In Short
The ever-packed tri-level nightclub is more than just DJs and party people. Chef Antonio Friscia has created a foodie-friendly menu, too, for the first-floor restaurant space. Retro-modern booth "pods" outline the dining room, with a few four-tops in front of the downstairs bar. The upscale menu, which ranges from foir gras and porcini raviloi to shrimp cocktail and steak frites, changes often depending on the freshest available seafood and produce.

Key Points

  • 3-Level Club w/ Multiple DJ's
  • Large Rooftop Oasis Patio
  • Private Parties Availalbe

Fun nightclub

by Lauren M. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 119

I've been here twice and both times had a pretty good time.

I typically don't love crowded places so that would be my main criticism. Plus, I'm not really a "club girl"

But if you're in the Gaslamp and want a fun place to hang out at- this is a entertaining bar.

My favorite part was the rooftop.

Stingaree

by Richard K. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,482

I have been to Stingaree on two occasions and both times the place was very crowded. As a result it was hard to get a drink. Furthermore, we had to wait in line to get in the bar.

pretty cool club

by B L. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 5,426

This place has a pretty neat set up overall. There are multiple floors to allow for a large dance floor but also the opportunity to lounge in a more relaxed setting. The roof top has some gorgeous views. Drinks can be a bit pricey, but they are not any more expensive than the other nightclubs in downtown San Diego.

Not so bad!

by Molly A. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 1,964

This nightclub is pretty nice, mostly depends on when you go. The music is pretty good and if you are under 21 don't think about going...cause they are not friendly to the youngings.

Very fun club

by Daniel M. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 7,005

This is a big hot spot in San Diego. There is always a long line on the weekend and sometimes they have special events during the week. You get a lot of the Chargers players visiting this spot. Pretty good DJ, there are multiple rooms so if you don't like the main floor just head on upstairs. Really fun, great atmosphere, overall great club.

Dress to impress!!

Hot Spot

by Nancy G. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,961

Gaslamp hot spot has A-listers buzzing about the exclusive rooftop patio and top DJs spinning in the lounge. Only downside are the long lines. Other than that, it is a really cool place to be.

Best Nightclub in SD

by J L. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 1,934

This is the hottest spot in San Diego right now. There is a long line so plan on going early but the wait is well worth it. The upper deck on the roof is the best spot to be on hot summer days. The club itself is very nice, i like that it has more than one room to choose from. There are plenty of bars to get a drink & table service upstairs on the patio is the best.

Ok...Not WorthThe Cover Unless Special Occasion and Partying It Up In VIP

by hotdiggity83

I've been to a few clubs downtown. And everywhere else. In my opinion, $20 cover is ridiculous...way too packed,no room to dance...ambience was good, the entertainment was good. we were there when a drummer was doing his interpretation of hip hop...it was entertaining. tri-level was cool. They also have VIP area overlooking dance floor. So, if you plan on going VIP this is a good place...you'd have your own dance floor and you could watch everyone else in the "mosh pit" :)

Pros: Good Ambience, Good Dance Music

Cons: No Where To Dance, $20 cover

Special Request

by gfunk21

This is a great place to hang out with friends and meet new friends. The drinks were nicely poured but I do wish that they carried Le Tourment absinthe. It's good either straight up or mixed, they need get some now!

What if there was a fire?

by Lillymon023

This place is nice, but once they start letting people in they jam pack the place. I've gone twice and had a girl step on my foot because there is no room on the dance floor. The second time my cousin almost got into a fight with a guy because he was trying to create more room to dance by bumping her off and over. Besides having a small dance floor the music is bad. Maybe it was just the DJ that night, but he never played any songs long enough even to try to get into a rhythm, it was just 1 min. of a bad dance song to the next. Upstairs in refreshing, but again too crowded. If you want to dance and enjoy yourself this place gets way too crowded.
