I am new to Austin and thought I would try Aesthetica based on their great location and excellent reputation on City Search. I have used City Search to find just about everything since moving here. I am growing my hair from a very short stacked bob. I have highlighted blonde hair and have not been happy with my color in years. The salon owner recommended Jessica to me as she is conservative in her cuts and excellent with highlights. I have never been happier. I receive complements daily on my hair and refer people to Aesthetica all of the time. I have also had the pleasure of seeing Stefany the esthetician who did a wonderful facial! I highly recommend this salon.

I heard about this salon from my coworkers, my whole office goes there. I called to make my appointment for color and the receptionist asked me about my hair and suggested that I see Ashley. I met with her following day and told her that I needed something different but I wasn't exactly sure of what it was. Ashley told me that I need to deepen the tones of my hair to compliment my skin and eyes. She also told me that I needed to shorten the layers to give me some body. She did exactly what we talked about and as a finished result, my hair is perfect and easy to style at home. I appreciated her subtle yet direct approach, as she is the professional. She taught me what I needed to use to achieve this look at home. This is the difference. Ashley was great to be around and I am going back in 5 weeks for another session. Aesthetica is a comfortable and relaxing salon, without downtown attitude and insane prices.

I have been a blonde since my teen years and I have never had blonde as pretty as I do now. I know the south is the "home of the blonde", but I didn't have a lot of luck finding a good colorist in Austin until I went to see Victoria at Aesthetica. I love my highlights. I have several shades of blonde woven through and it looks so natural. Thank you

I relocated to Austin 4 years ago and I have been in search for a hair salon that has excellent stylists, are courteous & most importantly a salon that knows how valuable your time is. I found all of this at Aesthetica. I was skeptical at first, but to my surprise it is the best salon that I've ever been to since moving here, maybe not as trendy and hip as Downtown salons, but talent and level of service simply outstanding. I have visited several times with different stylists & my visits were all great (seen Lindsey, Victoria and Stefanie for facials). The best thing of all, no waiting!!! If your appointment is at 5:00pm, they mean 5:00pm.
Victoria gave me recently wonderful, natural highlights and very easy to style haircut. I've never cut my hair short & was nervous at first and didnt even know how i wanted it cut. It worked out perfect!
I would definitely recommend this salon. Im so glad I finally found a hair salon that embodies everything I want.

I just saw Christina this past weekend so she could help me transition back into a brunette. :) She did a great job with the color - I asked her to try and match my natural color and she got it perfectly! I've gotten lots of compliments on it. Very happy! Tack s? jatte mycket!

I have to say that Aesthetica disappointed me. Twice. I was excited to find a salon so close to my house and even more excited when I read all these great reviews. I made an appointment for a haircut, and I was really looking forward to it. However, my hairstylist was possibly the most unfriendly stylist I have ever had. I gave up trying to make conversation. The cut was mediocre, and I paid over $80 for it. Even though my first visit wasn't great, I made another appointment to have my hair colored and give them a second chance. Once again, the colorist was not interested in being friendly (is this a trend?) and I felt like I was overcharged. Mind you, I did my research and knew the base price for each service. I just figured I would be on the lower side of the expense scale since my hair is short and fine - not a lot to deal with. But I ended up shelling out nearly $100 for a color job that honestly looks like box color from Walgreens that I used in middle school. In conclusion, I think my search for the perfect salon with the perfect hairstylist must continue...

I have been to several stylists in Austin and none of them could get my hair to the exact shade of blonde that I wanted. I chose this hair salon for the first time at random and Christina got my color exactly perfect the first time! I came in with some ugly blonde highlights and left with beautiful, bright, shiny,and very natural looking blonde highlights! She also gave me an amazing new cut along with my new color, I left feeling very glamorous! Got compliments on my hair from total strangers at HEB!
Christina is very nice, positive and listens to you, I felt like she knew what I wanted before I told her. She knew the exact color and cut that would fit me and I left feeling like I had a new, hip hairstyle! She also fit me late in the evening, which was extremely accomodating of her. Overall I liked a lot my new stylist, decor of the salon, friendly staff.

I've been coming to Aesthetica Hair & Skin Salon and have been impressed with the staff , the quality of the treatments and services they provide, and the prices they charge. I always leave looking great and the prices are very reasonable compared to a lot of other salons in Austin. The location is easy to access off of North 183 and the shopping center is well maintained. SO nice not to have to go all the way downtown to get a good hair cut and color!

I've had my hair highlighted out to blond for about a year. My old hair stylist recently switched to massage, and the new girl I tried after that completely messed up my hair. When I came in to see Victoria I had big dark roots and about two inches of solid brassy color where the other girl had messed up an all over lift. Victoria gave me highlights and lowlights that evened out my hair color. She also took the time to put in extra foils to get all of the weird color out. The cut was great too. I wasn't even sure exactly what I wanted to have done, or how my hair could be fixed, but now it looks like nothing bad ever happened to it. I am so happy to be able to look in the mirror and feel good about my hair again. I also got a 20% discount as a first time client, which was an excellent value. I will be coming back regularly. I went to Aesthetica based on reviews I read on this site. I was not disappointed. I have been in Austin over a year, but still didn't want to give up my old salon. I'm VERY picky. Needless to say, driving 3 hours was not economical, and I needed to find a permanent place here. Because of her reputation on this site, I booked an appointment with Victoria (one day in advance). Victoria listened to what I wanted, gave some input, and then went to work. I love the color and the cut. I will definitely be going back to Aesthetica from now on.

I found this salon via Citysearch about 2 years go, and my experiences have lived up to all the other rave reviews on the site. I have to admit, I'm very high-maintenance when it comes to my hair, and have been to several salons and stylists before finding this gem. My stylist, Cameron, is an artist with hair; she's ABSOLUTELY GENIUS with color and styles my hair beautifully. She's so thoughtful and thorough, and truly considers the placement of every piece of hair with both cut and color. I've colored my hair with Cameron numerous times (first time after a year of coloring out of the box -- yes, I know -- because of a horrible experience I had at another salon), and each time was truly brilliant. I've been trying to achieve natural-looking, multi-color highlights in my dark hair since I was 16, and I was MOVED by how PERFECT my hair color turned out with her. Not only is the color fabulous, but the cut (my latest style is much shorter and daring, Posh like) is exactly what I was looking for, and Cameron took into consideration my face shape, hair type and facial features! My boyfriend gets his hair cut with Lindsey, and the results are just as stunning. Every detail, every suggestion is thoughtfully and meticulously incorporated into the cut. And of course, there's the ATMOSPHERE ... friendly people, positive vibe, fun and interesting art.
If you're lacking a truly great experience at your current salon, I would highly recommend making an appointment here with Cameron or Lindsey.

I love getting my hair color done by Lindsey at Aesthetica! What sets her apart is her attention to detail, and her experience and knowledge of the color process and products. Every time I go to her I get treated like good old friend. She takes the time on every visit to talk to me about what we are going to do. She assesses the state of my hair ? the color, current season, how it looks with my skin and doesn?t give me ?more of the same?, like so many other colorists. Every time I go I am confident that I will have the best blonde highlights and all stubborn gray covered! This salon is also so easy to get to and is a low-stress environment with a really friendly and fun staff. If you are blonde, you have to go to Lindsey ? hands down, I?ve sent tons of my friends there.

I have been going to a prominent Austin hair salon for many, many years only to be continuously disappointed by recent high turnover and a continued rushed atmosphere. Not at Aesthetica. I have been pleasantly surprised by the relaxing environment, pleasant staff, great product (I love Redken and Dermalogica) and most importantly consistent haircuts, color with Lindsay and most pampering facials with Stephanie! My hair looks fabulous weeks and even months after getting a cut. If you are looking for a salon give them a try. I hesitantly did and was highly pleased. I hope to be a customer with them for many years to come. So happy I found them

I highly recommend Victoria at this salon. I moved here from California and have been going to Victoria for about a year now and she is as consistent and detailed with my highlights and cut as she was the first day I sat in her chair. Always professional and cheerful, she makes me feel as though she showed up to work just for me. I can honestly say I have never been disappointed with her work, this is a stylist that knows her craft and would rival any of the stylist I have used in California!

A recent transplant to Austin, I was having a terrible time figuring out where to get my hair cut and lightened. I tried a couple of places that were recommended to me but left them feeling the way you do when your hair just isn't good. Anyways, after reading the posts by previous reviewers, I gave aesthetica a shot. Victoria gave me beautiful blond highlights, great trim and made me feel as though we were old friends. I was a little nervous walking into this salon for the first time. You know the feeling, am i dressed ok are they going to be snooty? But luckily I was made to feel right at home, greeted with a smile and offered something to drink. The place is cool to look at , great colors, arts, music. Jessica did my color and cut, and made me feel confident that I could style it easily at home. She took her time explaining what she thought would work best for me, but also listened to what I had in mind. I didn't feel pressured into buying a ton of stuff Iwould probably never use. She made me feel attractive again!!!!!!! I am a stay at home mom who hasn't made very much time for myself lately, so thank you Jessica for making me feel at home and put together.

I had Lindsey as my stylist and I whole-heartedly agree with her reviewers. She cut and colored my hair. I explained what I needed and liked in my hair, and she cut it in a style that continues to look great three weeks later. I explained that I didn't have much more time than blow-drying my hair in the morning and she sculpted a hairstyle that looks fabulous fixed and has great shape and texture not fixed. She spent the time to get my hair absolutely perfect. I also made the comment that my hair was too fine for a razor and Linsey meticulously shaped my hair with scissors. I am still positively amazed at the skill and patience she had doing it. I put myself wholly in her capable hands; the color she chose for my hair looks amazing even now that my hair is growing out my hair continues to look great. I fully intend to continue going to her for at the very least the rest of my school career.

I was just visiting Austin from Houston and decided to get a hair cut and highlight at this salon. They were offering a 20% discount for first- timers, so I took a chance and I am glad I did. Jimmy was my stylist. He was fun loving, smart, and I left saying ,"wow." He had me from the start with his shampoo and scalp massage. I knew I was in good hands at that point, and he suggested adding highliths to my hair. It was the right choice. The haircut was also the best one I have ever had. I will be back.

Aesthetica has been my choice of hair salon for over 3 years and the experience has been great! It's time to speak out about the best hair colorist and stylist there and that is Victoria!!!! She has performed over and over and always made my hair color and hair style look fantastic! Today was no exception! Since moving to Cedar Park three years ago I have been on a search for a stylist. Cameron answered my prayers! She is phenomenal. She does what you want with your hair, but will make subtle suggestions that are always right on the money. My husband sees Jessica and is always happy with his hair as well.

I stumbled upon Aesthetica after lunch at Cheddars. I work in the neighborhood and was needing some major highlight/color work on my hair forever. I decided to step in and inquire about their services and prices. The minute I came in I was greeted with delight and respect. Having had no appointment, Lindsey, took me in. She was very professional and had great ideas. I am very delighted with my new hair color and highlights. The atmosphere of the salon was non-pretentious and comfortable. The services were reasonably priced with great attention to personal care. I would highly recommend Aesthetica and Lindsey to my family and friends.

Each and every one of my trips to Aesthetica is always over the top. The decor, the customer service, the trend setting staff sets the bar for a quality "hair experience". Cameron has been styling my hair for years and I wouldn't have it any other way! She is up to date on current hair styles/trends, allowing me to sit down and let her go to town without hesitation. I've been a loyal customer of a famous salon here in town and my stylist up and left without leaving information on where he works now, leaving me stranded! I found Aesthetica threw word of mouth and I am so happy I did! I've been going to see Cameron for awhile now and everytime she does an amazing job. From cut to color I'm in love. If you want a professional job done, and done right, go to Cameron. She's the best and has been with Aesthetica since day one.

I recently came to this salon as a new customer , and I am so pleased with my color and cut. I've been coloring my hair myself (out of a box!!!) for the past year and a half , and I had gotten tired of the lifeless, dull color that always came out. I decided it was time for a change so I made an appointment with first available stylist, Lisa. She evaluated my hair and recommended highlights and lowlights. It came out spectacular! I needed to color my roots fast and as usual waited to the last minute. Called them on a Saturday and they got me an appointment that day with Jessica. I love the color/cut and the stylist was professional and personable. My hair is very fine and fragile and I have experienced terrible breakage with past colorists and very artificial-looking highlights. I went to Lindsey and asked her for very natural, all-over highlights and she did a wonderful job. The outcome was just as I had wanted and couldn't get from other stylists. It was very natural and the color seemed to flow throughout instead of just at the roots, I think she said she used lowlights to blend it all in? Anyways, I will definitely go back to see Lindsey, she really listened to what I wanted while using caution on my fragile hair.

I've got a lot of hair, and it always take a long time to get it cut, colored & styled not to mention that dimensional blond thats so pretty. For the first few years I lived in Austin I couldn't find anyone to do it right and make me feel good and comfortable with it, and then I had Susana do my hair at Aesthetica. Not only did she do a great job, but was wonderful to be around and accommodating (especially with how long it takes). Here's the best part, she's always like that! I've been back several times to see her and she's just as wonderful each time. She really cares about hair and making sure people are going to be happy with theirs.

I have been to Asthetica few times and loved the experience, then I switched to a different salon when I moved closer to downtown...Big mistake! Finally I decided I needed to go back to Aesthetica and made an appointment with Lindsey. I'm very happy! She is very focused and attentive, listened to my hair "issues" and fixed everything in one visit. My new color and highlights are very natural and I had no problem to style my new cut at home. I'll never stray again!

Being a recent resident of the Austin area (Round Rock), I have been able to experience a few of the so called "top rated" salons in the city. However, I have just really never seem to click with a stylist. Either the cut was a little too edgy/funky or the color would just be an unnatural brassy tone. I had just about given up, when a co-worker of mine, Brooke came back a little late from her "lunch" with absolutely stunning hair! Within minutes I had made my appointment with her colorist, Victoria. when I had arrived, Victoria made me feel right at home and really gave me one-on-one attention. From the first few minutes of our consultation, I knew I was in great hands! We went over some options for my "blond options" and I was totally impressed with our end results. The perfect mix of highlights and low lights gave my hair depth and dimension. She showed me a few techniques to style my hair! Thank you Victoria! You have a client for life!

I've been three times and I have no idea why I went back. The first time I went to Bebea- She was great, but is no longer there. The second time, I went because I had a wedding and wanted a trim and style. Since Lindsay's next client had arrived, I left with a wet head. While I can respect staying on schedule, you shouldn't scoot your customer out the door unhappy. The whole reason I went in the first place was to have it styled! The third time I visited I was in there for 3 hours because 1. Susana was running 30 minutes behind and 2. Susana decided to leave me under the dryer while she cut another customers hair!!! My highlights were ruined!! She tried to hide the fact that she screwed up by making jokes. I had to go sit back in the chair with another customers hair all over the place. (I had to pay full price.) It's funny that the employees act totally different when Maggie (the manager) is not there. Do not see Susana. You would think by reading the other reviews they are amazing. Sorry, I don't see it. I've given them chance after chance.

Susan is fantastic!!! I have lived in Austin and the surrounding areas most of my life. As a result I have been to almost every upscale salon in town. My first impression of Aesthetica was a little rocky because I couldn't find them (Thanks Mapquest!!!). But when I walked in a smiling face greeted me and the decor of the space was very warm, with nice art pieces around - stunning paintings by local artists. Everyone working in the salon seemed genuinely happy to be there. I truly believe any salon can have the ?look good? factor going for them, but I think beauty is only skin deep. A good salon is only as good as the professionals that work in the space. My appointment was with Susan, she took the time to consult with me she asked me questions about my daily life and what has worked and not worked in the past. She was full of ideas and it made me think of things I haven?t thought of before. She isn?t the kind of hairstylist that is timid. She really tells it like it is and I appreciated that about her. I left with the best color I have had in years and a very easy and cute new cut.

I have had so many so-so cut and colors over the years. There have only been a few that say WOW. So many times the hairdresser just doesn't get it or does her own thing anyway. Not so with Victoria. I started to have her do my cut and color just a few months ago. I was so lucky to get Victoria. She listens to what I want and recommneds the best color. She knows what looks good and consults in a very easy manner and tone. All my friends have noticed. I highly recommend Victoria to anyone!

I've been wanting to grow my hair long, but it seemed stringy as I got older. Pansy gave me a great cut and reduced my layers and when I went back, she showed me how to use a quick curling iron on it to boost it up. I never thought I'd be willing to style beyond brushing my hair, but Pansy taught me how quick it was to truly make my hair look great. She's also terrific with color and explains to me why she places certain highlights where. She knows the effect she's after and it shows. I get compliments on my hair ALL the time, and Pansy's my girl from now on. Beyond that, she's fun to talk to and gives an awesome scalp massage!

I am new to Austin and came onto Citysearch in a desperate search for a new stylist! I found that Aesthetica came HIGHLY recommended and that all the stylists there had great reviews, so I made an appointment with Victoria for a cut and color! The salon itself is so pretty and clean! On the advice of my coworker who gets her hair done here, i decided to give this salon a try. I had been going to the same stylist for 3 years and was getting inceasingly unhappy with my hair. I went to see Victoria, and I got the best cut and color I've had in years. She really listened to what I was hating about my hair - years of highlights had made it one big chunk of blonde and it seemed to keep getting lighter and lighter - Victoria transformed my brassy blonde nightmare into very fun looking highlights with more of my darker natural color woven in. I love it! The salon is in a great location, and hip but not TOO hip. Very nice people and great service. Thanks Victoria!

In the past I would get nervous and even feel anxious going to the hair salon just to have my hair trimmed, not to mention a color. It was for good reason, they would not listen to what I was wanting or maybe they did not have the ability to do what I was asking - I was very frustrated. When I moved to Austin in october 2007, I was looking for someone who could do more than trim my ends; I was looking for someone who was trained, experienced and stays current with the latest hair trends and could give me the look I wanted and that best suited me. I was so excited to find Lindsey - she got it! She changed my color, added caramel looking highlights and gave me best "swingy" cut, kind of like that Posh thing...She is fun and personable; I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND her for your hair needs!

Aesthetica is a relaxed, warm, beautiful salon, wherein the stylists all really seem to like each other, and the salon owners are good to the stylists. All that translates into happy stylists who do great work on your hair. I have consistently received excellent cuts and color in the two years that I've been going there - have seen Victoria, Jessica, Cameron, Greg and Susana ... and most recently again Victoria. Additionally, I have always been able to come in with a vague idea of what I wanted to do with my hair, and also get gentle guidance about what would work and what wouldn't so much with my hair type. But perhaps most importantly, these folks don't just pay lip service to the "great customer experience"...you really do feel like they care about what you look like, about whether you like the services received, and even about what's going on in your life. Every woman (and man) should have a great and trustworthy stylist by the time she/he's 30...your odds of finding one at Aesthetica have to be pretty close to 100%.

I have been to the salon several times to see Stefany Green the skincare specialist that I followed from Avant. I would always rate her 5 stars. Her skincare and customer service is without a doubt the best in Austin.

Unfortunately, the salon is not a place I would want to frequent. The owner has an attitude and is the most unfriendly front desk person that I have run across in Austin. My recommendation is that she either find herself a front desk person and stay out of the business of customer service or she find a business she likes. As a customer, I will not tolerate being talked down to or being treated like a second class citizen just because she has a chip on her shoulder. Although I will continue to go to the salon to see Stefany, I will not purchase anything from such a business nor will I frequent the hair portion of the salon.

Aesthetica Hair Salon is a FABULOUS salon! I've been going to Victoria for a while now and every time I am so happy! She is so patient with me and always explains in detail in Lamens terms what she will do with me. I've always had such a great experience with her and plan on staying! Thank you so much!

My hairdresser of 4 years moved out of town so I was left to find a new stylist in Austin. A friend of mine recommended Victoria at Aesthetica. The place is super cute. I described to Victoria what specific shade of blond I like and she got it perfect the first time! She also gave me a great cut that works well with my thin hair! I was worried about trying someone new after 4 years with the same stylist, but Victoria did a great job. I will definitely be going back!

I love to try out different hair salons maybe because I haven't found the right place yet. But Aesthetica is a place I can see myself going on a regular basis. I was impressed with the friendly and professional atmosphere. My hair stylist, Lindsay was great in explaining how she was cutting, coloring, and managing my hair. I told her briefly what I was looking for and she did exceptionally well in understanding and delivering the type of hairstyle I wanted. When she did anything else that I didnt not mention, she was very professional in letting me know what she thought was best to improve the condition of my hair (she gave me comlimentary conditioning treatment, just because my hair was in bad shape as a result of my Austin salon's explorations). I was also very impressed how there was no sale pressure at all. In fact, I wish I bought some hair product for myself when I was there. She gave me "at-home" directions so I can maintain the great quality of my hair between appointments. Overall, it was a great experience and I enjoyed intelligent conversations with Lindsay and the staff at Aesthetica.

I live on the south side of town and after trying nearly every salon here, I decided to head up north. With my hectic lifestyle (4 kids), I don't have time to test the waters. I found Aesthetica on City Search and read all the excellent reviews. I was not disappointed! I was hoping to find a salon that wouldn't just ask me what I wanted to do with my hair but actually tell me what would look best and not be afraid to try it out on me even if I was hesitant at first. Lindsay is a master of color. Finally, I have a color that looks natural because it IS my real color with beautiful caramel highlights. Even though I'm only 33 years old, I'm about 30% gray, so I had almost forgotten how vibrant and rich my hair could look. I will definitely keep coming back to Lindsay. She has a vision for my hair, and I don't want to let it go!

I've been going to Aesthetica for several months now and have been very pleased with the service and staff. I've had my hair cut and highlighted there and have never been disappointed. Everyone is very nice and it's a relaxed but very inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

I've been to Aesthetica several times to get my hair cut and have always come out looking and feeling great. I've been to several of the stylists and they ALL have done a wonderful job of listening to me and achieving the look I'm going for. I would highly recommend this salon if you are looking for an inviting salon - NOT pretentious - that offers great services for a great price.

The staff at Aesthetica are fantastic - so friendly and accomodating. I recently got a facial and have never felt so pampered. I was totally relaxed and at ease. My skin felt fantastic afterwards and I looked 5 years younger! Thanks again!
