In Short
Mostly a takeout joint, the tiny storefront houses a few counter chairs on the bottom floor of a mixed-use development in Midtown and a couple of outdoor tables. Nancy's advertises pasta entrees on its website, but this location sticks to pizza, salads and sandwiches. The signature stuffed pizzas are packed with a choice of meats and veggies. Uncle Carl's Favorite with pepperoni and hot giardiniera is flavorful and loaded with jalapenos.

the worst pizza we ever ate!!!!!!!!!!

by ari d.

We ordered two family-size of the "special pizza". The crust was terrible - soggy & tasteless; the toppings - a few pieces of pepperoni & sausage, shredded green pepper and traces of onion. We paid &63 for 2 pizzas which the cardboard boxes they came in were probably tastier. We felt insulted the over priced, worst ever pizza.

Like being in the Windy City

by Maya G. | top100 Top100 | Rank: 26

We used to live in Chicago and although at the time we were fans of a rival pizza parlor, since moving to Atlanta we have never had to suffer from stuffed pizza cravings. Nancy's is great--and delivers!

Awesome Chicago Pizza

by S S. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 4,804

I am from Chicago and I LOVE this pizza better than many of the other traditional pizza places in Chicago. Deep dish pizza is the best. Its really cheesy and saucy. Although this location is not an eat in location the people are very friendly.

PROS: Great pizza
CONS: Not a dine-in place

highly disappointed

by cstank

after waiting well over an hour, i was excited to get some good deep dish, hoping it was going to be worth the wait. we got a small with some veggies in it. i am not exaggerating when i say there were a small handful of frozen broccoli bits (mostly stems) and a few canned mushrooms in it. the fresh tomatoes were on top and there was about one roma's worth. the crust was decent, but that was the only thing that wasn't bad and disappointing. this was such a wimpy pie - not even close to what i expect with a true chicago pizza (for $30 no less!!)

Pros: none

Cons: frozen and canned veggies, price, delivery time

Great Pizza for true PIZZA LOVERS

by jackiecg28

Wow!!! yes the pizza takes a while to bake but is worth it a small can feed three people. What you sometimes go thru at the front counter can be expected from any pizza place... workers who wish they weren't at work selling pizza. But the taste is worth the wait and the occasional aggrevation!!!

Pros: great pizza

Cons: no seating

Imitation cheese! Ridiculous prices!

by nineteenseventy

As a Chicagoan, I miss my deep dish pizza. But, I found that depending on the only deep dish pizza place in Atlanta is absolutely NOT an option! I ordered a spinach deep dish pizza and I KNOW the plastic texture of imitation cheese when I taste it! There is NO WAY that what we ordered was made with real cheese! NO WAY! The final insult is the gorged price. Why is a large pizza over $20 WITHOUT toppings? Are you kidding me? I'll wait for the authentic thing when I head back to Chicago. True Chicagoans don't really eat at Nancy's when they're in Chicago anyhow; there are much better options out there. EXPLORE THEM, but avoid this place!

Pros: Can eat outdoors

Cons: Imitation cheese, poor quality food for price.

How do you improve on a classic? Ask Nancy!!!

by qt1978

This was by far the best pizza I have ever had. The price seems a little high but you will hardly be able to cram 2 or 3 slices like with those other guys. If you just need it quick, by all means call one of the more popular chains. When you are ready to enjoy Chi Towns best... call Nancy?s.

Pros: Flavor

Cons: Parking stinks

OMG! Absoutly the BEST pizza I have ever eaten!!!!!!!!!!!

by PsyCounselor

I was staying at the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel; it was rather late and I was craving a pizza. The hotel gave me the number to Nancy's Pizza. Before this, I had never heard of Nancy's but I ordered and when the pizza arrived I was shocked; it seemed rather small, but it must have weighed three or so pounds. Without a doubt it was the best pizza I have ever eaten. I really wish, and hope, that Nancy will open in Greenville, SC. If this place opened in SC, the other pizza joints would be put out and QUICK! I would almost drive to Atlanta just to eat there again. GREAT PIZZA..A MUST TRY! Furthermore, the price is bad either, especially for what you get. UMMMMMMMM Deep Dish Stuffed, a real pleaser for the serious pizza eater. If I could have given more than 5 stars I would have.

Pros: Everything is GREAT! A must try!

Cons: NONE

Wonderful Pizza... Best service I have received from anywhere in years!

by KYLitig8r

My wife and I just came back from Atlanta. I am a big fan of Chicago pizza. I have even ordered Giordanos and had it shipped to me. We went to Nancy's Chicago Pizza and found it to be absolutely amazing.

The service was the best service we have received in any restaurant in years (even better than so-called 5 star restaurants). We had no fewer than 5 people (including the owner) wait on us. The lady at the register was helpful in making sure that we did not over order. She even came to our table and put my wife's bottled drink back in the refrigerator for her so it would be ice cold when the pizza came. The owner made sure that my wife (who had never tried Chicago-style pizza) had a good experience at his restaurant.

I found the pizza to be fantastic. The sauce was thick and rich and the toppings were spread evenly across the pizza. The cheese was thick but not stringy. The crust was rich and not too doughy.

We sat outside on the front patio. The person working the door was very pleasant and made sure that we did not want for anything.

We did not try the cheesecakes they had, but they looked scrumptous.

On a scale of 1 to 10 on the overall experience.... we would give it an 11. We get to Atlanta a few times a year and we will definately be back.

On a side note, the owner was willing to let us test his frozen pizza for us to see whether it would make it back home (about 5 hours) if it was properly packaged. Unfortunately, the tornado occurred while we were there and we were forced to leave early. We will take him up on the offer next time we are in Atlanta if he offers again. I would love to be able to have Nancy's Pizza at my own house.

A+++++++

Pros: Excellent service... Friendly people... wonderful food

Cons: Parking and seating

Great Deep-Dish Chicago Pizza In ATL! Delivery Also!

by jaymaygm

It's Sunday night and we were staying in to watch the SAG Awards! Called our favorite pizza delivery joint, and guess what, they don't deliver on Sundays! Going in to panic mode, we decided to call Mellow Mushroom Pizza at 26th. & Peachtree. The very rude guy on the phone, informed us they don't deliver unless it's a $100.00 minimum order. What! We told him he could keep it. We remembered reading about Chicago Nancy's, we were aftraid they couldn't come to our home on 26th. St., but surprise, surprise. We have found a new favorite pizza delivery joint, with some of the best pizza we've had in years. It was the deep-dish house specialty. Italian sausage, peppers, mushrooms and onions. And cheese overload! Give it a try, you won't be sorry.!

Pros: Outstanding Chicago Deep Dish Pizza! Good Delivery Guys!

Pretty close to home...

by emcatt

A longtime fan of Gino's East in Chicago, it took me two years in Atlanta to find anything close. Nancy's isn't quite there but is by far the best pizza I've had in Atlanta. If you get delivery for the deep dish. we always throw it in the oven when it arrives for another 10 minutes, as the crust is usually a little softer than how it's done at Gino's or Uno. We have it several times a month, and there's usually coupons for free breadsticks on their website.

Pros: Great deep dish pizza, lots of coupons on website

Cons: Delivery can take up to 90 minutes, even if you live nearby

Best I have found after 23 yrs. in Atlanta

by schredd

For the first....the CHICAGO name is truthfully. This pizza joint is the only place to have pizza in Atlanta. My family moved here from CHicago 23 yrs. ago. We have eaten at every pizza jointr in town (really not exaggerating). Since this place opened, we do have to get on the airplane back from Chicago with 4 pizzas in hand. Thin Crust or Deep dish.....it's the real deal. Quality products through and through. Southerners looking for the cheapest pizza.....STAY AWAY. I drive to Nancy's from the Northern Suburbs every time. 1 Hour 20 minutes round trip. It's woth it every time!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE OPEN A JOINT IN DUNWWODY, ROSWELL OR ALPHARETTA!!!!!!

Pros: Fantastic Pizza, Great Workers, The Real Deal!!!

Cons: None, None, None

Really Good Pie

by illini1985

The place is small but has the best pizza I've tasted in Atlanta. This was a secret that could not be kept no longer. I saw people taking pizza from Nancy's on a flight which prompted me to ask why. Now I know! This is some good stuff. The quality of their food is exceptional. The pizza is so unique and tasty. The pizza is just what I expect and get in Chicago. I get to read about Chicago while waiting on my pizza. This is a great atmosphere and deep dish pizza. Welcome Welcome...Feels like Chicago inside...

Pros: Food, Service, Value

Cons: Late Hours

Close your eyes as you bite into a Nancy's Chicago style pizza and you would believe your standing on State street. The sauce is awsome as well as the real Italian sausage. A true Chicagoan won't be disapointed.

Pros: pizza, servings, selections

Cons: dinning area, parking , location

Nancy's Pizza Taste

by james willams

Been living in Atlanta for 2 years searching for a taste of home. Found it! Nancy's food is absolutely delicious. This is the only authentic Chicago Pizza in town. Their B'Que wings are great too. They are just what people are raving over. I appreciate the fact that Nancy's takes their time to make a great Chicago style pizza! Now I don't have to go back home to get the taste that I crave.

Pros: Service, Food, Atmosphere

Ridiculous delivery charges

by sonorajan

We ordered pizza for delivery at work (4.41 miles away according to Mapquest) and were informed (after the fact) that there was a $3 delivery charge and a 15% gratuity. For 2 delivered pizzas!!!!! Never again.

A taste of home!

by michellelane

I was thrilled to discover Nancy's had an Atlanta branch. I recently moved from Chicago, and I can tell you, Atlanta does not even know what pizza is. Fortunatly, there's Nancy's. Even though Nancy's isn't the best in Chicago, it is by leaps and bounds the best in and around Atlanta.

Pros: great pizza

Not Quite...

by souleros

As a Chicago native, and longtime lover of "real" Chicago-style pizza, I was disappointed with Nancy's pies. I knew something was amiss when the friendly counter clerk told me the large pie I ordered would be ready in 20 minutes; the really great Chicago pizzas require 40-45 minutes! It's hard to believe they were acually voted "best in Chicago", I wonder by whom....

It wasn't bad, just not up to hype, and a bit overpriced...

Pros: Friendly employee

Cons: , expensive, terrible parking
