Great food and varying menu.. I go there once a week just to have the home made soups. 99% of the time they are delicious. I also always get the figo chicken salad which is awesome as well.

Pros: Great food, low prices, quick service

Cons: occassionally crowded

.

The build it yourself pasta thing is great at Figo. We love the different pastas and the sauces. Our favorites are the mushroom sauce, the butternut squash ravioli, the artichoke ravioli (fried as an appetizer), and the spicy tomato sauce. The service is usually fast, which is nice when you just want a quick bite to eat.

I love this place! It's 5 mins. from campus (Tech), has great pasta at a very reasonable price, and it's never really that crowded. Excellent place to take a date on the cheap.

Pros: Example: best croissants in town

Cons: What are the drawbacks?

The food here is AMAZING. You can mix and match the pastas and the sauces. They have nice outside seating and tend to be accommodating to larger groups. I also love that they have a different dessert special every day.

This is my top choice for dining in Atlanta. I think my poor boyfriend is getting tired of me dragging him there lol. The pasta is absolutely fantastic -- fresh, delicious. The different sauces are wonderful. My favorites are checca, pomodoro, and pollo. I have tried many of the appetizers love them all -- the cantaloupe with prosciutto, the bruschetta, and the caprese salad are the best. Figo is primarily known for its various raviolis, which I agree are wonderful. But don't avoid the "ordinary" pastas like linguini or penne -- they're fantastic too. The prices are low. Service is average -- you order at the counter, then seat yourself. Afterward your server will stop by with your drink order and then food. I've been to most of Figo's locations and the food is consistently good, so I recommend them all. If you go to the VaHi location, Paulo's gelato store is next door. As for cons, well, I really can't think of any, except that your meal tends to be quick, so if you want a long, leisurely dinner, choose another place.

Cons: Practically none. Some locations can be loud. Some have longer waits.

My wife and I went out for a date and she wanted to go to Figo. We had an hour before our movie, waited in line for 15 minuets. Then as we were getting close to ordering the party of 3 in front of us turned into a party of 12! They were willing to stand in line like eveyone else, t it was Figo's decision to add the 9 extra people in line. We left. Thanks Figo.We went to Six Feet Under instead.

Good selection of pastas. You can mix and match all sorts of sauces with pastas and ravioli. The mushroom sauce with the artichoke ravioli is my favorite!

There's always a good group of people here. Ambiance isn't the most intimate, but great for a big group to go and hang out over a meal.

Get going! This place is the real deal! Fresh made pastas with your choice of sauces - what more could you want in a carbohydrate?!
This place is so good, everyone has a favorite and they are all unique to us. The past is fresh made and awesome. The sauces are simple to unique. The bread it average, but the olive oil is robust and amkes up for it! I love the three cheese ravioli with checca. One lady loves the fungi ravioli w/fungi sauce. Another loves the salads. Something for everyone.
Grab a freind and get in line - you'll be glad you did!

I'm so glad I found this place! Was initially worried when I had to stand in line just to get in the door to put my order in, and didn't realize you order at the counter. However, once you sit down, it's just like any other dining experience, where they wait on your table as required. I had the gnocchi with tomato/mozzerella sauce and it was beyond good. I will probably get that when I go back. The spinach salad with goat cheese was really great, and we had a nice bottle of cabernet for like $20. Would recommend this place to anyone that likes good italian/pasta.

The food at Osteria del Figo is really fantastic. All their pastas and sauces are homemade and you can tell. But if you are looking for a quiet, intimate dinner... go somewhere else, or go late. Figo has a lot of young family diners with little kids around 6-7pm. Still worth a try, though.

Like most first timers I originally was thinking, good pasta, good prices, and a taste of Italy right here in Atlanta.
The pasta is still okay but it really doesn't make you think you are in Modena. The olive and bread served after you are seated is a nice touch but I never saw this in Modena, Reggio, Bologna or any other Italian town. The only thing that makes you think of Italy is the 1938 picture of the old gentleman giving the high sign. Figos has a trendy atmosphere.
The unpleasant experiences and bland eating can never be blamed on Italy. There are the untrained high school servers with the bungled orders and even the orders that just never were entered. They will be doctors, lawyers, and engineers someday but today they are a disaster. But don't blame the servers, the food is no better. After the pasta every thing else is bland and tasteless. It's time for me to move on and for Figos to redo its' menu and business plan.

Great food, great atmosphere, great service, and great prices! I love everything about this restaurant! Even if you see a long line, don't worry because it moves quickly, plus it gives you time to decide what you want to eat from all of their amazing pasta and sauce combinations. The spinach salad and crab stuffed ravioli are some of my favorites. It is good for a date or for a large group of friends. I highly recommend this restaurant and other Figo Pasta locations.

Best pasta in town. Long lines move fast. If you can't find something you like, you won't find it anywhere. Good place for a cheap date. Salads are just enough, not too big, not to small.

I love a good spaghetti and meatballs meal, a good lasagna, a great ravioli........ When I went to Osteria de Figo, I was expecting a great value meal..just like the ones I have had in Italy when I visited. Instead, the food was bland and unimpressive. I don't know what everyone raves about....there are a lot better places for Italian food....hey..I even like the Olive Garden better than this place....

Figo is a great authentic italian place. Its also very romantic and not very expensive ($7-$12 a plate) I went on my first real date with my current boyfriend there. It is still a special place for us. I also take out of town friends there and they love it. They request on next visits. I love the four cheese ravioli with pomodora sauce.

I visited the restaurant on May 3. I went to this restaurant because of CitySearch (Thanks!) and I am glad I have eaten there. We had an appertizer, 2 entre pasta, a glass of wine, and a plate of the tiramisu and it only cost us a little over $30. What a steal! Their homemade pasta is to die for, I wish I had the chance to try their Specials though.

It was a little awkward to wait in line outside of the restaurant to order your food before you get seated. But once we seated down, the service was not disappointing at all. They brought the food to us right away and they were very attentive and polite. In a way, we felt like this is an even better and efficient way to dine!

Osteria del Figo is a sparkling gem of Tuscan dining nestled behind a coffee house on Howell Mill Rd. My date and I started out with the Caprese salad, which was excellent even though ripe plum tomatoes aren't exactly abundant in late December. The fresh mozzarella was wonderful and not overly salty.

Deciding on a main course selection was difficult considering the many variations of pastas and sauces on the menu, futher complicated by daily specials like lobster in a pink vodka sauce with pasta or beef-filled ravioli in a sage and butter sauce.

I settled on spinach and ricotta-filled ravioli with an Arrabiata sauce. The ravioli were cooked perfectly al dente and the Arrabiata sauce was zesty with tomato and spicy with red pepper without being overdone...if I closed my eyes, I could easily flash back to a wonderful trattoria in Siena or Montepulciano! This place is THAT good!

Figo is one of the best places to eat for discriminating palates on a budget. Pasta is the specialty here and tastes as fresh and satisfying as the best I've had. They are cooked to the right consistency, well made, and sauced to the correct amount. The sauce selection is a bit predictable (although delicious), but it helps that you can mix and match, in addition to choosing from daily specials. Service and decor are passable, but you come here to chow down on good, cheap pasta and get out in 40 minutes. After I've dined here once I pretty much crossed out 25% of restaurants I might otherwise go to for a casual meal at twice the cost and get mediocre food.

Such a great restaurant! I've been many times and have had take out many times. Food is excellent (!!) and the prices are unbeatable. Service is quick -- even on a crowded night you can be done in an hour. If you're in a big hurry, sit at the bar. The ravioli is the best you will ever put in your mouth. The sauces are delicious, and so are the appetizers. Even the bread is wonderful. I've never had a bad experience here. However, since you pick your own pasta/sauce combo, ask for help if you are unsure. Don't pick the spicy sauce if you don't like spice. Don't combine seafood pasta with salmon sauce or mushroom pasta with musroom sauce -- it's overkill. My recommended dish: spinach/cheese ravioli with checca sauce. Delicious!

My boyfriend and I visited Atlanta this past weekend and decided to have dinner at Figo because of a friend's suggestion. We had planned on this being our expensive "night out," but that was before I visited the website and was shocked at their inexpensive prices.

We arrived and had food at our table in less than 20 minutes, and I'd bet my $7 meal that it's the best Italian I've ever had. The prices were more than reasonable, the atmosphere was great and I will definitely be back. For what you'd pay for fast food these days, it's well worth the short drive from the interstate to have good, fresh, quality Italian.

This restaurant is my favorite casual dining restaurant in Atlanta hands down!! This is a place I can take myself and anyone I know. The atmosphere is so laidback and the food is so yummy!!! And despite the wait in line to order, it gives me time to think about what delicious new thing I'm going to try. However, I tend to stick to my favorites...the arugula salad, spinach salad, and the penne with siciliana sauce.
The portions are perfect and I always feel so happy after I leave. Bravo:)

A friend took me to the original Figo a couple of miles from this location when they were almost entirely a take-out operation and I was blown away. The pasta and sauces are excellent and there's always an interesting special (or two) available. The ambiance at this (newer, bigger) location is great - a sort of casual hip. And to top it off, it's an excellent value.

The only negative I could offer is that I've never found any of their desserts all that good or inspired, but I'm there for the pasta and bruschetta anyway, so it's a very minor knock.

There is a line out the door almost every time I go, but this usually only means about a 10 minute wait, so don't be too discouraged if you pull up in the lot and see a line.

I'm a true Italophile, always in search of authentic italy in Atlanta...oy, this is it. Of course, you'd never find a mix-and-match sauce and pasta, order-first, seat-yourself osteria in Italy, but for succulent, flavorful dishes, fresh ingredients, and convivial atmostphere, assolutamente di sì (this is it)! It's always busy, but the line moves fast...worth the short wait. Buon appetito!

The food is great for the money! You can eat cheaply or go all out. I recommend the Caprese salad. This light salad has a great dressing, and the buffalo mozerella is the best I've had in the area.

The service can lack a little bit. Then again, it is cheap, good food!
