I tend to judge restaurants based on their iced tea, and New Moon's is excellent. If you go for dinner you get your fortune cookies dipped in chocolate instead of plain.

This is a great little restaurant in super-cute Montrose. The waitstaff are friendly, the food is good and the portions means there's always leftovers. Everything I've tried here has been great--make sure you order for the table and share so you can try a variety of stuff. It gets crowded on the weekends so make a reservation or be prepared to wait a bit. They do have outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Just keep in mind that the rest of the restaurant is pretty much all in one big room so it can sometimes be noisy if there are a lot of big parties eating all at once.

Great Chinese restaurant! The Wor Won Ton Soup is like a meal in itself and it's filled with shrimp, chicken and a bunch of healthy vegetables. We do take-out there, but they also have a comfortable restaurant and catering too!

I have been to the Montrose location on a number of occasions, and have only had delicious food each time. My only complaint is that they don't have a combo plate, and the portions are huge! So, you end up with another complete meal to take home. The prices are not cheap, but, again, you get a lot. My favorite is the chicken in lettuce cups, scrumptious low-carb Chinese tacos! I love the chocolate dipped fortune cookies, too, but they're only served for dinner, I believe, not lunch.

The service is usually prompt, and the ambience is comfortable but elegant. They do a bouncing take-out service, and they have a shared parking lot and street parking, its usually not a problem to find a space.

I took my 85 year old mom to lunch and was sorry that we chose New Moon. We were seated and waited to be served. Meanwhile, two men were seated at the table next to us and for some unknown reason the wait person decided to served them first...probably because they were men and looked like business types. Nothing wrong with that except that my mother and I felt slighted by the female wait person. She should know better. Furthermore, I felt badly for my elderly mom who was so looking forward to the lunch. The owner or manger made a feeble attempt to talk to us-trying to be friendly- but by that time I was disgusted with the wait person, manager and restaurant as a whole. Never been back since. I make a concerted effort not to go there even though I live locally.

I was very surprised to read the negative reviews of this restaurant. We have gone there since they first opened and have virtually forgotten about the other places we used to frequent for Chinese food. We found that while the prices may be slightly higher for any one particular dish, its quality and quantity well out-weighs the rest. We have always enjoyed what ever item on the menu we choose and the service and attention given us has always been exceptional. They now have a full bar and new bar seating, but the best is sitting in the booths or outside under the umbrellas.

Delicious Chinese Food is not easy to come by around here. When a friend introduced us to New Moon, we were hooked.

I have never had better shrimp with lobster sauce in my life! Ever!! The chicken and broccoli in brown sauce is superb. The egg-rolls are amazing- big and not greasy. Sizzling rice soup is outstanding.

The restaurant is just beautiful inside. Modern, minimalist and contemporary. Always packed- separate phone numbers for reservations and take-out. Don't forget the chocolate-dipped fortune cookie..... We crave this place!!!! I can not think of a better Chinese restaurant in the extended valley area. Enjoy!

PROS: FOOD! INTERIOR! SERVICE!
CONS: CROWDED! DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT WITHOUT RESERVATION!
