I made an appointment for waxing/ grooming of my private area and backside. Easy enough to make an appointment but the descriptions on the website are deceiving.
I am not a hairy guy but I do like to keep it very clean looking down

Anyone who's ever had a Brazilian wax knows it's not the most comfortable experience. However, never before have I gotten off the table after having been waxed and been unaware anything had occured. Enrique's technique is spectacular. So much that it barely hurt, and there was no residual after effects after. No discomfort, no irritation. Furthermore, after ten years of waxing, Enrique was the first person ever to teach me how to care for my skin to decrease irritation and ingrown hairs. I will be going to see him forever and recommend him to anyone!

I went for a facial here as I found a deal on lifebooker.
The facial was for 1 hr, and it was meant to have a lot of extractions and deep pore cleansing. It was more like a massage for the face, with hardly much extraction.

Even during the little extraction my therapist did not use a magnifying class or super bright light to see what they were doing. I left super disappointed. I called them back and they were super nice to let me come back again, to do another one free of cost with the owner.

That was pretty much the same too. While I had more extractions 1 week later, 1 month later my face is ready for another facial. Total waste of time and money. It didn't even look like I had a facial!

Going to stick to where I usually go!! bottom line!

This is the best spa in nyc i have been going to face to face for 1 year now and by the way this is my mistake for not writing sooner. Enrique is the best in his field besides being a gorgeous HUNK . I am a regular for getting a full body wax and i have to say it is totaly painless.ENRIQUE IS THE WAY TO GO.There is no better. BILLY C.

I recently went in for a 100 min "massage without borders." Don't be fooled by the name. It is your ordinary massage just a little bit longer. I felt at times the masseur may have fallen asleep.
The Website recommends you wear whitie tighties for this massage if you have a shy ego because of stretching techniques used. There was no stretching at all and certainly no need for underwear. I was properly draped at all times to avoid any exposure.
It was a very ordinary massage at a very expensive rate. And the facilities are cramped and kind of beat up.
If you are looking for a massage that might give you a little more that your ordinary massage, I would not recommend Face to Face.
It was a rip off.

I moved to the city a few months ago and I have been to few places for massage and waxing. Later I was referred to this spa by friend of mine and made and appointment for Massage Without Borders, which is 100 minutes of deep tissue and stretching.
My therapist was Brian, very pleasant, polite and comfortable guy. He introduced himself, took me to the room and explained details about session, asked about my likes/dislikes.
The massage room was simple, but clean with nice warmed up table in the middle.
As soon as Brian put his hands on me I knew I was for a treat. His massage was deep, but gentle, strong, but within complete comfort and relaxation. I can honestly say Brian was 100% dedicated to my comfort, relaxation and well being. I got deep tissue massage where my body needed it to get the knots out and relaxing massage that made the stress of everyday life to go away for a while.
I slept so well that night and woke up next morning still feeling like a million $$$.
Brian?s incredible touch is something one is born with, can not be taught. I highly recommend him for a massage, it is worth your money. I will come back for more!

Pros: Spa is very clean, plays good music and smells great!

Cons: Too small and hidden

I am a regular here and really look forward to my treatment every week. This is a very relaxing space, with good music, a comfortable feeling and delightful scent, even when you get off the elevator. Enrique is genuinely warm and cares about his clientele, and I have referred several friends, all of whom have had the same positive experience.

I feel welcome and special here, and I am glad I can support a local business by being a regular. Although this is fairly small space (3 treatment rooms, one area for manicure/pedicure and a shower) it is immaculate and tasteful. I'm sure within a year or two, the business will be successful enough to grow into a larger space, although there is nothing lacking in the current environment.

I have had several treatments, including waxing, facial and massage, and have been extremely happy with all of them. I'm kind of a "spa junkie" and have been to dozens of spas in 5-star hotels around the world, and have plenty of experience comparing these services. You can probably find a more beautiful setting at many of them than the middle of NYC, but I would rate the spa services at facetoface comparable to any of the most expensive spas I have visited. For a new yorker who can't head off to hawaii or california or france every time I want a massage or facial, this is a pretty great find.

The worst massage experience I've ever had. When I entered the "spa/salon", I was partially greeted by the very unenthused desk person. After I told him who I was and that I had an appt he just said to fill out some paperwork, which I did and handed back. After that, nothing. I just sat there and waited a very long time past my scheduled appointment time. Finally, my masseur appeared to be finishing up with his last client. When he was finished he came to me and quickly ushered me back to my room (which wasn't very far because this place is a shoebox). After some brief small talk my masseur said that he wouldn't be able to accommodate everything my massage package included because they were running very behind and were fully booked. He then instructed me to get undressed, which I did, and when he returned he said that he would downgrade my massage package and cut my time short. Then, during the massage, I felt like he was very stressed and rushing me along. The whole experience was very unpleasant. They didn't even offer a discount for the inconvenience. It was clear that my well being throughout my time there was not a concern to anyone there. A HUGE disappointment. I get massages regularly and I have to say this was the worst and I will never be back. Also, their website is very misleading. The spa and staff don't look anything like what they show. Take your money elsewhere, like to Wellness Men's Day Spa just over on 22nd Street.

Enrique has hands of gold. I got the 70 min massage from Enrique and he was great. The reasonable price and the professional etiquette makes this place great! I can't wait to go back!

FACE TO FACE WAS THE BEST PLACE TO BE. I HAD TERRIBLE FINDING A HAIR REMOVAL FOR MY LOWER BACK , OTHER COMPANIES ARE TOO EXPENSIVE. HOWEVER, FACE TO FACE HAS THE BEST PRICE. THE SERVICES WERE EXCELLENT. ENRIQUE IS AND STILL THE BEST HAIR REMOVAL, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM AND COME AGAIN.

My experience at facetofacenyc - day spa was out of this world. I was looking to escape from the weeks worries and pains and boy did I ever. I scheduled a week before to get a waxing from Enrique, a facial from Diane and a massage from Sandor. Rance - the receptionist - was extremely helpful in making this all happen. I cannot express to you the kindness and professionalism that I felt from all at facetofacenyc - day spa. It was very clear to me that my happiness and wellbeing was most important to each individual there. I usually feel a lot of pain from my waxing's in the past, but for some reason Enrique smooth strokes and precise technique allowed for a very painless experience. Diane helped in taking me to a place of relaxation and comfort and Sandor (the Massage Therapist) helped in solidifying an experience that will motivate me to come back time after time.
Thank you so much facetofacenyc-day spa for making my day spa escape so memorable. You will definitely see me and my friends in the future.
