I came to Oasis at the Affinia Dumont for a Brown Sugar Scrub, and I was absolutely thrilled with the results. Sandra did a really good job, and she was so nice! I didn't feel awkward or uncomfortable at all, even without my clothes on. And best of all, my skin was soooo soft afterwards!! :-)

I went to Oasis for their 60 minute Signature Facial. The relaxation room was gorgeous, with dried fruit, water with slices of cucumber in it, candles and soft music. My esthetician was Sandra, who did an incredible job. She listened carefully while I told her about my skin and skincare routine, and during the treatment she told me exactly what she was doing and why. She also told me about the products and offered to give me samples, but did not push them at all. In fact, she recommended that I research them and decide whether they would be a good fit for me before buying - the complete opposite of a hard sell! I actually did end up buying the moisturizer because I liked it so much. The entire experience was very relaxing and enjoyable, and it made my skin look flawless. Afterwards, I used one of the steam showers, which was lovely. I will definitely be back.

Kevin did an amazing job on my back. Quickly located trouble spots and resolved them, without creating any flare-ups or pain -- something I was really worried about after a bad stretch of sciatica. He likes physical challenges, has incredibly strong hands and knows how to work out the kinks -- I was impressed by his thoroughness, and I feel the best I have in years.

My husband and I have been getting weekly massages from Kevin and Gina at Oasis day spa for over 3 years now. They are truly the best because their massages are strong, effective, and yet very relaxing. 60 minutes of heaven followed by a steam bath makes me feel like a million bucks! My weekly massages have allowed me to push myself further in my daily workouts and as a result I am quickly losing the baby weight. i gained during my pregnancy. My husband no longer needs to see the chiropractor for his back pain and he's now able to work out 6 days a week (his cholesterol went from 215 to 181). I can honestly say that Oasis day spa at the Affinia Dumont is the best spa because it's clean, affordable, and the massage therapists are experienced and knowledgable.

I have been going to Oasis Day Spa @ 1Park Avenue for years and have always been satisfied. Just this past weekend I went to Oasis @ Affinia Dumont for a 60 minute massage, I was very disappointed at this spa location. The womens locker room was not as clean as it could be and the shower was dirty and quite frankly smelled like urine. My masseuse kept me waiting in the relaxation room for 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. Upon entering the treatment room the shades in the room were wide open and I had to ask the masseuse to close them, my masseuse was also wearing jewelry which jingled while she was working on me, this was distracting to say the least and I had to ask her to remove the jewelry. Lastly my masseuse required a lot more training, this massage was quite possibly one of the worst I have ever had, dare I say I have had much better massages at my nail salon. In closing I left the spa feeling more stressed than I did when I came in, leaves a bad taste in the mouth when paying $110. for a massage that was not enjoyable or relaxing.

Donald at Oasis at the Affinity Dumont gave me a fantastic massage. They fit me in around my schedule and it was just an overall wonderful experience. By far - my favorite spa in NYC - Thanks! :)

My husband and I stayed at the Affinia Hotel a few weeks back. Not knowing there was a spa at the hotel, I made a last minute appointment, Luckily, there was one opening so I took it. It was one one of the best massages I've ever had. The masseuse was very professional and I felt like a new person upon completion. The staff was also very nice and accomodating.

On Friday morning I booked a prenatal massage for my girlfriend for Saturday afternoon. The scheduler called me at 2PM on Friday to re-confirm my appointment. I received a call from a gentleman at 6:30Pm on Friday telling me that the scheduler made a mistake and double-booked the appointment. He did offer to take my girlfriend at 11:30 Saturday morning, but the reason I booked the appointment for 2PM was because that was the only time I could do this. They were very cavalier about this and that is not good business.
BUYER BEWARE.

The owners of Oasis at the Dumont and at Park Avenue know the business first hand. The owners are directly involved in hiring everyone, ensuring quality service. I got a series of massages from Dennis who was especially sensitive to my back issues. The facialist, Sushi, does ballet with her hands. It was the most lyrical, pain free facial ever...and no red marks. It is clean, peaceful, friendly and very professional.

I booked an appointment at the Oasis Spa at the Affinia Dumont. At the time of booking I was not told about the cancellation policy. The only thing the reservationist mentioned is the tip policy-in cash of course.

I called the next morning, and asked if I could reschedule for the next day, as a personal emergency arose.
I was told by the manager, that in addition to the their cancellation policy, which was not told to me, that they would try to fill up the time with another client

I had three services booked, what they did was remove the cheapest service and then proceeded to tell me that I would have to pay for the other two.

The manager on duty promised to speak to the general manager and failed to do so.
The only saving grace in this whole ordeal was my esthetician was phenomenal.

I've been to Oasis 5 years ago, but at the Park Avenue location.Unfortunately, because of the failure to disclose their policies, I would not come back to either location. Also, my workplace listed them Oasis as part of our workplace perks. Its unfortunate that I will have to describe my unpleasant experience.

Cons: Horrible customer service, amongst management.

I was very impressed with this Spa!! From the moment we booked until the moment we left the place, we were treated with the utmost care and pampering. My husband and I both had facials and both agreed we had never been treated so well before. We both came out looking a feeling younger. Highly recommended.

My husband and I were staying at the Affinia Dumont Hotel and figured we'd take advantage of Oasis Day Spa on the premises. I've heard a lot of great things about Oasis and now I know why. My husband and I each went in for just a massage. We were treated very graciously by all the employees. The facilities were very nice, and, oh yeah, the massages were GREAT! Oasis was definitely one of the highlights of our NYC visit.

....well, not really but it was exactly what I needed. I received one of the most relaxing massages I've ever had. The masseuse was very professional and got all the right spots. Since I only treat myself once or twice a year, I'm glad I chose Oasis at Affinia. Oh yeah, the staff was very courteous as well

I refer spas to friends and clients all of the time. I'm very particular about where I go and what services I get. My experience at Oasis was HORRIBLE! I received a gift certificate for a side by side massage for my birthday. When I called to set up the appointment the receptionist had no clue. She was very confused and I should have known that something wasn't right. She booked my appointment and even verified all of my information with me before we got off the phone. So I'm all set right.?.. WRONG! I call to confirm the day of only to be told that the booker made a mistake and booked me for the following week same day and time. After much shuffling they were able to book side by side as the LAST appointment on a Sunday. The massage was horrible, rushed, inconsistent, and honestly overall BAD. Out of a 10 as being the best Oasis gets a negative 4. Dont waste your time or money. Try anywhere else but here

I was Oasis in March for Spa week and was pleasantly surprised by the massage I received. My therapist was Karen Devine - she KNOWS what she is doing! My session was only 45 minutes but she did not make me feel rushed, nor did she make me feel like it was less than an hour.

I have had over 300 body treatments and I am also a certified massage therapist. It is rare for me to find an therapsit who can give a great massage - especially during spa week.

Lockers were kind of a pain to use for a first time client and there is no nice seating (aside form uncomfortable stools) in the locker room to chill out before or after your treatments, but it was clean and had an attendant who checked regularly on the locker room.

Will go back. If Karen is any indication as to the rest of the therapists, Oasis cannot be missed!

Pros: Clean, luxurious and hidden away. Outstanding massage by Karen Devine. Demalogica products are sold but I was not pressure by staff to purchase anything after treatments.

Cons: Small locker room and waiting area. (however - VERY CLEAN)

My husband got me a spa package after he spotted an offer on Citysearch. I was immediately treated warmly by the staff and the services provided were all top notch(facial & massage). My friends had been to the Park location and loved it so I'm glad I tried this one. Highly recommended

My hour massage was finished in 45 minutes. She barely massaged me, kept poking me rather than massaging. The staff was friendly and the steam shower is great. I'd stick with the original though.

i stuck with a safe choice, trying the swedish massage to test out this location. from the start, i was disappointed. decor was unimpressive. looked like a high school gym. couldn't find the sauna. robe was dirty. front desk was rude. massage was average. a lot of rubbing, like an indian burn. paid for a 45 min massage, got a 35 minute massage. wont go back to this location for sure.

This hands down was the absolute best facial I have ever gotten in my life!!!!!!!!!! I have been getting facials all over the world for more than half my life, ( a long time-believe me) and this by far has been the BEST!!!!! Mickey has hands of silk. She can put you to to sleep with one touch. I didn't feel any extractions. She is that gentle. And also so helpful. She gently explained to me what I needed to change in my skin care routine without making me feel like I was being scolded. She gave me a prescription sheet with different products I should buy. She never once pressured me to buy things. But she was so warm and kind that I automatically trusted her. I bought every single thing. And do you know what? Boy am I glad I did because my skin has never looked better.

My daughter and I (22 & 43 years old) went to Oasis Spa at the Affinia Dumont to have our facials few days ago. Not only it was our first time at this spa, it was my first facial done by a man. But what a wonderful facial I had. Sean was great, very knowledgeable and attentive. Even extraction felt relaxing. My daughter enjoyed her treatment, done by Kaori, very much as well. The staff was very nice, the atmosphere was very relaxing. Both of us liked that there was no pressure to buy any of the products. In the end they just give you a recommendation list and you do with it what you like. Everything from the beginning to the end was perfect.

This was my first visit to the Affinia Dumont location. I usually go to Union Square, but this location surpassed it. The combination steam/shower is GREAT! And my massage by Gerard was EXCELLENT. Very professional. Asked the right questions to pin point my trouble spots and knew when to stop talking so I could enjoy the massage. Very helpful staff. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

The steam showers alone are reason enough to come to the Dumont loaction. Me and my boyfriend both loved the atmosphere and the side by side room was just so perfect. I also had a facial with Susi-the woman has hands that are so gentle that you forget that you are getting extractions. This is the best out of all three locations.

I have been going to Oasis Day Spa since 2002. Although there another two locations (Park Ave and Union Square) are nice, I LOVE the Dumont location. This is what a spa is suppose to be like, quite, peaceful and overall calming. The receptionists were warm and friendly and the staff is very professional. I much rather be here on the weekdays simply because it feels like I have the spa all to myself. The locker rooms are neat, clean and safe. The steams showers are the best!! I highly recommend Oasis@Affinia Dumont Spa to all of my friends and family!

I also loved the private steam rooms and the relaxation lounge. For anyone who loves the other locations, you should definitely try this new escape in Murray Hill!
