Kerry Jordan is Fabulous!
by KathleenAnn
When a specialist wanted to double the amount of heavy-duty prescription pain medication I was taking for severe joint and body pain, I called Kerry. Two years of weekly massage treatments later, I generally need to take it for arthritic flare-ups only.
Kerry's knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and various massage techniques is superb! Her hot rock treatments seriously ROCK! As a bonus, she is caring, compassionate, and has a delightful and lively sense of humor. I highly recommend her!

Incredible sports massage
by jenellie
Kerry Jordan works wonders on knotted muscles and various aches and pains! I started going to her over a year ago because of a running injury and even though it healed long ago - I wouldn't dream of stopping my monthly massages. Before she starts, Kerry always asks how I'm feeling and tailors the massage to work out any soreness I maybe experiencing. I workout pretty intensely and look forward to my monthly "tune ups" with Kerry. Even if I wasn't working out so much I'd still go every month just for the heated massage table, soft sheets, and relaxing atmosphere. It's an incredible hour to unwind and think of nothing.
Pros: Small and personalized service
Cons: Can't think of any

I live in Somerville and it is a hike to West Roxbury but it is totally worth it !

Best Shiatsu there is around Boston!!
by vtgramma
I've had many different kinds of massages from Boston to Florida to LasVegas to Tokyo and Jean Svizzero's hot rock shiatsu massage is the one that works the best for my arthritis. Her massage and hot stones take the aches away caused by all the rain and snow we have had. I highly recommend her soothing hands and friendly personality.
Pros: Easy to find a parking space; Starbucks is close by; Friendly atmosphere; Great Service
Cons: No cons

Jean Svizzero is fantastic
by aeryn767
Jean Svizzero is wonderful. She knows and combines different modalities creatively to address exactly what you need. I've been to massage therapists all over the world and at some of the finest spas in the U.S. and I would put Jean at the top of my list. Beyond just having the skills, she also offers a really calming, therapeutic energy and ambience that adds to the experience. I bought sessions for my sister and her partner when they visited from Michigan as a gift and they were also impressed and described her as "terrific and very skillful," you're in good hands with Jean!
Pros: Creative combination of modalities, try the Shiatsu
Cons: None

Andrew Jurdan has magic hands
by jake6624
I am a marathon runner and Andrew is the only massage therapist that I will go to for my training needs and for my pre- and post- event massages. He knows exactly which areas runners need worked, he gives me stretches and training suggestions, he knows more about my body than any doctor or PT. I will continue to use Andrew even after I stop to compete, but for now, he's the only thing that gets me through my races. I would definitely recommend Andrew to anyone but especially athletes!

Catherine is the BEST
by marita397
I started going to Catherine about a year ago and I wouldn't miss a session with her even if the world was falling down around us. I have had the pleasure of her Swedish massage, hot stone massage and recently started Reiki with her. Catherine has a healing touch that is so comforting and I can't wait to come back for my next visit. If you are in search of a welcoming and relaxing enviroment West Rox Massage Group is the place to go and Catherine is the person to see.

Exceptional Massage Therapy
by jchiller
I came across the West Roxbury Massage Therapy Group while looking for a massage therapist that could combine CranioSacral therapy with traditional massage. I was trying to find someone who could offer a holistic approach to massage, and help my lower back pain. I decided to call Catherine after seeing her impressive list of specialties on the website. Catherine turned out to be the therapist I was looking for. She is exceptional in her massage skills and in her nurturing and caring approach to her clients. She takes her time and caters each session to my particular needs. She also incorporates hot stones into all my sessions as well. I leave each session feeling much better than I came in and the relief is long lasting. I will continue to see Catherine, and I strongly recommend her and the West Roxbury Massage Therapy Group.
Pros: Ambiance, Location, Quality, Cost

by dylanholly
Catherine is the best Massage Therapist that I have ever had. She is an exceptional healer and is able to customize my sessions to do a combination of whatever I need at the time including: Reiki, Cranial-Sacrum Therapy, or Hot Stone Massage. I always leave my session feeling better both physically and emotionally. Catherine was my life line after suffering the loss of a family member. She is open minded, spiritually developed, and one of the kindest people I have ever met. Because of this she provides a safe and nurturing environment that makes it easy to relax and let the healing process begin.
Thank you Catherine, for the invaluable healing you?ve given me over the years.

Wonderful group of skilled and caring massage therapists!
by eprattphd
I have been getting regular massages at West Roxbury Massage Group for a couple of years now. I personally recommend Andrew Jurdan of Zen Shiatsu and Kelly Peters of Gentle Spirit Massage with whom I have worked with on managing my chronic neck/back pain and migraine headaches. Andrew is a gem - he's a great listener and takes the time to tailor his massages to your specific needs. Kelly is a delight - she's got a wonderful spirit and really cares deeply about her clients. They are both fantastic and for those of you who have never been for a massage I would say - get thee to the West Roxbury Massage Group right away for a truly great self-care experience and stress reliever! For those of you who have experienced a great massage before, try this group out and see what they have to offer.

Great massage and energy work
by braineater
I have seen Jean Svizzero numerous times; for Swedish massage to treat a work related back injury, as well as a combination of shiatsu and endocrine-balancing energy work to treat diabetes. Jean is simultaneously friendly and professional, making for a comfortable, relaxed environment during her treatments. I believe her massage work has greatly helped improve the condition of my back, as she has treated both the injured muscles and others that help support the injured area. The combination of shiatsu and energy work also provided an interesting insight into just how such therapies can effect change in one's mental and physical well being. I will certainly continue to see Jean for such work, and highly recommend her to others.
Pros: Professional, Friendly, Highly Skilled, Flexible

Jean Svizzero will take you to a place of relaxation the you didn't know possible. As we worked together more the shiatsu only got better! What went from loosening tense muscle tissue ended up being a brilliant reading and balancing of my energy! Jean has a truly loving touch and charisma that will make you want to go back!
Pros: Great Atmosphere
Cons: Can't afford massage every day

Calm, peaceful, and relaxing
by vedekbareil
I've been to Kelly and she's great! Not only does she put you at ease but she treats you as a whole person. She'll be happy to put on your favorite relaxation CD for your session. There were too many times that I was so relaxed that I didn't want to get off the massage table *but* Kelly need it for her next client, she won't rush you though! I have chronic neck tension and she gave me some stretching exercises that I can use after treatment. These together have lasting effects. I can't say enough other than give her a try, you'll be glad you did.
Pros: Very relaxing waiting area.
Cons: Not a lot of parking, there is a large public lot a fairly short walk away.

Euphoric massage experience
by sabinab
Kerry Jordan has hands of gold. My work requires a lot of sitting so, my back isn't the happiest part of my body. Kerry's hands were - how shall I put it? - scientifically nurturing. She really paid attention to the problem areas. I felt fantastic afterwards. The room was also very clean, serene and comfortable. I can't wait to go back. (No pun intended)
Pros: Clean, serene, good parking

The Best!
by cyncyn56
There are several different massage therapists in this group. I have only been to Cathy Corkery, and have found the experience to be the BEST! I have been in pain for years from a neck injury that went untreated, and got progressivley worse. I had been to Physical Therapists in the past without much resolution. Cathy has given me so much pain relief it has improved my whole quality of life. She is very comfortable to be around from the minute you meet her. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and there is never any feeeling of pressure. I highly recommend her!!!
Pros: Very friendly relaxed atmosphere

Kerry is fabulous!
by kristintovson
I have been a client of Kerry Jordan's for a few months now and she is the best massage therapist I have been to and being a dancer and yoga instructor, I've been to many. She is very knowledgable and thorough and has a tremendous touch as well as a keen anatomical mind that gives her insight into injuries or other potential body issues. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

The best massage therapist I've found!
by brandelfly
I was a bit of a skeptic about massage therapy as most of my past experiences had felt either mechanical or a bit too new-agey for me. Kerry is the real deal. Her sense of humor and her authenticity put me at ease immediately and her flexibility and mastery of a range of techniques means that she can adjust each massage session to address exactly what I'm feeling in the moment. Not only have I noticed myself feeling more relaxed and energized, but my chronic back pain is gone! Try a session and I guarantee you'll be hooked!
Pros: Professional, Highly Skilled, Flexible

Kerry Jordan is brilliant
by sdesilet
Kerry provided me with my first ever massage. My ascetic impulses always told me that such a thing would be far too decadent. I'm happy to say I was right. Kerry is a master. I can't say much about technique, obviously, given my limited experience (though I always felt like I was in extremely capable hands--everything she did felt completely natural and it never felt like she was fighting my body--even when it was fighting her!). When I can speak to is Kerry's ability to create a calming and healing atmosphere. She put me immediately at ease and helped me enjoy this new experience without anxiety. Another thing: I ran later in the day and felt like I was in a frictionless atmosphere, which has gotta be a testament to her skills.
Pros: Calming atmosphere, Impressive skills, Uncheesy
