THIS IS A HUGE SCAM. IM SERIOUS. RUN AWAY.

ALL the positive reviews on here are definitely fake and written by the owners themselves. I called to get my stuff moved across town, and they NEVER showed up. To be honest, im glad they didnt

After speaking to a representative on the phone, he advised/convinced me that the most economically way for me to make the move would be to charge "by the piece" rather than by the hour. He then quoted my move cost at approximately $350. On moving day, the 2 movers showed up 2 hours late, then 1 mover said that alot of pieces would cost extra, so I decided to move them myself. Everytime I came back to get more items, I would catch them snooping thru boxes and making snide remarks about alot of my belongings.

They ended up moving only my large furniture items which was about 35% of my total property. Also. the move only took them 3 and 1/2 hours. After it was done, the final charges ended up being $475, and the supervising mover then began to insult me by pointing out that I should have taken the move "by the hour" option.

The next day, I noticed that an expensive, unique, very hard to find chair was deeply scratched and scuffed. After reporting it, discussing it with the manager, and 3 weeks of Phone Tag, the supervising mover came back to look at it, then tried to "repair" it with shoe polish, then told me I would have to go buy specific paint to finish "repairing" myself.

I don't know how these guys are still in business, but hopefully for not much longer

This place is a total scam. They ripped me off $60. When I first called to make the appointment I told them I needed a dresser and a bed moved.

As the movers were moving my stuff they said.. "Why didn't you go the per item rate instead of the minimum 2 hour rate"

What?!?!? I didn't know that was an option!

When I called the company back and talked to THE OWNER, he told me that I had already agreed to the hourly rate and there was nothing they could do. No refund on the difference!

So, if you decided to go with this company, clarify exactly what you need moved or they will try to scam you.

My experience with Apache is a mixed bag. I was moving apartments in Austin and they arrived 1 1/2 late. I was the first move of the day at 8:00 in the morning so there was absolutely no excuse to be late. They said they did a long distance move the day before and arrived home late, so that is why they had trouble waking up. I would have loved to sleep an extra 1 1/2 as well ( i don't like to wake up early). I started loading up boxes in my own truck as I thought I might have to move myself. They didn't even give me a discount for the inconvenience. On their own moving contract it stated customers would be charged $35 for every 30 minutes Apache movers had to wait but what money do I get for waiting on them. A bit hypocritical. As a positive all my belongings were moved with no damage. My word of advice to others if using Apache moving is prepare for them to arrive late as the other reviews have also confirmed this.

Pros: no damaged furniture

Cons: late, late, late

The moving team showed up 2 ? hours late. They showed up with an angry attitude and one team member seemed to avoid wanting to speak with me for the first few hours. I?m not going to go into great detail because there are always accidents and issues with moving. Showing up two ? hours late is upsetting, but it was not necessarily their fault. The previous appt. was most likely misrepresented. The bad attitude shouldn?t have happened, though. Neither should the time it took to actually move me. It was done in one load, I had everything packed, disassembled, and moved into an easy area to move (no second floor at the first location). The second location was 9 miles from the first location. After the move had gone on for 6 hours, I started instructing the movers to just dump everything in the garage and I would finish moving it. The total move time was 6 ? hours for one trailer load. I?ve done plenty of moving and hired plenty of movers and this seems excessive, especially given the circumstances of not having to disassemble/assemble any furniture or beds.

After the move, I called Apache Moving and spoke with someone who acted extremely concerned and said he wanted to help make it right. I sent an email (as asked) and explained, with the promise that the glass cost would be replaced and they would send someone over to repair the scratches and the two leather tears/scratches. After a week of no communication, I called to follow-up and was told they were working on it. Two days later I received a check (minus the tax which seems strange) and a letter explaining that they had 90 days to respond to my claims. Its seems obvious their tactic is to promise to repair damaged items, then wait until the person who moves forgets about the issue or just gives up. This seems dishonest and disappointing. I will definitely use a more reputable mover in the future and urge my friends to do the same.

I scheduled a move a week in advance with the manager over the phone and through email. I was contacted by them the day before to confirm their time of arrival.
One hour into their arrival time on the day of the move, I received a call from them asking if I had ever scheduled my move! I told them that was waiting for them and the employee (Randall) acted surprised and embarrassed and said that my name sounded familiar. He said he would call the truck and call me back. When he called back he said that they were very behind schedule and would not arrive until 6:00-6:30p.m.
At 7:00p.m. I had not heard from them and their office was closed so I could not reach anyone. At 7:15p.m. Randall called me and apologized and said that they were still running behind, but he would call me the next morning at 9:00a.m.
At 9:30a.m. on May 28th I hadn't heard anything, so I called their office. I spoke with the manager, Terry Oliver, and he said that he wasn't aware that my move had not been completed the day before, but they would fit me in that day.
They never showed-up and I never heard back from them.
I had to scramble to try to find a mover to replace them since I had to be out in three days. It was also the end of the month so most moving companies were already booked through the weekend. I was fortunate that I had an extra day, otherwise this would have resulted in further complications and costs.

These guys did a great job moving me from north Pflugerville to south, south Austin. They gave me a great deal and didn't give me hassles. They were on time and did a great job.

I usually never write reviews esp bad ones but I felt compelled to warn people after my experience with Apache moving. They gave me a decent quote for a 3 mile move. They were supposed to show up at 2 pm. I was told they were running late after I called them at 3 something.
I waited for a few more hours before they told me that it wouldn't happen that night. I had planned my entire move to be done so I'd have Sunday to unpack and somewhat set up things before getting back to work. Basically I ended up moving all my furniture with a friend's help and a truck!
Awful awful moving company that does not live upto their promises! Stay away

First off, I very rarely write reviews. I felt compelled to leave some super feedback for Apache because they did an amazing job of getting me moved. My new place is up a steep winding drive, and they were unable to get the long moving trailer all the way up the drive. They had to park halfway up in the curve and walk up the rest of the hill. They had an extra tough move, and I really appreciate all the effort they put in. Thanks.

My roommate and I moved into a 3rd floor apartment a little over a month ago and had pick up spots from 3 different houses. The movers had no issue with the extra stops and were very fast, yet safe. We had no damages and it was for a great price. Next time we move, we're using Apache!!!

I found Apache online a year ago and called them to unload my stuff, coming from out of town, into a 3rd story apartment. They sent two friendly guys who worked hard and got the job done well. I was happy with the service so I called them again when I moved locally out of the apartment and into a house. Again, they were timely, friendly, and professional - even when it started to rain. I would have been scared off if I had read all these one star reviews prior to using them the first time. However, I guess experiences vary and mine was problem free. I felt their pricing was fair as well.

I can only speak to my experience with this HORRIBLE moving company, but the only way I can explain the huge difference between 1 star and 5 star reviews is that the company employees are writing fake reviews to cover up their AWFUL service. Believe me, you do not want to do trust these people with your belongings. Let me explain:

Apache moving arrived at my house late, with men that looked and acted like they were just released on parole. I was welcoming, offered them cold drinks, and only requested that my electronics be securely attached in the truck. They were very rough with the furniture, and almost EVERY PIECE ARRIVED DAMAGED in some way, small rips, paint marks from harsh rubs against the wall, and their shining moment, slamming my TV against the truck bed and scratching it clearly.

I've moved furniture myself and I don't expect everything to arrive in perfect condition, but what I do not tolerate is people not owning up to their mistakes. All items were covered by movers insurance, but Apache did not answer my phone calls or emails, I tried to contact them repeatedly without any response. They were happy to take my money, ruin my belongings, and leave me high and dry.

NEVER AGAIN APACHE NEVER AGAIN!!!! choose someone with the integrity to stand behind their work.. I had the WORST POSSIBLE EXPERIENCE with this scam, SHAME ON YOU APACHE!!

After moving across the United States I decided to use a company that was suppose to be reputable. The movers left scuffs on my floor, were rude and the entire move was not a good experience. Items that could not be replaced and had no monetary value were damaged. My move was almost two weeks ago and I have not been able to take a deep breath and get over it. I do not like to cause a fuss or even complain, however, my neighbor advised that I should let everyone else know about the negative experience I had with the company. After reading different reviews I see I am not the only one to have had a negative experience.

I have used big companies before where you rent space on the truck and they move your belongings, I have never had movers be as rude as these two were, and all of my belonging arrived in one piece and free of harm.

I used Apache a few months ago for a local move. They were wonderful!! On time, nothing broken or damaged and REALLY FAST! I got quotes from several different movers and Apache was hundreds of dollars cheaper!!! When i first called to speak with them before i got quotes from ANYONE i already made up my mind i wanted to use them. They are so nice and helpful and courteous! They treat you like you are a person and important instead of just another customer number like the other movers i spoke with and got quotes from. Terry and Leslie are AWESOME!I had a wonderful experience and recommended them to my mother who was moving the same week as me from San Antonio to North Austin. She used them and had a wonderful experience as well. Also the same week ,my Aunt was pricing out movers for her office and she also went with Apache and was happy with the job they did. I just recommended them again to a good friend of mine who lives on my previous street and is moving to San Antonio. She will be using them for her move as well. i will continue to reccomend them to anyone who needs a mover. They are wonderful!! you have to wonder about the people making negative comments. Did they really have a horrible experience or are they just stressed to the max like anyone else who is moving? Three of us all moved with them in the same week and we were all thrilled and had no problems!!!

First - DO NOT BELIEVE the high ranking, they are employee and owner entered to boost their scores and deceive you!

This is the worst moving experience I have ever been through, and I have been used many movers.

They sent ex-cons to move my furniture ( the mover mentioned it in conversation ). I don't have a problem with that per se, and gave them a chance, but they scratched furniture, slammed my TV against the wall, and did not tie down my satellite dish, delivering it clearly bent and not functional. My boxes were even delivered missing a bottle of premium tequila.

To make things much worse, they didn't return my calls, and ignored my requests for insurance reimbursement on my broken satellite dish. They lied to me repeatedly and told me they would take care of it, but without action after many polite requests.

NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER use Apache Moving, they are dishonest and I would NEVER trust them with my belongings. Do not believe this high ranking, they are AWEFUL!!!!!!

I hate a terrible experience with this moving company this weekend. First, they were literally over 9 hours late. They were supposed to be at my apartment at noon and didn't arrive until after 9 p.m. They also took 5 and a half hours to move a simple 1 bedroom apartment from Round Rock to Austin. Also, they left with my entertainment center! Not once did they even attempt to call me throughout the day. I literally called Leslie, the office employee, over 10 times trying to figure out where the movers are. Also I had to pay full price for the move which is completely unacceptable to me. I am going to dispute the charge from Visa because this type of service is simply unacceptable. Because they were so late, it messed up my delivery for my washer and dryer and my internet setup. I called Apache today to see if they would give me a discount for this nightmare. Of course they have not returned my voicemail. I should not even have to pay for the move nor do I plan to. I will tell *everyone* I know to never use this company. I've never put a negative review for any company before but my experience was so awful that I felt compelled to warn others. Thank you.

Best moving company in town. They can give estimates on the phone and generally schedule you for that week. The movers are always polite and the pricing is very reasonable. I strongly recommend them.

Pros: I didn't have any problems at all, used them about 4 times.

.

Almost everything they moved was damaged and they couldn't care less. There was NO attempt to protect our furniture or appliances, and our valuable pieces are now scratched up, broken or dented. The agreement included charges for reconnecting the appliances, and after moving them into the house, the mover said he didn't have what was needed to connect them. The "lead" guy's attitude was unbelievable! I would NEVER recommend this company.

Pros: girl in the office was nice

Cons: based on all our damage, it's obvious they haven't a clue about moving anything

A great deal of my stuff was damaged. Mover was totally careless. This move REALLY cost me in things that cannot be replaced. WOULD NOT recommend Apache to anyone! Make sure you read the fine print - your valuables are only worth $.60/pound to them, regardless of the replacement cost when they destroy it.

Movers were extremely careless and had an even worse attitude. Irreplaceable items were broken, damaged and destroyed. The company owner seemed unconcerned and showed no interest in paying for all the damages. Worst moving experience ever!

My family and I had originially scheduled Greater Austin Moving to do our move because they were recommended by our neighbor. Horrible mistake!! We had to be out of our house on a Sunday (because the new owners were moving in that Monday) so they were supposed to move our things the Friday before. "Greater Austin" showed up in a U-Haul rental truck. Apparently, the owner of Greater Austin had contracted some random movers to move our precious belongings. So after they eyed our inventory, the "leader" walked out to make a phone call. After about 20 minutes he came back inside the house and said, "We can't do this. We're not getting paid enough." Frantic--because we had a ton of stuff that had to be out that weekend, I asked him how much how wanted us to pay for them to stay and do the job. As he was walking out my door he said, "Sorry, we're not doing it." I was 7 months pregnant with a toddler by my side and these guys walked out on me. I called Scott, the owner of Greater Austin to ask what just happened. He NEVER answered the phone. I continued to call and leave messages 5 more times. I never heard from him--TO THIS DAY. No apology, explanation or any attempt to return my call.
Desperate, I called Apache (we had gotten a quote from them and almost used them until our neighbor told us about Greater Austin). I told the owner of Apache what happened to us. He was in a great position to charge us an arm & leg to get us out of a jam. Not to mention that this was an extremely busy weekend during July. He did nothing of the sort. Instead, he got an extra crew together and had his guys out to our house at 8 am the next morning. The guys were extremely polite and willing. They were very careful and quick. They did everything we asked and were happy to do it. The office staff at Apache is great and we had a wonderful experience with the actual movers. I will use them for my next move and continue to recommend them.

Thanks so much for sending Eric (and his new partner) out to move me on March 20th. I was ready to have a nervous breakdown at the thought of moving temporarily into an apartment for the first time since 1973. I am the woman in Harris Branch whose house is tipping over with a cracking foundation.

Eric was very careful with my furniture. Even more importantly, he understood my stress and made me realize that he wanted me totally satisfied with this moving experience. He listened to my requests, and did not make me feel that I was a bother.

I will be moving back into my home within the next several months. Of course, I will use your moving services; and I will reqest Eric and his partner. I have also told the apartment where I live and my co-workers at the hospital about your excellent service.

Thanks again!

Apache was so highly rated on CitySearch, I felt really comfortable using them, until they actually showed up. They were on time, but became extremely rude once they saw that the job was bigger than they had planned. They had a very large trailer with ample room, but were completely unaccommodating and flat out refused to move some items, and tried to get out of moving as much of the rest as they possibly could. Their only concern was "getting off work early," and I quote. They moved SO FAST, that I commented on it once, and then made them go slower after they dented and broke a metal filing cabnet. Every single large piece of furniture was banged around and arrived scratched. Then they tried to leave without telling me, and I had to yell at them to come back and put a door back on its hinges. I called the company on the way to Houston and complained. The movers were polite after that, but they were still careless with my belongings. They even slid a painted, wooden trunk on the concrete floor!! They called me the next day to follow up, but it was too little too late. DO NOT USE APACHE!!!!

Pros: The people at the office are polite

Cons: Extremely lazy movers with bad attitudes

They were fast, on-time, and a good price. But they mangled quite a few pieces of furniture. They didn't really seem to care about what they were doing. They just wanted to get the job done.... fast. They're great if you have a bunch of metal objects..like anvils or file cabinets, but anything that can be damaged will probably arrive in a new form.

Pros: Fast, good price, on-time

Cons: They sacrifice care for speed. Furniture. delicates are at extreme risk!

Very pleasant, business-like, and handled my needs extremely efficient. They showed up on time, pleasant and professional. I recommend Apache to anyone.

We have previously used moving companies at least eight times during the past thirty years. Our prior experiences were all with national companies, and we were concerned about possible problems with a local company. However, we were very pleased with each phase of the move in which Apache Moving was involved. The company and employees did the most efficient job and was the only move that we have experiences which resulted in absolutely no damage to our furniture and household goods.

The best movers we've ever had! We have moved a lot and we have never met movers that work as hard and as fast as they do. Not one single thing was scratched or damaged. They are really polite and pleasant and we plan on using them again next time we move.

The men were on time, they were curtious and handled my possessions as if they were their own. I dragged them to two different locations and they helped unload my roomates truck who moved here from Dallas. The price amazed me! I knew for sure I was looking at at least $500 bill. It wasn't even $400. I would recomend Apache moving to anyone.

I would like to commend all of you on a job done well. I was impressed that Apache Moving was able to come to my grandmother's home and meet us and look over her inventory. I received a bid listing the entire inventory and was giving a break down of cost per item. I was also impressed that Apache Moving provided boxes and was very helpful in assisting my grandmother on how to pack her belongings so they weren't damaged during the move. The guys were on time to the move and had her moved into her new home in less than 2 hours. I definitely would refer Apache Moving to anyone who is thinking of using a professional moving company. Thanks again!
