awful-waste of money/time

by Sarah S.

Worst experience of my life-do not go to this place for any special occasion! They were rude, unprofessional, and kept us an hour after our supposed takeoff time so that we could go with another couple when we were promised a private tour. The flights go nowhere near the sights-we were supposed to see the Hollywood sign, Dodger stadium, celebrity homes, etc., and we saw the Hollywood sign about 5 miles away (so we could barely even see it). My boyfriend and I also purchased the "Hollywood Upgrade" and they failed to give us the bottle of champagne, and don't be deceived-the picture on the website of the hors d'oeuvres is NOT what you will get. There was supposed to be fruit, cheese, etc., but there were two small bags of pretzels and a chocolate lolipop. The "specialty frame" they mention is actually a sticker that boarders a polaroid picture. I tried calling and e-mailing to discuss this with the company, and I have not received any response. This place is embarassing-don't waste your money.

The ride of my life!

by tyreka907

The tours are inexpensive and fun? Speaking from a personal experience! It was amazing. That was my first time flying in a helicopter and I enjoyed it. The pilot was very friendly and down to earth? If you ever want to take a tour go with Celebrity Helicopters!

Great ride!

by jalbayalde

My first time up in a helicopter and I wasn't disappointed. Started off on the coast before heading inland to some great views of multi million dollar homes (including the Playboy Mansion), the Hollywood sign, and the Sunset Strip. The tour even darted between the downtown skyscrapers before heading back. The ride was very comfortable and our guide was great. Well worth it.

superior flight training

by heliprof

I started with a different flight school but here they really showed me how to fly helicopters
you can go your own pace fly daily or even couple times daily or just once a week
i did my commercial and my flight instructor with celebrity helicopters and it went just fine
you are able to do the written test in their testing room
there is the opportunity to go on sightseeing tours and film productions in the copilot seat to build hours
check it out - great company

Pros: expierienced chief pilot, ride alongs, training standards

Good Old Times ... We had a blast with Celebrity Helicopters..

by AngelinoHoly

We took the Celebrity Homes Tour with Celebrity Helicopters and we really had a blast with their pilot, Robin. I will recommend it to my friends because the tours had lots of character and were really unique. I think they offer a really "cool" service for couples looking to have a fun night out. I wouldn't expect anything over the top, but I'd describe it as a good hole in the wall restaurant with really good food, or a mom & pop operation which lots of charm. They also operate a museum in the facility that helps inner city kids and have all these recognitions from Congress and Newspapres... really cool... so it felt really good to contribute to the cause. Their website has fun photos of the tours taken from actual people apparently, so it's almost accurate. We did get the Hollywood Upgrade and the champagne and hor's devours were cute snacks.. I wouldn't expect shrimp cocktail or anything super extravagant.. But I think it's a really special company and it was a really fun experience with my friends. My advice is, have them pick you up at another airport if you are trying to impress someone. Their location in Compton may be a little hectic as it is also a facility that operates the Non-Profit After School Program... which you may really think is cool.. But if you are image sensitive I'd say have them pick you up in Santa Monica. They were a little behind schedule, so don't expect them to be on time... just be flexible and I guarantee they will make up for it with the tour.

Pros: Character, Charm

Cons: None

Great Company & Customer Service

by James9112

CELEBRITY HELICOPTERS IS A GREAT HELICOPTER COMPANY. I TOOK THE DELUXE NIGHT TOUR, AND IT WAS AWESOME. ED TOOK MY RESERVATION, AND WAS VERY COURTEOUS AND HELPFUL. ONCE I REACHED THE MUSEUM, WHILE I WAS WAITING, SOME OF THE KIDS IN THE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM SHOWED ME AROUND. THEY DID AN IMPRESSIVE JOB WITH IT, TOO. I HAD AN AMAZING TIME. THIS TOUR TOOK ME AND MY FREINDS AROUND CELEBRITY HOMES AND MANY MORE PLACES. I CAN'T WAIT TO FLY WITH THEM AGAIN.

Pros: Fun helicopter tours
