I'm a little baffled at some of the reviews I've read for Manny's and felt compelled to write my own. We have been going here for a couple of years and on average eat here once a month. Not once have we had a bad experience and my husband and I and a great deal of our friends consider it the best Mexican food in Frisco. Not all restaurants can be perfect 100% of the time and customers who have had a bad experience are much more likely to write a review...that is understandable. It is my belief that those are one off situations and that if you give them a chance you will be pleasantly surprised. Who knows..you might just find your next favorite restaurant just like us.

Pros: Great Food, Atmosphere & Prices

.

It's a nice environment, and the food is generally good, but it seems to be restaurant policy to overcharge. Additionally, mistakes with orders are common, and the management/owner, is not the most gracious person to deal with it. In one instance, which has sort of become a legend in our family, the restaurant overcharged my dad's credit card, and my dad complained to the man whom we believe to be the owner. My father asked him, "What's my recourse here?" The owner angrily retorted, "You a'int got none!" I admit, it's kind of a funny story, but that whole incident turned our family off to the place. My father is a reasonable man and a good, regular customer who became sick of being overcharged by one of his favorite restaurants. And the owner chose to treat him like that? Maybe the guy was having a bad day, but regardless, it's still unwarranted.

There are a multitude of superior restaurants in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. We've enjoyed trying all the new and different places where the staff is a bit friendlier, the food is a bit better, and the price on the menu is the price that ends up on your bill.

Cons: Poor service, unfriendly mgmt.; often overcharge

Manny's Grill has great Tex-Mex Mexican food. The guacamole and tortillas are made fresh, which are two of my favorites. It has a nice atmosphere. The prices are competitive. Their servers are friendly.

This is the closest (from an atmosphere perspective) to authentic Mexican dining. The small location with colorful decor makes it comfortable. The food is good, but it is not as authentic as I am used to. I still frequent Manny's regurlarly.

I've been going to Manny's for many years. The food there is always delicious, and is always very consistent. It's a very clean restaurant, with an inviting atmosphere. Family oriented, with people of all ages enjoying their meals there. I highly recommend giving Manny's a try.

We regularly drive up to Manny's from Plano for a fun Mexican food experience. This place isn't upscale like Taco Diner or Mi Cocina, nor is it common and boring like On the Border or any other chain restaurant. The food is better than OTB for maybe a little bit less cash. The margaritas are small, but one of the best house margaritas I've had. The patio, my favorite place to eat, makes you feel like you're closer to Mexico than Oklahoma. I've never had bad service, but there can be a wait on Friday and Saturday nights. I choose to pass that time by with a margarita available from the host.

The food is good and the atmosphere is relaxing. It is great for the whole family. The buffet is good with plenty of food. Their food is delicious and fresh with fast service. I love the frisco downtown area where this restaurant is located. It is quaint. It is a good restaurant for a nice relaxing dinner.

The best place in Frisco! Wow, huge burritos, rich spicy salsa, warm chips and great service. I love the Happy hour too! Someone below must have either been having a bad day or got fired from this place because that review is so bogus it is suspect! I come here all the time and it rocks!!!!!

There were 7 of us seated outside at two tables pulled together . We were quickly served with salsa and one small basket of chips (remember 2 tables?). The chips were hot and very good. The salsa was water-thin and tasty. The waiter took over 15 minutes to get our drink order and another 15 minutes to bring the drinks. When the food was served, we had to tell the waiter to bring silverware. The rice was undercooked and tough. The margaritas were served in a small wine glass and contained about 4 ounces - for $3.50. They were very good, however. Service throughout the evening was very poor. Perhaps it was because we were outside with the birds, fire ants, mosquitoes, and hundreds of flies. The outside tables are typical metal tables on a patio. The chairs are great for relaxing and leaning back, but not for eating from a table. Food was average to below average. The enchiladas were almost as good as the ones in the frozen TV dinners, but not quite. They were rolled in a tough tortilla and contained only tastless ground beef and covered in chili. Presentation of the food? None. The food was just put on the plate. Soft drinks run $1.65 but they do refill for free. I have eaten at many good Mexican restaurants, but this is not one of them. However, there was a long wait to be seated inside, so many people must like it. Try it and see for yourself, but for me, I won't be back.

Pros: Tasty margaritas, but the smallest I have ever been served anywhere. $3.50 each.

Cons: Extremely poor service. It may have been only our waiter or being outside.

Manny's is locally owned, had a great staff and good food. I have eaten there twice and would definitely go there again. I have eaten the fajitas and enchiladas and both were good. Margaritas where good too.

Good value, good food, I had good staff and my expectations were met.

It should be interesting to see how this place does once Mattito's opens up at Frisco Square (who knows when but it is planned.)

HARD TO FIND A PLACE THAT SERVES GOOD FOOD AT REASONABLE PRICES. THIS IS THAT TYPE OF FAMILY RESTAURANT. NOTHING SPECTACULAR ABOUT THE FOOD, BUT IT DOES TASTE GOOD AND THERE IS PLENTY OF IT.

PROS: WED. NIGHT BUFETT
CONS: LONG LINES SOME NIGHTS

A group of 5 went for lunch, three of our orders were incorrect, the table next to us was also complaining...
I had fajita nachos - the chips were soft and soggy....
