I like L2. A lot actually. It has a lot going for it. It's near my house, it's very gay friendly, and the drinks are cheap! The staff for the most part are very friendly and relaxed. (Thank goodness the old bartender is gone-horrible!)\r

I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. It is in the most depressing part of South St., in the 20s. The neighborhood is dismal, and this restaurant isn't much better. There weren't that many people in there when we went, and the food wasn't that great.

We went there with my wife on a Thursday night the week before Thanksgiving so it was very quiet. Had drinks at the bar as the room was totally empty, then had dinner in the main room. I warned the owner/waiter that we wanted to use a $50

This was by far the worst eating experience I have ever had. There were only two tables occupied when we walked in and the server (if you can call him that) stood there thinking about where to let us sit. He then came back with three

This place is terrible. Went in for a quiet afterwork dinner with my husband, and was horrified! We always at the bar when we eat out, what a mistake! The food was awful. The staff, especially the bartender, was obnoxious. Screaming at each other, cursing, and just forgetting the whole reason that they are there....THE CUSTOMERS!

I can see why L2 has been voted the most romantic restaurant in Philadelphia. However, I would vote it the most eclectic restaurant in Philadelphia.

The Caeser Salad was forgettable, the fried Tomatoes with Mozzarella were good, though

Love L2
Noone makes a better mandarine cosmopolitan. The Fried Tomatoes & Mozzarella cant be beat. And who wants to leave the cozy dining room, filled with velvet?

Great service, friendly staff, and hands-on owner, make L2 different

In Short
This neighborhood spot's faux unfinished walls, red wood and carpeting, portraits, paperweights and pottery create an antique-shop atmosphere. Hidden behind a wall, the dining room is dimly lit and romantic. Service is…
