Overall my experience and opinion of Holiday World of Houston is extremely negative.
1) The Sales Experience: I grade it a 5 on the 1-10 scale. Having never owned an RV before I went in to HW and asked to test drive a Class A. But because I was not ready to buy on the spot they refused the test drive because they didn't have time (i.e. there were paying customers in the showroom). I only went back because I liked the Coachmen Class A they had. However, all the tactics and antics employed to get me buy right now on the spot were comical and unethical.
2) Service Experience: I grade it a 0 on the 1-10 scale: I have 3 chief complaints: A) it takes an incredible amount of time for service to be completed. What should take days takes them weeks. In fact, they've had my RV so long before that I went and got it, went camping, then brought it back for them to take 3 more weeks to fix a chair!!!!. B) They can't seem to just do the job the first time. They were to have treated the exterior with a protectant ($1000 price for that stuff) prior to me taking delivery of the rig. I was told it only takes 30 minutes to do, yet it too me two additional trips up there and a total of six (6) weeks in their yard to get the stuff sprayed on. My A/C was vibrating so I took it up there. It was fine for a while, but yesterday I turn on the A/C and it sounds like a helicopter parked on my roof. And C) Their service techs are entirely unresponsive. They have no system of follow up or feedback on the status of work. They have had a warranty claim on my LCI leveling system for nearly 4 months with absolutely zero call-back or follow-up. And most infuriating, they actually had me, the customer, call the manufacture on their behalf to expedite a warranty issue. Imagine that!!
Anyway, I discourage anyone from doing business with HW. Ron Hoover has a much better service department and Camping World has a much better sales experience.

Blake was our sales person, and he was a pleasure to work with.
I wish all my buying experiences were as nice as what we had with Blake.
He kept every promise he made and went above and beyond to help us and make sure we were satisfied and comfortable with the purchase.
I really can't say enough about how good it was dealing with Blake.

To tell the truth, all of the folks we encountered there made the experience better than we expected.
Brena over in the "RV store" was very helpful in guiding us along with the extras we purchased.

I purchased my RV from HW in 2009. Since then I have brought it in for service a couple of time and everything was as they said it would be. A week ago we were on our way to go camping and we encountered a major electrical issue. I pulled it to HW of Katy and spoke to Jenny my service rep. I told her of the issue and how we were on our way to camp. She then consulted a few people and found out the issue was not a huge fix. She said she would do her best to get me turned around quickly so I dropped off the RV. We went ahead and started to make alternate arrangements since we didn't have our RV and probably would not for a few days. To my surprise and delight Jenny called me 2 hours later and had my RV fixed! We were able to leave that night and Holiday World of Katy saved our vacation. I really feel like Jenny really cared about our vacation and related to our issue. I would truly recommend Holiday World of Katy to anyone needing sales or service.

Our shopping experience began last fall. Our family of six shopped all over Houston until we landed on our Keystone Outback trailer at the RV show. They had some really great prices but we wanted to verify the pricing with other Keystone dealers. After a lot of research, Holiday World of Houston was able to meet our price. Their personel was freindly and helpful from the shopping stage to picking it up.
First trip out, we had issues arrise. They walked us through how to use the hot water heater on gas. It was real simple and the problem ended up being user error.
We returned home from having a blast in our new camper. Dropped it off for some service work which only took a few days.
Overall, we bought a lot of things over 18 years of marriage and I have to say it was one of the most easiest purchases ever. Their service work from the purchase phase to taking care of warranty work was great.
Our friends bought one from Holiday World and they seem to be having a good experience as well.
