KRISTIN- all I have to say!!! I am so incredibly pleased with my haircut. I have gone to several different hair salons, but with no luck finding an individual who would cut/color the way I want, or even close for that matter. I was so impressed with the way Kristin had cut my sister's hair (the color is beautiful too) that I made the appointment two days later. It has been about two weeks now and everyday I wake up I look forward to the way I will be styling my hair that day. Kristin took her time to help me find the perfect colors (I am extremely picky) and I cannot thank her ENOUGH for her fabulous sense of style, WHAT A TALENT!!! I found my permanent hair dresser, and I am so excited and relieved!Thankyou Kristin, keep up the amazing work!!!!

I have been with Kristin C. for over 3 years as she is the ONLY stylist that I have ever had that consistently LISTENS and responds to my wishes everytime she cuts or colors my hair. She is prompt, funny and has a great sense of style. She is all about customer service which in my opinion is rare these days. The salon has the most responsive and professional staff that I have encountered in 20 + years of going to salons. CLEAN and EASY PARKING AND a STARBUCKS right next door.

I had my hair cut the other day by ms. kim Twisdale, and it was definitely the most comfortable environment I've ever experienced at a salon. The girls were all super-friendly, but kim was an absolute delight to be around. She was extremely cheery and I left looking sharp and feeling good. The experience really brightened my day!

I have been going to Lux Salon for about a year now and found a great stylist. She recently left the salon and they paired me up with a new stylist, Ali. Let me just say that she is the best. She knows her stuff! My hair cut is great - stylish and just the right bit of edgy. I am blond so I got a few highlights and she knew exactly what do to. I can't say enough good things about Ali. I hope she stays for a long time! I would definitely recommend Lux Salon to anyone.

I would just like to say, that Lux Salon has a hidden GEM working for them! Marsella Lopez does all of their manicures and pedicures, and she is absolutely AMAZING!!! She is so warm and friendly, but does not make you feel as if you need to talk during your relaxing pedicure. You feel like a queen for about an hour, and your feet have never looked better! She uses this "electric buffer" to get rid of all of the dead skin on your heels, toes, etc- and, your feet stay soft and smooth MUCH longer than any other pedicure around! She also dims the lights while she gives you the best leg/foot massage ever... so, nice to feel like the only one in the salon! I have been getting pedicures in the triangle for over 10 years now, and I have never found anywhere that offers such excellent service! Go and see Marsella TODAY- you won't be sorry!!!!!

My husband recently surprised me with a pedicure and manicure from Lux Salon. It was absolutely AMAZING! Marcella (not sure if I spelled that correctly) made sure that the pedicure was a true spa experience. I felt incredibly pampered and relaxed. I will reccomend Lux Salon to my friends.

First off, I am so annoyed reading the negative comments about this place. The comments from those yuppy raleigh women about the atmosphere and the kids running around is ridiculous. Ive been goin to Lux Salon since it opened and have never noticed the atmosphere being anything but great. Go find something else to spend your husbands money on instead of complaining. And for the complaint about the "man cut" . . . dude, you are a man right?? What were you looking for?? Ive been going to Erin for a long time (since she was at Salon Blu) and I have since moved to Charlotte, but still find a way to get my haircut at Lux. I have always been really satisfied with my haircut and could not agree more with the comments below. Erin is the greatest and the other girls there are super nice and give wonderful and stylish haircuts!!

In regards to the man?s comments on his cut ? I hear you man, sometimes things don?t work out as you expect and it?s no one?s fault. You just have to communicate with your stylist what you are looking for. As far as the jagged cut, that is just what?s in style right now-- there are even special scissors that cut for that purpose. I have been getting my hair cut for 6 years from Erin at different locations and it has worked out for me very well. I highly recommend the staff at Lux Salon, they treat me like family.

I have been a client of Lux since they opened. I am very impressed with the family atmosphere and interest shown be the stylist and owners. I followed Erin to Lux and have been extremely satisfied with the outstanding attention to detail and willingness to accommodate my schedule. She is exceptional and I recommend her to any man interested in a great haircut!

I got the worst haircut from Lux Salon and I still haven't forgiven them. Erin, the haircutter there, randomly and haphazardly snipped at my hair until it was an uneven, jagged mess. They have no style for men's hair.

I recently moved to the Raleigh area and asked a coworker where to get my hair done. I was excited about my visit to Lux, sadly that changed. I am a mother of 3 and was shocked at all the children around the salon. My stylist informed me that they were the owners children, that this is a family friendly establishment. I think for the prices if should be a relaxing establishment. My haircut was generic and so was the customer service. I am sure there are better places to get your hair done in Raleigh!

I have been getting my hair "done" since I was 16, and have always had a taste for the edgy and hip cuts. It is very hard to find a stylist that accomplish what I want without me looking like a clown. It takes talent to make edgy highlights, and a hip cut look good and not ridiculous. I have found the best salon I have been to in my 15 years of hair do's.
I have been seeing Anna for almost a year now, I have had several changes in color and cut and she has accomodated all of my whims. and has done amazing things with color and cuts. She is young and experienced. She is absolutely charming, as is all of the staff. The atmosphere is classy but not snotty, and so makes for a very relaxing salon day. The pricing of their services is more than resonable, if not too low for the great service.
I can not say enough great things about this salon. I recommend it to all of my friends, and clients. Anna does beautiful color highlights, and gives a great cut, with charm and attentiveness.
I challange any one to find a better all around salon. Good Service, good quality, great atmosphere, and great price, you cant beat Lux.

Let me start off by saying that I am a hairstylist that drives over an hour and a half to get my hair done at this wonderful salon. As a stylist with extensive knowledge about the industry, cutting edge techniques and customer service, I fully trust the staff to take care of me as I did my own clients. I moved from the Raleigh area and have not seen one great head of hair in the city I moved to since, but I do not plan to try to find a salon where I live because I love Lux so much. The front desk staff sincerely care and always greet me by name and are chatty with me on the phone when I make appointments. The owners come around to visit with you and are the warmest people. My hair always looks amazing. I love this place!

I really can't say enough about how wonderful my experiences at Lux have been. I have been a customer since the salon opened. We are there monthly (between myself, my husband and kids). We are consistently treated warmly from the time we arrive until the time we leave which is huge to us. It seems that customer service is paramount to the owners. The atmosphere is calming and relaxing. I love when I get color and have a chance to just relax there. I have been beyond satisfied EVERY time with my color and cuts. Between myself and my family members, I think that we have seen almost every stylist. The folks who schedule have a knack for putting you with the right stylist for your needs/personal style. I am extremely picky about my hair but also incredibly loyal when I find consistent talent and great customer service. If you are looking for a new salon that is truly customer focused and packed with talent, you have to go to Lux - you'll be hooked!

I have blonde hair and have been having highlights for four years. I have lived in several states and have sampled a variety of hairdressers. Most hairdressers have told me how easy it is to highlight my hair due to my natural color. Unfortunately, my experience at Lux Salon was terrible and as a result I will not go back there and do not recommend the salon to anyone else: 1) I came out of the salon with worse roots (at least 1/2 inch) than what I went in with - the roots involved the strands of hair above my forehead. 2) I did not have many foils placed, if it weren't for the roots I wouldn't have known I had highlights. 3) I called to speak to the stylist within a week, she returned her call the following week. She did offer to fix my hair and make arrangements for it to be fixed. However, I live outside of Raleigh and am a health care worker, work 60 plus hours a week with a very unpredictable schedule. I couldn't get a suitable appointment until 2 weeks later. 4) On the day of my appointment to fix the problem I called to confirm that I wouldn't be charged for the appointment - I was told no. However, once I arrived I was told that I would be charged 50% of the cost due to the length of time since my original appointment.

Simply put, I recently had a great experience with a salon and stylist in north Raleigh. From the cleanliness of the contemporary salon to the attitude of all the staff, it was extremely pleasant. Kristin had been recommended from a friend for over 6 months and I finally made an appt. She was attentive to my requests and it resulted in the best color and style I have had in over 10 years. She also kept me in stitches laughing most of my visit. I will be a repeat customer for Kristin and Lux as it was argubly the best value I have had in many years. If you are not satisfied with your current stylist or salon, you owe it to yourself to give Kristin and Lux an opportunity to earn your business. I'm confident that you will be glad you did. I was referred to Lux by a friend who said it was the best place she'd ever gotten her hair done at. When I walked in I thought it was a very nice salon. However when I got into the styling area after my stylist brought me back I was immediately taken back by the amount of children aloud in the salon. They were acting out and I found the atmosphere hectic and anything but relaxing because of them. I have 2 kids of my own but when I am paying a lot of money to get my hair done and styled I enjoy a relaxing environment. My hair looked good but I was a little confused by my stylists comments about other employees. Overall for the amount that I spent I was not as satisfied with the service as I thought I would be. Although my hair looked good after she styled it, as a client, I am also paying for the atmosphere. Between the stylists comments about others and the children running around everywhere, I am not sure I would recommend the salon to someone who wants to have a relaxing time at the hair salon.

If you are looking for a warm, friendly, professional, satisfying salon experience, then you don't have to look any further than Lux Salon. This is by far the best my hair has ever looked, and I owe it all to the stylists at Lux . The receptionists always greet you with a smile and every one in the salon makes sure that you are comfortable and have what you need. I absolutely love this salon and all of the girls that work there.

I have been in the Triangle area for 4 years and tried numerous salons. I just kept moving from salon to salon until I found Lux. It was recommended to me by a friend and I love it! Kristin has been cutting my hair for about a year now and I have never received so many compliments. Every time I go in I am greeted warmly by everyone I come in contact with. This is a great place!

I would highly recommend Lux Salon. First of all the staff is very friendly, outgoing, helpful and considerate. The owners, receptionists and stylists greet you as you come in and ask if you would like an assortment of beverages. The salon is very hip and stylish and is also very neat and clean. I have been to the salon twice and I loved the experience each time. My stylist does a wonderful job and is very honest. I stopped someone in the middle of the grocery store to ask where they got their hair done so I just had to go to her! I have never got so many compliments on my hair before! LOVE it..!

There is reason why Lux receives such high ratings -- they are fantastic. I confess I followed my stylist, Kim, from her former digs and I am glad I did. They are friendly without being snobby, the place is bright and cheerful and the mood upbeat. As for my hair - both the color and cut are always unbelievable. More importantly for me, they take the time to show me how to make my hair come out looking great when I do it too. As a bona fide plus that is huge. Finally the whole staff engages in constant education and their techniques always evolving. We have all been to the places that churn out the same haircut for everyone and this is definitely not one of those. I can relate to the trauma of finding a new stylist since I went through the same transition when I moved here. I have always been delighted with my cut and my color and extremely happy with the Lux "experience".

What a wonderful salon to get your hair done. My hair always turns out better than I anticipated. My stylist is a master of coloring and people are often surprised this isn't my natural color. You will love the service and the friendly atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone. Acturally I have and many of my friends now go to Lux and are as happy as I am!

I just moved to Raleigh and the first order of business for me was to find a good stylist. Having had the same hairdresser for over seven years in my former home, I was a little nervous about trying someone new. I decided to try Lux after reading through copious reviews of the most popular salons in Raleigh and I can honestly say, I was very pleased with my experience! When I walked into the salon, I was greeted with a smile by the receptionist, who took my coat and offered me a beverage. When my stylist was ready for me, we discussed my hair at length and I felt that she really listened to me. After the color and cut, my hair looked great! She did an amazing job matching my color with the root touch up and the cut was very flattering. Throughout my visit, she was warm and friendly, making sure I was comfortable the entire time. I feel so fortunate that I found such an amazing salon and stylist on the first try! I highly recommend this salon!

I have a long history with my stylist at Lux Salon and I could not imagine ever using a different salon. Deb has always been so warm, open, friendly, HONEST, patient and thankful for my business. I can always count on the friendly appointment reminder a day or so before my appointment and everytime I have gone to the salon I am greeted by a friendly face who offers me a beverage and makes sure I am comfortable. I have also had the opportunity to refer a few of my friends with great results and I have overheard the other stylist in their interactions with clients and they are all great. All of the gals there take pride in their work, take pride in the salon and take great care to make sure the customer is happy. If you are looking for a long term partner in your salon needs Lux Salon is the place. The investment seems so small when compared to the wonderful results and attention you will get in return.

Cons: The only con for me is that the salon isn't in Cary....I gladly drive from Cary to go to the salon!

I've been going to Lux pretty much since it opened, and I must say I will never go anywhere else. The first time I went to Lux I had over 10" cut off my hair and my hair looked exactly like I wanted it to (better actually) after Deb was finished. It's like she can read my mind! I always get great service, I never have to wait and everyone is super nice. I've been to other small salons in this area and don't think you can get better service for your money than at Lux. Plus, you don't get the high brow attitude at Lux at all. The charming decor, great location, reasonable prices and awesome staff make it a must in my book.

What a great experience! The moment I walked into the door I felt welcome, because I was greeted by friendly receptionists. They are not snooty at all like mosts salons, and they immediately serve you a variety of beverages. The stylists are all friendly and up to date, and actually listen to what you have to say. The environment is calming and inviting, my stylist asked what I wanted and gave her input to keep me up to date. I trusted her and was suprised by fantastic results. I will never step foot into another salon again. I had many traumatic experiences before and now feel I can trust someone with my hair again. Also, the stylists are trained to teach you how to style your own hair so when you go home you can recreate the style they provided you with. Thank you Lux Salon!

I went to this salon based on the reviews of this site. I paid over $200 for a cut, highlight, and a pedicure, and I am sorry to say I was not satisfied. My cut left my hair flat and with no shape. The color did not take, it looked like she had not colored my roots, I was going a bit darker, and I was left with a ring around the top of my head where roots showed. To make matters worse, this was the weekend before Thanksgiving and I was seeing family soon. The first thing my sister said was "you need your roots done." No one even could tell I had just had my hair highlighted. To make matters worse, my stylist spent the whole time telling me about all her awful clients and how annoying people could be. The pedicure went dull in a matter of a week, and both my heels got terrible cracks in them right after the pedicure. I was so disappointed, in the salon, I had high hopes since the location is very good, and the salon is very pretty on the inside. Word to the wise, do not go there based on reviews from this site, go based on what you have seen done by one of their stylists on someone who has been before.

I love this salon! I have been going to Deb since she basically started cutting hair and have NEVER been dissapointed! She only continues to get better and the staff she has surrounding her is fabulous! I always get compliments on my cut and color and always recommend her and the salon. The entire staff goes out of their way to make your experience relaxing and enjoyable from the complimentary drinks, to the hip and comfortable decor, to the relaxing atmosphere...I love going! Deb is the best stylist I have gone to for advice on a new style. I come in almost every time and ask her for a new style and different colors and I always leave loving my hair more than the time before! The whole place is fabulous! I promise they won't let you leave not loving your hair!!

I can't say enough about Lux Salon! They absolutely leave me wanting for nothing. The service is personal, professional and incredibly high-end. Even though I have had my hair done by some of the top salons/stylists and have been happy - inconsistency has always been an issue. I would have a great haircut once and not the next time. Additionally, even if my hair was done well, the overall experience was never as fabulous as Lux. When I began having my hair cut and colored by Deborah several years back all of that changed. She is energetic, knowledgeable and incredibly talented. I have been so pleased with my experiences that my husband and three kids all have their hair cut at Lux. Erin, Mary, Anna, Nicole, Kendra and Kristin are some of the folks who have been outstanding. We will see whomever is available! My mom, sister and several friends have been going to Lux simply from seeing my experience and the quality of my haircut/color. I love being so warmly greeted and genuinely valued as a client. If you want a true spa experience where you are catered to from entry to exit, Lux is the salon for you!

I have my hair done by Erica, and have always been totally satisfied with the result. I get so many compliments and request for referrals that I pass her business card out more than my own! The salon is always clean, with a friendly and trendy atmosphere. Great service and hospitality.

I recently had my hair colored and cut by Kristin Corry at the new Lux Salon and it was one of the best salon experiences I have had in years. The salon is tastefully decorated and utililizes all state of the art equipment and technology. More refreshing was the fact that Kristin actually listened to me for a long time to more fully understand what I was trying to achieve with my color and style. And she accomplished everything I had hoped for. She is obviously very talented and takes her work and customer service very seriously. The bonus is that she is hilarious and kept me laughing constantly. You'll love Kristin and the salon. Plus, it doesn't hurt that there's a Starbucks right next door, hahaha.

I followed Kristin from another salon. I would follow Kristin from across the state. Kristin has been cutting my hair since I came to Raleigh a little over 2 years ago. She's the stylist that will be totally honest with you. If you have an idea or bring in a picture, she'll tell you if the style will work for you or if it will be less than flattering. I wanted to be sure that I didn't end up looking too old, but I didn't want to look pathetic, like I'm old trying to look too young. Kristin knew exactly what I wanted and never disappoints me. She also has new ideas to keep me looking fresh. I get bored with my hair easily and I'm always looking to make changes, whether drastic or subtle. Kristin always hits the nail on the head with her cuts. I'm always asked where I get my hair done, from people of all ages.

This new salon is top of the line. You'll love the atmosphere and the people that work there. I can't say enough great things about this salon. It's absolutely wonderful. And Kristin, you really do ROCK!

This salon is great. The stylists are top notch and the customer service is superb. It is a first-class establishment with a super friendly staff. I highly recommend this salon to all of my friends. What a fantastic place! I visited today (12/01/2006) for the first time and Kristin cut my hair. She is a delight and very skilled. I have gone to the same stylist/salon for the past 6 yrs and my stylist recently changed careers. Of course I waited until it was an emergency, so when several friends recommended I try Lux Salon, I said, OK! The salon is beautiful, very upscale, but the prices are very reasonable! Only $40 for a beautiful shampoo, cut and style! The salon was busy, but there was no wait and the staff was so friendly. Oh and by the way, the shampoo sinks are a dream! No more sore necks! I am really delighted with the entire experience!

I've been going to Erin at Lux for years. She is amazing and does exactly what you want her to do. The salon itself is beautiful. It has a very modern feel and the staff is very nice. I have had my hair cut by other stylist there as well if Erin was not avaliable and they did a wonderful job too. I recommend this salon to anyone who wants a fabulous hair cut and amazing color!

I got my hair done at the new LUX Salon in north raleigh by Mary.. it was pretty much the most amazing experience ive ever had! She was very friendly and obviously knew what she was doing! she listened to what i had to say and, what was even better, gave me suggestions about what would look right on me and what would work with my everyday styling! You MUST check out this salon, and check out Mary! You won't be dissapointed!

I am new to the area and haven't had any good experiences with my hair since I've been here until I found LUX, down the way from starbucks, and I decided to take a chance. The girl who did my hair did an amazing job, and made me feel comfortable and welcome at this gorgeous salon. She was extremely skilled in her field, she is a Rusk educator and I have never loved my hair more. You should all go check out Rica or any of the other girls at this trendy yet welcoming salon.

How many people can say that? Great state of the art salon with the most comfortable chairs. Enjoyed the wireless internet and cup of coffee while getting a great cut & color from Deborah. The staff made you feel totally relaxed in the elegant atmospere. Excellent customer service from beginning (appointment) to end (eyebrow wax).

Wow my first experience at this new salon was amazing!!!! The stylist gave me the best cut & color that I have ever received while keeping it within a moderate price range. The look of Lux is very inviting and warm but still very modern. The enviroment is very relaxing. All staff were extremely friendly and educated!! I would definetly recommend Lux Salon to all my friends and co-workers!!!!
