Go because its pretty
You don't really go to Social because you are craving a good meal. It is a place more so to get drinks. The food is very inconsistent. It isn't my favorite place to me. It sometimes feels like it tries too hard.

Let's get Social
Social is good if you are going for drinks. The atmosphere caters well to large parties and the service is always outstanding. The food is good sometimes and other times it's delicious!

gorgeous interior, array of food
The food at this place is really hit and miss. I went there with my boyfriend and I loved the chicken he got, but whatever it is that I got was absolutely grotesque. Other than that, the service was fantastic and the decor was beyond fantastic, truly beautiful.

Horrible customer service!
I went to Citrus Social with a party of 11 for a 30th birthday dinner/party this weekend. Upon entering the restaurant, our party was directed to the "bistro bar" where they had two dinner tables set up for us. Initially, we were confused about our placement but didn't want to give the restaurant too hard of a time. As dinner progressed, people started trickling in and the music was turned up (blasting!). At this point, we felt like we were eating dinner in the middle of a club. After dinner, we were asked to move over to the actual restaurant area (where we shouldve been placed initially) for dessert in order to clear the area for other patrons who were there for the bar. My friends were upset about the entire experience and decided to talk to the manager to complain about the situation. Upon making reservations, we were not informed that our party was not going to be placed in the actual restaurant. The manager and event coordinator were not apologetic or remorseful for the awful experience. They didnt acknowledge that they had dissatisfied customers or that it was for a special event. My friends and I are not strangers to fine dining or the overall LA scene. We have NEVER witnessed such rude customer service by a restaurant, let alone one where you just spent close to $1000.00 on dinner. I must say that the overall ambiance of the place is nice/elegant...but the manager's arrogance, attitude, and dismissive behavior will definitely prevent me from ever stepping foot in that place again. AND...on top of it all, the food wasn't good at all. The waitress ranted and raved about their fries/frites, but trust me -- you can get the same thing at Fatburger. You are not missing out. If you want to be treated without respect, go to this restaurant.
Pros: ambiance
Cons: customer service, arrogant management

Only Mansion style club! Great Social Vibe! Amazing Look!
I love going to this club on a Friday, well for one its looks great when you walk inside. This great venue has a hot and many rooms all set up to be social so you can actually talk if you are tired of dancing. I promote Friday & Saturday nights at Social as well as many other Hollywood clubs, email me for guest list with "Guest List" in the subject line and your phone number for contact in the body. My email is M_Zdar@hotmail com. If your on my guest list you will have no problems getting in the door and if you contact me ahead, i can come outside and get you depending on who you are. This is a venue I would highly recommend.
Pros: Many rooms, set up like a mansion, great look, social vibe.
Cons: Hard to get in if your not on a guest list. Dance floor can get packed.

Been twice and last time better than Patina
I've been twice. Both times were early dinners on a Sunday night. I make reservations for 6PM and arrived before the place was crowded. It was not noisy and the attention to detail in the meals and service was excellent. The only thing I didn't like the first time was a desert made out of meringue and rose essence. It was truly disgusting, but last time I was there, it was no longer on the menu. Wise decision. On the most recent trip, the food was better than anything I've had in a long time. Certainly better than the disappointing outing to Patina the same month.
Pros: Beautiful, Good food and service
Cons: Expensive

What Happened at Social?! Terrible food!
The meal i had at Social shortly after it opened late last year was among the best I've had in L.A. Returning last week i could barely believe it was the same restaurant. The original and stunning mole, for example, was now worse than anything out of a can with a sickly sweet cloying flavor. The fish, as one reviewer exclaimed, was oily and rubbery. And so it went, dish after dish of nearly inedible food, left me embarassed that I had brought friends to this restaurant. Clearly, the original chef is long gone and they have yet to replace him/her with anyone who can prepare a meal worthy of the stunning interior. The prices are high, making this terrible food all the more disgraceful. Shame on Social for not closing until they can find someone who can cook. Obviously, I was the last to know about its decline, since the dining room was empty, except for a few hapless tourists.
Pros: stunning interior
Cons: dreadful food

Impressive!
This place was amazing. My boyfriend and I had been dying to try it and were not disappointed. The service was amazing, the food delicious and the decor beautiful. If it wasn't so expensive, I'd go back every night!
Pros: good food, good service, fantastic bar
Cons: very expensive!
