Lucio's BYOB and Grill

If someone were to ask me which restaurant I would choose if I wanted fine dining in Houston, I would say Lucios. The setting is comfortable and intimate and the food is outstanding. I've dined there at least six times and I've tried a wide variety of selections from the menu (except for the desserts). It's all been outstanding. Most of the entries are under $20 and two people can each enjoy a three course meal with coffee afterwards for under $80 with tip. Not bad in today's Houston restaurant scene. I'm not sure what Gloria M. (who rated it a 2-star) was referring to when she complained about the high prices and small portions. In my opinion, she's off base on both counts. Unless of course you're wanting taqueria prices or looking to gorge yourself on a 5,000 calorie meal.

My sister in law had been bragging about this place for months. When we finally met there to celebrate her birthday, I was somewhat disappointed. The atmosphere IS nice and the service as a whole was good, but the food was nothing to brag about, the portions were small and the prices were HIGH. Even thought it is nice to be able to bring your own wine, I probably would not go back, its just not my taste.
