I live on the Peninsula but was introduced to In-Symmetry years ago and have been going there frequently. I have to admit that, despite the odd location (more of a residential neighborhood), the place offers extremely great services. Joey is fabulous at deep tissue massages and all the rest of the staff are friendly and helpful. There's plenty of parking available around the place and the rates are very reasonable. I've never tried the facials, only heard wonderful things about them. Definitely worth a visit...even if only to try it for once.

I have been going to In-symmetry for months now to get my monthly tune-up and I just have to say I love this place. The location, the affordability, and not to mention the amazing therapists they have on staff. Wanted to give props to two newer therapists I've tried recently, Rebecca for massage and Devon for facials. Rebecca is amazing at applying enough pressure to really get into the muscles but not too much that you feel your whole body tense up from the pain. She really worked on my hip issue and also made me feel super relaxed by the end. Devon is an amazingly caring esthetician who gives a killer facial, mixed with massage and hot rocks, it felt divine! I highly recommend this place, and the receptionists are super sweet too!

Oh yeah, love this place. Best massage ever. I have been here about a dozen times and have seen three therapists and I can not remember names. Just know I LOVE THEM! They keep track of the therapists names for me.
Atmosphere is really comfortable, clean and unique. Hidden Gem.
Therapists are really really good. They use hot stones before they go in for the big knots. Delish!
Price is just right. I can't believe you can still get a massage for $70 these days.
I am one happy customer of this place. My friends get facials and love them too. I much prefer to get massage because I don't have bad skin, yet. I do buy some of the facial products and love them too.

why would you go downtown, having to deal with the madness that is, freak out over the lack of parking, when you could just as easily zoom (or take a bus) up to Potrero Hill , park (ample amounts of parking), be buzzed into a beautiful loft (that plays coco rosie!) lit only by the sun, greeted by a pretty girls who bring you water, then off to your own private room with great zen out music (none of that Enya b.s.) and settle in to the best massage of your life?

The thing I loved about In-symmetry compared to other "hot rock" spas, is that they actually work the muscles WITH the rocks instead of just having you lie on them or whatever. While I was "getting stoned" with Katie, my girlfriend was having a facial with Devon. I asked my girl friend what she thought of her experience, and she said "oh Devon and I are going to be best friends soon."

So I leave feeling drunk from relaxation, and my girlfriend left with brand new skin (and a bunch of products) and three more appointments each for the books.

Seriously people, don't ever go anywhere else. We love in-symmetry!

So this place is a little out of the way, but i was stoked because there was a good deal of parking around. Everyone was super nice when i came in. I got a massage/facial combo as a gift from my boyfriend on my birthday. Man was this EVER a great way to spend my birthday too. Everyone said Happy birthday and you could tell they went out of their way to make sure i was having a good one. I would definitely recommend going to this place. I've had a couple massages before, but never with hot rocks. I am totally a fan now. They even used hot AND cold rocks in the facial, which made for an amazing feeling in my face. I felt so pampered when i came out. So if you ever need to relax, or your looking for a gift, this is the spot to do it at! :)

I have been going to this place for years. It is not in the middle of things and it is in an area that is a little funky to find but it is a hidden gem. Hot stone and deep tissue massage like no other. I alternate between massage therapists (Jackie, Donna and Joey). They are all three deep and excellent! I only get my facials with Shana. She puts you into a state of mind that you never want to come back from. Then you wake up with glowing, hydrated skin.
The price is reasonable and the service is above and beyond it's prices.

It all started out nice as a gift from my wife for my birthday after she had reviewed this place as the #1 best sf massage on city search. This place is in a gated residential condo/loft above the industrial thug area in between 280 and 101 in SF. They have no sign or safe parking unless you drive a cheap car or accept to pay one of the homeless outside to watch it for you. I honestly did not feel safe so I had to cancel the appointment. As a result the owner charged in full not only for the time slot as some other places might, but for all services scheduled. So if this sounds like a good time to you go for it but I will stick with the extra fee and get pampered as you should in the spa's downtown.

If you are use to a full body private massage at someones home this is for you. .

After a hour of deep tissue massage u will feel relaxed and invigorated . their services and staff are great ..it is also a place were you can take your clients .After a tiring week there is no place i would like to go to but IN_SYMMETRY..i can go on and on about how great they are.i would strongly recommend them to any one.

I hate to give such a high rating because because this may make it harder for me to obtain last minute appointments in the future. I live down the penisula and not in SF. However, whenever I go shopping in the city, I drop for a facial and massage.
Last friday, Joey and Cynthia provided the services. They were both great! Each took the time to explain what they were about to do and make the enviroment completely relaxing. Joey does deep tissue, not your spa-like deep tissue. Sometime when you tell someone that you want deep tissue, the massage ends up being a light weight session. I even had to tell him to lighten up a bit, which never happens but I felt completely relaxed afterwards. Cynthia's facials were great...the products were cooling and my face felt continue to feel wonderful afterwards. I haven't had a facial in years but not only are her products cool, she does a great massage on shoulders/hands. Again, she is sensitive to individual needs...I hate that steam machine...sometimes feels suffacating...so she doesn't point it directly on my face.
This place is highly recommended because it has great people that provide outstanding service and is not like some of those 'chi-chi' spas that sometimes treat its clients like cattle to move people in and out.

Wendy is amazing!! She has such great hands - she gave me a therapeutic, deep tissue massage to work out some very old knots in my shoulders and neck. Add the hot rocks and I was in LaLaLand. It was intense at times (a good kind of intense) and she checked in with me often to make sure the pressure wasn't too deep for my comfort level. Immediately after my massage, I was dazed and didn't know which way was up. Now, a very hot shower and a few hours later, I feel energized yet totally relaxed. Thank you, Wendy, and thank you In-Symmetry!

I just had a deep tissue/hot rocks massage with Katie and am happy as a clam. She has a flowy and rhythmic style which lulled me into a deep, relaxed, hypnotic state. The arm and hand massage were wonderful - I didn't want it to end! I will definitely be back for more!!

wow - i feel so much better after an afternoon at in-symmetry. i just had a kick-ass massage with sonya t. and loved it!! her technique combines deep tissue massage with myofascial trigger point therapy. it was perfect for all the aches and pains i was having in my shoulders and arms. 5 solid stars for sonya and for in-symmetry!

(there are 2 sonya/sonja's at in-symmetry. i've heard sonja is awesome too but haven't been able to try her yet. this review is for sonya t.)

My husband and I went to San Fran for a weekend getaway and I found In-Symmetry on City Search. The best massage, friendly staff, professional therapists, relaxing environment. It was nice to get out of downtown and explore the city a little deeper. I'm ready to plan my next trip to San Francisco, just to go back to In-Symmetry for another Hot Stone Massage.

I have been going to In-Symmetry for six years now. I have watched this business grow from just Candace and Corey to many AMAZING therapists and facialists. There are 19 total, to be exact :-) I have gone to each and every person that joins the team at one point or another. I feel like it is a fun mix of people that are extremely gifted. I am a nerd and keep notes on each person so I can figure out my mood and go to the appropriate person for the week. It feels like a smorgasbord of people to choose from. I LOVE IT! Not to mention I have seen a HUGE difference in my skin since using the products Corey spent so many years searching for. They work wonders on me. AND a big huge plus is the price that allows me to go every week!
The setting is in a loft complex. So it feels just like a home away from home. The atmosphere is so relaxing. Only issue is finding the location. Tricky but once you do, you found a treasure chest!!!!

I went to In Symmetry for a massage a few weeks ago. If you're looking for real deep tissue, leaning toward sports massage, this isn't the place, but for a nice relaxing hour of "ahhh" it's perfect. The hot rocks are a warm and fuzzy twist.

Having enjoyed my massage experience, I decided to book a facial at In Symmetry. I read the raves about Corey, but couldn't get an appointment with her, so I set something up with another esthetician who works here. Though it was relaxing, I left with shiny, red skin that broke out later that afternoon. I've had facials before and not had any similar reaction, so I was surprised.

I would recommend In Symmetry for a relaxing massage because the atmosphere is inviting and the people are friendly.

Update: Candace from In Symmetry called me, after seeing my review, to find out more about my experience, saying that they strive for excellent customer service. I was really happy to hear from her, and have gone from three stars to four. Like I said, very nice people.

I would recommend In-Symmetry to anyone who has never experienced a hot stone deep tissue massage. I went in thinking what's with the hot stone business? Just give me a deep tissue massage something that I know and need. Boy was I in for a surprise for of my life. The experience was out of this world! I left very relaxed but filled with energy. My massage therapist mentioned everyone has different experiences. I was happy with mine so much so that I am going back! Speaking of the staff, they were very friendly, professional and courteous. The price was sweet also for only $50.00 for a one hour massage not including tip! The price does go up after June 15 to $10.00 but I think that is still a great deal for the city. I have to add that this special price is on the weekdays (Tuesdays? -Thursdays)from 9am -9pm. I usually pay $80.00 plus tip for a one hour massage. I would highly recommend In-Symmetry to anyone who is new or not to hot stone deep tissue massages! Enjoy!

Okay, so this place is amazing!! Really down to earth don't get a snotty vibe at all. The price is awesome! The massages are always deep and find all your knots. The staff is so inviting and sweet. I just could go on and on.....I have been coming here for about 3 months and I have all wonderful experiences. It is the perfect getaway from all of your stress.

I happened upon this through citysearch. For the price, it's well worth it. We did the $50/1 hour deal. It's a little hard to find but parking was easy and the site provides very specific directions to help you out. The staff was very friendly and my massage was relaxing. At times she pressed on my muscles a little too hard. The place tries to look very upscale but in reality it's outfitted by ikea (I recognized a lot of the furniture *smile*). But overall I thought this was a good deal especially if you can't afford a really fancy massage at a day spa.

The atmosphere is clean and well taken care of but it is not too formal or snooty. The staff of women is gracious, experienced and experts at giving massage. Parking is easy so that you can come in for an appointment chat with wonderful staff and enjoy a luxurious massage. Everyone should give it a try.

I'ts about time. This place is really nice, affordable and each therapist I have been to is AWESOME. All different but fantastic in their own way. I have been to five different therapists through the years and never left feeling like I needed more. Of course I don't want it to stop but the massages and facials are always great.
You know how San Francisco has those out of the way, rare find places that only exist in San Francisco? This is one of them!!! Have fun.

I've been to a few places in SF for deep tissue massages and have paid more $ for all of them. The deep tissue massage I got at In-Symmetry was by far the best! Not only was the Madeline great, but the prices are awesome! Where else can you go and get an hour massage for $50? It's a special they're running...regular price is $60, which is still cheaper than any other place I've gone! Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

I just got a facial at In-symmetry, and it was AMAZING!!! She waxed and tweezed my eyebrows, and it there was NO pain at all. I am a whimp when it comes to tweezing, but she made it a very relaxing expierience.

They keep me moving and have healed what doctors said could not be done. They have kept a few mildly arthritic joints flexible, pain-free and mobile. I had some repetitive stress injuries and Candace and Cory have either healed them completely or greatly slowed the degenerative process. Their services are ESSENTIAL to me and and I feel much better than I did three years ago - I even cross the bridge to get to them now! Their prices are a STEAL and the level of service, knowledge and expertise unmatched. I've experienced over 30 other massage practicioners in my life and they are by far the best. I'd follow them anywhere and feel very lucky to have their services in my arsenal of self-care tactics. Amazingly, Corey's products keep me looking radiant despite 6 years of daily sun exposure. I trust them completely and will remain a life-long customer. And I consider myself lucky to experience such talented masseurs and cosmetologists at a level usually afforded only to celebrities and the uber rich. We are definitely fortunate to have them here in the bay area.

I'll admit it, I'm a massage snob. I get massages as often as I would like because I haven't found anyone or anywhere in the Bay Area that made it worthwhile (ditto for Boston). While perusing citysearch for a place to take my boyfriend for his first massage, I came upon this place. They were able to get the two of us in on a day's notice and were WONDERFUL. Julie was great, best massage I've ever had, but the atmosphere is phenomenal in the adding to the relaxation. You are welcomed as a friend and treated that way from start to finish. Not like some pretentious and uppity spas that seem to multiply exponentially and treat you like you're doing them a favor by coming in. I will definitely be a repeat customer!

Thanks to Corey I can open my jaw without it clicking or getting stuck. I have had horrible TMJ for the last 10 years and after numerous nightguards and dentists advice I decided to try something different. Corey's TMJ massage has been an absolute g-dsent. I no longer wake up with horrible headaches from clinching my jaw all night and I can open and close my jaw without the horrible noises. If you have TMJ, please, please go see Corey and get it taken care of, there is no reason to live with the pain, there FINALLY is a solution. Thank you, thank you.

Corey and Candace are the most sanitary, professional, helpful, and friendly people I have ever met. I trust them completely and I am immediately put to ease when I walk through their place. Everything is immaculate, the beds and equipment are clean and they are always on time and ready to help out. They give great advice and are never pushy with their products or solutions. Most of the time I wish I could stay on the beds and sleep because I am so relaxed even when Corey is working her massage magic (no pain, no gain).

I highly recommend InSymmetry. I have been to spa's all over northern and southern california and no where else will you find this type of friendly service combined with professional treatment and a more relaxing, clean and pleasant atmosphere. The staff is very flexible with making appointments and willing to take last minute emergencies (which is helpful).

i am a massage snob. i admit it.

i travel all around the world and get great massages and i find this gem right in my own backyard.

i am also the pickiest person when it comes to my massages. i only like deep tissue, and most therapists don't have the right techinique to get deep down into the muscles while still making it a relaxing and soothing experience.

rhea is not one of these therapists. her technique was perfect for my finicky taste. all the tension in my muscles melted away and the added heat from the hot stones made the treatment oh-so heavenly!

i will definitely be going back for more treatments - next round will be a combo massage-facial.

I've been to a lot of places in the City (including expensive Spas like Bliss) and all I have to say is that they have nothing on In-Symmetry! I just had my Deep Tissue/Zen Hot Rocks massage with Rhea and she was absoulutely AMAZING! Don't let her petite frame fool you, her hands are really strong and she knows exactly where all your pressure points are and how to massage the stress away. I will definitely be a regular at In-Symmetry. I HIGHLY HIGHLY Recommend them--especially Rhea!

Here it is ~ The Scoop.
Candaces Massage: WOW. What a strong little girl. Not only does she fix the issue at hand but she makes you feel as though you have just gone through a re-birthing experience and life is fresh and good again.
Rheas Massage: Candace was booked, had to go to Rhea. I was not going to see her with high expectations. Blew me away. She is different than Candace but just as good. Her hands are a lot more fluid and she sends you away where Candace keeps you pretty present.
Coreys Facials: Worth the wait, Her hands make not only the oil melt but every muscle in your face melts, becomes butter under her hands, lifts, blah blah blah blah blah. And those blahs are all spectacular, amazing adjectives. Love the products!

I am back to finish my review.
Products: Making my skin better and better each day. Was not sure about them at first, grown to be obsessed with my vitamin c & e now.
Marilyn: the newest of the bunch. She is awesome. Her touch is totally different than Candace and Rhea. She has a Thai Massage background. Holistic and focused on your systems. For instance, my back was hurting and she worked on my stomach. Back pain gone. She is like the eastern doctor of the bunch.

I will be back as soon as I try McCoy.

I have come to believe that this type of therapy is very important, and I am so happy to have found a place in the city that offers really professional, affordable and awesome massage for a very affordable price. You know how you get hot and cold services at most places? I have never experienced a bad service here. I have been going to In-Symmetry for a year now (and just getting around to writing a review :-) and they are ALWAYS friendly, super helpful, knowledgeable and welcoming.

I have had massages with Candace, Rhea and Catherine. The owners, Corey and Candace, have really set the bar high on quality therapists. They make sure everyone is a very happy customer. This is so rare and a much lost quality in business owners these days. Trust me, you will not be disappointed!

Insymmetry really provides an amazing experience. The therapists are some of the best I have encountered anywhere; they go out of their way to really give your body the kind of treatment it needs. I found them while visiting the Bay Area awhile back, and I'll never go anywhere else!

I never thought I'd have good skin. As I entered my 30's, I finally started seeing the damage caused by eight years in Southern California as a beach bum. Within about 3 to 4 regular visits to Corey, my skintone had improved tremendously - I found myself with hydrated, healthy skin.

Before my experience with InSymmetry, I had found getting facials to be a pretty stressful experience because of the hard push at the end to get you to buy products. I appreciate the fact that Corey didn't do this - she didn't scold me or make me feel bad about the products I had been using. Instead, she provided some great advice and sent me away with a few samples to try. What a difference her products make! I am now a loyal user and have had no complaints about my skin in months.

I received my first facial from Corey six months ago. I have been getting a monthly facial from her ever since. It has been in the back of my mind to write a review for her. Now I am finally getting to it. My skin is progressively getting better. I went in to see her with what seemed like terrible, aging skin and now I feel like I look so much more hydrated and my lines are slowly diminishing. Her face massage is unreal. It feels great and I can really tell the blood flow is such an important part of my skins healing. I never really understood what she meant by that but now I get it. I not only get it conceptually but I see the results. I am not sure if Corey needs more clients but if you have the opportunity, go see her. She is exceptional.

I Can Not say enough good things about this place. Corey and Candace are both so knowledgeable about their specialties. You know you are in good hands and perfectly taken care of from the time you walk in until the time you regretfully have to leave.

I have full trust and respect for both of these women. They really do know what they are doing.....

Corey has the hands of a Goddess, I swear, she is the best facialist in San Francisco!!!
I trusted her with my skin right away. She knows what she is talking about. I had such bad Rosacea. From her diligence and this fabulous product line, I have not seen Rosacea in six months. I used to go to the dermatologist but Coreys treatments seem to be more effective. Corey is professional and answers all of my questions in a way no one else has. Obviously she loves what she does and is GREAT at it! Take it from me, a perfectionist, you have to see her.

Candace gives the most amazing massage. Every time I get a massage from her, I walk out floating on clouds. It is by no means fluffy.... We are talking deep tissue that follows those soothing stones. She is a true healer.
Now Corey, she gives a facial like none other. Her product knowledge and skilled hands make the perfect combo. Extractions are great, massage is fabulous and the products leave your skin feeling great for days. I highly recommend the restructuring facial. It is like manual botox.... It is hilarious! I give Candace and Corey a 10.0. My favorite day of the month is to get the massage and facial combo. You should try it!

I had a massage from Candace and I can honestly say it was the best deep tissue I have ever had and I have had alot of massage! Her hands are so strong and she is very detailed. When you are done with your massage you feel like every muscle on your body has been lengthen. She also uses rocks and they are wonderful! I highly recommended getting a massage from her.

Candace has the strongest hands I have ever felt. She gives the best sports massage. I am an avid cyclist and golfer. My swing has ver been better. She is great for my golf game! I don't know what she does but whatever it is it works!

I went to see Corey for the TMJ release, since I've been clenching my jaw for years now and it was starting to hurt. This is not a painless treatment but oh my goodness! My jaw is aligned better than it was! I'm going back for follow up because it is amazing. My jaw feels like the ball bearings got lubed up!

I am so impressed with these girls. The massage I received from Julia was one of the best massages I have ever had!! Julia's hands are amazing. She knows exactly where to go on your body...it is like the knots are talking to her and then....the facial I received from Corey made my face feel firm and lifted for weeks! I love In-Symmetry! I feel like I finally found what I am been looking for!

I have had TMJ for three years. I never thought I was going to get out of pain. I was scrolling around Citysearch to find a good place to get a facial and stubbled across In-Symmetry. Not only did I get an amazing facial but I began my series of TMJ treatments. I am pain free today! I am so grateful and can not express the freedom I have from waking up and not feeling my sore jaw or tender teeth. I used to clench while driving... no more!

I can not say enough good things about this treatment.

I was battling with a bad TMJ problem for over two years. I went to Drs, Dentists and even tried cranial sacral therapy. I have spent so much time and money on trying to find relief. My first TMJ therapy session was AMAZING, to put it mildly. It was slightly painful but nothing like the pain I have been living with for the past two years. I actually walked away for the first time in two years feeling NO Pain. I couldnt believe it.
The following week I got a facial from her and she included the TMJ therapy. Okay people, no one can do a facial like this! The facial massage is out of this world. Between the massage, hot &cold stones, you forget you exist while you are receiving it. I hope this helps others get out of pain. Thank you Corey for all of your help!

I've never been so relaxed and comfortable as in the presence of Candace and Corey. The atmosphere feels clean and sterile yet homey. The several hot rock massages I've receive from Candace have been perfect. That slight girl has strong hands! She is an expert in knowing exactly where I need work and I always feel rejuvinated after a session. Days after Corey's facials I still receive comments of how my skin is glowing. The products she uses are wonderful and her knowledge and enthusiasum of skin care makes the facial both fun and relaxing. As a added bonus, each time I visit Insymmetry I learn something new to benefit my own body.

What a little slice of heaven in the city! Candace's hands and wonderful hot rocks are soothing and skilled, as is her friendly, calming presence. I have had many massages in my life, but have never had such a wonderful experience as I have with Cory and Candace! The atmosphere is calm and spritual as is their work and demeanor.
The facial service was custom tailored to me, and my skin was positively glowing. The hot stone therapy is a soothing addition to the massage, and the tmj release is something that everyone should expeience! I have already recommended it to several friends, and they have thanked me many times over.
I can't say enough good things about these girls, they truly are gifted! Thank you for making me feel like a new person!

You truly have not experienced hands like those girls before. This dynamic duo just knows how to pick you up, put you back together and send you off feeling like a million $$$$.

I am a VERY picky person. In two years I have never walked away from a massage or facial feeling unsatisfied! Although I would like it to start all over again once it is done.....

Ive been seeing Candice for massage and its change my life. Im a hairsylist and I thought I wasnt going to be able to continue working my body was hurting all the time,now that im getting regular massages I feel great! Ill be working for many more years to come. Cori does my facials and she does an amazing job. Her knowlege of skin is incredible,and you havent had a face massage until youve had one from her. Best of all I can get my massage and facial in one place.

This is definitely a place a dancer (me!) would go to get a really GREAT massage. I was very relieved to discover In-Symmetry last year. They are skilled, resourceful and well-educated. They are genuine and friendly...not fake. Every massage I have had has been effective and purposeful, not spa-like. The environment is small, private,comfortable and clean. Their services do not waist your time and they making sure you are one happy and satisfied customer every single time you go.

My facial with Corey was amazing. I clench my jaw and have constant headaches. In the facial the jaw release was so effective in releasing all tension in my face. What a relief and you really do see a face-lift effect from it. Amazing. Putting aside the facial massage, the facial itself was great. I have had many facial treatments before, but I have never had so many comments on how fresh and healthy my skin looked, as after my treatment at In-Symmetry.

Wow!!! My friend bought me a gift certificate for a facial and let me tell you that was a fantastic gift. Corey was so knowledgeable and the jaw release was amazing... I have never had anyone release the tension in my face like that. The hot and cold stones on my face were incredibly invigorating and relaxing all at the same time. All of my senses became alive at once.

I felt like I had gone on vacation! Afterwards my skin looked so clean, hydrated and felt so baby soft. Now this is my new favorite monthly ritual...
