I've never been totally satisfied with an eyebrow wax - until I started going to Skye. I've been going to Jennifer for about 2 months now and she's AWESOME! No redness, splotchiness, or itching. HIGHLY recommend coming in to see her.

Jessica is the stylist I see and I LOVE the job she does! My hair always comes out looking AMAZING.

If either of these two were to leave Skye, I'd follow them to their next salon - I'm THAT pleased with their service!

Victoria is an awesome stylist. I'm always changing my hair color from brownish to reddish to blondish and she always gets it just how I want it! I highly recommend her to anyone who is in need of a stylist!

i just moved to the austin area and was looking for a new salon and happened to try sky salon. i just took my chances with the first available appt. for color and got Rebekah. I was very nervous at first having my hair done by someone new, my hair is kind of damaged and i needed highlights. she did a great job and my hair felt amazing afterwards. I will definilty keep going back. Rebekah did an awesome job, i've gotten so many compliments on my hair.

I get my hair cut and colored by Victoria at Sky Salon and have been happy every time. I change my hair color and cut around all of the time and she always knows exactly what to do and I always always love the end product! She is also great with my curly hair, which I know is hard to find. She is the best colorist I have been to and I have been dying my hair for years!

Rebekah saved my hair!! I had a dreadful cut and color with another stylist and I went to Rebekah nearly in tears to see if she could fix it. She got to work with surgeon like precision and carefully corrected my color AND my cut. I have been going to her now for about a year and I LOVE my hair every time I leave. She's located at Skye which is an awesome salon with a boutique store front. Very cute couture clothing and jewelry. Check it out and ask for Rebekah Glanville!!

Kerry is so great at cutting my hair. She and the rest of the staff at Skye are so flexable with appointments. I am from California so you know I have to have sick hair and this is the only place that i will let tuch it. Kerry is a really cool Texas lady that takes care of me even though im from Cali. Get ur hair cut by Kerry and people will notice!

This is tough to admit, but I am starting to get some gray in my hair. I wouldn't dare go to the store and buy Just for Men. I go to Laura for my haircuts and she suggested putting some color in my hair. I was skeptical at first, but I said, what the hell. The results were amazing. I have received many compliments on my hair since I did it. I recommend Laura not only for her men's haircuts, but for color.

I go to get my haircut at Skye. My stylist told me that they do hair removal. I made an appointment with Jennifer for a back wax. She was very professional and thorough. Although this only my 2nd time getting waxed, I highly recommend her to anyone looking for waxing services. Jennifer is great!

NW Austin has traditionally suffered from a lack of experienced, skilled and professional hair stylists for men. Barbershop cuts have never been for me and traveling downtown for professional stylists was becoming a pain...

But no more -- Skye Salon is the best in North West Austin.

I was lucky enough to find Laura, who hails from the metropolis of hair -- L.A. Laura is extremely skilled, professional and just as importantly a genuinely nice individual. All the staff and personnel are exceptionally friendly and professional.

As can be deduced by my moniker, nanaever, I'm advancing in years a bit, being past the time where I can pull off very well having a long mane. Some women can sport long hair when they're getting older, but I found that more often than not, to get ready to go somewhere I was pulling my hair back or putting it up. My face can't pull that off, and needs the soft framing of a quicker to style shorter cut. Miranda at Skye really "gets" older women, understanding that we don't all want the "menopausal helmet." Her skill in creating a haircut that was modern and what I wanted is at a very high level! I can't say enough in praise of her abilities.

Skye Salon & Boutique is by far the best salon I have been to. My whole family goes to Miranda, and we all love her! She always listens to what you want, and is very personable. Miranda is great at cutting and coloring hair. I love the atmosphere at Skye, everyone is so genuinely sweet! Unlike other salons, it is so easy to make appointments. You're missing out if you don't come here!

I've been to alot of different salons and by far Rebekah at Skye Salon is my #1, she does an awesome job at listening at what you would like her to do, she has done lots of different things with my hair and I have been 100% pleased EACH time! I really recommend you call Skye & ask for an appointment with Rebekah, you will have no regrets.

I needed color correction and my cut wasn't working like it should. I found Skye Salon and Miranda Cysiewski on this website. The color and cut she did are perfect ! I left feeling happy and pretty. She is wonderful and I really liked the boutique section too. Great clothes and accessories !

Inside is nice but not as "bright" as other locations I've been to. That may just be a personal thing for me. Could be more inviting from the outside, but the service makes up for it. The esthetician staff has improved in the last 3 months, and the front is a bit busy. My best experience thus far is with Jennifer. She works great with guys and gals.

Overall an excellent, and comfortable experience!

This was my first time going to Skye Salon & Bourtique since they changed their name from Aesthetica. I was able to book my appointment immediately during my lunch break. The staff was friendly and knoledgeable. Jennifer, the aesthetician, has had 10 years of experience and it was clearly evident. She was friendly, fast and professional. The space was clean and comfortable - even though the service I chose was not the most comfortable (if you know what I mean, and I think you do, girls ; ). I booked my second appointment and have already made a recommendation to a friend at work for her services. So excited to have found a new place, by work, reasonably priced! Yay!

Skye salon has given me the best results I have ever gotten at any salon! And trust me, I do not skimp on such an important "accessory" as hair! I've tried them all--Visible Changes, Avant Spa, Salon 505, and Skye is by far above and beyond all of these.
I hate to even share with you the name of my stylist, because I know if word gets out, she may not have any appointments left for me! But, I mustn't keep her a secret from all those deserving people out there who need to have a great salon experience. Miranda is her name, and she is a goddess stylist. I work in a public facing job, and even people who see me every 6 months comment on how great my hair looks now that I see Miranda. It's amazing. Here are my pros: Miranda is such a doll--she listens to what I want and is super easy to talk to. She goes that extra step to make sure its exactly what we were going for. There is never any pressure to do anything extra like buy a product or color my hair when really I don't need it yet. She really does what is best for me. I'm not kidding when I say make an appointment with her now, because if word gets out you may lose your chance.
As for Skye Salon as a whole. It is very unassuming from the outside, and you're not really having to pay for a super trendy location or furniture, but that's the beauty of it. It's comfortable and friendly so you can just be yourself. Don't get me wrong, it is super cute inside, especially with their adorable boutique at the front. They definitely have that southern hospitality that other salons are missing. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful--what more can I say.

Walking into Skye Salon your welcomed by friendly people and an adorable boutique. I have gone to Victoria a few times and though being extremely picky with my hair she always does a GREAT job, the best highlights and haircut every time. She is truly talented at what she does. I have no complaints and will keep coming back!!!

Kerry was able to take me from drab to fabulous within about 20 minutes. My previous stylist did not take the time nor had the artistic skills to assess what I needed. Within a few minutes, Kerry was able to assess not only what I needed but work with what the previous stylist had obviously messed up. Kerry's talent became so obvious when I came back to Colorado and have been asked on a daily basis - where to you get your hair cut? And whoever is doing it now, you better keep them because you look fabulous and so much younger, sexier and alive (instead of frumpy and old). Hadn't heard that for over a year - did that ever make me feel on top of the world... Now comes the challenge - how do I find somebody in Colorado to give me the same great style? You folks in Austin are very LUCKY to have such a talented stylist - right there @ Skye Salon.

I have been going to this salon for many years now. They are all extremely friendly and professional. I attempted to dye my hair myself once and it came out horrible so I called the salon right away and got in to see Victoria within a few days. She did a WONDERFUL job fixing my bad dye job!! She was very patient and I left there feeling like a million bucks!

They recently hired a new aesthetician, Jennifer Mendez, and she is AWESOME! I get regular bikini waxes and she is great at making you feel very comfortable. She is very friendly and easy to talk to. Go see Jennifer for all your skin care needs!!!

I recently re-discovered Skye (formerly Aesthetica) and I'm completely impressed. I got a great cut and an amazing color by Laura; overall just a really positive salon experience. The owner and stylists are friendly, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the prices were right on par with other salons. I will definitely be back. Laura was knowledgeable, fun to talk to, and most importantly gave me a great cut and exactly the color I was looking for.

I was looking for a place after moving here from another state and my daughter recommended I see Kerry at Skye. I am always skeptical in trying a new place but with the recommendation from my daughter, was in need of getting my color done.. As it is with every new stylist we see, we get very anxious to see results.Let me say, I WAS VERY SATISFIED!! The color looked great, and the haircut was fabulous as well! After reading many positive reviews on Citysearch, I decided to give Skye Salon a try. It definitely lives up to the great reviews! I was met by smiling faces and felt at ease from the very beginning. Laura was great! She had me sit in front of the mirror before washing my hair to discuss what I was wanting. I asked her to do something new with my hair, and I left with the best cut I've ever had! She even straightened my curly hair just to make sure the cut met her expectations. Laura is a great stylist, and she is also a lot of fun to talk to. I am so happy with the results, and so is my husband! I will definitely be back.

Miranda knows her way around styling hair. She is attentive to detail and listens to what you want.
Skye has been a wonderful experience. I'll return!

I also saw Jennifer for a facial. She was professional and restful. A truly relaxing experience that left me glowing and revived. If you want someone who knows skin care, she's the one.

I especially like the fact that Skye Salon text or email reminders 2 days before your scheduled appointment. Very convenient and great service.

I'm so glad I found Laura at Skye Salon! She has perfected her craft and I give her all my trust. I have very fine hair but she layers it well and provides good body through the cut. Laura also colored my hair this time around and did a lovely job blending the blonde highlights in so that it's not shocking but it is noticeable and complementary to my skin tone. She knows what she's doing.
Requesting the appointment online was convenient and staff are professional yet fun.
It makes my day walking into Skye knowing that I'll come out with a bounce in my step!

When your hair is seen by thousands of very critical eyes on morning television, finding a great stylist is key. I'm really happy I met Laura Anderson at Skye Salon. She spent a good amount of time talking to me about where we might want to go with the color, cut and style. She really listened, gave me some good styling tips and we laughed a lot, too. She is very experienced and did one heck of a job. I love the color and have found the style very easy to fix on my own at 4am! I've gotten great compliments and can't wait to return.

Jennifer Mendez gave me a great shape and color for my eyebrows, too. A nice quiet place for that all-important waxing. She has a nice touch and uses great products.

I've been going to Skye (formerly Aesthetica) for about 2.5 years now and wouldn't go anywhere else. I've specifically been going to Jessica at Skye for that time - she's the best colorist and stylist I've come across in town. I won't let anybody else touch my hair. She listens to what I want from my hair and then lets me know whether it would work with my hair type. The compliments I receive after a cut or highlights (I get a partial) from her are awesome.

Even when I let my highlights grow out a little bit (I know, bad) they look more natural because of the great placement. I would definitely recommend Skye and Jessica for your next cut and highlights!

Jessica has been cutting my hair for about a year now and she does an excellent job. I've had many experiences before coming here with bad haircuts and stylists that focused more on other conversations than my hair. I don't have to worry about that anymore - Jessica listens to what I want and I always walk out feeling great. Everyone is very friendly.

Laura is a professional. She really knows what she's doing when it comes to the hair business!! :) I came and got a haircut and some highlights and simply fell in love with the final outcome. I have never walked out of a salon and truly LOVED the way that my hair turned out! I will definitely be returning!!!! Rebekah is awesome! I have seen her twice now and she is always so sweet and does a wonderful job on my hair. Thomas is also so nice and welcoming. He even let me decide what I wanted to listen to on the radio when I got there because I was the first customer of the day (Hair Nation!). Everyone is always so welcoming and you can tell they really appreciate your business. I've been a customer since the salon was first opened and was under previous ownership. From the day the doors opened this has been a great place to go and their stylist do amazing work. I will definitely remain a loyal customer!

I wanted find a good place to get a quality Men's haircut. I decided to give Skye a shot. It did not disappoint.

They were able to get me in for an appointment when I wanted without any hassle. They were ready for me when I arrived. The place looks nice, it looks like it was recently remodeled.

Miranda did my hair. She is very nice and did a fabulous job. She washed my hair, cut it, and then rinsed it again to get the hair pieces out. The cut was great.

I really can't complain about anything. The price is more than I've spent in the past, but you get what you pay for. I will return.

Oh, and mention that you saw the listing on Citysearch and they'll give you 20% your first time (no hassle).

I found Aesthetica via Citysearch and thought i'd give it a shot because they had so many great reviews, I went to Victoria because she was recommended for highlights and color. She listened so well to what I wanted and did an AMAZING job, my hair looked so healthy and shiny after highlighting it and she does a great job getting the highlights so close to the roots! I've been going to her now for about a year, I defininitely recommend Aesthetica and Victoria!!!

Many of my friends were going to this salon for sometime but I hesitated because I was satisfied with my current salon...up until my hairdresser gave me a really bad cut and I finally gave in. I just walked in one day in December 2008, almost in tears, hoping that someone will fix horrible disaster I just paid for at my old salon. Receptionist recommended Cristina and scheduled my appointment for the following day. Cristina talked to me, analyzed my hair and then went to work. She did amazing job fixing my hair first time and couple days ago I went to see her for my maintenance trim, and she didn't dissapoint.

I moved to Austin in May 2008. I was in serious need of a talented stylist that could get my hair in top condition for my wedding. So, I looked and looked until I found a girl who had awesome highligts and I asked her who she went to - Jessica at Aesthetica. I made an appointment right away and from the moment I met her she had won me over. First, she was very welcoming and cool, making the experience fun and relaxed from the start. Second, she was very precise with her highlights, she let me know that she follows her pattern each visit and that actually makes the grow out look more natural. She wasn't lying, I can go way longer between visits than I ever could. And lastly, she recommended product that actually worked. All in all Jessica is an extraordinary hairdresser who will keep my business, no matter how bad the economy gets...she is worth it! :)

I hadn't done much of anything with my hair in about about five years and I decided it was time for a change. After much research, I decided to schedule an appointment at Aesthetica with Victoria. I had some grey hair, with a lot of damage from a bad perm, and my haircut was grown out. After a thorough consultation with Victoria we decided for a warm reddish brown color and shorter, layered cut. I left the salon feeling and looking better than I had in years! This salon has such a pleasant atmosphere, doesn't intimidate "style challenged" and makes me feel very accomodated. I look forward to my return. Thank you Victoria!

I am new to Austin and thought I would try Aesthetica based on their great location and excellent reputation on City Search. I have used City Search to find just about everything since moving here. I am growing my hair from a very short stacked bob. I have highlighted blonde hair and have not been happy with my color in years. The salon owner recommended Jessica to me as she is conservative in her cuts and excellent with highlights. I have never been happier. I receive complements daily on my hair and refer people to Aesthetica all of the time. I have also had the pleasure of seeing Stefany the esthetician who did a wonderful facial! I highly recommend this salon.

I heard about this salon from my coworkers, my whole office goes there. I called to make my appointment for color and the receptionist asked me about my hair and suggested that I see Ashley. I met with her following day and told her that I needed something different but I wasn't exactly sure of what it was. Ashley told me that I need to deepen the tones of my hair to compliment my skin and eyes. She also told me that I needed to shorten the layers to give me some body. She did exactly what we talked about and as a finished result, my hair is perfect and easy to style at home. I appreciated her subtle yet direct approach, as she is the professional. She taught me what I needed to use to achieve this look at home. This is the difference. Ashley was great to be around and I am going back in 5 weeks for another session. Aesthetica is a comfortable and relaxing salon, without downtown attitude and insane prices.

I have been a blonde since my teen years and I have never had blonde as pretty as I do now. I know the south is the "home of the blonde", but I didn't have a lot of luck finding a good colorist in Austin until I went to see Victoria at Aesthetica. I love my highlights. I have several shades of blonde woven through and it looks so natural. Thank you

I relocated to Austin 4 years ago and I have been in search for a hair salon that has excellent stylists, are courteous & most importantly a salon that knows how valuable your time is. I found all of this at Aesthetica. I was skeptical at first, but to my surprise it is the best salon that I've ever been to since moving here, maybe not as trendy and hip as Downtown salons, but talent and level of service simply outstanding. I have visited several times with different stylists & my visits were all great (seen Lindsey, Victoria and Stefanie for facials). The best thing of all, no waiting!!! If your appointment is at 5:00pm, they mean 5:00pm.
Victoria gave me recently wonderful, natural highlights and very easy to style haircut. I've never cut my hair short & was nervous at first and didnt even know how i wanted it cut. It worked out perfect!
I would definitely recommend this salon. Im so glad I finally found a hair salon that embodies everything I want.

I have to say that Aesthetica disappointed me. Twice. I was excited to find a salon so close to my house and even more excited when I read all these great reviews. I made an appointment for a haircut, and I was really looking forward to it. However, my hairstylist was possibly the most unfriendly stylist I have ever had. I gave up trying to make conversation. The cut was mediocre, and I paid over $80 for it. Even though my first visit wasn't great, I made another appointment to have my hair colored and give them a second chance. Once again, the colorist was not interested in being friendly (is this a trend?) and I felt like I was overcharged. Mind you, I did my research and knew the base price for each service. I just figured I would be on the lower side of the expense scale since my hair is short and fine - not a lot to deal with. But I ended up shelling out nearly $100 for a color job that honestly looks like box color from Walgreens that I used in middle school. In conclusion, I think my search for the perfect salon with the perfect hairstylist must continue...

I have been to several stylists in Austin and none of them could get my hair to the exact shade of blonde that I wanted. I chose this hair salon for the first time at random and Christina got my color exactly perfect the first time! I came in with some ugly blonde highlights and left with beautiful, bright, shiny,and very natural looking blonde highlights! She also gave me an amazing new cut along with my new color, I left feeling very glamorous! Got compliments on my hair from total strangers at HEB!
Christina is very nice, positive and listens to you, I felt like she knew what I wanted before I told her. She knew the exact color and cut that would fit me and I left feeling like I had a new, hip hairstyle! She also fit me late in the evening, which was extremely accomodating of her. Overall I liked a lot my new stylist, decor of the salon, friendly staff.
