lunch buffet is average

by Susan L. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,315

I have only been to Ashiana for the lunch buffet. I must admit that I have tried several Indian lunch buffets in Atlanta, and this one falls in the middle of the pack. The food was good enough, but nothing spectacular or unique. And the service was also good enough, but again, nothing extraordinary. The atmosphere is a little odd. I felt like I was in a hotel ballroom set up for a conference. It's not really cozy or inviting.

This is worth the stop if you are in the area, but no need to make a special trip.

Amazing Indian Restuarant

by tindia86

This is one of the best Indian restaurants in Atlanta! The food is very authentic and fresh with a huge variety from their snack section to the main course to the dessert. The ambiance is great for a meeting or date with nice music and friendly service. The weekend buffets offer a lot to pick from. The weekdays however could change up the food more often though. But all in all a great place to dine for Indian food and in a very convenient location inside the Global Mall off of I-85. exit 99

Pros: Authentic North Indian Food, Great Variety on Weekends

Cons: Needs more options during the week

Best Place to Go in Atlanta!

by shyam46

I have been going to Ashiana since it opened, and I ALWAYS leave happy. When the food and service are both good, how can someone have any complaints?

It seems like restaurants nowadays just can get the recipe to a good restaurant right - it's good service and good food. It's hard to find that at restaurants, but I'm glad that Ashiana has contiued to maintain its standard and reputation.

Highly recommended for people looking for a good Indian restaurant to go to.

Pros: everything

Cons: -

I love coming to this restaurant, both the food and service are amazing. This is one of my favorite places to go to. The decor is also really nice as it gives a nature-like feel. I would definitely recommend it! It's a great place to go with the family.

Pros: Food, Ambience, Service

Cons: Buffet line can cause delay sometimes

AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!

by radha31

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We had dinner here last saturday, and we are still recovering from the after effects of it. Something is seriously wrong with the food here, so please avoid this place, stay away!!!! Except for my son we all had dinner here. All of us( My hubby, daughter and me) are out sick. Thank god my son did not eat anything here, he is doing well. His tiny stomach would not be able to handle this for sure. Please avoid this place!!!! Atleast me and my family will for sure.

BEST PLACE TO TREAT MOMS !!

by pchopra

Our family went to Ashiana to celebrate Mother's Day. It was the definitely the best place we could have treated mom at - the food was good and the service was great. They were super busy that day, which was expected, and yet their staff was still very friendly. Mom had a great time and so did the rest of us.

I'm glad that they started to do a dinner buffet because all of us got to enjoy the foods that we like the best. Mom especially liked the chaat corner, with pani puri.

I recommend Ashiana all the way! It's a great place to go - whether it's for Mother's day, any other special day, or just to get out of the house and eat some delicious food.

Pros: great food and awesome service

Cons: none

its like any other average indian restaurant

by gujugirl

we had been to ashiana 3-4 time mostly for somebody's birthday party. they mention the food is healthy with less oil .. but the food we ate was very oily and as like all other restaurants in atlanta. even the service sucked there. the host had to repetitively tell them to fill the empty trays with food. the only good thing about ashiana is its nicely decorated . it looks elegant and cozy but people are more concerned about the food rather than the look. so they should improve the food quality.

Pros: good feel

Cons: bad food

Best Indian Restaurant in Atlanta

by koka135

This is the most amazing Indian restaurant I have been to in Atlanta. Very elegantly decorated and it gives a great feeling as you walk in. Not only is the food delicious, but their service is outstanding. The entire staff is very hospitable and courteous, which is not something you see in most of the Indian restaurants. Their "service with a smile" will definitely bring me back. A little out of the way in the Global Mall (I-85 and Jimmy Carter Blvd.) but it is worth the trip. I don't think any other restaurant in Atlanta can beat Ashiana.

Pros: Great food and ambience

the restaurant gives a good feel.. elegantly decorated, very well organized.but the top priority should be the food. the food is average and they dont give good service. you have to wait alteast 20-30 minutes to get your food on the table after you order. and the food is not that great.

okay food

by neeta75

the restaurant is huge and impressive. but cant say the same about their food. they have over 20 items in buffet but the quality is like so many other indian restaurants in atlanta. the dinner items are expensive but not worth the price. the food is below average.

Pros: great ambience

Cons: average food

below avg food

by logpiyush

Food was oily (like most low grade Indian restaurants).
Seating was prompt as the place is huge. But does that do much good if the food is not good? Had many options for buffet but the quality was bad.

Pros: Big and spacious

Cons: Bad quality food

Best Indian Buffet

by ashiv

This is one of the best places for North Indian food in Atlanta, the restaurant is spacious, with a very good and impressive spread. They have fresh kabab's and tikka's from the Tandoor, unlike other restaurants who serve the standard red color chicken tikka. The service is also very good. The buffet is definitely the best in town.

Pros: Easy parking, close to Exit 99 on 85

Cons: Cant find any
