONE83 recently and had a great time. The ambiance was perfect as was the service. We shared a bottle of wine from a nice wine list that came recommended by our server....nice choice! We both enjoyed our meals, I had a pasta dish and my date a seafood dish. I'd definitely go back with friends or family.

I came to this romantic restaurant with a large group of six gals, and boy were they accomodating. It was nice going in and treating ourselves. The prices were well within range the atmosphere was neat, modern, and romantic. I am also on a diet so they were able to cater to my needs and make up a healthy dish consisting of salmon and veggies tossed through wheat pasta in a garlic and oil sauce. Sounds bland but was not at all! They did a fantastic job in making our night fun and memorable. Remember before going that with a 15 dollar corking fee you can bring in a favorite bottle of wine from home! We had about 5 bottles on the table and kinda had a bit of a tasting but the staff did not care whatsoever and was super friendly to a roudy group.

I have been to this restaurant on several occasions, and each time it was a wonderful experience. The food, service and wine are excellent. It is a diamond in the ruff, Highly recommended.

This beautiful restaurant is a gem!! I live around the corner and ventured in after attending a special event, and was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance, the delicious food and outstanding service. I am happy to call this restaurant my neighborhood favorite!

Great menu and delicious food. The staff is professional and extremely courteous. The bar at the front is cute, if small. The wine list was a bit steep, but they allow you to bring your own for a small corking fee.
Overall, a very nice experience.

I eat here all the time (sign up for their VIP card - it gets you 15% off). The food here is consistently great - there are so many options on the regular menu and there are always a lot of specials to "spice" it up. They always throw in little surprises - bruschetta, cheese plate, chef's tasting, mini dessert plate. The service is impeccable, the garden is beautiful and they are always gracious hosts. I sometimes bring my (normally well-behaved) baby and on the occasion when he lost his temper, they didn't make us feel any less welcomed - they actually went out of there way to assure us that it wasn't a problem. Whoever wrote that bad review must either be a competitor restaurant or, no offense, must lack good taste.

The service and food was great my wife had the Florentine Steak with tuscan fries which was probobly one of the best in the city,
I had the branzini (Sea Bass from Italy )
The waiters also gave us some complimentary
grappa and port wine on the house, This is definetly a must try place.

We went with a large group of people to celebrate a birthday and we chose the restaurant since it had recieved such high ratings on city search. The food was barely edible - I had stuffed ravioli that was the consistency of rubber and my friend had the Salmon since this is her favorite fish - which was indedible. The service and surroundings couldn't have been better, but the food was very disapointing at best.

What a great experience! The food was expertly prepared and presented. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. Immediately we felt at home. We'll definitely be back!

The food was excellent and so was the service. I went there with my husband and the ambiance was just perfect for a nice romantic dinner. Our waiter was great and we even got drinks and some food courtesy of the cheff- maybe because it wasn't so busy when we went. We will definitely go back again, and this time we will be bringing friends.

We had a wonderful dinner in a lovely, gracious room with great food and warm, attentive service. The lobster risotto and filet mignon were very nice. The cheese plate was terrific and the hospitality was generous. The prices are more than reasonable for the food and service quality. An elegant but not stuffy destination. As perfect for neighborhood dining as for out-of-towners.
