Biny Karaoke Bar  5 Star Rating - World class

Biny Karaoke Bar not only has one of the coolest karaoke set-ups ( 7 separate rooms of karaoke ) that I have ever seen, but Biny's menu is incredible. Here you can treat you palate to one of the finest Japanese cuisines in town. You have to try the SEAWEED salad.

Great Karaoke System 4 Star Rating - Very good

Granted, it's a bit pricey.. But some people come out and they don't mind spending the money. So many people complain about the service and the English songs, maybe they should just go back to those cheap karaoke's bar where people scream their lungs out instead of "singing"... It's an asian joint, we can tell. They are "Asian owners" so what do you people expect?? My American friends and I go there quite often and we enjoy it.. It's 2 songs a table, so of course if the place is packed, it'll take awhile.. Do the math before complaining... The service is not that bad... If you see people there order a dozen of drinks a time.. So if you were being cheap and ordering one, get ur butt over to the bar instead of having them poor waitress walking over to you...

Pros: Can't find better karaoke systems
Cons: Parking, it's so difficult to find

BINY was FUN 5 Star Rating - World class

I've been to BINY a couple of times with work friends and both times we had a lot of fun. The drinks were good as was the service and the karaoke lets us forget about life for a while.

Pros: Karaoke, Drinks, Service

Okay for price range... 2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

Biny's isn't the nicest place in terms of atmosphere, but I always have a lot of fun when I go there (probably because of the company). Private rooms aren't exactly cheap, so college students (like me & my friends) often have to go in big groups to make the cost worth it.... and that usually means tight, cramped seating and lots of noise. The drinks are okay, but not exactly worth the price ($6-$8 a shot). The on-screen song selection is a lot easier to browse than a book, in my opinion, but is not as extensive as I hoped. Popular American artists like Rihanna and Fergie only have like 1 song to their name on the system....... disappointing.

Pros: fast service
Cons: stuffy atmosphere, small rooms

Fun time karaoke 5 Star Rating - World class

BINY karaoke is a lot of fun. Great karaoke selection, very good drinks and attentive service. We tried some sushi as well which was also good. Recommended.

Pros: karaoke, drinks, service

Awful service, awful food, awful drinks, awful place 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

Rented a private room for a friend's birthday. Seating was tight and the room was kind of run down. The microphones consistently cut in and out; we asked several times to have them fixed or replaced to no avail. The speakers were pretty crappy and there was no book for songs -- you had to scroll through them on a separate screen. We first ordered drinks -- beer and saki. The beer took probably about 10 minutes to come. The saki took a half hour (and was gross). We then ordered a bunch of sushi and other things for the group to share. The sushi was edible, but not good. The other things were cold and disgusting. No one really ate anything. The service was chaotic to say the least. We had 3 different people coming in and out bringing us things, and it was unclear who to ask for what. After ordering drinks and waiting, we were unsure of whether or not we should place the order again with one of the other waiters/waitresses. The only positive thing was the check -- expensive but I feel like it could have been worse. Overall we had a good time, but there was a lot of added hassle and aggravation that would have been nice to avoid. Bottom line is that the food, service, and place itself were all sub-par. There are definitely better places to go in NYC for saki or karaoke. Not recommended.
