  • Authentic New York Style Pizza
  • Delivery & Online Ordering
  • Corporate Catering Available

Owner-chef Anthony Russo is proud to serve old-fashioned, authentic New York Style pizza in a comfortable neighborhood setting at all of his New York Pizzeria restaurants. Legendary New York Style pizza is loved the world over for its crisp thin crust and full rich flavor. New York Pizzeria lives up to its name. At New York Pizzeria, you get the real thing, the same honest-to-goodness, drippy, gooey, cheesy pizza you find at street corner pizza shops in New York. And just like those incredible pizza shops, you can buy pizza by the slice at New York Pizzeria. It's no coincidence that Russo makes the best pizza in Houston. He learned how to "cook Italian" as a child in his family's restaurant in Brooklyn, New York. Russo studied the art of pizza-baking from the master, his grandfather Giuseppe. Buon Appetito!

Crappy Service and Bad Pizza  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

The pizza was soggy. I complained that they pizza was flimsy and the only response was that they make pizza everyday and that is how it was. No apologies or understanding. I will never go to their Westheimer location or any other NY Pizzeria location again if this is there attitude.

Great Food Experiance  5 Star Rating - World class

This has to be the best place to get pizza salads and pastas. The place is well kept up with and had an excellent staff which was speedy and friendly.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE and UNSANITARY! HANDLE FOOD AND MONEY! 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

This pizza place is close to home so I go here often but the service is horrible. Today I called for a slice and showed up 15 min to pick it up. It wasn't ready. There were two guys and they both told me that I never called in an order. When I told them what time I called it in and asked if it was ready, they said it was. They took an uncooked cheese pizza and threw some toppings on it without first baking it like they should. When they gave it to me, the guy almost drops the whole box on the floor so I check it to make sure that the cheese didn't fall off. Good thing I checked because I ordered the prosciutto pizza and all it had on there were tomatoes and three bits of prosciutto. when I asked where the basil was, the guy threw the basil on and said there you go (without washing his hands and after he was manning the cash register!). He then started arguing with me that there was no mistake and that the pizza was right to begin with. I then asked where the cheese was and the olive oil and he kept arguing saying there was no mistake and the pizza was right. He had a horrible attitude and acted like he was better than me and that I was an idiot for expecting basil and cheese on my pizza (look on t he menu, it says basil, mozzarella cheese, oilive oil, etc.) When I asked what his name was, he told me he wasn't giving me his name so I couldn't complain about him. Unbelievable. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! They act like they are so great when the pizza is always undercooked and soggy or burned and dry. They only are in business because they are on West Gray but as soon as midtown develops more and businesses start cropping up, they are out of business. Stay away from this place!

Cons: Unsanitary,-handle food and money, horrible customer service and always gets order wrong

Deep Dish Pizza -- Very Average 3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

Split a deep dish pizza with three meats that were very haphazardly placed on the bland dough with average sauce and cheese. Not nearly as good as Barry's where I have eaten deep -dish pizza on many occasions. Product is plentiful but I gave away the leftovers to my roommate which has been virtually unheard of in the recent past due to the doughy dough! Did have a decent chicken marsala on another occasion which was warm and edible. So much pizza, though, is so mediocre at so many restaurants. Ate these meals at the new Woodlands location on 242. Nice ambience.

Pros: Decent ambience
Cons: Doughy deep-dish pizza; lack of well-spaced ingredients and flavor

Best pizza, great costumer service........................ 5 Star Rating - World class

I went to this location looking for my old friend Jorge,to bad he doesn't work there anymore. They have new managment, but this place still so good. They have great service, the food is excelent. I am a very picky eater, and almost important as the quality of finished product is the freshness/quality of ingredients, and the cleanliness of the facility. This neighborhood pizza/italian food has excellent fresh ingredients that are made by a friendly family. Hand tossed pizza that is thin crust is my favorite. Tomato sauce is spicy and full of flavor. Patio area to eat. Very Casual. I'm an Italian New Yorker and I'm telling you by far this is the "real deal"!

Pros: good food, nice service.
Cons: parking

My worst experience in Houston, I will never go back 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I previously ordered an Italian Pie. I was told 20 minutes and showed up at the appointed time. I arrived 20 minutes later just in time to see the staff place my pizza in the oven. I did not appreciate having to wait the 15 minutes for the pizza. I took the pizza home and found to my dissatisfaction that the Italian Pie had ice cream cone sized globs of ricotta cheese and no mozzarella. I called and complained. I was told my next order would be 50% off. I ordered the discounted pizza and was told I would have to purchase a cookie as well, otherwise the order would not exceed the $10 minimum allowed for delivery. I thought this was ridiculous but I consented. I had to wait over an hour for my pizza to arrive. I was concerned when the delivery driver would not look me in the eye. Shortly I understood why, the order was incorrect. I ordered the New York Village minus the vegetables. My pizza arrived with half vegetables and half without. When I called to complain the person answering the phone rudely interrupted me and claimed that I had ordered the pizza with half vegetables. No one in my household eats pizza with vegetables. He kept insisting that I was the person who was incorrect and refused to rectify the error. You cannot make up service this bad.

Pros: Still trying to find
Cons: Limited parking, poor service, constant errors, rude staff

Is there New Management? 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

It was the day after the New Year and I just celebrated my birthday and a bunch of co-workers deciced to take me to lunch. And what better place to go would be my favorite food! Italian...or so I thought. Off of a co-workers referral we decided to go to "New York Pizzeria" Kinda excited until I sat down to begin my special lunch. The service was horrible food took forever and it was 11:00 AM ! Thinking a head to beat the rush but we were wrong! I ordered the Fried Calamari as a appetizer it was very chewy and bland to say the least! Next we tried the Greek Salad with extra Feta...it was brought to the table with out extra Feta and when asked for more I was told I would be charged again! Ridiculous-how hard is it to grap a cup of cheese to sprinkle on a salad! Then...My main dish was the Pesto Chicken Pizza, I was told it was delicious and my co-worker gave rave reviews...but it was cold as well...IS THERE A PROBLEM WITH THE HELP? Get it together with your waitstaff?! Rude and abnoxious to say the least.

Pros: NONE
Cons: ALL
