Perfect place to get all of your friends and have the best night! They are so great in here, the bar is just too amazing because they have a lot of drinks to choose from, cheap and very energetic.

First of all i see a lot of reviews complaining about price, if you want a cheap bar go to Denton or south Dallas. This bar is not a bar for extremely frugal people, the service is top of the line and so is everything else(the view, bands, and women). If you want a great place to listen to live bands, enjoy great food and drinks, excellent service, amazing valet service, beautiful women, and don't care too much about spending some cash then be prepared to be pampered. I visit this place on a regular basis and love it every time. Most people who have a problem with this place either cant handle their alcohol and make a fool of themselves and can't take the blame for it, or are just cheap and think they can buy a mercedes for the price of a kia so to say.

We have been to the Glass Cactus twice now and this Saturday will be our third viist. We truly have enjoyed it each time. We go in a large group of 15-20 people. Have always had a great place to sit and the wait staff has been very helpful. Designated driver drinks free and this has made it very affordable. The food is great, the music has been great. And of course, we really go to dance and hang out with friends. Sure we could drive to Dallas but we are 40/50 somethings and we really dig the place. It works for our group.

It's crazy what some people write to get attention. I admit their prices are somewhat pricy but look at the place!! This isn't some place off fry street. I recently went to the glass cactus and I mean on spazzmatics and another time when leFreak came and it was bumping! The DJ Kevin played some really good songs and the staff was awesome. I had the server Anna and she was great. Very attentive and attractive. The bartender Rob with the hat was awesome too. Don't listen to these ridiculous reviews. They're way off. This whole club has a really good vibe to it and it was kept clean! I had people constantly clean my cups and even get stuff off the floor! If you get there early there is no cover charge and if you park in the parking garage they give you a blue slip for free parking. Totally worth it!

OK - I read all these reviews - good and bad. I went there with little to no expectations to see Eddie Money with my husband. I must say. We were greeted promptly, will call was very courteous (allowed us to have our tickets early), and we were able to find a table with a great view (not reserved). Our waitress was super sweet! Short brunette with long hair. I wish I knew her name. She was really friendly and knowledgeable. She realized it was our first visit and went out of her way to make it pleasant. Even brought a reserved sign for our table prior to the show! We both smoke, so we had been taking turns going outside. After that, no problems. It was very nice. My husband and I were able to walk around and return to our table with no one having taken over it. The show was ok - Poor old Eddie -- He did well for his age. I really enjoyed the music. I am an 80's girl. LOL. Overall, I would rate this a pretty high 8. It is not Vegas or LA or NY, but it is a very nice night out for the older crowd. The drinks were a little high ($10 for a Bacardi Mojito - but they were GOOD!) 2 appetizers, 4 Dr Peppers and 3 Mojitos cost us $65 with tip - not bad. Parking was $10 -- Heck Stonebriar Mall is $6 --- I think it was worth the money. Go and decide for yourself. The negativity on this site I think may be a little blown out of proportion, but who knows!!

When we were closing out our tab (1) my husband did not get his credit card back, (2) we noticed several drinks that were not ours the tab & (3) we were told that the other waitress, Elizabeth, had given the card to a woman wearing a white dress. The things that are wrong with this incident: (1) No one in our group was wearing a white dress,I was wearing a red dress, so why would she give my husbands' credit card to someone else without checking for identification since the name on the card is a man's name? (2)The tab was still open at the end of the night, but no card? Does that make sense? If she gave the card back to a patron, shouldn't the tab be closed out at this time? To me this sounds like some sort of fraud or scam going on here. I asked to speak to a manager and all I got from the bartender was that his name was "JACK". Someone should have brought a manager over to speak with me, but no one did. Hubby went on ahead & signed the amended tab hoping the card would turn up the next day with someone in the group. Since then, we have had to cancel that card and now have the inconvenience of getting a replacement card sent to us. There are numerous charges that have appeared on the card. Clearly the gratuity was definitely not deserved. Due to the negligence of the staff & the poor customer service that we received that evening, this would ultimately be the appropriate and just rectification to this incident. This also serves as a wake-up call to management for proper waitstaff training and much needed improvements to customer service from the person taking the cover charge at the door to the waitresses. Perhaps the waitresses count on the patrons being too inebriated to really know how much their tab is prior to closing it out, but then there are those of us that have a drink limit and are still sober enough to know when the tab has extra drinks charged erroneously on it. After this incident I seriously doubt that we will return.

We have been to the Cactus about 10 times in the last year.We have been in a variety of groups, couples,by ourselves. There has not been one time that we have NOT had a problem with the multitude of prices you get from one bartender/waitress to the next. We even pulled out the menu-which clearly states the price of a bottled beer-our waitress was confused by this. She had charged us $8.00 for ONE bottled beer! That is nearly twice the menu price-she never came back to our area. SAME issue with the bartenders-Prices were all over the place. We started a game of it-going from bartender to bartender and ordering the same thing;the prices ranged from $5.00 to $11.00-YES, you are reading this correctly! We narrowed it down to ONE bartender that was pretty cut&dry with his pricing (reasonable)-He wears a hat and is at the 1st bar to your RIGHT as you come in. The back bar and the outside bar were the absolute worst and DON'T even get me started on the waitress' YIKES! We were with a party of 30 guests this past weekend, celebrating a birthday.

I took my wife here for an anniversary drink, to watch the sunset, thinking it would be romantic.

#1 Rip-off. We arrived at 5 PM, the only customers. They were still making the place ready and had to call for a hostess. After waiting several minutes, a young woman came out from somewhere, chewing something. I suppose she was eating??? She told us $11 cover to enter. "For what" I asked. "For this event" she said pointing to an event card. "Oh, what time?" "10 PM" I told her we were here for 1-2 cocktails and would be gone in 1-2 hours. No exceptions was her answer. I asked that she check with a manager. Yes, no exceptions. OK, we paid.

#2 Rip-off - Over the next 90 minutes, we had 4 cocktails, 2 vodla martinis on the rocks and 2 margaritas on the rocks. I was stunned at the check --- $52 for 4 drinks. Amazing!

#3Rip-off - Parking. Between rounds of drinks I went to get a jacket from the car for my wife. The valet said I could not go into the parking area but he would bring the car around. OK, and then he was obviously expecting a tip. All I had were $20's and a $5. OK, the $5.
At 6:30 we were leaving, still in shock over the $52 tab for drinks. As we approached valet, I could see that we were still the only car in the lot. I gave the ticket to the guy and he said $10. For what, I asked. Thats the charge for valet parking. As he brought the car around, I could see that he still expected a tip. Normally, I would not stiff a worker, but after the triple rip-off, I could not dig down again.

Stay away from this place!
