First of all, they have been serving upper west for almost 10 years, if they r not qualified why do they still here ? I have been going there for almost 3 years, I have to say that they r amazing. Secondly, I remebered that ny post featured them also last year december, can't really remeber the date, but yeah. Most importanly it's almost impossible to find a place that is not expensive but can still provide excellent service. Well magic fingers is one of the few places in the city who's affordable, and provids excellent services! People should try their full body (1hr30mins) massage. Totally fab.

After a particularly stressful month, I googled local massage places, thought this sounded alright, stopped by at around 3 pm on a friday afternoon and was taken right in. I said: "half hour massage." The woman nodded and took me into a side room. I think I might have been the only person in the place so even though I was a little creeped out by the sheer curtains and the massage chairs (were the towels new??) my back hurt like hell and I was willing to try it out.

and yeah, it is as good as everyone says. I've had multiple massages in my life, all of which I had my own room and clean towels and don't require stumbling around in the dark, but none of which were under $100, and this was hands down the best massage EVER. it was so good that I went into a total daze of happiness and deep tissue massaging and totally lost track of time -- the woman got ALL my pressure points, exactly what I asked for, perfect.

So, why 3 stars? because at the end of my massage, I went up to pay, and the lady said $79. But, I said, the sign outside said a half an hour massage was something like $35? Well, it turns out that my half an hour massage had become an hour and a half massage. I was twenty minutes late for a doctor's appointment, and I paid double what I had expected.

But I am 100% planning on going back because the massage was so good. and when I do, i'm gonna bring my own towels and pillows, will be super duper clear about the time I want (maybe "thirty minutes" is better to say than a half hour). if the massage is just a good as before, this rating will be changed to a 5 star for sure!!

Cons: language barriers lead to awkward issues

Super magic fingers is one of the best in upper westside. They have the best skills of massages like swedish, acupressure, acupuncture( really good for students who need to take sat or some other tests, acupuncture can really help you to concentrate, at least it works for me). Anyway... one hour massage is only 48 bucks which is really rare. I just like to go there .

I've had several massages here with either Susan or Annie and they both work fairly deep. I used to get massages at the Equinox regularly before the nearest location closed for renovation and I have to say, while Equinox was a lot "nicer", the therapists here are just as good as some of their better ones and definitely better than some of their worst ones. This also leaves a lot more $$ left over for other things. Comes to about a buck a minute including tip. There are curtains separating customers and if you don't go during "peak" time, there is not always someone next to you. They have a frequent visitors card but they do not really advertise that fact. I had to ask for it the second time I went .

I decided why not spoil my wife for once- Boy did I make the right decision! This is by far the nicest day spa I've ever visited. The interior reminds you of a hidden nook you've only seen in movies. And the facials are to die for! A deep tissue massage I selected was EXACTLY what the doctor ordered for her..she was getting on my nerves.

I have been to a lot of spa, but this one is the best in the upper westside. Not like some other asian masseurs, they are really professional. Although the place is kind of small, I still like to go there. haha anyway, I just love to go there every week. I think super magic fingers is a good place to relax.

That's really a nice place for massage. I come from japanese. I have been so much massage stores. They gave me the best feelling of all, although the store is not so big and gorgeous like a beauty centre,
I will go there again with my friends. She's always tired from her work. That'll be a good place for her to relax.

I think they are great, it's depends on how you define a great massage is. If you want to spend less than 50 dollars meanwhile getting good massages, I think they do the best job in upper westside, I almost tried every employeers there, some of them are really nice.

I was hesitant to try this place because I read the reviews and it didn't seem like a great place. However, I went anyway because it is so cheap and in my neighborhood. I loved my massage. I got a 60 minute full body massage and it was so nice. I get horrible tension headaches and went in with a lot of knots and stress and I feel fantastic now. The only downsides were that the door to my room was just a thin curtain so I felt a little exposed, and since the walls don't go all the way to the ceiling I could hear my neighbor's cell phone conversation. Other than that, the massage was really well done and relaxing. I will be going back!

If you look below at the 5-star reviews, you'll notice that they are all written in the barely comprehensible english of this business's employees. Citysearch needs to do a better job of policing these reviews. Anyway the massage here consists of some squeezing and rubbing and its very clear that none of the current employees actually have any formal massage training. It's a very mediocre experience.

I think u guys should try Amy , Linda or Jessie , all of them are great . haha

They are phenomenal ! I am highly suggest you guys try Amy, Linda , and Ying. I have tried all of them. All of them are great. They can fix the pain of your body, and if u want soft&relax, they can also make u feel comfortable. ( just need to tell them). whatever. It's a good place to go. Super magic fingers is super hot right now , you'd better make an appointment first.

I don't understand what everyone is talking about....this place is SUCH a dissapointment. Have gone twice now because I thought the first time was just a fluke. I was expecting a no-frills place that gave a good, cheap massage. I did not expect to find this tiny, dirty (seriously the mildew smell was beyond and I am not convinced the sheets were clean) place with sub-par massages. During my first massage I had someone literally changed places with someone else in the middle of the massage, which I found weird and somewhat disconcerting. The massage itself was bad, but at least not painful. The second time it was literally like someone was rubbing my skin back and forth (and I'm not someone that needs deep tissue work) and then would push on my spine. Left unsatisfied, with a headache...total rip off.

I went here a while ago, and it was AWFUL. Forget bare bones, the therapists, IF they were even legally licensed, couldn't communicate with me other than to take my payment. I don't believe the woman who worked on me even spoke english. When I tried to tell her what I wanted her to work on she shushed me, despite being the only person in the room with her. I tried AGAIN to tell her what I wanted her to do, and again she shushed me, and went to work, and it was just awful - she used lotion that I could have bought at the corner drugstore, not oil, and when she was finished I felt as awful, if not worse than when I walked in. I would STAY AWAY from this place.

I WILL NEVER set foot there again!!! I had a Spa Finder gift certificate and called up a few places to get a massage appointment on Sun night. My favorite place - Graceful Services was overbooked and I decided to try the fingers - heard a lot about them. Well, I called them up, asked whether they accept the spa finder certificate the girls on the phone said "yes" and whether they have an opening and got an appt right away. (That should have gotten me thinkgin why the y has opening slots, when the best place is booked - but I had a gift certificate at hand and wanted to get a massage...).
When I arrived - the setting was as described - very modest to say the least and the massage was decent - not bad, but far from being the best.
When the hour was over - the masseuse started trying to push more minutes on me - I politely refused. When I came out I was told that THEY DO NOT ACCEPT the Spa finder certificates! I politely reminded that I called and was told otherwise and the girl said that here English is bad and SHE misunderstood the questions. After a short argument she said that they will call the police if I do not pay!!! At this time the masseuse was blocking the door and telling me "Pay $48" - there were no language barriers in this case!

I was late for meeting a friend and did not feel like getting into the conversation with the police and who knows what else - but I want everybody to know about the practices this place uses to get the customers in and BEWARE. When you call or walk in and they immediately have a spot - just ask yourself - why is that, when everybody else is overbooked?

Greatest massage I have had in a long time, still can't get over how wonderful it was. No frills for sure, but this extremely clean and very small business (and space) came through strongly in ambience, and professionalism of massage therapists.

I walked in achy and sore all over, Co-Co massaged out every knot I knew I had and some I didn't in a gentle and vigorous manner.........I walked out feeling like a million dollars.....

I have traveled many places and have to say this was a wonderful find in my back yard--New York City, a true bargain price for exceptional quality. I am already looking to make time for the next massage, will definitely become a monthly experience, and maybe even more often.

And, the price was so right, I had money left over to buy a lovely dinner at Manna (93/Amsterdam), excellent Asian Macrobiotic.

Now, how great is that??

Beware Everyone. The moment I walked in they did not ask me what I wanted but told me "one hour, lie down". I told them I wanted less and they continually tried to upsell me, and then didn't bother to hide their dissapointment the whole time, especially as I was paying. But here is the real problem: It was the most painfull massage I ever had, she was pressing down so hard on my NECK (potentially dangerous)and my back, didn't explain what she was going to do, had me strip completely down but then only "massaged"my upper body. Also she used this completely greasy oil, this stuff was like crisco, it never absorbed into my skin-i couldn't even wash it off my hands with soap and water! Next time i'm going to check to see if the person is a LICENCED MASSAGE THERAPIST- I have been in PAIN for several days since!

"You don't understand " is a great way to explain the total experience that awaits you at Super Magic Fingers. From the comfortable atmoshpere, to the friendly service, to the great massages, to the very reasonable prices, this is a great place to go to leave your stresses at the door. I was originally brought here by a good friend after work on a rainy Monday night, and have been hooked ever since. We now plan our future get togethers around a Monday night Massage. I would highly recommend this to anyone who could use a great way to relax, forget about your stresses, and not feel as if it will break the bank. The reasonable price allows for the added benefit of visiting this fine establishment more often.

When it comes to value this is the place to be in nyc. i've become a weekly regular(monday nights) and it's a great way to start the week. massages are a wonderful way to promote both mental and physical well being. super magic fingers is very well run and the staff perform their trade outstandingly. i've paid 2 and half times more elsewhere with no better results. the team becomes very familiar with your needs and zero in on the ares needing the most relief. the only thing that is disappointing is when your bell goes off and the massage is complete. i've recommended the place to my investment adviser and in a short period of time his results improved sighnificantly so what can be bad? tell the boss kenny sent ya!

I love Super Magic Fingers- I get headaches from tension in my shoulders, neck and upper back. Whenever I get a headache that I am worried will turn into a migraine I call them and they can always fit me in. I can usually come within an hour, which saves my life, time and time again. Everything said here is true- its NOT private, but it's dark and nobody is paying any attention to you while you are undressing. It's not posh, its definitly not a spa environment, but it's cheap. Each half-hour is 24.00 and you need to assume that you will give them 5 extra for each half an hour. I tried to give a more traditional tip at my first massage (5 for the hour) and was told that i did not tip enough and had to pay more. That's the only bad experience I've had and I can't afford to hold it against them. I need their massage, because it takes my pain away. I definitly suggest giving them a call if you are unsure- you can't lose and you could gain a really great resource.

Pros: clean, warm, extremely effective massage

Cons: The lack of privacy takes some getting used to.

No kidding, no frills! From where I was laying, I even heard the toilet flush! You always wonder about places like these, so I never go in. But after reading all of these reviews, I dared to give it a try. I was not disappointed! A really great massage at a really great price.

this is a so so massage for your money, nothing fancy. i had a 90 minute massage for $74 which is a great price in new york, but more than i was quoted on the phone which i find to be irritating. also, the massage table was extremely uncomfortable, i literally felt like i was being choked the entire time i was on my stomach. i really don't know if would go back, despite the incredibly low price. you get what you pay for. on the plus side, they were able to see me late night, last minute notice, and the therapist was very courteous.

If you like a reasonably priced, amazing, deep massage, try this place out! The staff was friendly and helpful, definitely going to go back on a regular basis.

This was probably the best massage I've ever gotten, and the prices cannot be beat. I really don't think you can find a better value anywhere in new york.

I had some major neck and back problems and needed a no frills massage to work out the kinks. I was able to make an appointment immediately and received an excellent deep tissue massage at a great price. Magic Fingers is perfect for someone on a budget ($48 for 60 mins, $66 for 90 mins) who is looking for some deep tissue work -- not just some tap and talk. You'll be hard pressed to find a place that charges what they do in NYC and get the same quality massage. Not completely private but private enough. Overall, a very relaxing atmosphere.

I am a lady who loves lavender oils and ocean waves. But when I woke up with severe neck/shoulder pain I needed to find relief, right now and real cheap. After a quick search here I called "Fingers" and had an appt. for the next hour. The other reviewers are correct. It's not for the modest, but if you just want a hardcore no bells and whistles massage, come here. Sean worked me over! Pain never felts so good! I couldn't move my neck before and it feels incredible now. The absence of Yanni and a chatty masseuse was also a bonus.

If you live in the UWS and like a good hard massage then this place cannot be beat. Very friendly but business like staff give very strong "no nonsense" massage. Very cheap at $26 for 30 minutes (starts at $10 for 10 minutes with price breaks for every additional 10 minutes). Only thing is there are no changing rooms and the sheer curtains mean somebody WILL see you lying there half exposed. No conversation as everyone can hear you. Seems quite clean, especially considering the volume of business. Men and women seem to frequent in about equal numbers. Not too much oil is used (spray bottles) which they wipe off at the end - no shower.

The massage was wonderful and incredibly affordable, especially with the citisearch coupon. $61 for 90 minutes! The massage is very strong and relaxing, all my muscle pains were gone. This is a place for massage-not pampering. There are no showers, lockers, changing areas. There is no privacy, just some fairly sheer curtains. The phone was ringing 10 feet away. I went early, so there were few distractions and I enjoyed it. But if you are very modest or looking to get away from it all, this is not the place.

The massage therapists were amazing - very strong and skillful in different techniques from around the world. I would reccommend Jimmy and Sophia. The prices are so reasonable, and the staff were extremely accommodating.

Not much to look at, but the massage was awesome, I went in with back pain and shoulder pain and stress and I was transported to another world. The next day I had more energy then I knew what to do with. The price is right too! $48 for 60 minute massage.

I have been getting a one or 1.5 hour massage weekly for over a year. All of the therapists are skillful and able to tune in to your body and locate problem areas to work out knots in your muscles. Sean is especially good but I've had other therapists on occasion who were equally skilled. Since you get one free after buying 10, this is a bargain. It works out to $43. per hour. I get massage as part of my own health and wellness routine and have had massage all over the world - USA, Canada, Europe, and especially Asia. In New York, I tended to switch often until I found Super Magic Fingers. The atmosphere is clean, comfortable and pleasant.

I am addicted to this place. I go once a week to get a one hour back massage with Sean, he is amazing. I refuse to go to other places anymore because I know I will pay twice the price for a mediocre massage. If you like a very strong massage and don't need a lot of fuss or other amenities, this is the place for you.

The quarters of this bare-bones massage parlor are so tight that it could be housed in the foyer of an apartment--and the front desk literally is. One tiny offset room contains just three tables separated by curtains.…
