I hired Imperial to help me move out of my one bedroom apt earlier this month and we were very pleased with the results. Everything went according to plan with no curveballs.

The movers were very professional and good to deal with. I will definitely be using Imperial again for my next move.

I am writing this letter in order to lavish high praise to the staff of Imperial Moving Company.
I recently faced a very difficult moving situation (I literally did NOT know where I was going to be moving to until 4 days ahead of the scheduled move date) and I found that booking my move with Yuval couldn't have been any
better than it was. He was very patient with me as we walked through the items that needed to be moved, and we went through a variety of scenarios
where everything would end up safely moved in the end. I found him to be very responsive with regards to staying in communication with me, as well as
the condo management company where I was moving from, and as a result, I was easily able to secure the appropriate moving permits.
The day of the move, the men arrived on time and I met with Juan, the foreman for this job. He was very mild, stress-free and walked through each
of the rooms with me ensuring that he knew what would be packed, moved and what would stay.
Following this, it was like watching an amazing ballet of workers. These boys had the remainder of my stuff not only packed, but IN THE TRUCK within an hour's time. They were phenomenal with the care of the piano I have had since birth (and did I say these guys are STRONG?!), and my antique armoire
and table.
These guys further went above and beyond as they then had to go to Manhattan (from the Bronx) to drop-off my king-sized bed- and they delivered AND
placed it, as well as then picked-up a daybed frame and mattress. They then came back to the Bronx to load all the stuff into the new apartment.
One of the things I appreciated most at this point was that I was asked where everything should go, and many of the boxes were even un-packed for me
during this time. I have never experienced such complete execution of a move like this.
Not a single, valuable thing was damaged in my move, and, at the end of the day, I found that the price I paid was not only fair, but I felt I had received far more value than I would normally expect from such a service.
Having just separated from my husband and being a single mother of a 2-year. old child, receiving service of this caliber truly made ALL THE DIFFERENCE
between having this transition become a nightmare or a brand new beginning.
This is my second time using Imperial Moving Company, and I will NEVER move
myself again as a result. These boys are top-notch and have the concept of customer service down-pat.
I will be recommending them to anyone who needs to move.

I really enjoyed working with imperial movers. They were quick, efficient, and very nice and polite. The team took great care of all of my belongings and moved my thing out and in to my new apartment very quickly. I'd definitely recommend Imperial to anyone who needs a mover. I did a search on the internet to find a moving company to move a very heavy upright player piano from Newburgh, NY to Clarksville, TN. I specified that I would like to be contacted by e-mail by the companies and Michael at Imperial was the only one that did not call me repeatedly instead of e-mailing. He was great to work with and the movers were very professional and careful.
I would highly recommend Imperial Movers to anyone considering a move because I was afraid of hiring a company with whom I was not familiar with, but I was pleasantly surprised!!!!

Imperial Moving made my moving experience so easy. They were professional and helpful prior to the move. The day of the move, they came on time and were very fast. They did not rush the process - they just were quick and paid a lot of attention to handling the furniture well. They ensured that all our furniture and boxes were kept intact and in good condition. They were also very friendly. I've never had a move that was so incredibly easy before. They definitely made the experience enjoyable. I would definitely recommend them as well as use them again.

My move from New York to Kentucky was made extremely smooth by the professional job done by Henry, Jose and Tino. I must say they were great. They were very professional, did their job so well that I had to ask Henry how long he had been in the bisiness, and he said 3 yrs if I remember correctly. Somebody moved from an apartment next to mine two days prior, and while the moving company that moved them started @ 8am, they were not finished till after 6pm. Henry & Co started @ 1pm, and by 5pm the last item was on the truck and necessary papers signed.
They arrived minutes before the time agreed upon, did their job expertly fine, unloaded in KY the next day as agreed. Nothing was broken, and nothing was missing.
Will not hesitate to refer this crew to friends and anybody visiting this site.

These movers were excellent. They carefully, but very quickly packed up our boxes and furniture pieces. Even our most prized possessions were unharmed. I would recommend these movers, hands down, to anyone, and have recommended them. The rates they charge are very competitive and from my research, the least expensive. It was obvious that the individual booking the move for us, as well as the movers who moved our belongings, were most concerned that we were completely satisfied with the move, which we were.

My moving was handled professionally. They arrived 5-10 minutes early and picked up everything within one hour. I was worried a little bit that they will be late on delivering my stuff in the destination since I have to go out of town but after I told Yuval about the date I intended them to come, they really delivered my stuff within the desired date. There are no serious damaged on the good, except just 1 table leg but the table is not expensive at all and it is easily fixed too. Overall, I will definitely used them again considering their dependability and their quote is very reasonable.

We spent many hours researching moving companies in Manhattan before deciding which one to use. We finally decided on "Imperial Moving & Storage" and we were very happy with our decision. Yuval came onsite and provided a quote and ensured that all our questions were answered . He was extremely accommodating and understood all of our concerns. We were nervous about the move, especially being 7 months pregnant, and everything went smoothly. We were satisfied with the price we paid and were extremely happy with the level of service. From the beginning of receiving a price quote to the end of the actual move Imperial was wonderful to deal with, with no hidden fees or surcharges.

The foreman, Marco, and his crew were very professional, cordial, efficient, and careful with our belongings. The movers worked hard, and took great care of our light colored furniture, everything was covered with shrink wrap and new blankets. They were extremely careful with our fragile items, many glass and mirrored, making sure they were packed with protection. Our furniture arrived in perfect condition, no scratches or nicks, and the upholstered furniture remained clean.

A light fixture in the apartment complex was damaged when moving the furniture into our apartment and Imperial immediately took care of reimbursing us for the damage. The customer service has been exceptional. We would definitely recommend Imperial Moving to any of our friends and would absolutely use them again for future moves.

Were easy to deal with on the phone in planning the move. The crew showed up on time and worked really efficiently. They moved a piano and an antique chest without any damage. They were also very pleasant. They were right on with their estimate!

I have had 2 bad experiences with other movers charging double what they said they would and damaging things.... Imperial really made me happy by sticking to their extremely reasonable estimate and doing a really good job!

Imperial Movers has been the best moving company we have ever used. The foreman and his crew were very punctual, professional, cordial, efficient, and very caring with our belongings. I am very satisfied with the price we paid and I would definitely recommend Imperial Moving to any of our friends. We plan to use them again when we move our belongings from their storage facilities to our new home.

I used Imperial for a move from New-York City to Boston, and it was by far the best movers I ever used.
Those guys are great, they quoted me a price based on my inventory, and they were very accurate with their estimate.
I was extremely satisfied with the service, The movers worked very hard, and they took great care of my furniture, everything was covered with blankets, and for the fragile items they used bubble wrap as additional protection.
My only suggestion is for the movers to have GPS units (or some quality maps) during a long distance move to aid in navigating in unfamiliar neighborhoods.

I spent a few hours researching moving companies and im glad I found these guys. They arrived on time I thought it was nice that they called ahead of time to let me know that they were on their way, thanks to
Michael. There werent any problems throught out the entire move. Elo, the foreman was great convincing me not to worry. They helped me pack a few bags very securely. The furniture was properly wrapped, not one piece was left with a scratch unlike my last move that was a nightmare with a few missing items as well. The guys moved very quickly even though it took longer than expected.
One improvement would be to have an electric or rechargeable drill, instead of manual, which took too long to take off the legs of the couch so it could fit thru.
These guys are very much into customer satisfaction and it shows!! Thanks again

After posting my review, Dan from Imperial called me to discuss my experience. True to his excellent customer service when we first met, he apologized for the issues I experienced and worked with me to rectify the problems. Imperial sent a repairman to fix the antique chest. We worked out a satisfactory compromise on the unpacking charges. Customer service is very important to Imperial and they really showed it.

Original:
After receiving quotes of comparable prices from several moving companies, I selected Imperial based on the reviews here. Met with Dan and liked his customer service but things went downhill when the crew arrived. The foreman didn't seem to know what had been pre-arranged (2 day move - pack day 1, move and unpack day 2). The foreman thought everything was to be done in one day. I agreed to let them move some things to their truck on day 1 but the foreman didn't listen well and moved an antique item that I said should stay. This item which was subsequently damaged, scratched and dented. After packing for about 2 hours, I noticed bottled water, soda and cups had been used in the kitchen and left empty around the apartment. I don't see why they didn't have the courtesy to just ask for a drink, the answer would have been yes. Soon after this, the foreman asked me to review the contract and specifically mentions that a 20% tip is customary and said didn't we deserve it based on their service so far?? Finally, when the unpacking occurred, I would have to say that was the worst of the 3 services, they didn't ask where to put things that were being unpacked and just shoved things wherever they could. When they finally left, several boxes were left unpacked. I think packing was done poorly - when there is real art with paint exposed, the items should be padded, the unpacking was done horribly. I would only suggest hiring them to physically move the items and no more.

No problems at all, everything we needed was fine with them..They were Juan and David...I haven?t had such as good experience in anything for a long time..Handled everything, polite, reassuring...PROFESSIONAL....their attitude was they couldn?t do enough..Far beyond my expectations. I?ve spent some time looking for a moving company & I decided to choose Imperial Moving&Storage. I?ve heard so many bad stories about movers in NYC so I was prepared for the worst. I was just waiting for the day of my move to have it done... And here comes the surprise:) These guys were just great!!!!! I have to say that they were working in unusual circumstances - it was freezing outside & our street was closed due to road works that day, so their truck had limited access to my building!!!!! Henry and his 2 guys moved my apartment within 3 hours as agreed on the phone. They started at 9:30 & finished at 12:35 - I was impressed!!! They were so professional, so fast & hardworking; these guys really know what they are doing!!!!! I will definitely recommend them to my friends!!!!!!

We finally decided on "Imperial Moving & Storage" and it was an absolutely great decsion. Michael came onsite and provided an onsite quote for us and Yuval ensured that all my questions/concerns were answered . He was extremely accomodating and he understood all of my concerns.
Then moving day came and team showed up about 20 minutes early. Although we were moving from an elevator building, it was not under the best conditions. There were cars parked in our building's loading zone area and the team still managed to efficiently load all of our furniture and boxes (that they packed) negotiating the tiny spaces between parked cars without doing any damage. They never once complained about any constraints and were extremely polite and efficient.
After the move was completed, I was sent an email with a survey. I suggested that the move would have been perfect if only they collected the boxes and packing materials. Withim 15 minites I received a response from Yuval that for a very small fee they would be happy to do that. The 2 guys that arrived to collect the boxes were also extremely friendly and efficient.
Moving is never fun but I have to say that Imperial Movers and Storage definitely helped make it quite a pleasant experience.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
The purpose of this note is to share a positive testimony about our recent move which occured on the 17th January in Manhattan with a company called "Imperial Moving & Storage". We had heard many horror stories before about inexpensive moves that did not go well: "the company did not show up", "the guys were rude and impolite", "the moving guys charged more after all my stuff was already in the van", "there were hidden charges I was not told about", etc, ..
However, our experience with Imperial was very positive for the following reasons:
1) The salesperson on the phone was friendly, polite and accommodating. He gave us a rate and always kept his word. He took care of all documentation.
2) The foreman arrived well on time and introduced us to his team, who were also courteous and polite.
3) Before the move began, the foreman reviewed all costs with us and confirmed all details.
4) The team worked fast and efficiently. Whenever we had a question, it was answered promptly and politely. The movers were always very accommodating. 5) Not a single light bulb was broken during the move. They demonstrated a good combination of care and efficiency.
6) There was no pressure of any kind. At the end, we gave the foreman a well-deserved tip for his team.
This is why we do not hesitate to provide our highest recommendation to the company "Imperial Moving and Storage"

I used Imperial moving during Thanksgiving Day weekend and the movers were helpful, trustworth and hardworking. I've moved several times in NYC and this was the best experience so far. We moved out of a brownstone and they had one man on each landing, plus one by the truck which made the move efficient and safe. I moved into a higher end elevator building and they respected all of the building rules and were not distruptive to other tenants. They were done by the allotted time and worked very hard. All breakable items were well taken care of. I would fully recommend using this company for your next move.
P.S. They even showed up 30 minutes early!

This company is amazing. I have had and heard so many hellish stories from movers in NYC. This company was perfect from start to finish. Excellent customer service in setting up the move, great friendly movers who were competent, polite and friendly. They were upfront and honest about the charges and extremely efficient. I cannot reccomend this company enough. They were fantastic. 5 + stars!!!

I have moved before, and noone has ever showed so much care and great customer service like imperial did with me. Originally i was supposed to move directly from one apt to another(without storage). Then, I found out that my apt would not be ready in time to do so, so I had them put my things in storage for a couple of days. Yuvall, who helped me out was very friendly and tried to cater to my needs as much as possible. My management company kept extending the amount of time it would take them to get my new apt ready, and when it was all said and done it ended up being two weeks later. Not only did they keep my things in storage the whole time, but they told me exactly how much everything would cost, and actually ended up charging me less than the originally quoted price! They handled all of my things with care, and finally for the first time in all of my moving experience, nothing got broken! On top of all of this great service, I cant think of any other company thats as affordable and offers such a great level of customer service!!!

I am writing you this letter just to let you know how happy your company made me, with my move to Florida. My husband and I , and our big dog got into the car and left for Florida not knowing where we would live. We left our possessions in two storage bins, back home in Smithtown, Long Island. I started looking for movers a few months before we left. I received tons of emails from so many movers. Some gave me quote that were so high it was frightening, others so low it was just as frightening. I was so confused, and mixed up I didn't know what to do!

Then I received a call from Imperial movers, and someone by the name of Danny spoke to me, and asked me a few questions about my move. He then gave me an estimate on the amount of stuff I had to move. I explained how it was in two storage bins all packed up. He told me I had nothing to worry about and explained how the truck would go there and pick it all up and bring it down to Florida.

To my surprise, when the time came to leave we finally got to florida, had no place to live, went to a motel, with our big dog, call a few brokers to find us a rental. Finally after 4-5 days and really stressing out, being homeless, we found a beautiful little house. I decided to call Imperial and tell them I was ready. They assured me that they would send a truck to my storage bins and my daughter met them there so she could for see the move going as planned. She called me to tell me that they arrived, started repacking stuff that I carelessly had forgotten to pack properly.She told me how nice the guys were and bought them coffee, then lunch, and dinner. It was a huge move, and it took a long time.

After calling Danny and planning the move, I was surprised to get a phone call the next evening, from someone who said he was the driver of my moving truck! I said" How could that be!" how did you get to Florida so quick?!!! he assured me that he was there. And he was! he met us at the house in 10 minutes.

Not only did they get my stuff there sooner than I ever expected, but, they removed everything off the truck with such care and concern. Nothing was scratched, nothing broken, no walls scratched, and neat as a pin with everything they did. My beds were put together without asking, and I can truly say I had the best nights sleep after all that stress of driving down, no place to live, confused about the moving company to choose, hoping all would go well.

PLEASE TRUST ME, WHEN I TELL YOU THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST!!! THEY KEPT THEIR EVERY WORD TO ME, FROM DAY 1 UNTIL THE DAY WE MOVED IN. IF YOU WANT HONEST PEOPLE WHO YOU CAN TRUST, GO WITH IMPERIAL, THEY REALLY DO CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!!! THEY WERE SENT FROM HEAVEN TO GET ME TO FLORIDA, IN ONE BIG HAPPY MOVE!!! these dudes moves a friend of mine a few weeks ago. they found them here on citysearch. i think he was happy because it was quick and easy. i have been reviewing movers lately because i think its a tough thing to get right, i moves 11 times and i hated doing it myself use imperial in nyc.

I had the chance to move a few time in the past year. the last time i moved from hells kitchen to Astoria.
I got a great price from imperial moving. no extra charges last minute.
The movers got to my place right on time, it took them about 20 min to get all my stuff (a bedroom and a kitchen) in to the truck, and when they got to my place in astoria in took them about 10-15 min to unload everything.. they were very nice and took care of everything. all and all, best moving expiriance i had so far. will defenatly use them again.

Great service, Great price! I was extremely happy with the level of service, from the phone booking, day before confirmation, the movers were on time, careful, courteous and efficient. My entire move from uptown to downtown took 2 hours. The price was less than I expected. I couldn't have been happier.

My husband and I were dreading this move but Imperial moving did a great job for us. We had spoken to three movers and these guys gave us the best quote. They showed up ahead of time, packed everything carefully and moved it as if it was their own. We were also surprised at the speed with which they worked. In about 3-4 hours, we were at our new place (which was atleast a 40 min drive away). Overall, a very satisfying experience.

I recently moved from Manhattan to Brooklyn.
I had to get a mover real quick because my lease was about to end, and I had less then one week to move out.
Imperial movers gave me the best offer out 8 different companies I checked.
On the day of the move I got a call 2 hours before schedule to ask if they can start to work earlier and that was helpful as well.
When did took things down from my top floor apartment, they made sure all the boxes was secured before they took them to the truck, and they wrapped and packed everything in a very professional manner.
Before they left they made sure nothing was left behind, and when they dropped the stuff at my new home, the made sure I got everything.

I would recommend them to all my friends.

Okay, NEVERMIND that the owner is a friend of mine. Can I just tell you - these boys just took care of BUSINESS.

From the beginning process of filling in the estimate form (which was completely adjustable as the assessment of items continued to fluctuate), to the actual move date - I would describe the entire process with one word: FLAWLESS.

The foreman and crew arrived EARLY, assessed the items in the apartment correctly and not only did they pack us, but they had us packed and fully loaded into the truck in under three hours. We all broke for lunch, and they had us moved INTO our new apartment before 2:30 PM.

I didn't loose a SINGLE thing to breakage or damage. NOT one thing. And I've never seen ANYONE (let alone a crew of 5 men) work THIS quickly, in coordination and good concert in my life! Man, what a team!

Please, take this review for what it's worth - I have ALWAYS moved myself - with friends and others to help. It has always taken 10 times longer to get the job done, and has always left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Now that I have a small child and had very minimal time to get completely packed and moved, I would have paid TWICE as much for the service I got.

The movers showed with all of the correct materials and the appropriately sized vehicle and I will NEVER go back to doing "moving" myself EVER AGAIN.

I would, and plan to use Imperial Movers for my next move, and I recommend you do as well.

I called them at the last minute as I was dredding this move and was surprised how quickly and cheaply that they were able to pull it off, talk about being stress free when your in the middle of a divorce. Besides my ex-wifes b*tching and moaning the move was great thanks to these guys. My ex-wife was even amazed and trust me that is no easy feat,quite amazing actually. If I ever get divorced and are forced to move again I will definately use them again.

I hired Imperial Movers to help me move last weekend and it was a great experience. Initially I planned to do the move with friends and a hired van but I quickly realized that it would take us a full day and the money I'd save I would have to spend on advil and massages afterwards.
The movers came on time and did a great job - it must have been the hottest day (95 degrees) and these guys were like troopers. They handled all my fragile items with care and packed up my 1 bedroom in no time. Within 4 hours I was in the new apartment stunned how fast and stress-free the move went.
I highly recommend to hire a moving company in general and Imperial Movers specifically - it is not as expensive as you might think and well worth the money!

Had a move over the weekend and it couldn't have gone better! I hate moving...it's exhausting and extremely stressful and always seems to come at a bad time. I did everything i could on my part (packing & stacking) and the rest was left to the guys at Imperial. They showed up on time, moved everything super efficiently, observed the word 'FRAGILE' on the boxes and moved me from point A to point B with no problems. I was done faster than anticipated which is always a welcomed surprise. When it came time to pay the bill, everything was in order as we agreed and I was happy to settle up, plus tip the guys. I highly recommend these guys to anyone.

Things came up like scheduling issues that made the move go less smoothly than anticipated. However the crew was very friendly fast and efficient. The manager also responded quickly and fully compensated us, stating that more important then making money to them is providing a pleasurable experience. I would recommend them, things happen that can not be predicted but in the end we were delt with fairly and they more than made up for everything.

It was our first move ever in Manhattan and we were nervous about choosing a moving company because we have heard such horror stories. When I called around for quotes they gave me the lowest quote. Flatrate quoted me almost TWICE as much. And Flatrate told me that any "hourly" rate companies had all kinds of hidden charges they weren't telling us about. So I called Danny at Imperial again and grilled him on "hidden charges." He was SO open and layed everything out on the line, and did not raise the rate. So the lowest quote I got turned out to be FANTASTIC! They were done an hour and a half earlier than they quoted us and they really gave it their all. The foreman, John, was extremely fair and knowledgeable- a very likable guy. And he worked his butt off on our 3rd floor walkup with his guys. My boyfriend and I only have wonderful things to say about them. Thanks Imperial!!!!

Moving is hairy, under the best of circumstances. But the guys at Imperial made it so smooth and calm. I had undersestimated my moving needs...they worked 2 days, non-stop...packing and moving a house that my mother lived in for close to 60 years. The price was more than reasonable...they really made everything so easy. i have already recommended them to my friends. The packing that they ended up doing was expertly done, there wasn't any breakage. The guys were friendly, polite, and worked non-stop. I bought them a pizza, just so they would take fewe minutes. They didn't require much direction...after telling the foreman what I wanted, off to work they went. i was actually sorry to see them go, becasue that meant I had to start UNPACKING. Ugh. If it were just as easy as moving was. If ever I move again, I would most assuredly utilize Imperial. and also a big thank you to Jessica...for a great price and a big help. marguerite h.

I recently moved in NYC and was so happy that I went with Imperial. I have moved several times in the last few years and this experience was by far the best and easiest. They offered me a great rate which included a stop at my near by storage unit to pick up more things after they started at my apartment. Their customer service was great! Anise was wonderful with booking my move and Juan and his team treated all my belongings with care. They finished the job faster than I thought was possible! I checked out several movies companies before I booked with them and it was obviously the right decision. Everone else was going to charge me much more for the same job that Imperial did perfectly. From someone who knows how hard it is to move I would certainly recommend Imperial.

Ok, so after the last move (before using Imperial) I knew it was time to grow up, be an adult, fork over some cash and hire movers. And after hearing horror stories, I am so lucky that I came across Imperial. Worked out by accident, I was only searching for places to get boxes from but when I spoke with Daniel on the phone, he clearly was running a great place and knew exactly what he was talking about and I realized these were the guys to go with! I live in Brooklyn, and the move involved my apartment (walk-up) AND my boyfriend's apartment (elevator) into a third, new apartment (walk-up, 4th floor). These guys have their system down beautifully. They are so incredibly efficient, there were no "hidden fees" jacking up the price at the end or anything like that, they were prompt and handled all of our stuff beautifully. On top of everything else, they were just a great group of nice guys to interact with. They truly changed the whole idea of moving for me, they are complete pros and I am recommending them to all of my friends. Moving can be terribly painful and stressful, but now I know that it actually does not have to be a completely hellish experience. If you want your move to be as hassle-free as possible, go with these guys, I highly recommend them.

I've had a lot of nightmare experience with movers in the past (one guy didn't show up at all, another charged a billion dollars more than the initial quote), so I was looking for a mover that's reasonably priced and legitimate.
Imperial charged me exactly what they said they would; they did a solid job on both pickup and delivery; and when there was a problem (the first delivery truck was too big to get on to the road where I live), they were responsive and resolved it in a timely manner.

I was absolutely delighted with the performance of Imperial Moving and Storage and would highly recommend this company. The loading of the truck went smoothly and the emptying of the truck into the new apartment went without a hitch!!! The movers arrived on time and did not complain about our steps at all. ( all 50 of them to the front door!). Their manner was professional and pleasant. They handled everything efficiently, and made me personally feel less anxious about handing off our belongings to a stranger. This is my first time writing a review, but after doing a lot of research and hearing a lot of horror stories I just wanted to put out something positive. There do exist companies that are honest and efficient.

These guys have it! I had my stuff in storage for over a year, in a storage pod, back home. My pods were moved up here, they unloaded the pods into their truck and then over to my place...a 4-story walk-up! They were all great! So friendly, professional, quick, and very pleasant. I was so scared about a certain piece of furniture--it was VERY large, heavy, and tricky to move--they treated it with extra care and got it moved in! I will, without a doubt use them again when it comes time to move to another location. Jessica was very upfront, fair, and friendly. No hidden costs or tricks up their sleeves! My experience with Imperial was a nightmare almost from start to finish. I'm a college student in NY and needed to store several boxes for the summer. The fee I was given for the move into storage, along with the subsequent per-month storage charge, were both much less than what I ended up having to pay, and the price to get my things out of storage was almost double what I paid to move them there in the first place! I was told it wouldn't be possible to claim my things from the storage facility myself for at least another week, when I would no longer have access to a car and thus no way of getting my boxes back to my dorm. When I did get my boxes, one of mine was missing and, in its place, someone else's box. I never received a promised call concerning the state of my missing box, and had to wait two days before I could get a hold of someone at the office. I was told I would receive my box within two hours; five hours later I called the office again and was told I would get it within an hour. The majority of a day wasted, and all due to a mistake they made! I will certainly never use them again, and I strongly urge anyone considering Imperial to look elsewhere.

This was my first real move--from an apartment in Manhattan to a two-family house in Brooklyn. I chose Imperial because of their excellent reviews on Citysearch and their relatively low hourly rate (plus no time minimum--most of the places I contacted had at least a four-hour minimum). I am so glad I went with Imperial. The three movers showed up at 9 AM on the dot. They were really nice, and really fast. They had all my stuff out of my apartment in an hour. They disassembled my bed quickly and made sure everything was secure. And they had everything into the apartment in Brooklyn in *45 minutes*, even though there were stairs. They snapped a piece onto my bed frame that I'd never been able to figure out how to use, and they had ideas on arranging my furniture. I would HIGHLY recommend Imperial Moving--they made a stressful morning pretty pleasant.

Imperial made my move such an easy process - Jessica was great, taking care of all of my co-op's rules and requirements, and the movers were the absolute best. Alex was my foreman, he and his crew were timely, friendly and professional. Nothing was a problem, from helping us pack up the last of our boxes, to assembling all of my furniture, they were an absolute pleasure. They were so careful with all of our things that I wound up having them move paintings I had planned on taking myself, because I thought they'd get it there more safely than i would, and they did. Everything got to our destination undamaged. Nothing was misplaced or broken, and I never heard them say that they couldn't take something or that it didn't fit. They got to my new home and started unloading quickly and efficiently. They were always on the move, no one was ever standing around doing nothing or moving slow. They stayed until everything was where we wanted it, and the price was great, even though I underestimated the number of boxes we had by a lot. All in all, they made moving stress free. I would highly recommend them.

I was worried about my move because it was slightly more complicated - I was swapping apartments with someone in my building so neither apartment was ever empty, and I have a picky super and strict building rules about moving. Imperial Movers came in and did a wonderful job - they were so friendly, professional, and extremely fast! Every other moving company (I called about 5 others) told me I needed 4 guys and estimated 4+ hours, and Imperial did it with 3 guys in **1.5 hours**. I ended up just paying the minimum and there were no hidden charges (they brought blankets and tape and didn't charge for any of it). I ended up paying less than half of what other companies were trying to charge as a flat rate. Even my doormen and super commented on how professional and how good these guys were, and my super asked for their card because now he wants anybody moving into my building to use them! They were so friendly and nice, and Jessica from their office arranged everything perfectly (sent email confirmations, called to confirm, etc.). I was so pleasantly surprised to see how friendly the movers were and they made the move completely stress-free! These were the best movers I've used in NY and I'd recommend them to anybody.

I would recommend Imperial Moving to everyone. I did a search for competitive moving quotes online. Jessica from Imperial called me within about 15 minutes and spent quite a while on the phone finding out exactly what I had and gave me a quote. Nearer the date of the move someone else from Imperial called to confirm, which helped put my mind at ease. 4 movers turned up (a manageable 15 minutes late, but that can be forgiven on Sunday at 8am. I wasn't exactly ready myself.) and immediately got to work. Juan was great at calming my nerves, as was Noberto. They were such pros and they went beyond just moving the furniture. Every now and then I'd have a freak out and they would calm me down. They truly went above and beyond.
I had over 50 boxes, a lot of furniture, and a whole garden that got moved from my duplex into the new place from 8:15am to 1:45pm. This was hands down the best $660 I EVER spent. (And that was with the $50 insurance in case there were damages. There weren't.). I had spent about $600 on my previous move with a 'man with a van' I found on Craigslist. We had to do 3 trips because I didn't realize how much stuff I had accumulated in 1 studio apartment. His assistant had already been sent home and I did all the heavy lifting since the man in question was old enough to be my father. Who knew that I could have done it for cheaper through Imperial? And they would have done all the work! In one go! When I thanked Juan, (he was kind of like the foreman of the group, he dealt with all the paperwork etc, and gave instructions to the others,) I singled he and Noberto out as being especially great. He shook his head and said all 4 of them were a team. These guys and this company totally got me through what could have been a horrible experience. They are everything you could hope for and then some. And the price was absolutely great too.

First, from beginning to end, these were some of the nicest people I have dealt with as movers.
They did everything they could to make the move organized, quick and pleasant. They arrived exactly on time, took less time than I thought they would, charged the exact amount they had said that they would charge. They came with all sorts of extra packing materials "just in case" and didn't charge extra when they had to use them. The price was fair, they kept in touch all along, and they were so careful with the belongings they were moving (they knew it was a move to transfer heirlooms down a generation) it was touching. I would use them again for anything, across town or, as this was, 900 miles away.

We were nervous about having to spend so much on moving, but after the horror stories we'd heard, we figured flat-rate was our best shot. And the people at Imperial were really attentive and honest--they pride themselves on treating their customers right. That may sound like just a slogan, but in this case, it certainly seems to be true. There were no hidden costs, no sudden "adjustments" to the estimate, and the team that moved our stuff was EXCELLENT. Juan and his crew were really the best--prompt, quick, careful and nice. We were done moving all our stuff by about 1PM--a MIRACLE! True, we had most things packed, but theyhandled everything that needed extra care; the guys even moved all my plants with nary a leaf disturbed. All our boxes and trunks and shelves and furniture, and only one wine glass broken--and I'd packed that myself, so it was most probably my fault.

We would use them again in a heartbeat, if we were ever going to move again...which we're not, of course. Moving may be awful, but Imperial made the actual moving day a real pleasure!

Got quotes from other "top" moving companies and their rates were double. Imperial Moving is professional, reliable and great to work with. THis is the first time I got movers and I was annoyed at how expensive some of the other quotes were. Thankfully I relied on the reviews posted here and called up for a quote. It was affordable and stress-free. They were flexible with the amount of boxes I expected to have and they were polite at all times. The movers arrived on time, did their job and left without incident. They worked hard and never came across as threatening or sketchy. I never write reviews but I felt this company deserved the praise. I highly recommend Imperial Moving.

The organization I work for just had a huge event at Lincoln Center for over 2000 people and we needed a moving company to help us out with two separate moves for over 300 boxes. These guys were on time, professional, courteous, and best of all, FAST. We will be using them next year for the same event and I definitely suggest you use them for whatever you need. A + Service.

I had a move which had two stops before my ultimate destination, the movers were ontime, professional, extremely careful with all items. If I ever move again, I would definately use Imperial.

I just moved this weekend and I have to say that this was a peice of cake. I was quoted a flate rate estimate by a sales person who came to my apt. In the end there were no hidden charges it was exactly the amount that they quoted me. The movers were on time and even called to give me to tell me that they may be running a little ahead of schedule. The move took 4 hours total from start to finish and that included 1 stop.
I highly recomend them they were so friendly and really listened to my concerns.

Moving, as we all know is VERY stressfull...and I can honestly say, I might just be the queen of stress. Not so, with these guys, they calmed me down (not easy in any circumstances), and proceeded to move me and my apartment. I have to say that they did everything, down to taking down the door to my apartment and the front door of the building, after trying every single angle to get the sofa out known to man, and a few unknown ones! WOW! they were fabulous...all I have to say is: if you're moving...USE THESE GUYS...THEY ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH, AND BY THE WAY...THEY KEPT TO THE QUOTE TO THE PENNY.
