I planned to do my birthday for sat March 13th with the promoters from Fullyequipped and they told me that I would be able to get a table with my bottle of grey goose for a certain price and then when i got there they totally brushed me off. They also lied about the entrance fee saying it was $10 for guys before 12 and they charged $20... they also treated me like crap and I couldn't believe this one girl who worked for the club because she told me I would get a certain table and then gave me a really bad attitude when it was time to seat people. She told me that I couldn't get that table because there was a group that was buying 6 bottles and that I wasnt buying anything compared to them..I was shocked and pissed but didnt let it ruin my night.. but overall the place is nice and its a good crowd and they play good music but the promoters are horrible ..I recommend this place for a night out of fun but not to do an event unless ur buying like 6 bottles otherwise theyll give ur table to other ppl.. and never do ur event with fullyequipped cuz theyre lierssss!!!!!!!!

First time ever at branch, nice crowd the place looks great. The staff might want to promote this place. Maybe the word would get around faster...........

Pros: Great Music, great drinks

This place is a joke. I came here from Rhode Island expecting class, good music, and fun. No such luck. Plastic cups, overpriced drinks, a 20% gratuity added to your tab if you start one- which i wouldn't mind if the bartender wasn't rude, incompetent and knew how to mix a drink. The crowd wasn't too old, mostly seemed like sad looking twenty something and bachelorett parties. As for the music, if you are 40+ and want to hear a pitifully mixed set of bon jovi, madonna,KELLY CLARKSON, queen, and a random hip hop song thrown in, go here. For real, I could've listened to a crappy set like this in Providence. In my neighbor's basement. The DJ actually said "all you people coming up here giving me DJ tips, I got this." No, you don't. He could not make a smooth mix to save his life. I danced for about twenty minutes total inthe 3 hours i spent there.

Also, bottle service was outrageous, over 300$ for grey goose, cheapest was like 225 for BACARDI. If the club was actually swank and had a nice VIP this might've been acceptable... Maybe. I would never go here again.

I had a Bachelorette Party a few weeks back (Saturday night) & everyone had an awesome time. The bartenders were friendly, the crowd wasn't nasty or pervy in any way. The music was great (hip hop, reggae, reggaeton, old skool). The drinks are NYC priced, but that's what you expect. They do have drinks for 1/2 price before a certain time, so you should take advantage of that asap. Make sure you get on the guestlist otherwise you'll end up paying $10 or so to get in. All in all, a great time was had by all.

Cons: Cover Charge

Me and my friends went here on Jan 27, a Saturday night, and we had SUCH a good time. The place itself is nice, but it's hard to really see the scenery since it was pretty packed that night. The music was on point, top 40's, hip hop, reggae. It's good for a small group of friends (no more than 10 or 15) to go for a good time, especially if you like to dance. The drinks were good, the crowd was good, the whole feel of the place was just perfect. It's small, yes, but cozy at the same time. i don't have anything bad to say about this place. What amazed me even more was encountering one of the nicest bouncers ever. It was my birthday, so my friends were helping me out, and he told me to sit down on the couch and offered to help us get our coats. Since when is a bouncer ever that nice? I went outside at one point of the night, looking for someone, and he asked me if I needed to make a phone call or something like that, then he opened the door for me when I went back in. Anyway, the bottom floor is the dancefloor, and the 2nd floor is a good place for people-watching on the dance floor or just hanging out at the bar.

Pros: Music, bouncers, ambience, drinks

Cons: Crowded, not good for very large groups

.

My experience wasn't the best from the start, the bouncers and doormen were typically awful because even though I was on a list, they claimed that the lists expire at 11, and they had coupons on their website for free admission, and those also conveniently expired at 11 (though the coupon said it was good through midnight). The people in line ahead of me also had a bunch of problems with their list, so it seems that the planners don't have their act together. Once I got inside I wasn't overly impressed either. There are a dozen other clubs that have better music and more room to move around. The VIP tables are piled on top of each other, so even if you get one, you can fit maybe 6 people before you are spilling over onto the next one, and if they have a lot of people, they are spilling over into yours.

So I'd skip this place and if you are looking for a night out at a club, check out the Meatpacking district and skip Branch.

I had my birthday party here last Saturday night and everyone- from the bouncers, to the manager Dewey, to the cocktail waitress was extremely accommodating with my table reservation and 20 guest. I had such a great time and though the place is small, it is extremely cozy, lots of fun, and the music was excellent. Highly recommended for a small party of 15-20 people, very easygoing and accommodating service. Will definitely be back.

Went to Branch several times for birthday parties & even a corporate party. Small, but still a very nice & cozy place. There is a dancefloor and the DJ is great. Drinks are great as well. Highly recommended for a more low-key type of party.

I've had good experiences at Branch before but I came here for my 23rd birthday and had a horrible experience. The bouncer was offensive, he wouldn't let people on my guest list in, he called me an idiot! Inside after going through this ridiculous door policy we found it to be devoid of people. Branch is not in meatpacking, nor does it have the reputation to have such a door policy when obvioulsy on Friday nights people aren't coming out.

I had contacted Branch via email in regards to setting up a guestlist for a b-day party. They had sent me all the information and instructions on how to set it up. Once I sent it over, they replied with a confirmation. I was a little skeptical about how likely my friends and I would get in for free from reading about prior branch partygoers, so I printed up the entire confirmation out with my guest list just in case. Anyways, all my friends go in for free and with such ease. The music was pumping and the drinks weren't too bad. I love the space and seating area. Definately a place I would recommend. The crowd changes from time to time, but the music is pretty good...except for the 15 minutes of rock they like to play.

Had my birthday party at Branch. Was so easy to reserve tables, staff was incredibly nice. Everyone had a great time, raved about Branch and the music played. I love to dance and almost all the songs were awesome, Top 40s & good dance music, no techno. Classy crowd. Got really crowded after midnight.

Nice decor-awful clientele. Looks like this place has seen it's heyday in NYC. Might as well be located in Staten Island or the Bronx. Don't waste your time.

Went to Branch for my friend's birthday last night (03/11/06), total of about 50 people. 6 of us got there right before they open. All the staff were very professional and helpful. 2 for 1 drinks between 10 and 11, and then again around 2:30 am. Great atmosphere, DJ played good music. We reserved a few tables, and ordered several bottles of champagne, vodka, scotch.....needless to say they treated us real well.

I went with a group of friends, and we got ourselves onto a "no cover" guest list. We didn't pay a cover, and got what we paid for. The drinks were lousy, the bartenders were unattentive at best, and the waitress was rude to us. This is a place for high-rollers, as they are the only ones treated with any sense of value. The crowd strangely resemled bobbleheads.

I went to Branch this weekend for my friend's birthday. Overall we had a good experience. From 10-11 it was buy one get one or half off drinks. We got there at 1045 and had no problem getting rounds for everyone. The drinks weren't too badly priced at $8 either. Many clubs it's $9-10, but they used gross well vodka...so...The place really filled up by 12. Before 12 the music sucked. After, the DJ started playing the hits. Everything from Hip Hop, Rap, 80's, and current dance. (Don't mistake Dance with club hits, this is not Crobar, a couple of my friends were disappointed.) It was set up nicely and the crowd was pretty decent. Mainly 20's and a few early 30's. Not super trendy. It's worth checking out, especially if you can get a promo to get in for free, which we did.

Saw on their website that you can "Rsvp" by emailing your guest list before 10 p.m. on the day that you want to go for a reduced admission. I submitted my list around 3:30 p.m. on a Saturday and when I showed up with 15-20 of my guests we were told that they never received my email. After explaining that I followed thier directions the manager told me that he would not honor my email and told me that each guest now had to pay $10 cover. I even asked him if he cared whether or not a group of 15 girls and 5 guys even entered his club and he blatantly told me that he could care less. Out of principle, not money we never entered and went around the corner to a bunch of really great bars. Skip Branch and head elsewhere where they don't mislead you!

I started the night there early and it seemed like it was going to be a good time. Once the night got started it began going down hill. The music was bad, the bartenders were a bit rude, and the drinks werent that good. On top of that they give you plastic cups instead of glasses. I'm trying to think of a reason why to recommend this place but its hard for me to come up with one.

I went there for my birthday and the place was dead. I complained to the bouncers and they told of if we came back on saturday it was better and they wouldnt charge us. We came back and they lets us in free but it was dead again, they said later the place will be packed. It did get packed but the music was horrible and the DJ had an attitude we asked him to play rap or dance music and he yelled at us. Other than that it was OK, a bit pricey but i probably will go back.

My 30+ friends and I ALWAYS go out to different clubs or lounges to celebrate our b-days, and for my b-day this year we chose Branch due to a friend's recommendation. Let me tell you we were not let down! Their sexy-sweet doorman, Enzo, greated all of us (even the guys) warmly and though we were a large group, we had no problems getting in-unlike so many other places where we've had to wait forever in the tundra! My girls got in FREE and I think the guys only had to pay $5 AND there was an OPEN BAR!!! The DJ was pumping all night long and the service was on point!!! We had so much fun and to top it all off, I GOT A FREE IPOD...because it was my birthday!!!! It was the best b-day I ever had! We will DEFINATELY be back!

I am not sure why Branch feels they have to hire the most heinous people to work the door. Its one thing if this place is exclusive, fabulous service, great area, but its not. Being treated like a second-class citizen at the door is just completely unnecessary and something their management should look into.

I absolutely love BranchNY. Celebrated my birthday here w/some friends and fam. I will never forget this place. You will find 20 & 30 somethings dancing the night away to hip hop, dance, reggae, pop, and 80's. This DJ spins every genre satisfying everyone. The drinks are a tad pricey; but you will really enjoy this spot. Nice ppl, good atmosphere, attractive decor. Visit their site and look at their photos. i was expecting it to be a little different in decor from the pictures but it looks exactly the way the pictures show, unlike some other places i've seen online. i was told that i needed to give branch a guestlist for my group but several people told me they didn't even check the guestlist. the crowd was mixed with people in their 20s and 30+...the music was good...the dj played something for everyone. the drinks were moderately priced from $8-$11. note: if u want to reserve tables for your group, there is a $150 minimum per table, which isn't expensive if u go with a group of people. all in all, i had fun there for my birthday and didn't hear any complaints from anyone in my 20+ people group.

Branch looks like it should be much better. The decor is modern and new but Branch draws mostly a crowd of young financial types. Music was average with the dj spinning regular hits of hip-hop and rock n roll. Overall a average night out. However, what sent this place below avg. on my scale was the rude bouncers employed by this place. On a Friday night where there was no line, they made all smokers smoke across the street from the entrance and refused to allow one of my friends back in because he had been smoking outside, 10 ft. from the entrance rather than across the street. (Keep in mind he wasn't blazing drunk or belligerent) A party of 20 contributing to table service doesn't deserve to be insulted by bouncers who don't know any better.

Branch looks like it should be much better. The decor is modern and new but Branch draws mostly a crowd of young financial types. been going to clubs for years in NYC and have not heard such a great DJ in a while. This guy plays everything from disco to hip hop to house and back, I highly reccommend this place on Friday night.

Pros: DJ, Dancing

Cons: , bathroom lines

When a place has velvet ropes out front and charges you a $10 cover, you do NOT expect to pay $8 for a mixed drink in an eight ounce PLASTIC cup. This place is nothing special, had 15 person lines for the women's room, the only good thing was the dance floor and music.

Me and 30 friends had a guestlist for a party there last weekend and the people at Branch made it so easy. I have had parties at other clubs and it was never this easy and friendly. No attitude, no unreturned phone calls.

Two of us lost our phones after having much to drink and when I called on Monday they had both our phones and the receptionist was so sweet and waited for me to get off work and stayed beyond her time so I could get the phones. Thank you!

Great for our ages (early 30's)...it's not so much a hard core club. It has a lounge feel to it...we got a couple of tables up on the platform overlooking the dancefloor and it was great. Great place for groups. Get a table...it's yours for the night and they make you feel like a king (or queen).

Pros: Friendly Staff, Good music

My friends and I had a great time there on Friday night. I had only been there on Saturdays before. The crowd was very good looking and the staff was teriffic. No attitude at the door or the bar. It is an oasis in the world of Mnahattan nightlife.

Pros: Top Shelf Liquor, Great Staff, Great Energy

Went there this weekend. It was a pleasure from the start. There was a small line, which moved quickly. The courteous door staff seemed anxious to get everyone in. Inside, everyone was just as nice. The drinks are pricey, but not too different from other clubs. I loved the music mix. A lot of people were celebrating birthdays. Am hoping to host my own birthday party there.

Definitely not worth spending a Saturday night here. Service is terrible from the door to the bar. My school threw a party here and not everyone was allowed to go in even though the club was not at capacity.

This place reinforces why all native Manhatteners should stay away from Midtown on Friday and Saturday nights. However, they do except EZpass.

Pros: Young B&T women, Competent bartenders

Cons: , What's with the door?

As soon as I entered this venue, I knew that I would have a great time! The decor is unique, with the wrap around bar which allows many people to be able to purchase their drinks. The upper level is spacious with plush seats and great servers!! The lowered dance floor allows for lots of dancing, and just having a great time. Overall the place was energetic, which allowed me to have fun and will def be back!!

Tried Thurs happy hour. Place was completely dead, and the music was 80's Madonna. They even have a disco ball over the dance floor, which seems out of place (!) with the rest of the decor. Asked for a lemon drop martini ($8- more than advertised, but good for NYC). Got vodka. With a lemon wedge. Won't be going again.

I went to this bar/club a couple of days ago, and thought I'd check it out. The admission, if you are on their guest list is just 5 dollars--which is pretty darn good compared to 30 dollars some clubs charge today. As soon as you get there someone checks your name on the list and lets you in, otherwise you'll have to wait on line. The crowd is friendly, easygoing and attractive!! I went with my date and had a great time dancing. Although when we got there the DJ was playing too many Justin Songs (7 in a row c'mon give me a break). After that the music was excellent, ranging from Hip-Hop to Rap & R&B to Rock to 80's to Pop. All around I would recommend this place. I don't know about the bathroom lines, I didn't have any trouble on a Sat night.

The lady with the clipboard outside really needs to be told the name of the club is "Branch" and not "Lotus". Inside decor is nice, but the long lines for drinks/bathroom/smoking take away from the appeal. This could be a very nice place in a neighborhood with not too many clubby spots, but it doesn't get the point. It will continue to succeed as a birthday spot for some time until people get tired of the service.

Anyway, the girls are amazing, drinks like any other place around the neighborhood, OK, but nothing special. Got VIP treatment by buying two bottles of Grey Goose, NICE. Hotties all round, no question! Easy, fun, good DJ's both times, no problems at the door.

BUY GOLD!!!

This place is great for private parties, very accomodating, attentive and a great bar. The food was nice and the management is very helpful and goes out of their way.

I heard the hype about Branch, and was excited to check it out last Saturday night. In all honesty, this place is not worth the money or the aggravation. The woman checking the guest list needs a severe attitude adjustment. Besides the fact that you have to pay a cover charge for this place (which is definitely not worth it), they charge different amounts for different people! I (male) paid $10 to get in. I had friends who came within the next 10 minutes who had to pay 15 and 20 dollars. There wasn't ONE employee who didn't have a severe chip on their shoulder.
Overall, there is nothing special about this place, which can't be found elsewhere without the cover charge, and more imporantly, without the attitude.

I would never go there again.

I had my 30th birthday party at Branch last week and everyone that came had a great time. They were very accomodating in helping me with my guest list. The music that the dj played was great. Everything from 80's to hip hop to rock. It was a great way to enjoy turning 30.

What VIP'S? What VIP'S are coming here? Its not lotus or bunglow 8. The staff at the door needs an attitude adjustment. Cuz if it keeps girls with no dress sense and bouncers who act like they are the next face from diesal but who couldnt even be models for kmart they are going to close before their one year anniversary. But if u dont mind attitude at the door even if you are paying 10 bucks to party with drunk college kids then this is the place for u.

I went to Branch last night (Saturday) for a birthday party. It was my first time and didn't know that a club like this existed in midtown. It is a great atmosphere with great music. it was nice to be at a club for once where people aren't so stuck up - including the people working there. I guess the only negative thing I could say is that it was kind of a pain to go outside to smoke. but you can't blame them, it's bloomberg's fault!

Branch is clearly BEHIND THE CURVE. At a time when people are demanding value (and getting it) Branch is charging for water and serving $8 drinks and shots in plastic cups! At least the dress code was not strictly enforced as half the guys in the place last night were sporting dirty jeans and sneakers (is this a good thing?). NOTE TO MGMT - there's nothing wrong with charging $8 or $10 for a drink...if it's a good one. A poorly mixed cocktail served with dirty ice in a plastic cup is questionable. Fire the bar staff, invest in glassware and give (not sell) your patrons some water.

For an after work lounge, this new venue is just what midtown needed. A great tapas menu, dj and one of the best dirty martinis I've had! We'll definitely make it a regular thursday night hangout. Plus the bartenders are HOT, always an added bonus!
